Chapter 8: Hot Spring Fun For Sabertooth! Dark Mages Have Hot Ideas, Too!
Lucy arrived at the Sabertooth guild with Risa while both girls had happy smiles on their faces, feeling glad that they could handle a new job together as the guild's newest team of rookies, and Lucy would be happy to keep showing her new friend how to be a better mage. Lucy went directly to the request board with Risa walking by her side while feeling glad that her pink-haired friend recently completed the job of getting coffees for a pop idol, and she started to look confident at how she could assist Risa with choosing a task that had a higher level of difficulty.
Lucy would be sure to not pick out a task that was anywhere near the level of being an S-Class mission, since she didn't want herself or Risa to end up dying, and the green-haired girl began to look at the flyers on the board. Risa watched Lucy look at a green flyer, only to not find that job to be appealing, and that particular task would've required the girls to work at a cafe in a distant town. Risa went up to that flyer while her eyes widened in amazement from Lucy not choosing it, and she felt quite shocked at how Lucy passed up a job that would've given 100,000 jewels to the team.
Risa got to see Lucy also refuse to handle a job that was on a light blue flyer, since they would only be taking care of a task that involved them guarding artifacts in a small museum, and she felt surprised as to why Lucy didn't take a job that would've given the team seventy-thousand jewels. Risa observed how Lucy looked at the job description on another light blue flyer, which had the reward of 100,000 jewels, but seeing Lucy unpin that flyer from the board made the fashion-loving mage seem curious about what they would be doing.
Lucy smiled happily, before showing Risa that they would handle a little job where the task involved taking down the leader of a dark guild called Vermilion Sunset. The guild wasn't stated by the client to have been harming its citizens daily or charging smaller guilds any money for them to not be shut down, but Vermilion Sunset was simply a dark guild that couldn't become legal in the eyes of the Magic Council because of the fact that the leader of the guild was a dangerous criminal who caused trouble for other mages throughout the year of X785. Apparently, the leader of Vermilion Sunset enjoyed how they sometimes helped their subordinates get away with handling jobs for other teams. Lucy may have been happy to pick out this job, but Risa started to smile nicely as her cherry red eyes glanced at the job's special condition.
"You may not want to get too ahead of yourself, Lucy, unless you're seriously planning to disrupt Bell Tower Day in Kuchiba Town and look like a total jerk." Risa told her in a snarky manner while smiling, as she recalled shopping on the day before that holiday last year and hearing how the fashion store would be closed.
"Risa, what's Bell Tower Day?" Lucy asked her while comically seeming a bit irked by Risa's snarky attitude.
Risa explained to Lucy in a kind manner, "It's supposedly a special holiday where the locals go to the Bell Tower of the town, but there's not much else I can say about it. Apparently, locals can't reveal too much to tourists and people from other towns can't enter Kuchiba today."
Lucy responded to Risa while softly smiling, as she wasn't too disappointed, "Well, we can handle the job later in the week. Risa, it will be good for a rookie such as yourself to take jobs that require us to fight people."
As Lucy handed the flyer to Risa for her to put it in the left pocket of her dark red skirt, she smiled a bit at how her friend wore a striped shirt that was entirely in different shades of pink. Risa also wore some red flat shoes that had pink hearts on them, and Lucy watched Risa adjust her red sunglasses for them to stay on her forehead. Lucy liked that her friend was continuing to be quite fashionable, but she also wanted Risa to be a better wizard who could seriously fight criminals. If they decided to work at a cafe, then Lucy couldn't do most of the work if thieves tried to steal from the restaurant.
Despite how Lucy didn't pick out an easy task for Risa, she truly believed that taking this job would help them both become stronger. Lucy glanced down at the Crimson Ring that was on her finger, thinking about how Risa spent the one hour of the evening at her new room in the house while she talked to Lucy in a psyched up manner about how her fight against Akai would probably fill an entire section in Sorcerer Magazine or at least be on the front cover, and Lucy would be glad to train with Fire Magic later. She could probably get a book of spells on it from the Sabertooth guild's library, and Lucy hoped that her flames could burn the enemies on the upcoming jobs.
