Chapter 24: The Magenta Magic Revived! Risa's Emotions Explode With Psychic and Shadowy Power! Lucy's Fifth Spell Finally Appears!

Lucy's POV

Sting stood beside me on the pink tiles of these ruins, as we both fiercely looked at the two women who were our enemies, and we were going to get a little bit of payback for our friends. Risa made everyone else happy by coming to a town that she didn't initially want to visit, since she at least proved that she was no coward, but hearing that woman with the twisting spells claim how Risa was as pathetic as someone else to where Risa being weak caused that particular person to die only made me clench my fists tightly. I wasn't going to let someone say something so guilt-inducing and hurtful towards one of my friends, and I also wouldn't let either of these girls hurt my friend anymore.

I hastily ran towards the woman who had shot out that twisting spell while Sting ran beside me, avoiding the pink flames that were on the ground, and I wasted no time with unleashing the spell known as Lightning Voltage. As I shot out another yellow orb from my hand, Sting jumped high into the air to unleash the White Dragon's Roar attack from his mouth. Sting's attack surprisingly landed right in front of the girl who had rosewood eyes, its light blinding her for these precious seconds, and I smiled confidently from my spell ended up hitting her in the chest. She screamed while the yellow blast of electric energy occurred, and I leaped back to activate my second spell that was known as Thunderbolt Arrow.

As I maintained my confidence, I stretched out my left hand to see a yellow bow and arrow appear in the palm of that hand. I decided to fire the arrow straight at my electrified opponent while the blast faded away, only to suddenly see her partner's fuchsia pink eyes glow light pink as she moved her right hand to redirect my arrow towards some flames. My arrow created a yellow blast in an average size, since there was no electrified power to strengthen it, and I groaned in frustration from seeing how that would be an annoying issue to deal with.

Sting hastily ran toward the woman whose eyes changed back to being fuchsia pink eyes, and I leaped back while waiting for the smoke around my opponent to go away. I kept stepping back to get some distance from her, and Sting took the opposite approach with fighting his opponent. I caught a glimpse of Sting creating a white orb in his right hand, before crushing it to make that light engulf his fist, and he struck his opponent in the stomach with that new move. It created a white explosion of light that immediately went down to being half of its size, causing Sting and I to both gasp in shock, and I turned my head to see the other woman smirking rudely with her eyes becoming hot pink as a hot pink aura engulfed both of her hands. She pressed them against the air for me to see a hot pink glass-like square of psychic energy in front of her, and I glanced over at Sting's opponent to see the explosion quickly fade away for that glass wall to also be in front of her. How would these psychic shields interfere with our chances of winning?

"How do you like Wondrous Psychic Screen? Will you be as pathetic as Risa to try fighting us with your attacks having reduced damage, idiot?" The woman wearing the white headband asked me while starting to have a cheerful smile on her face, before laughing at me in a ridiculing manner.

I responded to her with a fierce look on my face, as I only caught a glimpse of three arrows appearing on top of the bow, "It doesn't matter if you put up shields, since we'll smash through them!"

"Yes, you would use your arrows to hope that my shield would break. Then, you would try to hit me with more of your arrows in an attempt to make this electricity around me explode with more energy." She responded to me with a disturbingly cheerful smile, before pulling down her left eyelid with her middle finger while she stuck her tongue out at me.

Her partner added with a vicious smirk on her face, before widening her eyes, "We almost forgot to introduce ourselves to you losers, since Risa didn't have enough respect for royals to tell you that we're two of the best psychic mages in Parmanie! You're fighting Miru Itsuki, you electric idiot, and I'm Shizue Momoiro! If you even think that you can beat both of us, I'll gladly kick your ass and warp that thought right out of your mind."

Even though these girls thought that they could defeat me and Sting in a tag-team battle, I'd be more than happy to prove them wrong. I fired my three arrows at Miru, only to see that hot pink screen of light suddenly appear after disappearing in midair like it could look transparent, and my three arrows only created blasts in a miniature size! That made me groan in frustration while seeing Miru fire a light pink sphere of energy from her left hand. the spell having two crescent-shaped blades swirling around it, and she used psychic energy to make it go quite high in the air while several pink beams came down from it. I began to smile at how those beams would be easy to dodge, but my legs suddenly couldn't move after a beam landed a few feet away from me! I watched a pink aura suddenly surround my body, and I was pulled up towards the sphere.

Upon seeing some beams come towards me, I immediately used the third spell of Lightning Magic that was known as Electro Shield. Yellow beams of electric energy emanated from my left hand, and raising my hand upward caused a tall and wide shield of yellow electricity to rise up high from the ground. The shield was bordered by two gold pillars while having a yellow emblem shaped like a lightning bolt in the middle, but I had unfortunately aimed it down at the ground during my shock of being levitated into the air. The shield was struck by three of Miru's beams, before other beams hit those attacks to shockingly strengthen them, and my shield ended up bursting in a yellow blast after only reflecting one beam! That beam clashed with another beam that came down, creating an explosion that sent me higher towards the sphere, and I unfortunately saw a regular pink aura engulf Shizue's body.

Shizue's hands were soon holding six pink rings with small orbs orbiting them, and those rings were thrown up at the sphere for them to spin in midair. I watched the rings touch the beams to shockingly absorb their power, even getting strength from beams going through the rings to get absorbed by them, and one of those spinning rings made a little cut on my arm. I winced in pain from that cut while seeing the rings go back down to Shizue, but taking my mind off of my current predicament for a moment was a bad decision. I soon felt my body touch the sphere, resulting in me getting caught in a light pink blast that felt very painful, and some light pink beams even exploded when they grazed my body.

