4. Chapter 4

Moon and sun return chapter 4 through the ice and humanity

This chapter will make change to a few story points but that won't completely change the story

I will also introduce some characters hinted at in the first chapter

This chapter will cover the events of episodes 5[back half] – 7

Rayla

As we hit the rapids, I admitted my fear of water and how it made me sick. But the boys helped us make it out alive but very wet. Then the voice in my head said, "was that so bad you are just soaked to the bone but unhurt." But it was after we recovered, I noticed the cube lighting up on the ocean rune. Then after that a giant fished came out and flipped over our boat. I made it back to land but soon had to reenter the water to help the princes. But mostly bait needed to be saved. To our good luck, saving the glow toad helped the boys out of the water and when they did Callum used the incomplete lightning spell to kill the giant fish and get us out of the problem.

It was after we got out of the water, the boys thanked me for saving Bait. I then admitted I feared admitting my fear to the boys and looking weak. Then I told them moon shadow elves are supposed to ever show fear. Then after that, the voice said to me "it should be okay to talk then about your parents." Then I admitted my parents were part of the group that was supposed to protect the dragon king but ran away. Then it was after that I was alone from the boys and noticed my hand was starting to turn purple.

After that I noticed a twig break and went to check on it to find a deer but after that, I was caught in a net and found a human hunter behind it. I then had to fight the hunter while trying to tell him I wasn't a bad person. But managed to escape from him by using his own net.

Callum pov

It wasn't long after we escaped the river, my brother and I took a nap only to wake up with Rayla not around us. But thankfully we didn't steal the egg. After that, my brother told me I talked in my sleep but before I had the answer, Rayla came running and said, "we had to move." As we ran, I wondered what trouble the elf girl got into and why we had to run.

I wanted to walk on an easier path, but Rayla chose to go through the mountains and my brother complained about how heavy the egg was. But wasn't willing to let the elf girl carry it. it was about that time I noticed a small dog with a pack on it hiding in the bushes and wondered what was with it as it saw me and hid again. Then before climb, we went to stop for lunch. But when we stopped, I discovered we left the food due to the rush and the elf girl was about to share her juice until she discovered Bait drank it as well.

It was after that, we got into a fight about the egg with the elf girl and in time she said it had to be my brother or I to return the egg and try to end the war. But that shouting match started to crack the ice and the final nail in the hammer that broke the ice was Bait and a loud juice burp he unleashed. After that we tried to outrun the ice as I noticed Rayla's hand was turning a darker shade. It was after that; I finally came up with the idea to use my wind spell to stop as much snow as I could. That managed to save us for the most part, but we still got covered in snow and my brother ended up on a cracking frozen lake with the egg in his arms.

I made it to my brother but needed to hand the egg to the elf girl, but she revealed she had a binding on her hand that would only go away went my brother died. Then as the ice was breaking, I tried to hand her the egg, but her hand didn't have the strength and it feel through the ice.

Rayla pov

As the boy dove into the icy water, the voice in my head said "just wait a little and get him. if you get lucky the binding may break and he could be brought back in time. As he was under the water, the binding on my hand broke and as it did, a white dog jumped in the water and as it did turn into a sea lion and then the sea lion came out with both Ezra and the egg in tow. Then the sea lion turned into a human boy and began to push down on the young prince's chest over and over until he started coughing. Then the boy switched into a half dog half human form and said "can you look away while I get dressed? I will explain who I am and what I am after that." I then said "you are one of the beast people. But I thought beast people can only turn into one animal form."

After the boy put on cloths he said "I am on unlike most beast people. I can freely take on different beast forms at will. By the way, my name is Tamaki kagemori and I have been following you three for a while." Callum then asked me "why haven't I heard of beast people and how did you save my brother, wasn't he dead?" Tamaki said, "he was dead at least long enough to solve your elf friend's issue." I then remembered what the voice said about bringing back the boy and wondered if it would have told me how to do that.