She started walking towards the staircase, only to be stopped by the sudden sight of Sting running out of the office with Yukino and Lector, and Sting stopped right in front of Lucy. He confidently smiled at her while hoping that Lucy would also be having a good morning, but Sting felt like she could use a warm break after dealing with a harsh battle yesterday. Sting was actually going to check out a new hot spring that recently opened in a nearby town that was north of Kogane, since Rogue was already there to wait on him for reserving a session for some people from Sabertooth.
"Lucy, do you and Risa want to join us for some fun in a hot spring?" Sting asked her while still smiling, before blushing a bit.
Lucy responded with a stern facial expression, as she got closer to Sting, "If I join you and Yukino, Sting, then don't even think of peeking at me."
Risa spoke for Sting while smiling at the idea of the team enjoying some hot springs, "The boys wouldn't be able to peek at us, if there's so much steam around. Lucy, you know water could douse your new flames to create steam."
Risa's snarky answer made Sting simply smile, since she was making a good amount of sense, and Lector folded his arms while smiling quite confidently at the possibility of the team having a good amount of fun. Since Lucy's new job with Risa had to be completed at a later time, she felt like there would be nothing wrong with the team having a bit of fun in the hot springs. Lucy was only worried about someone peeping at her while she wouldn't be wearing any clothes in a hot spring, since she recalled how Natsu and Gray once joined some of the other male Fairy Tail mages in an attempt to peep at the girls.
Even though Lucy was stern about that with Sting, the fact that he and Lector impatiently ran out of the Sabertooth guild to go check out the hot springs really showed her that the white dragon slayer was more interested in hot water than the hotness of any girls right now. As Risa started to walk out of the guild while Yukino looked concerned for Lucy, certain thoughts entered Lucy's mind. Her eyes started to show some sadness as she slowly walked out of the Sabertooth guild with Yukino beside her, and Lucy wondered what Kotomi Takeuchi was doing right now. Lucy felt her body tremble with a bit of anxiety from wondering if Kotomi was successfully committing several crimes without the other members of Team Natsu being aware that they had a criminal in their team. Lucy went out of the guild with Yukino while sighing sadly at how anything horrible that was done by Kotomi would just make that impostor feel happiness.
Meanwhile, in Lucy's apartment...
Kotomi stepped out of the shower with a pink towel around her body, feeling quite warm from bathing in the hot water of Lucy's shower, and she didn't mind how the Celestial Spirit Wizard had a scent of shampoo that was a mix of strawberries with vanilla. The scent that made Kotomi smell like Lucy Heartfilia only made her smirk in a pleased manner, since she bought another bottle of it with the leftover reward money that she still had from putting the Emerald Star back in the museum for Team Natsu to complete that job, and money was no issue for her at all.

Earning money, as well as finding a bag of jewels that Lucy stashed under her brown desk, allowed Kotomi to also pay Lucy's monthly rent of seventy-thousand jewels. The wind-wielding thief who stole Lucy's identity was glad that she could sufficiently imitate Lucy when she needed to be calm or irritated, since that night where the real Lucy tried to contact Team Natsu was where Kotomi got a good practice session with seeing how Lucy's friends reacted to certain actions of the girl who they truly believed to be Lucy Heartfilia.
