Chapter 26: Training With Master Sara! The Shared Emotional Bond! Feelings of Being An Awesome Mother!

Risa's POV

I felt somewhat better from sharing the events of that fateful first day with my friends in the Sabertooth guild, since they wanted me to get my trauma out instead of choosing to not talk about it, and I softly smiled at how everyone seemed to look very interested in how that first day was such a major event that occurred in my life. Of course, that wasn't the only day where it felt great to be around Master Sara. That entire week had been nice, as we were simply getting to know each other through simple things like the types of clothes that we thought were fashionable.

I recalled how the very end of that first week involved Master Sara taking me to a different fashion store in the town of Parmanie, and we had picked out some more nice outfits. The closet in her bedroom had been pretty big to where she could store several clothes, as well as having several pairs of shoes neatly organized, and she was always so fashionable. When that particular fashion store had a sale where clothes were being sold at fifty percent off, Master Sara wasn't just an amazing expert at picking out the clothes that she wanted to buy. She also helped me pick out good clothes that suited my sense of style, but she was awesome at using her magic.

Master Sara didn't just use her Psychic Magic to quickly get us some clothes from fashion sales by levitating them through the air, but she had been so skilled with that magic to where it made me view that type of magic as the one that I wanted to learn. Even if I tried to learn it on my own, though, having Master Sara's guidance in the past really helped me out with training near the town with some spells that I still used in the current time. The fact that we trained together after I asked to learn about Psychic Magic really made me feel happy, especially since she was an excellent teacher.

She taught me everything that I needed to know about Psychic Magic, such as how I had the freedom to levitate people or send objects high into the sky with the power of my mind, and Master Sara had even desired to someday teach me the advanced forms of it that involved Psychic Magic being in other shades of pink that weren't regular pink or light pink. She never challenged me to a fight in our training, however, and that was due to how she had strict conditions for how I had to use my spells. As I recalled our first day of training, Sting gently cleared his throat to get my attention.

"After Sara took you into her home and helped you have better fashion choices, how did you get her to train you in learning Psychic Magic?" Sting asked me with a smile of curiosity on his face.

I responded to him while continuing to smile softly, "Well, I had asked Master Sara about it after I woke up for breakfast Also, I told her about how I wanted to be as cool as her."

Lucy nicely asked me, as she smiled happily, "Did Sara ever put you through tough training?"

I explained to her with a calmer facial expression, "Since I wanted to be as awesome as her, she definitely put me through intense training while she also trained me in the best way."

I smiled kindly while thinking about how Master Sara began our training with teaching me how to create spells of Psychic Magic in my mind, training me to where I had to envision them with the highest amount of focus, and I had to gather spiritual energy in the palms of my hands for me to even be capable of creating those spells. Combining spiritual energy with magical power was no easy task for me, despite how Master Sara could easily do that to create very powerful spells, but I had been working hard to learn Psychic Magic from her.

Master Sara even taught me about how Psychic Magic required a person's mind and soul to work in conjunction with their emotions, such as how a person could strengthen their Psychic Magic by putting more emotion into those spells that were created from their mind, and it could even be possible to change the effects of spells with how much magical power and emotion was put into them. Some spells of Psychic Magic that could explode would also merely create harmless fireworks if they were lacking emotion and magical power, so they could be fearsome or fun spells at different times.

However, the most important lesson that I learned from Master Sara during my training was about how the right amount of determination to master a spell could help me master it easily. Master Sara always seemed to firmly believed that being determined to succeed at something while also having an immense amount of love or passion for spells could help me thrive with them, and she had always been right about that. Her lessons weren't the only great aspect of training with her, though. In fact, she was also very encouraging. Upon remembering the times where she gave me a thumbs-up, all that I could do right now was start to smile happily.

"How did Sara train you, Risa? Did she get you something fashionable for every spell that you mastered?" Lucy asked me with a kind smile on her face.

I replied nicely, remembering that first week of training, "Master Sara always trained me with good motivation, such as telling me that my psychic power had to be better than any girl who had their eyes on fashionable clothing."

