"Clark, really, Ι have no idea." Lois said as she walked out of a crowded subway exit to the street.

The night before when they had flown back to Metropolis from Smallville they slept apart on the perspective apartments despite Lois' constant insistence for Clark to spend the night at her place. Clark just kissed her goodnight with the promise that he would be at her apartment to pick her up at 7 in the morning and drive to work together. A huge grin spread across Lois' face when Clark knocked at the door of her apartment at seven a.m. sharp. She was happy that he hadn't stood her up for one more time but she didn't want him to neglect his duties as Superman for her either. Every rescue he made, every natural disaster he prevented was important.

Clark, whose hands were shoved deep into the pockets of his dress pants, followed Lois not far behind. "I'm just telling you what I had seen and read on it." he told Lois and took a few quick steps to catch up and walk next to her. Instead of driving together at the Planet they decided to walk there, even if it meant to take the subway. "It was your handwriting on a Birthday card envelope in your briefcase."

Lois untucked the copy of the Daily Planet's morning edition and stopped walking to look Clark in the eye. "You are telling me that I wrote on Perry's Birthday Card envelope that you are…" she paused the moment a couple passed them by. "Superman." silently mouthed afterwards. "Don't you think I would remember that?" she addressed Clark. "But one the other hand…" she trailed off when she remembered something.

"But on the other hand what?" Clark questioned confused.

Lois grabbed Clark and they began to walk to walk together. "That day on Perry's birthday after you grabbed that Birthday card envelope through my hands, the thought of you being…" she trailed off. "you-know-who…" she dropped her voice to a whisper. "…crossed my mind."

"That's why you were staring at me so intensely?" Clark questioned.

"Yes." Lois nodded. "And although I had kinda suspected it a year ago when I was under the influence of pheromones I completely ignored it." she explained. "It seemed to me so…"

"Ridiculous?" Clark offered.

"I'd have said impossible." Lois replied instead as they reached the Planet's entrance. "Because people see what they want to see." she added, echoing her statement from earlier that year. "But whatever, Perry's birthday party was very weird anyway." she commented as she and Clark entered the revolving doors of the Planet.

Clark just nodded. They both had a nagging sense of déjà vu that day. He didn't know why but for a strange reason, he had thought the conversation between him and Lois about Perry's birthday present that morning had happened before. Clark mentally shook his head as he and Lois crossed the lobby towards the elevator. It was just their imagination. They were still were emotionally affected by Mayson's death, especially him and their minds might have played tricks on them.

"However, I gotta tell you." Lois stopped in front of the elevator and pressed the call button for the car. "I'm glad you told me by yourself that you are…" she trailed off once more and turned to look at Clark. "Who you are." she made the flying motion when she made sure no one was watching them. "Because honestly, Clark if I had figured it out by myself, I would have decapitated you without the use of Kryptonite." she mouthed the last word and swatted lightly Clark on the chest with the newspaper.

"Duly noted for future compliancy." Clark joked.

Lois rolled her eyes at Clark in annoyance but then she smiled at him. She had to admit she secretly loved these kinds of remarks.

"Speaking of Kryptonite." Clark began as the ding of the elevator announced its arrival. "We won't be able to have lunch together today." he went on.

The doors opened and several people stepped off before he and Lois stepped into the elevator. "Superman has his annual check-up." he explained and pulled his hand out the pocket of his pants to reach over and press the button for the newsroom floor.

"Still, I can't understand why Superman has to schedule an annual check-up." Lois commented evidently confused. She watched silently as the doors closed and then launched herself at Clark kissing him hard. "Oh Clark, how are we going to get through the day?" she sighed after they broke off the kiss.

"I don't know." Clark responded and immediately crashed his lips against hers.

"I missed you." Lois mumbled in between kisses as she brazenly rubbed herself against Clark's body and shook with lust.

"I missed you too." Clark said back and kissed her fervently, before he broke off the kiss and slid his lips down her cheek, her jaw, to her neck.

"You should have spent the night at my apartment." Lois complained.

"Huh, huh." Clark nodded and kissed her wildly.

If there had been air in her lungs, Lois wouldn't have known what to do with it. Her head was spinning wilder than a whirlpool, knocking every last puff of breath from her body. Lois strained to see the elevator indicator light and pulled the emergency stop.

"Lois!" Clark gaped at her in surprise, "What are you doing?"

"Nothing." Lois responded and threw the newspaper and her purse on the elevator floor. "You are going to do something." she moved hands to the front of his pants."Or I won't be able to keep myself sane for the rest of the day." she continued in frenzy and began to undo his belt and unzip his pants.

"Lois, stop!" Clark warned. "I'm wearing the suit!"

"I don't care." Lois mumbled as she untied his tie.

Unable to resist anymore, Clark pushed Lois up against the elevator wall.

"Clark!" Lois screamed in surprise.

