Chapter 27: Risa's Birthday Celebration With Sara & The Basement of The Magenta Magic! The Bond Between Mother & Child!

Risa's POV

I began to smile more from how it seemed enjoyable to talk about the happier times of my childhood with my friends sitting around the table, as they were all smiling nicely from how Master Sara and I had such an emotional bond. Our happiness came from how we were like a mother and a child in a well-functioning family, and having Master Sara in my life was one of the best things that could've ever happened to me. She wasn't just my mentor, but Master Sara was a wonderful motherly figure and a great friend who always gave me the encouragement that I needed for me to experience success at different tasks.

Master Sara had once made me go shopping for clothes by myself, since she was busy with preparing some food for a certain special day, and the fact that she trusted me enough to shop on my own for several hours made me feel like she was an excellent mother who could trust me enough to display that I learned how to have a level of fashion sense that was amazing. By having me go through that task where I had to be trusted to pick out some fashionable outfits with a budget of twenty-thousand jewels, that trust only made our bond grow.

Judging by how our bond with each other was growing to such a high level to where we cared for each other like we were actually a family, I felt immensely happy. In fact, I even felt happy when Master Sara scolded me about being too curious about a secret room in the house where I had no right to see what was in there. Even though I had been curious and checked out the items in that room for a few hours each day, Master Sara still needed to be a good mother who would tell me to stay out of places where the items in that room weren't supposed to be viewed by me at such a young age.

Those items pertained to how I learned the magenta shade of Psychic Magic, as I had discovered that room by accident when Master Sara was taking a shower, and going into that room when she was bathing or cooking had given me some hours of time to see how the magenta-colored Psychic Magic was so unique. I had decided to learn about it while not carelessly using it, but my lips started to form a sad frown from how that fateful incident where I had to use it was what really changed things for me and my mentor. I had been feeling like it was my fault that she died, especially because of that day. As I started to let my mind try to focus more on the happy times, though, Lucy let out a small cough.

"The fact that Sara was in a guild really contributed to why you became a mage, Risa?" Lucy asked me with a kind facial expression.

I replied to her while having a very small smile on my face, "Yeah, that's right. She always told me some of the most amazing stories from when she was a mage, and I wanted to be just like Master Sara."

"However, using that magenta magic in Parmanie Town must've been like a criminal act from how the royals themselves couldn't wield it." Rogue told me with a frown on his face, as he started trying to piece together how Master Sara died.

I sadly responded to Rogue, as the feeling of sorrow started to be in my eyes, "That's right. In addition to that, Master Sara's guild got disbanded by the Magic Council. From what I had heard, the council members themselves wanted all illegal research on certain shades of magic to be stopped. For example, someone who always wielded Wind Magic in a light green color was supposedly doing an illegal activity. Despite how Master Sara was no longer in a guild, the council members sent a representative to just check out any suspicions."

It had been frustrating for me to recall how they sent someone to look into Master Sara's past, almost like there was a legitimate reason to be worried about what she would do with that powerful Psychic Magic, and the fact that they even took Master Sara out of the house was something that had definitely gotten me angry. She hadn't done anything wrong for her to deserve getting questioned about her Psychic Magic, but the royals who joined in on the investigation had the nerve to disagree while they claimed how she was a criminal.

Master Sara definitely wasn't a criminal, since she didn't viciously use her magic to hurt people who didn't agree with her views, and the fact that the investigator refused to listen to her had been aggravating for me. Studying an area of Psychic Magic wasn't the same as actually using it, and there was nothing wrong with being more knowledgeable about Psychic Magic. After all, there was the dangerous scenario of how the royals wanting to have a level of power that's strong in comparison to the commoners wouldn't make Parmanie be prepared for a possible war between towns.