I quickly fell down quite hard to the tiled ground, and I slowly stood up to see Sting taking some steps back while Shizue made those six rings float in a straight line front of her. She started to place her right hand behind her left hand, before moving her right hand in a counterclockwise manner with her other hand moving clockwise, and her rings soon became a light pink vortex that was quite massive to where I gasped in shock from seeing its jagged edges as the vortex violently spun. The light pink vortex of energy pulled Sting towards it, as well as pulling me towards it while a light pink aura surrounded our bodies, and Sting activated the spell called White Dragon's Holy Breath. He fired a massive amount of white light from his mouth, only to see his attack slightly slow down the blast instead of eliminating it while it was also weakened by the spell called Wondrous Psychic Screen that appeared in front of Shizue, and I tried to help Sting out with the Thunderbolt Arrow spell. My arrow of electricity hit the vortex, only to create a miniature explosion, and Sting looked just as frustrated as me as we closed her eyes. Despite slowing down that spell, it created a massive light pink that was quite large. It sent Sting and I high into the air, before we crashed into the tiled ground, and we landed near some flames. As we stood up and stayed close to each other, Shizue walked over to Miru. She simply smirked arrogantly at the situation, before giggling in a taunting manner.

"Is that all you've got, boy? You couldn't handle the spell called Mind's Ringed Vortex of Future Sight? That other dragon slayer was just as pitiful as you!" Shizue asked Sting in a taunting manner, before speaking arrogantly and continuing to giggle.

Miru added in a provoking manner, smiling as I could tell that she was trying to mimic my surprised face, "Wow, your electric spells aren't working against us! That must be quite a shocker for you, especially since the beams of Psychic Esper Pressure even destroyed your lame shield, but it's very easy to foresee that we can just keep making all your stupid electricity be meager zaps in comparison to our psychic power!"

I responded to Miru with a confident smile starting to appear on my lips, taking a bit of inspiration from a certain snarky friend, "Wow, you claim to be so tough and you couldn't even kill Risa before we showed up to fight you."

That prompted Miru to reply to me with a sadistic look in her narrowed eyes, as she pulled out what appeared to be a hot pink cigar from her skirt's left pocket, "Since you're so confident that you can keep us from arresting Risa for her crime, then I'll be happy to humor you and your very little chance of winning. In fact, you two will lose here before I finish smoking my cigar."

Miru proceeded to lightly put one end of her cigar up against a nearby pink flame, effectively lighting her cigar, and the moment where she put in her mouth was the moment where Sting ran towards Shizue. He gathered white light int his hands while putting them together to form the shape of a white drill, and Sting combined that light with his White Dragon's Holy Ray attack. He made a circle with his hands, before lightly pressing the circle against his drill of light, and Sting made several curved drilling beams of white light go into the air.

I saw him gather more light into his fists before attempting to hit Shizue with several punches, but the sight of drills coming down made Shizue laugh rudely as she tilted her head back and had her hands on the ground with her back arched like she was trying to limbo dance. Shizue's eyes began to glow with their fuchsia color becoming brighter, and she ended up getting harshly punched in the stomach by Sting. She slid about three feet backwards while the pink screen of light appeared again to show that Sting's attack did very little damage, and Shizue merely aimed her eyes up at the drilling beams. They quickly came down to hit her with white blasts of light that had their damage reduced, and Sting could see a fuchsia pink aura brightly surrounding her hands as the light went away. Shizue fired a fuchsia pink beam of energy high into the air, and it quickly came down upon Sting in the form of aurora lights that were in varying shades of pink. The bright lights blinded both of us, and even opening one eye to see Sting be in a pink sphere of the aurora lights was quite painful. The light faded away for me to see Sting be stuck in the large sphere with somewhat smaller fuchsia pink spheres being around him, and their psychic properties seemed to be making gravity intensely push down on Sting while also twisting his body in many directions. As Sting screamed in immense pain and even seemed as horrified as me, I began to see how all the white light in his hands was twisting in different directions to where it got easily torn apart by the fuchsia spheres of gravity distorting the space within the pink sphere.

"How do you like Fuchsia Psychotic Aurora Crush?" Shizue asked him with a grin of sadism on her face, before laughing evilly at Sting's screams of immense pain.

I shouted to Shizue and Mieu with a fierce look on my face, as I wouldn't let either of them kill Sting, "If you're quite smart with that Psychic Magic, then let's see if you have the physical strength to back it up! Fourth spell of Lightning Magic, I call upon thee! Sacred Discharge!"

A thin yellow beam of lightning went up to one of the clouds to charge it up with yellow electricity, and a larger yellow beam of lightning came down on me after a few seconds. The lightning didn't harm me, but a yellow aura began to engulf my body. I felt myself have much more strength, and I hastily ran towards Miru. My high speed allowed me to evade the psychic sphere that Shizue aimed at me with her right hand, and I fired the Lightning Voltage spell at Miru. Despite how the Wondrous Psychic Screen spell appeared in front of me, I threw that orb with my left hand to hit Miru's shield. After that, I began to aggressively punch her shield five times. Each attack reduced my speed, but I ended my assault on the shield with an electrified kick that made a little crack in the shield. Five average-sized blasts occurred to where they expanded the crack until the shield broke, along with their aftereffect of electrocuting anything near the blast starting to occur, and Miru's body was having more electricity flowing around it. Since her shield broke, I smiled at how the sixth blast was larger than the others to where it could properly damage her. Miru screamed in pain from being electrocuted by the blast, which had its power grow stronger from how she was electrified earlier by the Lightning Voltage spell, and all of the electric blasts even made some electric currents flow down on the ground for a few seconds while they seemed to go towards some broken pillars.