Clark kissed Lois fiercely and pressed himself against her more, with his left hand resting on the back of her waist. He couldn't fight the urge to intertwine his fingers with her hair; he couldn't fight the need to do something more than making out with her.

Lois let a shaky breath the moment Clark's lips parted from hers and wrapped one of her legs round Clark's hip. She could feel the skin of her jaw line burning on the places where Clark had trailed his lips. She was so lost, so hypnotized that she hadn't realized that Clark cupped one of her breasts, under her shirt with his left hand. She hadn't realized that Clark's right hand had stopped playing with her hair and went up beneath her skirt and under her panties. She hadn't realized that-

"Oh my God." Although Clark's action caught her unprepared, she didn't scream. She only gasped as his middle finger pressed against her. She was feeling her nerves pulsating as he was thrusting it in and out slowly unable to her to maintain her sanity. His touch and the intimacy she had with him made her feel as if she were in Heaven. "Oh Christ!" she screamed in a tiny cry. She loved the way Clark curled his finger into her as she bought her little closer to edge.

"Shh." Clark cooed and wrapped his left arm around her petite form. "I don't think you want them hear us, do you?" He wasn't afraid of that they would be perceptible by their colleagues. He wanted her to be quite so her orgasm would be sped. There was no more beautiful site for Clark than Lois coming hard for him silently. There was no better feeling for him than having his fingers into her core, her heat radiating through her.

"Ugh, ugh." Lois shook her head from side to side.

"Shh." Clark repeated and stuck his finger deeper into Lois' core. 'Sweet Heaven.' he thought. He loved the feeling of her hot moisture engulf his fingers, he loved the way her juices felt viscid on his fingertips.

Clark slid a second finger inside her and pressed his thumb on her clit with Lois jolting into his hug. His touches and thrusts were so intense that made her dig her nails to his shoulders. She had to throw her head forward sinking her teeth into the fabric of Clark's jacket, so she would not scream, so it would not be known all over the building, how Clark made her erupt in pleasure that moment. Lois tilted her hips against Clark's hand. She wanted desperately her release, that's why she set up a slow, steady, but sharp rhythm against his fingers.

Clark couldn't help but synchronize on the act that his girlfriend desired burying his fingers deeper and deeper into her entrance. He sensed Lois' huffs against his neck with every stroke he gave into her core, just like he felt her come around his fingers.

Few moments afterwards, Lois threw her head back in pleasure riding completely out her orgasm, before burying her face against Clark's neck once more. "Don't you dare not come at my apartment tonight." Lois warned in a deadly threatening voice.

Clark chuckled against her hair, sending delightful shivers down her back. "You can count on that." he assured. "But look what you have done to me now." he pointed at the bulge in his pants. "What am I going to do with you now?" he questioned and began to tie his tie.

With a satisfied grin on her face Lois unwrapped her leg around Clark and moved out of his embrace. "Come tonight at my place." she zipped his pants and did his belt. "And you will see." she whispered seductively and removed the emergency stop, grabbing her purse from the elevator floor afterwards.

Clark chuckled to himself and grabbed the newspaper from the floor.

The elevator began to move again only to come to a stop seconds later when it arrived on the newsroom floor. They both stepped out flushed and rumpled the moment the doors opened but stood apart, trying to act as decorous and professional as they could. The last thing they wanted was another situation where Lois became the topic of the Planet's gossip.

"Well, well, well, look who's here." Perry said with a tease while Lois and Clark were coming down the ramp. "The happy couple." he announced happily.

"How did you...?"

"Lois, honey, how many times do I have to tell you that I didn't become editor of a major metropolitan newspaper because I can yodel?" Perry told her with a genuine smile and Lois smiled with a blush. "It's written all over your faces." he explained. "I want to tell you that I'm happy for both of you." he told excitedly.

"Thanks Chief." Clark thanked a little awkward. "It means a lot." It was obvious how uncomfortable Clark and Lois felt by Perry's words. They just hoped their relationship would not go around the Daily Planet Grapevine. Sure, the whole building knew that they had dated a few times and there was tension between them because of Scardino, but nothing more. Now they were in a real relationship and they didn't want to give the gossip hounds even more to talk about. Not for now.

"I'm sure it does." Perry said with certainty. "But do me favor, would you?" he pointed to both Lois and Clark cross-crossing his hands between the two of them to emphasize the exchange. "Keep it out of the newsroom." he requested.

"Chief, I think Clark and I are professional enough to behave, uh, professionally." Lois assured and her mind went immediately back to the 'strict professional' encounter between her and Clark in the elevator few moments earlier, while Clark adjusted his glasses nervously at the memory.

"I would count on that." Perry replied and walked away.

"Wow! That was a little awkward." Clark stated andthrew the newspaper down on Lois' desk, before he sat on the edge of it.