As I thought about how it could've been possible for that cult in Yamabuki Town to have annihilated Parmanie's citizens at least a month before that cult became our problem, I also started to think about the system with royals. When the royals were chosen, why were they always such jerks who couldn't even show mercy to an orphaned child on the street? They couldn't even let other people show mercy, either, as they demanded that people pay certain amounts of jewels each month for the number of family members who were in the house. Master Sara had probably been making early-morning payments for herself, so the fact that I wasn't biologically her daughter wouldn't be an issue. I thought about how that fact backfired because of my emotions, though, and Sting looked at me with a calm expression as my body trembled from remembering it.

"Risa, remember what we told you. Just start at any point that feels good for you, and keep talking from there." Sting told me while starting to look at me with a somewhat comforting expression.

I replied to him, after exhaling a soft breath of air, "Okay."

"If it makes you feel more happy to keep remembering good times before the bad ones, that might make it easier to keep talking about the trauma." Lucy told me with a nice smile on her face.

That caused me to respond to Lucy while frowning a bit, before thinking about my past again, "All right, Lucy. I'll tell you all about Sara's wonderful surprise for me on a special day."

The day that I would be telling my friends about would be my ninth birthday, which was the birthday where I definitely felt happy while I would get to joyously celebrate that day with the woman who I perceived to be my new mother, and I actually felt good about telling them that this day was one of the best days of my life. That particular day was where I got to show Master Sara that I could go into a fashion store by myself, as she claimed that a strong mage who used Psychic Magic would be able to be in places by themselves, and going to the fashion store on my own was a great place to start.

Visiting the fashion store on my own with a limited amount of money was something that didn't just teach me to be responsible with my cash, but I had to pick out the perfect outfit for myself. That was my first major test as a mage who could wield Psychic Magic, similar to how a mage would have try fighting exceptionally well with a limited number of spells. I felt happy to choose the best outfit for myself, even though it took several hours of time for me to choose clothes that I wouldn't put back on the racks, and the fact that I proved to Master Sara about how I could do that made me feel very happy.

Although, getting back to the house where we lived together caused me to feel even happier. Even though I hadn't disclosed my birthday to Master Sara because of how that wasn't important, I closed my eyes as I started to remember how that kind woman named Cordelia always made pies for me on my birthday. Miss Cordelia would always bring pies over to the house, and being in the fashion store for such a long time made me miss out on that tradition. Still, the fact that Sara wanted me to participate in a new and fun tradition made me very happy. In fact, that day was one that I could never forget.

-Risa's Flashback to eleven years ago, at different times of day- (Narrator POV)

After being given twenty-thousand jewels to buy a nice outfit and also being ordered to go shopping during this fine morning, Risa quickly left the house to run all the way to the store known as Parmanie Fashions. Risa quickly made it to the store, and she got to see a sign on the store informing customers about how there was a sale on skirts today. Apparently, any skirt in the store would be costing fifty percent less than the original price. Risa wasted no time with entering the store, and she headed directly to the racks that were selling skirts in different shades of pink.

Risa proceeded to pick out a fuchsia pink skirt with light pink horizontal stripes on the bottom of it, and she also walked over to some denim shirts to pick out some bubblegum pink shirts that were looking very cute. Risa quickly placed them in the fitting room while briefly looking down at her rose pink shirt that had four strawberry pink orbs on it, before getting some magenta pink high-heeled shoes off of the dark pink shoe rack, and Risa also decided to get three more skirts to try on. She would eventually pick the best clothes that helped her have the perfect fashionable outfit, but Risa also felt like she needed to buy a cute magenta bow for her hair.

Five hours went by before she could find the perfect combination of clothes to wear, and Risa eventually decided to wear a bubblegum pink blouse with a hot pink lower half that matched a fuchsia pink skirt that had a cute design of light pink psychic orbs on every part of it, and Risa also chose to wear the magenta high-heeled shoes. She rubbed them with her fingers to see the fronts of the shoes nicely shine, and Risa took off the red high heels that she currently wore. After putting on the magenta shoes and walking in them, Risa joyfully decided that she would definitely purchase the shoes.