Despite how I smiled confidently from the tide of this battle suddenly turning, I heard Sting scream in immense pain while his scream was accompanied by a massive pink explosion. Sting and I were sent flying high into the air, before falling down to the ground, and I could see Miru running through the pink smoke to directly hit me with her hot pink sphere from before. It created a large blast that was hot pink while the sphere's effect started to break my limbs, and I screamed in excruciating pain. As I could see that Miru wasn't as bruised as bloodied as me while Shizue hardly seemed injured, I turned to Sting and gasped in shock. He was on the ground with two broken arms and two broken legs while he was somewhat bruised and bleeding, and I tried my best to remain standing. I panted heavily with some blood dripping from some bruises on my arms, and I could see Miru start to sternly frown at me to show that she'd no longer restrain her psychic powers. In fact, she and Shizue would probably want to kill us before Miru's cigar was even halfway gone. As I saw Shizue apply Psychic Magic to her feet and quickly go over to Miru, I silently hoped that Risa was safe.

Meanwhile, in the forest near the park... (Risa's POV)

As Rogue felt that we were far enough away to where he could let me walk instead of continuing to carry me over his shoulder, I looked very worried from hearing those loud blasts. I turned around to see a hot pink blast fade away, which had occurred after seeing a light pink blast that seemed to be even more massive, and I had such a bad feeling about this fight while I could hear my friends' screams. Even though Lucy and Sting were strong, I felt very worried about their chances of winning. My eyes were filled with immense concern from having a very bad feeling like someone important was going to be lost, and Sting ordering Rogue to get me away from the fight didn't help me feel better.

I turned around to keep walking, until the sound of a spell exploding made me turn around to see pink beams falling down from a spell in the sky to where they created pink blasts, and seeing a pink blast occur in midair with Lucy's scream accompanying it only made tears well up in my eyes. I began to think back to when a powerful pink blast caused Master Sara to die while protecting me, seeing the rain fall heavily as she was bleeding, and lightly touching my sunglasses in that moment made me shut my eyes tightly. I could see her smiling at me while I recalled how I was crying, and I had lost someone who was so important.

Upon hearing my friend fall to the ground to where the thud that probably sounded light in actuality sounded as loud as Master Sara's arm hitting the ground near me, my heart palpitated with worry as I turned around to keep following Rogue. This was just like when I lost Master Sara, being far too weak to do anything that could help, and I couldn't even greatly use Psychic Magic at the time to heal her damaged body. The fact that she died was my fault, since she died protecting me, and even recalling how she uttered three sweet words to me as she died only made me clench my fists as I widened my eyes that were filled with immense guilt and immense sadness from possibly having to hear Sting and Lucy say those final words.

As I turned to see Rogue go behind a large green bush where we could hide, I cried more from envisioning Master Sara smiling at me and giving me one last wink of coolness as she died. That wink was similar to how Master Sting smiled and winked at me when I first joined Sabertooth, and I even thought about how Lucy nicely smiled at me when I had to deliver butterflies to a client. I turned around to hide my crying eyes from Rogue, feeling very sad about how Lucy and Sting were probably going to end up just like the woman who I once called my mother, and I couldn't live with myself if that happened again. It's bad enough that Master Sara died while Kirie also tragically died on the last mission, but now I'd lose more people who I cared about? Miru and Shizue would probably kill Rogue and Yukino afterwards, too, and the thought of my friends dying was just too much for me to stay here with tears in my eyes. I ran off, only to be halted by Rogue.

"Risa, where are you going?" He asked me with curiosity in his voice, as he came out from behind the bush to be a few feet behind me.

I replied to him with tears in my eyes while still having my back to him, sounding determined to not let him die, "I'm going... to defeat those girls."

"No, Risa. Even if you go there, you'll just be getting in the way and you'll end up dead. Risa, they've already torn through all your spells." Rogue told me in a stern manner, sounding concerned about my actions.

I exclaimed to Rogue while turning around with tears streaming down my face, looking very emotional and frustrated as my feelings came pouring out of me, "If I don't do anything, Rogue, then you'll die! Yukino and Frosch would also die! Lucy and Sting might die soon, too! Everyone would be gone, just like when Master Sara died while fighting against the royals to protect me! Since I couldn't do anything to protect Master Sara on that horrible day, it was all my fault that she gave me these sunglasses as she died right in front of my eyes! Since I couldn't protect Kirie Luster, she died while protecting me from that lightning! I can't take it anymore, Rogue! I can't handle losing someone important, just because I couldn't do anything to save them! I don't want to be useless in situations ever again! I feel like I need to save everyone who's precious to me, and I'm sure Master Sara would've felt the same way!"

As I could feel the emotion of determination enter my heart to where I also felt that I regained a bit of magical power, I created two pink orbs in my hands. Even if they wouldn't have much power on their own to make me be capable of using a very explosive spell, I would have to use them to my best ability. I proceeded to run away from Rogue's hiding spot as fast I possibly could, not wanting to see another kind person die right in front of me, and I was going to fight against Miru and Shizue. They may have been much stronger than me, but I wouldn't let their strength stop me from saving my friends.

Even if my legs lost their strength to move, that wouldn't stop me from finding a way to rescue my friends. I charged up the pink spheres with as much power as possible while panting heavily, using all of my remaining strength to run, and I wouldn't let my two attacks go to waste. Even if my level of magical power was weak right now, my desire to save my friends was quite strong. In fact, I could feel the intensity of my sadness and my guilt growing alongside my determination. All my emotions were growing inside of me, growing to such a high level to where I immensely believed that I could protect my friends, and thinking about how Master Sara always had such fierce determination caused me to feel my legs going even faster.