When Natsu had been eating desserts too fast at the bakery after Gray ended the call, Kotomi did the right thing by sternly telling Natsu to slow down while also informing the fire dragon slayer that he needed to chew food with his mouth closed. In fact, the night where Gray hung up that crucial call was the same night where Kotomi merely used him as a guide to Lucy's apartment while she was glad that Lucy kept the apartment key in one pocket of her dark green jeans. That nightly walk was nice, since it led Kotomi to go out of the apartment several hours later in the night, and using her Wind Magic to speed through Magnolia allowed her to eventually find the Fairy Tail guild. Taking one job that was nearly S-Class from the board allowed Kotomi to get a late-night reward of 200,000 jewels while using the spell called Kaze's Feather Dance allowed her to confound a drowsy Mirajane Strauss with high speed that made Kotomi move incredibly fast to where Lucy's Heartfilia's seemingly bizarre teleportation skills made Mira perceive herself to still be dreaming as she groggily stamped the flyer for Kotomi to officially handle the task without any suspicions later. One reward from that job was a Communications Lacrima Crystal that Kotomi put next to Lucy's unfinished novel on the brown desk, and the sudden sound of the orb making a peaceful sound to signal that it was ringing made the dark mage quite have delight in her eyes as she evilly smirked from calling her friends in the Moon Rainbow guild. Kotomi walked towards the blue orb while letting drips of hot water fall to the carpet, her towel starting to descend down her body, and she gently tapped the orb with her right fist.
Kotomi got to see the face of a slightly older woman with long light brown hair and blue eyes appear in the center of the orb, before the woman asked her with a surprised facial expression, "Hello? Kotomi Takeuchi, is it really you with that new blonde hair and those new curves? Why do you look so different?"
The sadistic girl explained while calmly smiling, letting out a slight giggle, "Yes, Mistress Kirika. It's me, Kotomi. I decided to use the body-switching spell on a mage from the Fairy Tail guild, and she tried to get help from some lame wizards in a different guild. I'll eventually destroy her friends in Fairy Tail, and I'll get enough treasure to make myself have a wealthy lifestyle while that weakling will just keep on suffering for the rest of her life."
Kirika responded to her with a stern facial expression, recalling a certain job that was stamped in Moon Rainbow, "Just make sure that you complete that task of stealing the Emerald Star to deliver it to a client, and don't end up getting caught by any mages."
Kotomi told her guild master while the feeling of assurance entered her cocoa brown eyes, "Don't worry, my mistress. I can steal the Emerald Star again, and that weakling named Lucy Heartfilia has no magic that can stop me from making her look like a good mage who decided to enjoy being evil for some months or years."
Upon hearing how Kotomi seemed like her strategic skills were great enough to where she even kept her enemy from retaining her magic, Kirika merely smirked evilly at how the dark mage was showing herself to be quite impressive. Kirika had heard a small rumor about winds blowing wildly in a town near Moon Rainbow last night while the client was pleased that a certain girl retrieved a treasured item from some bandits, and hearing that the bandits were killed made Kirika keep smirking at Kotomi. Kirika explained to her in a somewhat shy manner, blushing at her own intentions, "I'm just going... out for a run in the Gudai Desert. Anyway, I'll chat with you again later!"
As Kotomi gently touched the blue orb to end the call, she started to smile in a confident manner at how it would probably be easy to get the Emerald Star out of Tokiwa Town's museum again. Kotomi felt like there would be nothing to worry about, since she had been in that building before, and she wouldn't pass up the opportunity to finally deliver that glittery emerald stone to the client. Even though ten Celestial Spirits were now under her command, Kotomi started to wonder if some other spells of Celestial Spirit Magic would be very useful. She recalled how there was a library in Magnolia Town that had a section on magic, and the antagonist had only read up on Celestial Spirit Magic for an hour in the library yesterday. Kotomi got to be informed about how some Celestial Spirits could make themselves be summoned from the Celestial Spirit World, so she could probably use that to her advantage later. After all, there was nothing wrong with seeing if any useful books on that type of magic could come from the Celestial Spirit World.

Kirika had gone all the way to the entrance of the Gudai Desert, which was far from the Gudai Beach that resided at the end of the desert, and Kirika smiled confidently as she seemed to finish walking back to the desert's entrance. The Gudai Desert wasn't normally crossed by people, due to all of the powerful sandstorms that occurred there, and the heat was immense. Elsewhere, at the hot springs...