Risa took them off, and she cutely smiled while heading to the counter with the clothes that she would buy. Risa kept them all neatly stacked, balancing the clothes to where the shoes were at the very top of her stack, and she easily placed them on the counter. Since she went shopping by herself, Risa giggled a bit at how the cashier gave her an impressed look. She started to scan the boots, before scanning the bow and the clothes that were underneath them. Risa pulled out the money from the left pocket of her red skirt, and she placed the money on the counter for the cashier to start counting it.

"All right, then. You'll only need to give me seven-thousand jewels, sweetie. The rest of the money is yours." The female cashier with long bubblegum pink hair told Risa with a kind smile on her face, as she slid the somewhat small stack of thirteen-thousand jewels back to her.

Risa replied cutely while grabbing the money and watching the cashier get a nearby pink grab bag for the items, "Thank you!"

"Have a good day!" The cashier sweetly told Risa, after putting the items in the bag and handing it to her.

Now that Risa was done shopping, she could hastily head home to see Sara. She giggled happily while running all the way back to the house with her bag of fashionable purchases, and the thought of running quite fast even made Risa apply Psychic Magic to her feet. She ran quite fast, even running at high speeds to where she quickly passed by two pink-haired girls who were about to slyly steal cakes from a concession stand that an owner's young daughter was managing, and Risa's speed made those two girls spin around rapidly to where they comically became extremely dizzy.

Risa continued to run, and she eventually reached the house. She turned around for a moment to see the sun setting over Parmanie, the orange sky making the town be bathed in its orange glow to signify that the evening hours of the day were now occurring, and Risa liked how she got to have fun with shopping at sunset. She hoped to have fun with enjoying other activities at sunset in the future, and Risa felt happy that she would get to tell Sara about her experience with shopping all by herself. She knocked on the door two times, before Sara unlocked it with a kind smile on her face, and the lights weren't on in the house.

Risa viewed that to be odd, and she simply watched Sara run to the dining room without even asking her if she had a good time with shopping. That made Risa start to look worried, as she wondered if Sara was grieving over her daughter's death again, and she held her shopping bag with both hands while walking into the house. Risa used one hand to shut the door behind her, and she locked it. Afterwards, Risa took off her red high-heeled shoes and went to the dining area of the house. When she arrived at the dining table, Risa could only see Sara's silhouette as she illuminated the room with pink flames on her fingertips to light nine candles that were on a sweet dessert. Upon hearing Risa take one step towards the dining table, Sara quickly turned on the light for the young girl to be surprised enough to gently drop the bag.

"Happy birthday, Risa! Happy ninth birthday!" Sara exclaimed to her with a delighted smile on her face, before giggling.

Risa replied with a happy smile on her face, as small tears welled up in her eyes, "Thank you, Sara! I just remembered that today's my birthday, but I'm glad that you knew and wanted to surprise me!"

"You're welcome, Risa! Also, I'm glad that you went shopping by yourself and nothing bad happened. Miss Cordelia wondered where you were when she dropped off a pie to me earlier, but we can eat that pie tomorrow. I just wanted to surprise you with this cake today, and we can even have tons of sushi and rice balls for dinner!" Sara responded to her while smiling joyfully, before hugging Risa.

Risa responded while looking very happy, hugging Sara and seeing that she wore a magenta tank top with a medium-length fuchsia skirt to match, "The cake looks great, Sara! Also, that dinner will totally be great for us!"

The cake that Sara made for Risa was a three-layered cake with three candles on each layer while each part of the cake consisted of a different type of chocolate, and the delicious smell of the cake made Risa feel very happy that she would get to eat it soon. Sara ended the hug with her, and she watched Risa sit in her favorite chair that had the pink cushion on it. Upon seeing how the chocolate cake was in light and dark shades of the brown with the highest layer being a more tan shade of brown, Risa's eyes lit up with excitement.