Sting told me with a confident facial expression, before chuckling lightly, "You're good at getting what you want in fashion stores, Risa, so that's not surprising. Although, it's a little surprising that she didn't advise you about paying attention in your first week as a mage."

I responded to him in a somewhat defensive manner, as I slightly frowned, "Master, she at least advised me to pay attention during training."

Master Sara definitely did want me to pay attention during training, especially when I had gotten a little too delighted about how she would be teaching me a new spell, and paying attention during those months of training had been crucial for me. Training together allowed me to bond more with Master Sara, since her methods of training didn't just involve creating explosive spells, and running out of fashion shops with her was also a form of training because of how she wanted my body to get stronger from all those physical activities.

We didn't just bond over training, though, and learning more about Master Sara helped me grow closer to her. I started to frown a bit from thinking about how there was a time where she actually seemed sad from something so simple that had occurred in our interactions with each other, and my curiosity had probably made her have to relive some trauma or grief. I did to my best to comfort her, even though I had only been a young child, and the fact that she felt sad made me want to do everything in my power to make her be happy.

Just like how she had made me be very happy on the first day that we met and the day after that, I was wanting to make Master Sara be happy from having me around. Whether we were training or simply eating breakfast together, I wanted to be a good person who could at least fill one of the voids that was in her life. She had been caring to me, so I wanted to help her. When she had seen that I could make her life better, both of us seemed to truly find a person who could support us when we had struggles. In fact, thinking about struggles made me remember that first week of when she trained me to use Psychic Magic.

Risa's Flashback to eleven years ago, at different days... (Narrator POV)

Risa went out into the pink forest near the town of Parmanie with Sara, smiling nicely as she was eager to learn Psychic Magic from someone who was an awesome expert with that particular type of magic, and this was actually Risa's first time entering the forest of trees that had pink leaves on them. There were several different plants that were all in different shades of pink in this forest, some of them looking like they could be poisonous while there were cute flowers that Risa thought would look great on Sara's head, and Sara would actually want Risa to train hard with destroying some plants.

The first lesson that Sara gave Risa in Psychic Magic pertained to imagining psychic spells in her mind, such as an orb that was pink, and Sara demonstrated that by closing her eyes. She built up some magical power while making a pin aura surround her body, and thinking with immense focus about a pink orb in her right hand caused Sara to calmly create it. Upon seeing the pink orb actually be created in Sara's hand, Risa's cherry red eyes became filled with delight. She attempted to create that technique, building up magical power to where a pink aura engulfed her body, and Risa thought about the pink orb in its current form. However, imagining it to be a bit smaller for herself caused the orb to start shrinking in her left hand after she created it.

Sara looked a bit disappointed while she saw Risa's pink orb have its magic be blown away by a breeze of wind, and she activated the technique again while even thinking about how she had to use it on an enemy. Sara easily created the orb again, and she thought that it would be good to point at the mountain trail while looking annoyed. Sara began to focus Psychic Magic into her fuchsia pink eyes for a few seconds, and she easily made the large boulder near the bottom of the trail rise high into the air. She released the psychic energy that began to be around it, causing the boulder to loudly fall back down on to the mountain trail, and the possibility of enemies possibly being there made Risa feel like she needed to have complete focus with using the spell. She closed her eyes while making a pink aura engulf both of her hands, aiming them at the boulder, and the feeling of needing to defeat an enemy allowed Risa to create a pink sphere in her hand. She thought about the sphere, entirely focusing her mind on it while wanting the attack to be strong, and Risa ended up creating a pink sphere that was stable.

The following day, Sara decided to teach Risa two new spells of Psychic Magic. The first new spell was known as Cosmic Psi, which Sara quickly created in her right hand for Risa to see that it was a pink sphere within another pink sphere. Sara threw it at a tree that was somewhat distant from her and Risa, watching the attack create a powerful pink blast, and she smiled happily from seeing Risa's eyes twinkle with excitement. Sara proceeded to make a pink aura surround both of her hands, and she surprised Risa by slashing at the air. Risa soon saw a projectile that was pink and crescent-shaped appear nearby, before Sara pushed that attack forward with her psychic power to make it strike a distant group of hot pink flowers, and the large pink blast made Risa look very impressed at the abilities of her teacher. She spent hours in the forest with Sara, really wanting to master those spells, and ten attempts at using each spell really helped Risa get better at those spells to where Sara viewed them as being mastered.