I was going to save everyone's lives, even if I had to exert myself beyond the natural limits of my magic, and nothing would stop me. As I could see the forest's entrance, Rogue came running beside me while building up a black aura of Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic in his left hand. I frowned at him while I refused to let him stop me, but I noticed something. Rogue's black hair began to obscure both of his eyes, and I got to see him hide a very faint and approving smile on his face. Rogue wasn't running beside me to stop me like I was a young child who need to be protected, but he smiled like he also fully believed that my strong feelings were increasing to where no one would get hurt anymore. I felt his left hand slightly touch the sphere, which made me worried that he'd make one of these crucial attacks explode in my hand, and I chose to ignore how his magic would affect my sphere. As Rogue suddenly stopped running, I only had one question for him and continued to run.

"Rogue, what did you do?" I asked him with a curious and serious facial expression, as I wouldn't stop for even one second.

He simply replied to me in a calm manner, "Risa, I'm letting my magic fuse with yours to amplify one of your attacks!"

He suddenly asked and added in a startled tone, seeing something surprising, "It was just a fusion, wasn't it? That new shade... The aura... Such strong feelings..."

Even if Rogue's magic created a strange shade of pink, I wouldn't let that spell be wasted. I started to have very fierce eyes while thinking about how things would be different from how I couldn't protect Master Sara, and envisioning her giving me a thumbs-up to show her utmost support made me feel like my legs could run even faster. My speed began to increase to where I was running somewhat faster, and I looked extremely determined to win while not letting my mind think about how the sphere that Rogue touched was now in a different shade of pink.

I continued to run fast with a determined facial expression, my heart beating fast while I couldn't even feel pain from the wounds that I received earlier in the fight, and none of my friends would end up dying in Parmanie Town. I would protect them from any of the royals attempting to kill them, and running away was not an option for protecting my friends from harm. Even if Sting would be upset with me for coming back, I couldn't afford to have another good person be torn away from me by tragedy. Even if I had to push myself to think about how Master Sara fought hard with her own Psychic Magic, I would save my friends. Master Sara gave up her own future in life to let me keep living life to where I could find happiness again, and I wouldn't be a weak girl who was forever overwhelmed by my own guilt and trauma over her death. Instead, I would be a strong mage who could use my Psychic Magic to help all of my friends be able to see many more days in a happier future instead of dying today.

My legs helped me run all the way back to Yukino and Frosch, who both widened their eyes in shock from seeing me back here, but I couldn't stop to chat with them. Yukino and Frosch were now getting to see me run on the pink tiled ruins, moving at fast speeds to where my eyes merely caught a glimpse of Sting and Lucy struggling to stand up while Sting tried to stand with his severely broken arms and legs. I would definitely get payback for Sting, and my eyes were filled with an even fiercer amount of determination than before. I soon got in front of Miru, who was just as surprised as Shizue to see me back here, and I aggressively slammed my right hand against my left hand before slamming my right hand against Miru's chest. I got to see how the sphere in my right hand immediately grew larger from absorbing the other sphere, but I widened my eyes in amazement from how this powerful sphere was in a magenta shade of pink. As thin magenta pink beams emerged from it, my willpower and desire to protect my friends made me fiercely yell as I put more energy into the attack. It soon exploded in a magenta pink blast that was quite massive while the shadow of the blast weirdly stretched backwards to be behind me, and I could hear Miru screaming in agonizing pain from the tremendous amount of psychic energy in the blast. Its power pushed me back while magenta clouds of smoke covered the battlefield, the blast's force making me land near Lucy and Sting, but I could faintly see six eerily familiar silhouettes rising up to firmly stand in front of us.

Five minutes later... (Narrator POV)

The magenta smoke cleared up to reveal that there were now six clones of Risa on the battlefield, some of them smiling confidently while the one at the front of the group had her arms folded with fierceness in her eyes, and this was something that no one could foresee. Risa looked just as shocked as Lucy and Sting to see her clones all standing there, but she started to wonder if Rogue had something to do with this happening. They were clones who came from the shadows, which definitely seemed like it could be associated with Rogue's magic, and the fact that Rogue's magic made Risa's spell be in a magenta color made her view this as an advanced spell.

Risa's determination to win was strengthened even more from this spell, causing the clones to sense her willpower, and she watched one of the clones run towards Shizue. Risa seemed puzzled as to why only one targeted Shizue while the others watched Miru remain standing with bloody wounds on her bruised body, and Risa watched three of the clones turn around with magenta auras surrounding their bodies. Those clones inhaled air, before surprisingly shooting out thin magenta beams from their mouths to hit the three Sabertooth mages, and they got to see Sting's twisted body go back to looking normal while Lucy and Risa could feel their wounds starting to completely be healed.

Despite how Sting and the others were healed, Sting watched Lucy still look tired from the fight. The Risa clone who sent her energy into Lucy's body smiled calmly from healing her, but it would probably take a bit of time for Lucy's magical power to be fully restored. She could feel it coming back slowly while her body was no longer in pain, and Lucy decided with a confident smile on he face that she would leave things to Risa for now. The clone who healed Risa even touched her hands to send most of her magical power into her body, making the real Risa have strength again, but she wouldn't let the actual Risa fight at this very moment. Instead, she made Risa see the magenta spell's aftereffect by pointing to the clone who was running towards Shizue.

Shizue activated a spell called Psychic Pulse, and she shot out a fuchsia pink sphere from her mouth. The sphere was somewhat larger than the sphere that Risa recently slammed against Miru, but Shizue proceeded to stretch out her arms. She made them repeatedly cross over each other at high speeds while a fuchsia aura briefly surrounded her body, and the aura soon went towards the ball. The aura transformed it into two large twisting fuchsia columns of psychic energy while the spell's psychic power attracted some flames to it in an effort to increase its destructive strength, but Risa's clone had a magenta aura surrounding her body while she built up some magical power. She mainly surprised Sting by unleashing a spell called Shadowy Psychic's Psychokinetic Magenta Scream, and Risa's clone unleashed a large burst of spiraling psychic energy in a magenta color from her mouth. This shade of pink was quite dark to where Sting and Shizue could both see thin beams faintly emerging from the shadow of the attack, and Shizue had a look of pure shock on her face from how Risa's attack smashed through Psychic Pulse to create a massive magenta blast that covered the somewhat smaller fuchsia blast. Risa's clone could be heard inhaling all the psychic energy, before firing that attack again, and Shizue was struck directly by that attack! She screamed in pain from feeling the power of that attack, and seeing Shizue get heavily bruised with her wounds being bloody made Sting start to look very impressed.