She watched Sara move her hands around in a psychic manner, before a large slice of the chocolate cake started to be removed from the whole dessert, and Sara proceeded to just place that cake on a pink plate that was next to Risa. Sara did the same thing for her own slice of cake while a pink aura engulfed her hands, and her slice of cake was on the other plate. As Risa looked up at Sara with admiration in her eyes, she soon glanced at Sara's hands to see that they had some bruises on them. It seemed like Sara hadn't healed her hands yet, and she probably injured them from spending several hours with the task of baking the cake.

As Risa chose to look concerned for only a single moment before getting her plate of cake to not make Sara be worried, she thought about how Sara didn't need to be the only strong mage in this house. Risa wanted to become much stronger, as that would help her protect Sara like how Sara had been protecting her for a few months now, and Risa was going to improve her skills to where no one would ever harm a kind woman like Sara. In fact, Risa cared about her to where she fired a thin pink beam at Sara's left hand before she picked up her chopsticks. As Sara happily smiled at Risa, the young girl vowed to get much stronger for her master.

Three months later...

After another day of training, Risa went back home with Sara to simply rest before they would eat some delicious sushi for lunch. Risa decided to not rest in her room, however, and she still wanted to get stronger. She walked into the living room, which had a hot pink couch in front of a bubblegum pink coffee table while the circular rug was in a fuchsia pink color, and Risa took notice of a bookcase in a regular shade of pink that was close to the pink-bricked fireplace where small logs of wood were slowly burning. Risa decided that it would be a good idea to see if one of Risa's books could help her with strengthening her Psychic Magic to the level of an S-Class mage, but letting her pink flat shoes lightly step on the visible parts of three different floorboards on the strawberry pink floor caused the pink bookcase to quietly slide to the left.

The sliding bookcase revealed a staircase with dark pink steps going downward, and Risa looked quite surprised to discover this new area of the house. She felt curious enough to go downstairs to see what was in the dark room, and the fact that many pink items were in this room allowed Risa to actually have some light in the darkness of what was supposedly the basement. Risa walked down the small staircase to see a magenta pink book on a hot pink desk while other magenta books were on the other pieces of furniture, and seeing this fancy shade of pink for a book made Risa's heart palpitate with excitement.

She nervously gulped, before sitting down in the light pink chair that was heart-shaped, and Risa opened the magenta book to one of the first pages. Risa got to see thin beams of magenta pink Psychic Magic emerge from this book, and she soon noticed how the words in the book appeared to be in a foreign language. Risa found herself unable to read the words that were written in light pink text, but her eyes widened in shock from being able to read the magenta pink lines of text. Despite never seeing the language before, Risa mouthed out the word "Hex" perfectly as she read the words written in the magenta color.

The first line of magenta words informed Risa that one of the spells was known as Psychic Magenta Hexing Flames, and Risa started to read about how the spell instructed her to just create a magenta orb in her right hand. Risa attempted to build up a little bit of power, focusing on this spell while keeping her mind attentive of the magenta color, and Risa started to build up a tiny amount of magenta-colored magic in the center of her right hand. However, the moment that Risa saw the power get created was the same moment where someone else's psychic power made it quickly get blown away.

"Risa, what do you think you're doing?! Why are you trying to read that?!" Sara asked her with a stern look on her face, as she walked down to the bottom step of the staircase.

Risa replied with an anxious look on her face while turning to face Sara in a startled manner, unknowingly putting her right hand on the magenta text to trigger something, "I'm sorry, Sara! If this is a basement, then I discovered it today! The magenta magic that you talked about seemed so cool, and I can read the words in magenta to where-"

Sara exclaimed while looking worried, as she ran to Risa and gently put a hand over her mouth, "Risa, don't you dare tell me that you can read the magenta-colored spells!"

Risa responded with some tears welling up in her eyes, expecting to get slapped, "I'm really sorry, Sara. I just... I want to be as great as you! You're someone who I've always looked up to..."

