Moon and sun return chapter 7 – truths and next stages and secrets

This chapter will cover episodes 3-4 of season 2

And have the trio learn the truth about their so-called friends

Then head on the next phase of their journey while one gets strange visions and learns dark secrets

Of course, my own content will be mixed in with a few twists

Rayla pov

It was after i saw the saddened Callum, I tried to reassure him but couldn't say the right thing. But he seemed to understand but needed to break it to his brother. It was then the voice in my head said, "give him time, but sadly time will give that witch more chances to get her hands on his heart and you don't want to see that again." with that I wondered what the voice meant by again. but also knew I didn't have much time. It wasn't much longer that, I noticed
Claudia a wanted her to take back what she said but knew it wouldn't solve anything.

Callum pov

It wasn't much longer, I tried to tell my brother but much like Rayla couldn't tell him and hope it wouldn't kick me back. I just ended up falling to sleep without saying anything. Then the next morning, my brother told me about his strange dreams as I tried to tell him about our father. I then tried to tell him during a walk, but the conversation ended up shifting to teaching the dragon prince Zym. Then ended up just hugging my brother.

After that, I went to Rayla and told her I also couldn't tell my brother about the death of his, no, our father. Then after talking to Rayla, we ended up in a hugging. But during that hug, I began to feel something coming from the castle, something dark. But the hug itself felt very different than the similar hug I got from Claudia, and it wasn't the difference in between chest sizes of the two girls, it was how I felt hugging the elf girl over Claudia. It felt like we knew each other. After we broke the hug, Rayla told me, we needed to leave soon. but as we planned to leave, we ran into Claudia and Soren and the sister dragged me off for a private talk. And during that talk, she left my one last letter from my stepfather, a letter that I wasn't ready to open. But she and her brother were willing to come along to help.

Rayla pov

It was the need to prove if Claudia and Soren were trying to help us or not, that led me to getting Lujanne's help. We used her magic to prove the brother and sister as soon we left the place, the two attacked our illusionary copies and once they captured our copies Ellis undid the spell and revealed my ruse. Then the moon phoenix with the brothers and baby dragon collected me. only for Claudia to make her move with magic to try and get us back. But to our good luck, the hunter I met gave us the chance to escape. Then I told the older brother how he was wrong about the Claudia, but I wasn't happy he was wrong.

It was while we flew, I noticed Callum in the same meditative pose the moon mage took and on asking he said, "I am meditating on the wind arcana."

Callum pov

it was while we flew on the back on the giant bird, I closed my eyes and tried to meditate and there I saw a woman with white hair and a white robe with nearly pale white skin. She then said my name is s_ but I could only here a 's' at the start, and she said "I have been the one with you since before you were born. You have passed the first test but many more will come to you. That food I taught you to make will help you carry on your journey. You heard a single part of my name means you are growing. But soon, " it was then our talk was interrupted by the bird falling and managing to land us on a cliff with my brother saying she was too tired to carry us further. The elf girl then told us the way to Xadia would involve crossing the ocean and we didn't have the time to go around it.

so, the next part of our journey would involve finding a captain to take us and that required Rayla to pretend to be human. It was during that time, I felt darkness from the castle and wondered what Viren was trying to do. It wasn't much longer, that I found a captain to take us across the sea and revealed he was blind but was willing to take any number of people as long as I cooked food for him. we then had the man try and get us across as fast as he could.

It was during our trip across the man taught me about sailing and the wind and during that time I found out he also had Narcolepsy and was happy his talking bird would wake him up when needed. It wasn't long after that, a storm began to form, and I hoped I could use it to further learn the secrets of the wind.

As the storm got worst, Rayla changed colors and the captain took us to an island to wait it out the storm and during that wait, I wanted to see if this storm could teach me to the sky arcana. So, I decided to go out into the storm and meditate, I could tell the dragon prince wanted to experience the storm, so he came with me. the dragon played while I tried to understand the storm, but just ended up wet and cold. But after looking up, I knew I needed to go higher up. At the same time, I wondered what Viren may be plotting.

I wanted to grab a lightning rod but then decided I shouldn't try to gain magic that way. Then the voice of the woman said, "you just passed your next test." I then felt like my aunt was fighting for her life. It was after that, a bolt hit Zym, and I thought he could be dead but on getting back to the ship he woke up and I figured the test was about not giving up lives for magic. I also wondered how my aunt could be doing and why Claudia's father wanted us back in the kingdom. I just had so many questions about the true nature of these tests I was being put through and what I would gain by completing them.

Chapter end

The next chapter will have the trio keep on their journey while Viren tries to gain the help of the other nations, and Callum learns what the last letter his stepfather left for him said.

But first izuku and Emilia and the other heroes will enter the base and see what the powers of Overhaul and his men are.