"Risa must've combined Rogue's magic with hers to now make her own magic be in that magenta color. Even a dragon slayer with two elements can't eat their own magic, though, and just eating Dragon Slayer Magic has dangerous side effects for normal people. However, that clone's magenta shade of Psychic Magic must be allowing her to consume Shizue's magic and her own like it's a typical thing." Sting thought to himself with a pleased look on his face.

Lucy said aloud with an amazed look on her face, having seen that color before, "That magenta color... We saw it before, and that's when Risa panicked against Kanata to activate that magic. Maybe her emotions are giving her the strength to call upon this magenta power again."

Risa exclaimed fiercely while running towards Miru, creating a two-layered magenta sphere in her hand, "We're not going to lose a single person! Psychotic Magenta Psi!"

Miru asked Risa with an irked facial expression, as her hands glowed light pink, "Just because one of your spells damaged me, do you really think you can back up those words?!"

Miru proceeded to fire a large sparkly pink sphere of psychic energy at Risa, only to see her swerve to the left at high speeds, and one of the clones quickly created the Psychotic Magenta Psi spell in their right hand. They slammed their attack against Miru's sphere that was known as Psychotic Dazzling Aura, causing another massive magenta explosion to occur while the blast in a normal shade of pink was just as large, and the aftereffect of Miru's spell made a pink aura engulf both of her hands. She touched the space in front of her to see a glass-like pink square wall of energy, and she smirked in an arrogant manner at how this shield was stronger than Wondrous Psychic Screen. However, that didn't stop the actual Risa from trying to strike Miru in her right side. The magenta-colored magic's massive explosion easily smashed through the wall of pink light, Miru looking horrified at the sound of it breaking like glass objects hitting a solid floor, and she was caught in the powerful magenta blast! Risa smiled with determination at how she wouldn't lose, and this spell enhanced the magenta aura around her body.

That magenta aura also surrounded Lucy and Sting, as well as surrounding Yukino, and Lucy felt her magical power coming back at a faster rate while also feeling her body be much stronger. Lucy was about to attack, only for Sting to firmly grab her wrist, and the intense look in his eyes told Lucy to watch Risa very carefully. She saw the magenta smoke clear up to reveal that Miru fired the Psychic Spatial Twist spell from her left hand, only for Risa to suddenly levitate that spell high up into the air with her right hand, and Lucy watched Risa use a spell called Magenta Shadow Sight. Risa glanced up at the spell, before glancing at Miru, and she lowered her right hand down to her side. That caused the spell to come down to the ground at high speeds, only for Miru to counter it by using the Psychic Spatial Twist spell again, and the two twisting spells collided to create a hot pink explosion in midair. The space around the explosion seemed to be twisting, as some of the pink tiles and pink flames were now twisting. However, that didn't stop the shadows of the explosions from quickly heading towards Miru's shadow. Risa quickly leaped back to see Miru get caught in several magenta blasts that caused her to scream in pain, the psychic energy levitating her in several different directions at rapid speeds, and she soon fell to the ground.

The fact that she got up again wouldn't stop Risa, though, and she used her fourth new spell of the magenta-colored Psychic Magic. The spell was called Magenta Psychic Ascent, and Risa aimed her right hand at Miru. She easily levitated her high into the air, before firing four jagged and crescent-shaped magenta blades down at the ground. Risa watched them all spin around in a circle at rapid speeds, before their psychic power attracted several light pink flames to them, and Risa watched the fire be absorbed by her psychic attack for it to grow stronger. Two of Risa's clones ran towards her to also throw flames at the spell, before using Magenta Psychic Ascent on their own, and the three rings started to levitate several feet above each other. Risa raised the attack high into the air with her right hand, and the jagged rings soon had a giant magenta vortex rising up from the first ring. When it passed through the second ring, the attack's speed doubled. Upon going through the third ring, its speed increased to three times as much while the spell's power doubled. Miru looked frustrated as she was struck by this attack, the explosive burst of magenta energy filling the sky with that color for a few moments, and the magenta aura surrounded Miru's body as she fell to the ground at high speeds to be like a meteor crashing into the ground.

"Whoa. That's a really cool attack, and Risa was smart to use these spells." Sting said aloud to himself with an impressed look on his face, watching the small magenta blast occur around Miru for a few seconds.

Lucy replied to him with a somewhat perplexed look on her face, as she noticed something weird, "Sting, it's strange. Risa and her clones are using attacks, but Risa's unleashing them with no hesitation. Normally, you'd have to see how spells work in training before you use them in an actual battle. However, Risa seems to know exactly how these spells will work. It's amazing."

Risa told Lucy in a stern tone while running towards her, as Lucy started to see Risa's eyes now being magenta instead of cherry red, "Lucy, Shizue's going to get up soon. I'll blind her with Gleaming Magenta Psi Aurora, and you can use the Lightning Voltage spell. After that, follow up with something that can attract electricity."

Lucy thought to herself as she merely nodded in approval at Risa's next strategy, seeing how this was all making sense now, "Risa... You've watched me fight before, and you're not just being strategic. You've changed the flow of the battle by seeing future spells, and you and your clones are reacting accordingly! Risa, you heard your former master's voice before when you first used this shade of your magic. The way you're guiding yourself and now guiding me through strategies... It's almost as if she was letting her voice intertwine with the emotions of your magic!"