Upon hearing that Risa looked up to her to where she even wanted to read the magenta-colored text at such a young age, Sara's facial expression changed from being one that showed disapproval to one that showed a slight amount of happiness. Risa wanted to be like her to the point where going great lengths to do that wouldn't be an issue, but Sara would be glad to remind her of the dangers that involved this shade of Psychic Magic. Risa couldn't show it to anyone in Parmanie, and she also couldn't tell anyone that she could wield it.

However, that didn't mean Sara couldn't teach Risa to read the magenta language. Teaching her to get fluent in the language while also making sure that she paid attention to the instructions was crucial, as Risa would probably be in a situation someday where this magic was going to be important for defeating an enemy, and Sara would gladly read it with her. She gently took Risa's hand off of the magenta text while not paying any mind to the magenta aura that was now seeping down into Risa's palm, and Sara turned a few pages to let Risa see lower-level spells.

There may not have been pictures in this particular book, but Risa found herself being able to silently read the text with Sara reading it aloud to her. As Sara was reading the text, Risa took notice of the magenta pink words that were on these two pages. She started to envision the spells in her mind, as the magenta text was actually quite descriptive of how each spell looked, and Risa smiled nicely from seeing some awesome spells on these two pages. She turned to smile at Sara, who was simply pointing out which symbols corresponded to certain words, and Risa felt glad that she wanted to learn this language while being beside such a great teacher. Risa continued to look down at the book with Sara, only to see her mint green sunglasses fall to where they were slightly below Risa's eyes, and taking them off for a moment made Risa feel a bit curious.

"Excuse me, Sara. If you don't mind me saying this... I... I want to try on your sunglasses! Please?" Risa sweetly told Sara, before happily asking to wear them.

Sara looked up from the book to give Risa a sarcastic frown, as she gently touched the frames of her sunglasses, "Risa, you want to try on my sunglasses? A girl doesn't just try on clothes or accessories, Risa. A great girl and a great mage desires to have the perfect outfits or perfect pair of sunglasses that will look beautiful when she's wearing them, and you really need to get yourself a very high desire to wear these sunglasses. You wanting to just try them on tells me that you don't see them as being perfect for you, Risa, so don't make yourself unfashionable."

"Sara, why do you make sarcastic comments from time to time?" Risa asked her with a curious facial expression, as she found that to be odd.

Sara explained to Risa in a calm tone, after lightly sighing, "Risa, it's called being snarky. You'll find out that being snarky can be pretty good for you, and some people find it very funny to make sarcastic comments."

Risa decided to just laugh at the sarcastic remark that Sara had made towards her, as she did think that Sara's sarcastic frown and her raised eyebrows looked amusing, and she would definitely work towards improving her desire to wear those sunglasses. In order for a fashion accessory to be perfect, Risa had to believe that those sunglasses were perfect for her to wear. She definitely needed to start thinking about how to tell Sara that those sunglasses were like the ultimate symbol for a good fashion accessory, since Risa started to briefly think about how they would match the light pink blouse that she wore with a white miniskirt, but Risa would have to work on expressing her desire to wear the sunglasses later.

She turned her attention back to the magenta text in the book, turning another page to see another spell while the text under it had a small note about how this particular spell could become an advanced technique, and Risa looked very curious about it. Apparently, the advanced attack was a spell known as Shadowy Psychic's Psychokinetic Magenta Scream while it was a much more powerful version of a spell called Roaring Magenta. Risa felt excited about learning a spell that was on an advanced level, but the magenta text claimed that a Shadow Dragon Slayer needed to assist the psychic with their magic.

