The Dark Journey
Prologue
The rain was coming down hard; there was a flash of lightning. Out of no where a dark figure was standing there. Despite the rain he wasn't wet at all. There was a strong aura all around him. "This is going to be fun" he said, he jumped into the trees and was gone.
Chapter 1
Yumi was sleeping in the grass under the shade of a tall oak tree. All of the sudden there was a loud crash that woke her up. She stood up and looked around. She noticed that there was a large hole in the roof of a near by house, and flying through the air was her brother Katsu. He landed right in the middle of the oak tree.
"Could I get little help?" he called out
"No. Get out yourself!"
"Come on sis, please"
"Why is it that every time we come here you get into a fight?"
"Maybe it's because people here don't like me? We both know that."
Then he jumped up and out of the tree down next to his sister. He was tall with green hair and dressed in all green. Around his waist was a belt that was too big for him and on it was a metal plaque with the symbol of the village hidden in the sand on it. His sister was medium sized, dressed in all blue, and had blue hair. On her arm near her shoulder was a band with a similar plaque to Katsu's. As soon as he landed she punched him straight in the gut. "You're an idiot." She said calmly.
Rokuro was lying in the sand drenched and tiered. He heard only the rushing of waves. He tried to stand but there was a sharp pain in his leg. He looked down at it and saw that there were two kunai stuck deep inside his leg. He grabbed the first kunai and ripped it out then took the second and did the same. He then ripped off part of his sleeve to use as a bandage. He wrapped it around his wounded leg and stood up. There was still pain but it wasn't as bad. He began to limp to find a healer.
Yumi and her brother, Katsu had started their journey home. They had been on a long mission and it was a hard one. They were told to travel to the village hidden in the leaves to seek out the great master Nobu Yori Ryu and assassinate him. When they got there they found that he had been waiting for them. In the end they lost and he got away. This was going to be bad their master wasn't going to be happy. Even though they were the best genins in their class they would still be punished, and would not be allowed to take any major missions for a while.
He had been walking for hours before he saw the first light. It was dim and far off but at least he knew where to go. He decided to stop and set up camp for the night. As soon as he laid his head down he fell asleep. He was exhausted. He woke up to the bright light of the sun. He stood up and packed up his camp. He put out the fire and went on his way.
When Katsu and Yumi had made it back to their village many people rejoiced for their long awaited return. The two siblings didn't say a word to anyone. They went straight to their master. "Forgive us master we have failed." They said.
"No my students you have done better than I expected."