Risa unleashed the Gleaming Magenta Psi Aurora spell from her left hand while turning to aim it at Shizue, who was now getting up to apply fuchsia pink Psychic Magic to her feet, and she could see Shizue running towards her. One of Risa's clones moved close to her while also activating Esper Ball, and they simultaneously became surrounded by a pink sphere of psychic energy from the real Risa's spell. Shizue got closer to them, prompting Risa to unleash her attack in the form of several magenta pink waves of psychic energy that were large while they exploded around Shizue with an immense amount of brightness, and Risa's clone shot out her enhanced Esper Ball at the same time. The large orb alternated between being magenta and the regular shade of pink, before create a massive pink blast that blinded Shizue even more while it dealt damage to her body, and Shizue screamed in agonizing pain.

That gave Lucy the opportunity to take this chance to use the Lightning Voltage spell, and she did it right before Shizue floated up into the air. Lucy struck Shizue with a yellow orb of electricity from her left hand, creating an average-sized yellow blast of lightning, and she watched Shizue levitate several feet above the battlefield. As she made much more Psychic Magic go down to her feet and shockingly broke out of that levitation to run towards Lucy with a fuchsia pink aura engulfing her bruised body, Lucy narrowed her eyes. She felt like this was now the time to hope that the fifth spell would hopefully do something.

Lucy activated the spell known as Thunderous Electric Static, and she was just as surprised as Shizue to see the spell appear. Shizue's feet came to a complete halt, skidding loudly, and she got to see how Lucy fired a large yellow ball of lightning from her left hand with a small daffodil yellow sphere in its center. Shizue watched the sphere crackle with electricity, before it quickly swerved to merely engulf a broken pillar, and that possible misfire of magic made Shizue run towards Lucy again. However, she watched her body suddenly be engulfed in a yellow aura while electricity flowed around her! Shizue couldn't move, unable to even take a step towards Lucy, and her body was being pulled all the back to where she harshly hit the pillar. Shizue ended up getting viciously electrocuted by all of the lightning that surrounded the pillar, which made her scream in excruciating pain, and Miru slowly stood up from a nearby crater to see what was happening. Miru looked concerned, but Lucy was curious.

"Well, that's weird. The spell didn't work at all in the forest, so why did it suddenly come out now?" Lucy said and asked aloud with a puzzled facial expression.

Miru replied with an astounded look on her face, realizing what had happened, "Those pillars must still have metal in them, since the Psychic Magic on its own couldn't make them be firm when the town was being rebuilt."

Lucy thought to herself while smiling with happiness at this conditional spell, "That's it! When I used lightning in the forest, there was nothing metallic around! However, even the tiniest bits of metal in that pillar pulled Shizue right to it while she was electrified! This battle can definitely turn around to have the odds of winning be in our favor!"

Miru exclaimed to Shizue while seeing the spell come to an end, noticing how her heavily bruised partner fell to the ground with her skin somewhat charred, "Shizue, get on your feet! We don't have to use our final spells on these punks who are protecting a criminal like Risa, and let's just combine our trump cards for a fusion spell that we discussed! We'll definitely win, and I'll be finished with my cigar in about five minutes."

As Miru applied Psychic Magic to her feet and moved to be beside Shizue, Lucy's eyes were narrowed while she paid attention to Miru's high speed. In addition to foreseeing most attacks and having very dangerous spells that could damage people or severely weaken opposing spells, Miru could move quite fast. That prompted Lucy to run towards her while two of Risa's clones ran beside her, and Lucy started to have a plan in mind for winning this battle. She watched Risa's clones use the Gleaming Magenta Psi Aurora spell, causing them to be surrounded by pink spheres of psychic energy, and Lucy got to see both of them get close to Mira before they unleashed their attacks in the form of magenta pink waves that were enormous because of Risa's growing determination to win.

The magenta pink waves made several magenta-colored explosions occur around Miru and Shizue again, prompting Lucy to immediately fire the Lightning Voltage spell at Miru, and being so close to Miru also made Shizue get caught in the yellow blast of lightning! Despite how Lucy could faintly see that happen through all the light, she fired the Lightning Voltage spell at Shizue again. The girl with fuchsia pink eyes screamed in a pained manner with Miru from being electrocuted again, and Lucy panted a bit while activating the Sacred Discharge spell again during this little distraction. She fired a thin yellow beam of lightning up at a cloud, before absorbing the energy from the electric blast to fire another thin beam of lightning up at the electrically-charged cloud, and a massive beam of yellow electricity came down to strike Lucy! The yellow aura was large while it engulfed her body, and Lucy watched the magenta clouds of smoke start to fade away.

Miru looked just as annoyed as Shizue from how their opponents tried to delay them from using their powerful fusion spell, and Miru narrowed her rosewood pink eyes at Lucy. That made the green-haired girl quickly run back towards Sting, and she got to see Miru's hands immensely glow light pink. Miru put her hands together, before shooting out the large pink sphere that was known as Psychotic Dazzling Aura from the space between her hands. Shizue followed that action by using the spell called Psychic Pulse, and a fuchsia pink sphere was fired from her mouth. Shizue hastily made her arms move to be crossing over each other while a fuchsia aura engulfed her body, and she put all of her remaining magical power into this attack. The aura went into the sphere, before changing it into two extremely large fuchsia columns of Psychic Magic that twisted together, and Shizue grabbed a nearby flame with one hand to simply crush it in her palm. She absorbed its psychic power to give herself a bit more strength for later, and Shizue fired her attack at Miru's sphere. She aimed her attacks to merely end up spiraling around the sphere, both of the attacks increasing in power from their high speed pushing some pink flames to gently latch on to them, and Shizue watched Miru move at high speeds to get away from the fusion spell for her own strategy.