Risa wondered if she would ever encounter that type of dragon slayer, since she imagined them to be very awesome, and she continued to read about the magenta magic. Risa gently placed a finger under the text where Sara was reading, focusing her mind to read the text, and the fact that she could understand it made Risa softly gasp in shock. Risa was reading the words in the magenta color, starting to easily understand them like how Sara could read the language, and Risa would definitely study hard with learning this language to allow herself to learn all the crucial pieces of info regarding this shade of Psychic Magic.

Later that night, at different times of the night...

Even though Sara went out of the basement to prepare some spicy sushi rolls in the kitchen for dinner, Risa stayed in the basement to keep reading the book on this amazing shade of magic. Risa allowed her mind to take in the information about certain spells, especially the ones that were high-level attacks for the most powerful psychics to wield, and she did her best to visualize every spell in her mind. Of course, having many spells wouldn't matter if Risa didn't have enough magical power to use them. Based on how hard she had been training at her young age, she could only create a low-level spell of the magenta magic.

That wouldn't really help Risa with winning any battles when she became a mage, so she would definitely have to work quite hard to eventually become a great master of this type of Psychic Magic. Risa's eyes twinkled with delight from seeing several amazing spells, such as a magenta variant of an orb that twisted other spells, and she even liked how some magenta spells could bend space itself. Risa wondered about how it could be possible for psychics to bend space so easily, since the people who created these books were writing about how they extensively studied the mind's ability to distort space.

Risa only had standard abilities of Psychic Magic right now while she couldn't bend space to her liking, and she would definitely have to train harder to eventually have that ability. For now, though, Risa would focus on trying to master lesser psychic abilities such as being able to move objects with her mind. She turned a page to see a spell focusing on that area of Psychic Magic, but Risa did start to look surprised at how the magenta text revealed that a mage had to learn a spell called Stellar Psi before moving on to advanced spells of levitation.

Risa had seen Sara use Stellar Psi, which was a spell that could require a mage to sometimes create an aura in a regular shade of pink for them to move objects in a psychic manner, and she would ask Sara to teach it to her. However, all the info in the magenta book made Risa start to look very curious at how there were other magenta-colored books on Psychic Magic in this basement. Sara was an amazing teacher by having so many great books here for Risa to read while she would try to master as much Psychic Magic as possible, and Risa also liked how Sara also proved to be a great mother.

"Risa, it's time for dinner! The spicy sushi rolls are on the table!" Sara shouted down to Risa, as she loudly placed the plates on the dining table.

Risa replied with a nice smile on her face, as she got up from the chair to go back upstairs, "All right, Sara! I'm coming!"

"Also, I made them be extra spicy because you'll eventually learn about the pink flames soon!" Sara responded to her in a delighted tone, as Risa heard her gently pull out a chair.

Risa told Sara with a pleased facial expression, as she quickly reached the living room and ran into the kitchen, "Thank you so much, Sara! Spicy food may be hot, but you're always so cool!"

After Risa went into the kitchen to wash her hands, she sat down next to Sara to eat some sushi rolls. Risa picked up a few of them with her chopsticks, before shoving them into her mouth, and she comically looked surprised at how they were incredibly hot. Risa noticed the scarlet red spice that was drenched over the sushi rolls while the spice was quite intense to where it made tears slightly well up in her eyes, but the delicious taste of the sushi rolls prompted her to hastily eat them. She enjoyed their delicious taste, along with the spice-covered rice that was also a side dish.

Sara had always been such a great chef, and Risa always loved eating meals with her new mother. Sara had even made vanilla-flavored pancakes for Risa to enjoy earlier this morning, viewing those sweet pancakes as one of the best recipes from her hometown, and Risa enjoyed eating the large stack of pancakes. The fact that Sara had been feeding her for months now made Risa feel so very happy and grateful, smiling at Sara as she felt very thankful towards her for allowing her to have a better life, and Risa hoped that they could be together forever.