Sara told Risa with a kind smile on her face, as sunlight shined down on the forest for the third day of their training, "All right, Risa. I'm going to be teaching you a new spell today, so pay close attention."

"A new spell! That's great, Sara! A new spell, a new spell! Yay! This is so awesome! I'll learn a cool new spell!" Risa told her with an excited facial expression, before comically dancing around happily.

Sara calmly told Risa, as she seemed a little miffed by how she continued to excitedly dance around, "Risa, enough of that. Try to pay attention, unless you want to have a dance-off instead!"

"A new spell! This is so cool! Way too cool! It's so exciting!" Risa told Sara in a happy manner, as she continued to dance.

Sara shouted with an annoyed facial expression, before comically hitting Risa in the face to make her lightly roll across the ground, "Risa, I want you to pay attention! Also, when we're training, call me Master Sara! Master! Remember that title, kid!"

Risa replied nicely, as she stood up and looked at Sara with a focused facial expression, "Yes, Master Sara! I'll call you Master, and I'll remember that cool title!"

Sara shot out a thin pink beam of energy from her right hand, and she made the beam touch the light pink blouse that Risa had been wearing as her uniform during their training. Risa closed her eyes while worrying, only to not feel any pain from the beam of psychic energy, and she quickly opened her eyes to see a pink aura engulfing her body. Risa watched small white clouds of smoke start to sizzle up from the left side of her face, which was where Sara had hit her, and Sara pulled out a small round mirror from the right pocket of her skirt for Risa to see that the wound fully healed to where it seemingly never happened.

Sara hoped that Risa would possibly find ways to strengthen this spell, since Sara herself sadly hadn't figured out a way to increase its strength to where the healing spell could make anyone be able to recover from extremely serious injuries, and she also hoped that the young girl could master it. Sara proceeded to shot out a hot pink sphere of Psychic Magic from her right hand, before shockingly sticking her right hand into the sphere, and she screamed in excruciating pain from how her hand was starting to get twisted from touching the sphere. Her fingers were bending in unnatural ways while her hand bent in its own direction, and the hot pink blast that occurred near the girls wasn't as concerning as Sara's twisted hand. The fact that Sara put her bare hand into the spell caused it to have several pink burns on it while they looked quite hot, and the fact that the spell's blast didn't distort their bodies or tear them made Risa be fully concerned about Sara. She used her Psychic Magic to create a thin healing beam that was fired from her hand, and she aimed the beam at the palm of her mentor's distorted hand. Risa imagined the beam to have healing properties, focusing entirely on that, and she watched a pink aura surround Sara's hand while her entire hand quickly turned back to normal with white clouds of smoke sizzled up from her wounds.

Due to how Sara's hand and fingers had contorted to bend in so many different directions while that teaching lesson made her feel tremendous pain to where Risa was extremely worried, she decided to not teach her the Psychic Spatial Twist spell. Instead, their fourth day of training was spent with Risa learning to heal her own injuries in the forest. Sara hadn't made Risa fight her, but going shopping earlier in the morning for a fashion sale allowed Sara to make Risa run around the forest with heavy shopping bags in her hands. When Risa's hands had burn marks or cuts on them, she had to use her healing spell to make them be perfectly fine again. Not only did Sara see that as helping Risa get used to carrying heavy shopping bags during sales where clothes in fashion trends wouldn't be expensive, but Risa was getting more practice with that healing spell.

"Master Sara, am I learning a new technique today?" Risa asked her with a calm smile on her face, ready for their fifth day of training together.

Sara responded with a nice smile on her face, as she placed her left hand behind her right hand, "Yes, Risa! In fact, this spell can help you be a splendid person when you follow the strict condition of using it to help your friends out! With the right amount of passion in this spell and in others, you'll be closer to being exceptional with Psychic Magic!"

"Wow! Teach it to me, Master Sara!" Risa happily replied with a look on her face that showed how Sara made her feel very inspired, before Risa playfully ran around her master in a circle for a moment.