Miru exclaimed to Lucy with a taunting smirk on her face, as she ran fast enough to suddenly be behind Risa's group of four clones who had gathered near the real Risa, "Hey, lightning mage! You won't be able to make the electricity around both of us explode to juice up your attacks, since Shizue and I are now on opposite sides of the battlefield! I can tell that you're getting tired again, so even your final electric spell will be worthless against ours!"

"After letting me watch you fight for so long while protecting Frosch-sama, how can you not foresee that Sabertooth's mages can do more than fire off-long range spells?" A certain Celestial Spirit Wizard asked Miru in a calm tone, after feeling herself run much faster to protect Sting right now.

Miru shouted with an astounded look on her face, as Yukino got between her and Lucy during a moment where three of Risa's clones ran towards the other two clones, "What?! Was all that silence part of your strategy, you bitch?!-"

Yukino replied calmly while pulling out a gold key from the left pocket of her jeans, sending magical power into the key, "Gate of The Scales, I open thee. Libra!"

Yukino added nicely, as her tanned-skinned spirit appeared beside her, "Libra, shift the target's gravity downward and increase her weight to stop that high speed."

Libra responded obediently with a calm facial expression, "As you wish!"

The woman who had her black hair styled like ox horns held small bowls and scales from her fingertips like she was a puppeteer, before moving her hands downward in a psychic manner to make gravity heavily come down upon Miru, and the antagonistic mage groaned in frustration while the gravity created a small crater on the battlefield. Miru couldn't lift a finger, and she couldn't even move her feet. That gave Yukino the opportunity to hit her with a heel kick, before hitting Miru in the chest with three powerful punches, and Yukino aggressively kicked Miru into the air for Libra's Gravity Magic to make her crash down on the floor of the ruins again. Yukino watched Miru struggle to stand up while the clone who remained near Risa casually went behind the situation, and Sting joined Lucy in watching Risa's other clones try to take down the fusion spell.

Risa's five clones all stood together to use the Shadowy Psychic's Psychokinetic Magenta Scream spell, shooting out five magenta-colored bursts of spiraling psychic energy, but they all started to wince in frustration from how their combined power was just almost nearly as strong as this fusion spell. To make matters worse, Shizue made a fuchsia aura engulf her body before she pointed to make that aura be directed at the fusion spell. Shizue watched it gain more power to start pushing harder against the five magenta beams, and Risa maintained her extremely strong determination to not let any of her friends get killed. Risa's willpower made the five clones put magical more power into their attacks, pushing back against the fusion spell to where it seemed like they could make both sides cancel each other out, but Risa saw Shizue pick up a pink flame to blow it towards the fusion spell. The slightest touch from the pink fire gave the spell some more power, pushing through Risa's clones to where they vanished in five magenta puffs of smoke.

Miru turned her head to see how the fusion spell would be coming towards the group at a slightly slower pace, pulling down one eyelid with her middle finger as she stuck her tongue out at Yukino for how the Sabertooth mages would die soon in this long battle, and she watched Yukino suddenly close Libra's gate to send her back to the Celestial Spirit World. The Gravity Magic was dispelled, causing Miru to start arrogantly giggling as a somewhat small portion of her pink cigar remained between her teeth, but the aftereffect of Risa's very first magenta spell of Psychic Magic in this fight hadn't been dispelled. Risa's clone quietly grabbed Miru's shoulders from behind, before picking her up, and she threw the electrified wizard straight towards the fusion spell.

"Lucy, your opponents are now in the same direction! You can totally use your finishing spell right now!" Risa's clone confidently told Lucy, before firing a magenta beam from her mouth to heal Lucy even more while also giving her a boost in magical power.

Lucy shouted fiercely, as she felt very determined to win this fight, "The sixth spell of Lightning Magic, I call upon thee! Electrical Luminous Thunder Burst!"

Miru exclaimed with a displeased look on her face, as she saw the aura around Lucy's body become a pastel shade of yellow, "This can't be! We're going to be defeated by Risa Ryusei and her team of morons!"

Lucy placed both of her hands together in a praying stance, before aiming them both at Miru, and she fired a massive yellow beam of Lightning Magic at her opponent! The lightning had tons of electricity flowing around it, but Lucy made her right hand change to being a fist. She slammed it down against her left hand five times, not forgetting the effect of Sacred Discharge still being active, and Lucy fired five smaller yellow beams from her hands. All those beams twisted together to merge with the larger attack, making it be faster, and their power somewhat strengthened Lucy's attack.

The high-level spell of Lightning Magic struck and completely engulfed Miru, the electricity around her body causing the spell to become lemon yellow with thin beams of lemon yellow light emerging from it, and Lucy's spell grew somewhat larger! It collided with the fusion spell made from Psychic Magic, both attacks seeming to be at the same level, but the fact that Risa's clones pushed against it long enough to somewhat weaken its power caused Shizue to merely widen her fuchsia pink eyes in shock at how Lucy's lightning pierced through her spell right before entirely breaking through it. Shizue could only close her eyes while the lightning began to engulf her, and she screamed in intense pain while an extremely massive blast of Lightning Magic occurred! The electric energy went high into the sky, making it become lemon yellow for about ten seconds, and the blast even created winds that blew out some of the pink flames. Lucy's spell was quite strong to where she smiled in happiness from thinking that she won while falling to her knees, but she soon closed her eyes to avoid the yellow smoke that came her way.