As Risa happily ate the rest of her sushi rolls, Sara slowly ate her food while turning to give Risa a gentle smile. Sara enjoyed having Risa live with her, as she was proving to be such an amazing and sweet daughter who helped Sara no longer have to go through life with feelings of pain, but Sara started to have a small frown on her face from realizing something. Even if Sara tried to hide the fact that she was illegally learning stronger Psychic Magic than the royals of Parmanie Town, people would eventually find out. Even if Risa helped her keep the secret for ten years or for fifty years, Sara would still logically have to face consequences. Still, she wouldn't want Risa to get hurt.

"Listen, Risa. If anything bad ever happens to me, then I want you to run away from Parmanie. Run away as fast as you can." Sara told Risa with a worried look on her face, thinking about the future.

Risa replied with a concerned facial expression, before glancing at one of Sara's hands that rested near the magenta halter top matching her bubblegum pink skirt, "I could run, Sara, but I'd be all alone again with nowhere to go. If you're talking about possibly getting caught for using the magenta magic, then I wouldn't tell anyone. Although, Sara, I'd be scared to see what they'd do to you for being stronger than the royals."

"I'd be more scared over what they'd do to you, Risa. If I was dead, then they could force you to reveal everything you know about that magic or you'd be executed for disrespecting the royals. Honestly, dying as a child would be horrible." Sara explained to Risa while still looking worried, as she turned for them to lock eyes with each other.

Sara added with a small smile on her face, as she realized one nice thing, "Risa, you won't be all alone for the rest of your life. Even if I pass away someday, you will find genuine friends who care about you."

Risa looked more concerned while she didn't want to lose Sara, and those feelings even remained with her when she was going to sleep. Risa didn't want to ever end up being separated from Sara, as she got to experience life with a loving mother who cared so deeply for her, and the fact that they weren't biologically related meant nothing to Risa. She wanted to be strong enough to protect Sara, desiring to protect her to where they would hopefully be together forever, and Risa refused to let her best bond with someone ever be broken.

If Sara ever died, then Risa felt like she would have no one else left in the world to help her become a strong person. Even though Sara told Risa that she would eventually find friends who genuinely wanted to be around her, Risa started to wonder if that was actually true. She had hardly been outside the town of Parmanie, never even once going up the mountain trail to check out the town that shared a forest with the people of Parmanie, and Risa had heard some conversations between people who talked about how that place called Yamabuki was filled with religious fanatics.

Risa doubted that she could find any friends from a place like that, since not sharing their beliefs would probably result in them killing her, and she simply closed her eyes to start drifting off to sleep. Risa was quickly awakened by the feeling of Psychic Magic accidentally being applied to her forehead by her right hand, though, and Risa began to see a glimpse of some kind of daydream that involved a green-haired girl running and crying. Risa felt curious about what that meant, and she couldn't sleep. She wouldn't look up any other spells of Psychic Magic, though, and Risa proceeded to walk out of her room to go sleep in the same bed as Sara tonight. Risa wanted to sleep beside Sara, like a small child sleeping with her sweet mother, and Risa silently promised herself that she would do anything to help Sara while looking determined to make both of their lives continue to be filled with happiness.

How was Chapter 27? Feel free to tell me your thoughts on it. This part of the arc is still mostly told in flashbacks at different times to show different aspects of the bond that Risa shared with Sara in the past, as well as showing the magenta shade of Psychic Magic when Risa first learned about its spells. Also, that particular shade of magic made Risa have that brief vision at the end from how a very tiny amount of magenta magic was released from her palm during that moment. The amount of magic power was too small for anyone to sense it, however. Even though Sara is teaching Risa how to read the language for those spells and also making sure that they keep the magic hidden from others, the discovery that leads to Sara's death won't start off cliched with someone stupidly revealing it. In fact, there's one part of Sara's past that she couldn't hide from the Magic Council's officials who were affiliated with the royals. How did Sara die? You'll see. Also, this is the sixth part of the Fuchsia Psychic Arc! I'll unfortunately have to put this story on hiatus, due to school, but I'll probably come back to it when I have time for writing again.