Lucy and her friends made it to Azuria Town, a small town with a little population of at least twenty people, and the protagonists were currently in a white dome-shaped building that had a circular blue roof. This place was the newly-made hot spring resort, having plain blue walls with a plain blue tiled floor to match, and Rogue handed seven-thousand jewels to the old female receptionist who stood behind a brown desk. She accepted the money while giggling happily at how the hot spring resort made another profit, and the group of mages could now enjoy the hot springs. Upon seeing a doorway with a blue curtain in front of it on the left side of the reception desk, Rogue and Sting went that way with Frosch and Lector happily being on their shoulders.
Lucy, Risa, and Yukino noticed that a doorway with a red curtain in front of it was on the right side of the reception desk, so they headed through that doorway. Lucy and her friends got to see that there was a room on the right side of the hallway, but it didn't lead to the hot springs. Instead, the room that featured brown wooden benches with some pink towels gently resting on the nearby wardrobes where people could store their clothes. The three women entered the room, before taking off their clothes, and Lucy found herself blushing pink with some timidness from how this was officially her first time getting naked around her friends in the Sabertooth guild.
She was quick with taking off her red T-shirt and pink jeans, though, and Lucy also got her feet out of some flat shoes that were dark pink with black horizontal stripes on them. Lucy also removed her bubblegum pink bra and her light pink panties, before putting all of her clothes on to the upper shelf of the wardrobe that was closest to the door of the changing room, and Lucy hastily grabbed a pink towel. Upon getting through that doorway, Lucy's eyes were filled with a delighted feeling from seeing the circular hot spring that was filled with light blue water. White clouds of steam rose up from the water, and Lucy walked on the grey stone floor that led to the hot spring. She accidentally kicked a round brown bucket of some bottles that contained body wash and washcloths into the water while loosening her towel for it to lightly fall on to the stone ground, and Lucy went into the hot spring. As Lucy noticed a brown bamboo wall and some grey stones surrounding the hot spring, she was quickly feeling the high temperature of the hot water. Lucy swam over to the part of the hot spring that was near the wall, before submerging most of her body down into the water, but she still comically felt like screaming from how the water was nearly scalding hot.
"This water is so hot! It's incredibly hot, and someone must've mixed volcanic lava into this water for it to be similar to a sauna!" Lucy exclaimed with an astounded facial expression, before trying to shift her attention to the floating basket.
Risa replied with an excited facial expression, as she ran through the doorway with Yukino and let her towel fall, "Wow, that water looks awesome!"
Yukino added while smiling kindly, as she looked at Lucy, "The water in a hot spring is supposed to be quite hot, Lucy-sama. Some mages who use Water Magic can make it be quite hot, which helps the hot springs attract tourists."
Risa told her friends while she began to smile happily, sinking down into the hot water, "Wow, this feels so great for my skin! The warm water is so relaxing."
As Risa relaxed in the water while Yukino removed her towel to not get it wet, Lucy's lips began to form a nice smile. The hot water began to cease with feeling scalding hot like water that just heated up in a tea kettle, and it instead felt soothing to her body. Lucy gently raised her arms above her head while letting out a happy sigh, loving how the hot steam and water were kissing her skin for her to feel quite peaceful in the hot spring, and this warm bath was very nice. Lucy smiled nicely as the basket of washcloths floated near her, and she took a pink washcloth out of the basket. Lucy also took out a pink bottle of body wash, and she opened it to pour some on the washcloth. Its scent was strawberry, and the nice aroma made Lucy giggle as she began to wash herself.