Sara told Risa while smiling in an encouraging manner, as she leaned forward to face her with two thumbs-up, "As a little challenge, I'll only let you see it once. After that, you have to use your Psychic Magic to replicate it for the rest of the week. You can do it, Risa! Show me how cool you are, kid! You're Risa Ryusei! The super cool little psychic, Risa Ryusei!"

Risa watched Sara place her left hand a few inches behind her right hand, before building up magical power to where her Psychic Magic allowed two pink orbs to be created in her hands, and the pink orb in her right hand began to change into being a pink aura while the orb in her left hand started to absorb it. A pink aura started to surround Sara's body while three pink rings of psychic energy surrounded the orb that had grown larger, and Sara used her other hand to simply point to how her rings floated around the orb in a triangular formation. Sara threw the attack at a pink bush that had some dark pink berries growing on it, and Risa got to see the attack create three consecutive pink blasts. A side effect of the spell was that Sara was suddenly pulled towards the blasts, but she merely moved in the direction of the gravity instead of fighting against it. The blasts faded away before she could touch them, however, and Risa got to see psychic energy harshly press down on the crater where the bush once stood alongside other plants.

That spell was known as Psychic Cosmic Rings, and Risa placed her right hand a few inches behind her left hand. She built up a high amount of magical power to where the pink orbs that were created had been somewhat larger than Sara's, and Risa giggled happily from how the pink aura engulfed her body. The orb in her left hand changed into a pink aura of psychic energy, before the aura in her right hand absorbed it, and seeing three rings float around the orb in a triangle made Risa grin with happiness. She threw the orb at the bottom part of a tree while impulsively running towards it before trying to jump upward, and the first blast sent Risa flying high into the air! The other two blasts made her go higher into the sky, and Risa started to look a bit fearful at how she was quite high above the forest. She began to come back down from the sky while closing her eyes to take away the pain of crashing into the ground, but Risa felt herself quickly float down to land in Sara's arms.

Risa gently hugged Sara, before feeling the older woman put her down to the ground, and Sara merely laughed in an impressed manner at how Risa found another way to use that spell. High altitude for avoiding attacks could be useful, and Sara decided that she would help Risa train hard with that creative way of using the spell. Of course, her pink blouse and white skirt that matched her orange shoes would have to be replaced from how the first blast somewhat damaged Risa's training uniform. Sara would replace those clothes later, and she would keep on training Risa. The next two days of training were pretty good, since all of Risa's skills progressed to a decent level for a child, and the fact that they trained together while having fun only improved the bond between Risa and Sara.

Three weeks later, during breakfast...

Sara washed a pink plate in the kitchen, smiling nicely at how she had been such a great teacher to where Risa definitely deserved the large stack of chocolate chip pancakes that she was eating, and she was so glad to have many good times with Risa. Not only was their training enjoyable, but Sara enjoyed going out to clothing stores with Risa. Going to the clothing stores definitely seemed enjoyable when they had sales, and Sara had been glad that Risa playfully jumped on her yesterday morning to wake her up for a week-long sale in the distant town of Gudai.

Being outside of Parmanie for a sale had been fun for Risa, especially since she got to shop with an amazing woman such as Sara, and she smiled nicely while recalling how shopping in that desert town was fun. Sara even bought some platters of delicious giant shrimps with rice from a concession stand in that town, along with some rice balls from a different concession stand, and the fact that Risa also shared Sara's love of spicy food was pretty good for both of them. Getting food after purchasing clothes was always fun, since shopping was such an enjoyable activity.

Risa was still a young child, though, so Sara did tell her some nice bedtime stories about missions that she had gone on as a mage. Risa would always smile happily or look awestruck from hearing Sara's tales, such as when she easily finished an S-Class mission in a cold town and later fought against a woman named Ur in a match that ended in a draw between them. Sara's stories were always so cool, and they always helped Risa fall asleep in her bed very easily. She was glad to be living with an awesome woman who had been a mage, and Sara's fashion sense even made Risa desire to someday tell Sara a story about how she got awesome outfits at a sale. As Risa smiled and ate her pancakes at the dining table, turning her head towards the end table for a moment made her start to look a bit curious about something.