After about ten seconds, the smoke soon cleared up to reveal that Miru stood in front of Lucy with several bloody wounds and heavy bruises on her body. The pink-haired woman's clothes were torn while Lucy got to see Miru's legs being hurt by the lightning to where they were now shaking in pain, and the headband that she wore had been destroyed by the electricity. Despite being wounded and out of magical power, Miru looked down at Lucy with an impressed look in her eyes. She didn't think that an outsider from Parmanie could be so powerful, and she wanted to have a bit of power left to finish Lucy off. As Miru frowned, however, she gently clicked her teeth together to discover that her precious pink cigar was gone.

"My cigar... It must've been destroyed in that blast. They're still alive, and my cigar is gone. I took my own joke seriously, but I couldn't beat them. Risa Ryusei's probably tired, too, but that criminal still has more mages on her side. However, the fact that she's Sara's former student and has that much power... I'll have to eliminate that nuisance later to collect that bounty." Miru thought to herself, as she started to fiercely narrow her eyes at Risa.

Miru rudely said aloud to the group, as she started to faintly form an arrogant smile from shifting her eyes to Lucy, "Well, you unfashionable idiots, I have to go eat some desserts and do some more shopping to complete my closet's new area of fashionable outfits."

"You want to eat desserts and go shopping for clothes?" Lucy asked Miru with a puzzled look on her face, surprised by those words.

Miru asked Shizue in a calm manner, as she turned around to look at her heavily injured teammate, "Shizue, you want to go eat some strawberry desserts and shop before the queen requests to see us?"

Shizue responded weakly while laying on her stomach, before raising her head up from the ground to face Miru, "Y-yeah..., we can go do that.. M-Miru, give me a bit of time to get up from here..."

Miru turned back around to tell Lucy's team with a somewhat irked look on her face, before looking at Risa, "Don't get too comfortable if you ever come back here, you pieces of crud! If this had been a fight between me and the girl with Lightning Magic for some precious item, I would've undoubtedly won! For now, we'll let you and Sara's little disciple go without destroying you. Risa Ryusei, you not being arrested today was pure luck! Shizue's Psychic Magic can probably predict that to be true, too!"

Shizue added during how she panted heavily in a pained manner, as she slowly stood up with bloody wounds and harsh bruises on her body, "Y-Yeah. Just remember.. that the royal queen is very glad.. about us knowing first that Sara's little criminal accomplice.. is still alive. We'll eventually get.. promoted for.. capturing you, Risa Ryusei."

Miru simply turned around to walk away, laughing triumphantly at her partner's words, and Risa simply watched Miru go over to Shizue. As those two women were now going to leave the damaged battlefield that still had flames in different shades of pink on it, Risa smiled softly at how the battle was now over. She turned to see her clone disappear in a magenta puff of smoke, before falling to her knees, and Risa felt exhausted from overusing her Psychic Magic in that particular shade of pink. One spell without enhancement could drain her magical power, but taking in unfamiliar magic and using the magenta shade of her Psychic Magic was a potent and deadly combination.

Risa panted heavily while feeling her body tremble from exhaustion, and the magenta aura around her body started to fade away. The aura vanished from being around the other mages, too, and Lucy did her best to stand up. As she saw Miru pick up Shizue to carry her on her back, Lucy turned to Risa and stretched out her hand to help her friend stand up. Sting stood up, too, and Yukino smiled softly at her friends. She may have been happy, but Risa tried to happily smile to show how she was overjoyed at how everyone was safe. None of her friends died, and she protected them.

She watched Sting smile at Lucy, before they shared a happy hug at how they fought well, and Risa soon saw Rogue walk towards the park with a calm look on his face. Risa smiled proudly from seeing him, glad that her strong feelings weren't useless in the battle, and Rogue smiled back at her while he went towards Frosch. As Risa started walking past her friends and thought about celebrating by treating Rogue and her other friends to some food at a restaurant in Parmanie Town, Sting ended the hug with Lucy to make his left hand grab Risa's right hand. Despite how Risa revealed such powerful magic to her teammates and had even fought hard before that with Rogue, Sting's smile changed to a stern frown. He wanted to yell at Risa about it in a questioning manner, but seeing her fight hard like she was trying through her trauma made Sting address the problem in a nicer way.

"Risa. There's something that you need to talk about with the rest of us. Once we get back to the Sabertooth guild, you'll tell us everything about why those girls wanted to arrest you. Also, you'll tell us who this woman named Sara is. You'll tell us everything without trying to hide any secrets, Risa." Sting explained to her in a strict tone, narrowing his eyes.

Lucy added with a concerned facial expression starting to appear on her face, "He's right, Risa. Before we even try to get that fourth ring, you need to get the trauma out. You can't keep bottling it up, especially since it seemed to make you so uncomfortable to where you didn't even shop for clothes in a seemingly fashionable place."

Rogue told Risa with a serious look on his face, as he remembered something before the beginning of this fight, "Risa, you got startled from seeing Miru Itsuki and Shizue Momoiro. You got really mad when Miru spoke badly of Sara, and you let the emotions from your trauma affect your judgement."

Risa responded while closing her eyes that started to have regret in them, letting out a heavy sigh, "All right. When we get back to the guild, I'll tell you everything. I shouldn't have kept the guilt and trauma all to myself, so I won't hide it from you anymore."

How was Chapter 24? Feel free to tell me your thoughts on it. Just so you know, no one showed their ultimate spells in this fight because of how those will be saved for later. Also, the fact of how the normal pink shade of her Psychic Magic fused with Rogue's Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic to create that magenta shade of magic will be touched upon later in this arc. Furthermore, Miru and Shizue aren't the main villains of this arc. In fact, Miru stating how she would've won in a fight against only Lucy for an item is a reference to how Miru was initially the main antagonist who had the legendary ring in this arc while this was originally the last of the four fights in the arc. Anyway, this is the third chapter of the Fuchsia Psychic Arc! I'll update soon. :)