Since Yukino allowed Risa to wash her back, the pink-haired female put more body wash on to the washcloth. Risa continued to hold both items in her hands as she slowly went over to her friend, and she placed the washcloth against Yukino's back. Risa started to scrub her back up and down in a slow manner, before accidentally making a pink aura surround her hand, and she started to scrub somewhat faster. Risa briefly dipped the washcloth into some water while Yukino slowly stood up to get a washcloth for washing the front side of her body, but seeing Yukino's ass now be directly in front of her caused Risa to giggle as she started to slowly scrub that part of her friend's body in circles.

Lucy hastily turned away from Sting again, blushing from the fact that the white dragon slayer had a muscular chest and eight-pack abs, but Yukino joined Risa in softly giggling at the situation. Risa watched Lucy start to twiddle her thumbs as she kept looking flustered, which made Risa playfully smile from thinking that Lucy was starting to have a small crush on Sting. As Risa took out a pink washcloth from the nearby brown basket to wipe off the steam that fogged up her sunglasses, she also smiled from how the bamboo wall wouldn't stay up after Lucy tried to put it back in place.
Sting took a few steps forward to try and help Lucy put that section of the wall back up, only for her to close her eyes while blushing and motioning with one hand for him to stop, and Lucy just didn't want to see her blond-haired friend be naked right now. Lucy also used the piece of the wall to temporarily shield her body from Sting's view, but he was still blushing from seeing her bare body. Sting thought about how Lucy had a thin waist, average-sized hips, and her ass looked slightly bigger than Yukino's. He wanted to chastise the townspeople who made these hot springs, since they didn't take their time with making the walls be entirely strong, and Sting turned around to simply let his back rest against the wall. Lucy let her back and her ass rest against the wall, making her blush slowly fade from her face as she started to just think about how Sting solved a little issue that she caused, and Lucy folded her arms while being less flustered to where she could be somewhat calm.
"Sting... Thank you. Also, I think you have some nice muscles." Lucy told Sting in a grateful manner, as she also wanted to give him a kind compliment.
Sting responded with a confident smile on his face, chuckling slightly, "You're welcome, Lucy. I'm glad that you noticed the awesome physique of Fiore's best dragon slayer. Oh, and you're very sexy. Next time, I'll see if mixed bathing is an option for some hot springs."
Lucy exclaimed while her eyes widened in shock, her cheeks blushing pink with warmth at that thought, "Sting, you won't be the one who washes my back or scrubs my body!"
Sting countered that statement as he smiled in a confident manner, before teasing her and chuckling again, "You didn't say anything about you washing my back, though, Lucy. Maybe you thought about touching my body in these steamy hot springs, and that little thought led to your big move of breaking down the wall between us."
As the white dragon slayer and the other three Sabertooth mages chuckled at Sting's playful remark, Lucy looked at Yukino and Risa with a look of denial as she blushed again from how she perceived that situation as a complete accident. Since Lucy felt that she was done with bathing, she simply walked towards her pink towel that was on the stone ground. Lucy didn't waste any time with picking it up and heading back to the changing room, but she turned around to just smile softly at the bamboo wall. Despite that little mishap that led to Lucy and Sting seeing each other naked, Lucy actually enjoyed bathing in the hot spring today. This little activity was quite nice, and being in the hot spring's extremely hot water made Lucy feel more fired up to try learning Fire Magic later. Lucy smiled at Risa and Yukino before going back to the changing room, and Risa simply smiled in a happy manner from how she enjoyed seeing some good chemistry being formed between Lucy and Sting.
How was Chapter 8? Feel free to tell me your thoughts on it. Lucy and Sting will eventually become a couple, but I decided to just make them have some funny and nice StiCy moments in this first aftermath chapter. Speaking of Lucy, Kirika only got vague info pertaining to her and she won't know about the actual Lucy Heartfilia having magic until a later point. As for Kotomi, she and Team Natsu will get more spotlight in the upcoming second aftermath chapter. Also, the lemony moments that intertwine with other plot elements are just mini-lemons. They aren't major lemon scenes. I'll update soon. :)