She noticed that the brown picture frame on the small pink end table was still turned towards the wall, which seemed very weird to Risa, and she got up from the chair to go look at it. Risa quickly reached the end table, and she slowly turned the photo around to see that it featured a young girl with fuchsia pink hair tied back into two pigtails while she wore a fancy white winter coat that matched the black winter boots she wore. As Risa smiled at how the black knee-high boots had cute white buttons on them and took notice of how the child's white winter skirt had black horizontal stripes, she wondered if this girl who smiled happily with her eyes closed had been Sara when she was younger.

Risa proceeded to go into the kitchen and ask Sara with a curious look on her face, "Sara, who's that girl in the photo and why is it turned away from us all the time?"

Sara replied with a startled look in her eyes, before she had a saddened facial expression while looking down at the cleaned plate, "She was... my daughter. She was only seven years old, Risa. She... died of a heart disease. She died... right in front of me in the hospital room. Now, I have nothing. Nothing..."

Risa responded with an apologetic facial expression, as she heard Sara lightly sniffle from recalling those memories, "I'm sorry, Sara. I shouldn't have touched that photo. I'm really sorry."

Sara told Risa in a calm manner, as she kept her back turned to her, "It's not your fault, Risa. I left the photo on that table, but any people who die should have their photos turned away from view. It's just better that way, kid."

Risa turned away to walk out of the kitchen, and she didn't like how Sara was now feeling upset. Risa could understand why she was sad, though, and she simply frowned in a saddened manner to share Sara's pain. Even though they both came from different families and lost different types of family members, Risa could relate to how Sara must've felt so hurt from losing someone who she cared about. To be incredibly hurt to where Sara claimed that she had nothing left must've been a very awful feeling that was associated with the memories of losing her daughter, and Risa felt herself be hurt by that pain.

It reminded her of how she felt like her world had crumbled when Miss Cordelia gave her the unfortunate news of how her parents were dead, and being so lonely for months was such a horrible feeling for Risa. Sara must've felt the same way after losing her daughter, experiencing that pain of being all alone with no one to be beside her for any happy moments in life, and not having any happiness in life was truly the most miserable type of life that a person could have. Risa went back to the kitchen, and she got to see Sara continuing to wash dishes. As Sara cleaned another dish, Risa could see a tear fall from her eye to lightly land on the plate.

That made Risa frown more in an apologetic manner, and she walked back to her chair. Risa ate the four remaining pancakes that were on the plate in front of her, trying to enjoy their sweet taste, but she felt like it would be good to find some way to cheer up Sara. Risa cared about her new friend so much to where she didn't want Sara to feel like there was no one who cared about her, and Risa didn't want to see Sara feeling like she was all alone. Risa grabbed her empty plate, and she got off the chair to go put her plate in the sink. As Risa entered the kitchen, she felt that her mentor was now the one who needed some advice.

"Sara, I felt incredibly alone when my parents died. However, you've made me happy ever since the day we met. Sara, please don't feel like you're all alone and in despair forever. Seeing you hurt makes me feel pain, but I want to comfort you. After all, you comforted me." Risa told her with a concerned facial expression, as she walked up to the sink.

Sara turned to reply with a look of realization on her face, as she thought about what Risa just said, "Risa... Thank you. You were wanting to cheer me up because I was feeling very down, and you're probably right. I shouldn't be feeling like I'm all alone, since you're now in my life."

"That's right! Always remember that you have a friend, Sara. You're not alone, as long as I'm here. Show me how cool you are, Sara! You're the super cool Master Sara!" Risa responded to her, before cutely giving her a thumbs-up.

Sara replied kindly while taking the plate from Risa to put it in the sink, before gently rubbing Risa's head, "Thanks, kid. From here on out, I won't be consumed by grief and I'll definitely show you how cool I am. That's a promise, Risa!"