It was after that, the boy asked us "do you'll want some food? I have lots enough in my bag for a few days and since we are so close to town, I can restock sooner rather than later." The dog boy then looked at me and asked me "so does your kind of elf eat meat or not?" I replied "fruits and vegetables only. I prefer moon berries if you have any." He replied "sadly nope. I have a vegan MRE with no meat if you want." I replied, "what is an MRE?" he replied, "it is a meal in a bag, and it will keep you either filled up for a day or you can eat it over a day." I said back "I guess I will take it; at worst I can pick out the parts I like." He then handed me a bag that he tore open that said "Cheese Tortellini on it and then said, "let's go to a cave to warm the little one up and eat."

As we found a cave, he handed the boys meals and then started a fire for Ezra as I asked him "why are you helping us?" Tamaki said, "my people have only been on this continent for my lifetime and the beast people want a war between the humans nations and the elf nations the least and as long as curtain people don't make things worst war should be preventable." The boy then showed us how to make our meals edible and they were shockingly good to eat. then Callum asked, "how long will you stay with us and help us?" he replied "after Ezra recovers, I will split up with your group. I will likely join back up once you hit Xadia or get into another major problem comes up.

Callum pov

While we recovered, Rayla looked for food and I asked the dog boy about beast people, and he replied "with most beast people can shift between human, beast, and a mixed form. We came from another world to this world or, so I was told." I then asked, "can beast people use magic?" the boy replied "some can, and some can't what beast we are determines what arcana we can connect to. I can use moon magic, but I have a stop to make to learn." I then asked, "did you use magic to save my bother?" he replied "nope, I medical trick called CPR and it lets me restart stopped hearts only in some cases." My brother then asked, "do you know how to help this dragon egg?" the dog boy replied, "there is only one dragon I know, and he doesn't leave the city much." It was after that the boy turned into a bird and flew away and Rayla returned to the cave to and gave my brother medicine for his nose.

It was after my brother was okay enough to move again, we went to a town to get more supplies and try to get help for the egg. Then to blend in with humans Rayla covered herself with a hood, changed her way of talking and put on gloves. My brother and I went to the vet while Rayla tried to get supplies. I didn't ask how she planned to get them.

Tamaki pov

When I met that elf and human, I could tell they were likely the ones that could change the world they just didn't know how much they could do it. the two had a slight scent of dragon and if they needed to save the dragon prince they would likely be drawn to the place. I knew that letting the longer boy die for a little bit would make things easier on the next stage of their journey. I also knew as the conflict grew; they would have the chance to awaken. I also knew humans couldn't help them save the egg. I also knew forces in their homeland could cause major problems for the trio. I didn't know what the mage Viren would do yet but it could make the war worst.

Callum pov

In the village, we saw a guy using a magic blade to win a fight and after that. We went to the animal doctor, and I noticed my brother was good with horses. Then after talking around the issue with the egg, we showed it and learned he couldn't do anything to help the egg. But he did tell us of a miracle healer that helped a girl and her pet wolf. After that, the voice told me "Hatching the egg will be your first trial." I then asked the voice in my mind "what will I gain from these trials?" the voice said, "these trials will help you gain more than you can imagine but also test if you have what it takes to change the world and not just you are being tested so is the other." I kept wondering what all we would have to do to gain the power and how it would help end the war between elves and humans once and for all.

When we talked to the girl, we found her living alone in a cabin as she told us her wolf and how the wolf named Eva was hurt and helped by a miracle healer. That healer was somewhere in the curse Caldera and helped her wolf. Then it turned out when Rayla rejoined us. She had to steal to get supplies and we had to outrun a horde of people after her.

Chapter end

The next chapter will be the conclusion to season 1 with sets up to stuff I will do in season 2

But I won't do season 2 until I at least get Atlantis lostbelt storyline in my fgo story

But first I will start another new story I have been planning about what if Towa Higarashi [ yashahime] had adventures and will get a reason to return to the present. That main adventure will start during chapter black of yuyu hakusho she will be paired with one of the boys to be revealed as I get into the story

I will develop the story for a few chapters and put it on break before the end of the year