Risa happily hugged Sara while smiling, glad that her mentor wouldn't be sad forever or think that she had no one left in the world, and Risa even got to feel Sara gently wrap her arms around her. They continued to hug for a few more minutes, until the sink's water faucet made the sink start to get too full with water, and Sara started to smile confidently again. She turned off the water, before adjusting the sunglasses that suddenly fell downward to start being on her eyes, and Sara glanced at the mint green sunglasses that Risa wore on her forehead.

As Sara thought back to that first day where they went shopping for sunglasses, she thought about how Risa wasn't just an orphaned kid who was now in her home. Risa was special to her, especially with how Sara was technically teaching her own Psychic Magic to this young girl like how she had planned to do with her own daughter when she would turn eight, and Sara silently vowed to take good care of Risa. Even if she had to teach her more of the acceptable shades of Psychic Magic to make her be able to heal herself, Sara would gladly do that.

She looked down at Risa's attire to see that she wore a light pink midriff with some bubblegum pink jeans, which was almost identical to how Sara wore a magenta midriff that showed her stomach while she wore some jeans in the shade of hot pink, and Risa didn't want to just have fashionable clothes that she could wear during her training. She looked up to Sara, viewing her as a great and confident role model who she immensely admired, and Risa wanted to be like her. She even secretly put magenta high-heeled shoes in the middle of her own stack of new clothes yesterday, due to how Sara tended to wear them during this month of training, and Risa decided to gently touch Sara's face while happily viewing her as a motherly figure.

One month later, during nighttime...

Being together for about two months allowed Risa and Sara to form a tight bond, and their caring natures towards each other allowed them to be like a child who felt very attached to her parent. In fact, Risa enjoyed being around Sara to where every single night was where Sara would tell Risa an amazing bedtime story during the nighttime. The story that Sara was currently telling Risa had been a tale about she was an amazing psychic mage in her hometown, superb to the point where she once took down a mob of criminals with her psychic powers, and Sara smiled kindly as she told the story.

Risa's eyes were filled with delight from hearing that even dark mages who used Darkness Magic were no match for Sara, as she was an excellent wizard who couldn't be defeated by weak mages, and Risa even giggled from hearing Sara tell her that she levitated the gang leader all the way to the very top of a tower to make that particular evil wizard be scared about falling from a high building. Sara had portrayed herself as an excellent mage in these stories, being so super cool, and the fact that she beat her enemies with magenta pink magic sounded very awesome.

Risa had never seen Psychic Magic in the magenta shade of pink, and hearing Sara's story about how she wielded that legendary magic to protect the precious people of her hometown made Risa smile joyfully at how the motherly woman was definitely her hero. Sara hadn't just been a kind woman who kept Risa from continuing to be on the dirty streets of Parmanie during days where the weather could be harsh, but Sara was someone who always seemed so brave. No matter who her enemies were, Sara would always take them on in a fight.

Sara finished her story by telling Risa that she decimated the enemies with Psychic Magic in the magenta shade of it, which was an amazing level of magic that made her psychic powers be quite strong to where her hometown even rewarded her with 100,000 jewels for being such an awesome wizard, and using that particular magic with other shades of Psychic Magic also made her be one of the greatest wizards in her guild before it disbanded. Despite how it disbanded, though, Sara always remembered her strength as a mage of that guild while making herself be on the difficult journey of moving to Parmanie. The fact that Sara had been in a guild made Risa feel very interested in joining a great guild someday, and she would follow in Sara's footsteps to be a great wizard. She would strive to get tons of money, too, but Risa still felt curious about something.

"Sara, can you ever teach me that magenta magic someday?" Risa asked Sara with a small smile on her face, as she got under the light pink comforter.

That prompted Sara to reply in a calm manner, as she slightly narrowed her eyes, "Maybe at a later point in your life, kid. For now, I wouldn't teach you that shade of magic because of its drawbacks."

"Drawbacks?" Risa curiously asked, as Sara stood near the bed and looked down at her.

Sara explained to Risa with a nice smile on her face, as she didn't want her to worry, "Yeah, drawbacks. Risa, those are side effects of spells. Anyway, the magenta shade of magic would currently burn up all of your magical power if you used one spell of it. It's too powerful for you, but I know that you'll master it someday. I believe in you, kiddo."

Sara gently spread the comforter over Risa's body, covering her cute pink pajamas, and Sara was happy to wear her magenta pink pajamas while telling that great story to Risa. Sara truly did believe that Risa would master that magenta shade of Psychic Magic at a later point in her life, possibly being able to use some of the strongest spells that were said to reside strictly within that area of Psychic Magic, and Sara was glad to have several books on it in a secret area of the house. She hoped that no one would ever find her books, since that magic would be disastrous if horrible people used it.

There was the idea of teaching it to Risa now, as Sara could change her mind for the purpose of protecting Sara from any mages who wanted to harm Parmanie Town, but Sara didn't want to risk anything bad happening to the young child in this town. Despite the fact that they lived among other psychics, having a level of Psychic Magic that nobody else seemed to possess was a very tricky thing to deal with. Sara recalled how Parmanie Town had rules about the royals, people who were supposedly the best wielders of Psychic Magic, and even seeing a commoner such as Sara wield the magic could be disastrous.

It seemed clear to Sara that whoever initially created the magenta shade of magic had enemies, as they had kept books on it hidden throughout Fiore while those books could only be burned with magenta Psychic Magic, and they must've entrusted that magic to future generations such as herself. However, the fact that the new royals made rules about how only their own areas of magic could be seen as powerful made Sara think that these royals had something to do with the people wielding magenta magic eventually ending up deceased while thieves who attacked the town merely stole the books to let others in Fiore have them. Even if the royals someday targeted psychics because of their corrupt rules or insecurities, Sara started to have determination in her eyes from how she swore to protect Risa.

"Good night, Risa. We'll always have fun times together, kid." Sara told Risa with a nice smile appearing on her face, before walking out of Risa's bedroom.

Risa replied softly, as she closed her eyes and began falling asleep, "Good night, Mommy."

Sara whispered to herself in shock while turning around, her eyes widening in a stunned manner to where she placed her hands near her heart, "Mommy... Risa, you called me Mommy."

Sara felt some tears well up in her eyes, as she thought about how her little daughter used to happily say those three little words before falling asleep, and she quickly wiped away her tears. As Sara went back to her room, she started to think about how having Risa around really began to fill a void in her heart that had been as painful as an open wound that was always untreated. Risa had been healing that wound by being such a nice and impressive girl, working hard and liking fashion to where she and Sara had a picnic in the grassy park to celebrate how they were the first ones to buy clothes at a fashion sale in Parmanie, and it felt great to have Risa around.

The pain of losing her daughter would probably never subside entirely, but having a wonderful kid like Risa around made Sara feel like she was experiencing the joys of being a mother again. She unknowingly placed one hand on her stomach while looking back at Risa in her room, and Sara simply let her tears softly fall to the ground. Every happy day with Risa was wonderful, especially with how Sara even held her hand when they went out of the house, and the attachment that Sara felt to the young girl made her start to hope that every day of their lives could be filled with joy.

As Sara went out of the bedroom and sat down at the dining table for a moment to just think about how Risa would eventually become nine years old, she started to happily cry with tears falling on to the table. Sara would get to celebrate a birthday with Risa, which was something that she hadn't done with a family member ever since the year where her daughter died, and Sara smiled nicely at how Risa would probably enjoy a birthday celebration with her new parent. After how Risa had helped her cheer up last month, Sara felt like she needed to do something nice for her. She quickly went into Risa's bedroom to just give her a thankful smile, appreciating how this sweet child viewed her as a great parent, and seeing Risa smile cutely as she slept prompted Sara to gently close her eyes while giving Risa a soft goodnight kiss on the forehead.

How was Chapter 26? Feel free to tell me your thoughts on it. This part of the arc may be mostly flashbacks, but it is showing the bond that Risa had with her mentor. In fact, their bond was pretty strong. Even as strong as their bond was, though, that couldn't prevent Sara's eventual death. The magenta shade of Psychic Magic is starting to show more of its importance in this arc, and the royals certainly dislike magic that is more powerful than their own. How did Risa exactly learn to use that magic without getting caught instantly, though? You'll see. Also, this chapter is the fifth part of the Fuchsia Psychic Arc! I'll update soon. :)