"That was a lot of awkward." Lois commented and set her purse on the desk as she sat on her chair. "I'm glad that he knows though." she chuckled lightly. "As long as he doesn't say it all over the Planet." she pointed out. "For now." she clarified.

"I agree."Clark smiled at her when suddenly he looked up.

As Clark's face hazed over with that faraway look he often got, Lois knew instantly what was going on.

"Bank alarm." Clark answer Lois' unspoken question as he glanced back down at her apologetic.

"Go." Lois encouraged and tugged Clark's tie with a smile. "Be the hero I know that you are and I never cease to admire." she whispered and loosened his tie for him. "But just make sure you come back to me." she requested and gave Clark a push in the direction of the storage room. "Love you." she mouthed silently. She barely kept herself from kissing him in front of the whole newsroom. Knowing that he was Superman and faced danger all the time made her want to kiss him desperately but she couldn't spread the word of their relationship through the Planet. Not just yet.

"Love you back." Clark mouthed back with a wink and ran toward the storage room.

Lois let out a sigh and leaned further against her chair when she saw Clark to disappear in the storage room. A sonic boom was heard that rattled the large windows of the Planet's newsroom. Lois swiveled her chair from her desk and stared out of them at the sky remembering when Clark in his debut as Superman flew in the newsroom with her and deposited her by her desk. It had been only two years since then, yet it felt like a lifetime ago. Lois swiveled her chair back toward the desk and booted her computer up, checking her emails, her notes for her next article and whatever else she could think of that it could distract her by her thoughts. What if the robbers during that bank robbery had a piece of Kryptonite them that it could hurt Clark? Lex, Arianna Carlin and Diana Stride had managed to find Kryptonite and used it against Superman. What if there were more pieces of that rock out there and they had fallen into the wrong hands? Lois shook her head and instantly pushed those thoughts away of her mind. She thumbed through her rolodex of phone numbers and addresses which was beside her keyboard and stopped when she found what she was looking for. She and her friend Molly from the collage hadn't spoken for about a month and they had a lot to catch up on.

"Hello?" Lois said few moments later after she dialed the number. "Molly? Hi. It's been over a month since we last talked." she went on. "Yea, it was a crazy month for me too." she said a few beats later. "We can maybe grab lunch today if you'd like?" she asked and a smile crept across her face upon hearing Molly's response on the phone.

"Lois!" Molly called out and waved at Lois from a table.

"Molly!" Lois beamed and waved back at Molly as she approached the table that her friend was sitting.

Molly stood up and hugged Lois tightly. I'm so glad to see you." she admitted as she pulled away and sat back in her seat. "Even if I wasn't your first choice." she glanced at her with feigned insultas she placed a napkin on her lap. Lois had told her over the phone that it was a good for them to meet that day as Clark was pretty busy.

"Hey!" Lois protested as she took a seat across from Molly. "The last one month and a half has been a bit crazy." she defended as she placed her own napkin on her lap.

"I'm just teasing you, Lois." Molly laughed. "I know what you have been through." the tone of her voice turned serious. She and Lois hadn't talked for 7 weeks but she was aware of her friend's status through the stories she had written for the Planet.

Lois smiled slightly. "I was taken aback when you asked me for us to meet here." she admitted softly as she scanned at the menu. "Especially since you are vegetarian" she commented. "And you also have a cell phone." she added surprised, upon seeing the device next to Molly's plate after she set the menu down on the table.

"Well, Lois I have to say you were right." Molly responded. "I shouldn't have been against technology. I should have been against people like Ryan."

"Molly, about Ryan." Lois began cautiously, how she would address the topic. "How are you holding up?" she asked concerned.

Molly gave a sad smile. "Why don't we just order first and then talk?" she suggested.

"Sure." Lois forced a smile and picked up the menu again to look it over.

"You did WHAT?" Lois asked in astonishment almost spilling her cream soda all over her shirt.

"You heard what I said." Molly responded with a laugh. "I visited him to Leavenworth, told him what kind of bastard and son of a bitch he was and left." she went on with a victorious smile and took a bite of her beef fillet.

"Wow..." Lois murmured astonished. A lot of things had changed the last couple of weeks. Molly had returned back to her old self. She was not the vegan anti-technology queen, she had met after Ryan's supposedly death. She was again her best friend, the happy and intelligent girl she had hung out with in college.

"I gotta tell you, Lois." Molly went on. "Seeing Ryan and telling him those things felt like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders." she confessed. "Dr Friskin made me realize that I had to come to terms with what I had done, and that I had to face him."

Lois remained silent as she took a sip of her refreshment. She wondered if she had to do the same thing with Lex. If she had to visit him in prison and confront him, to tell him what she really felt about him, so she would leave that part of her life behind. Lois that moment had silently made her decision. If she wanted to find peace she had to come face to face with Lex Luthor for one last time.

"I have to thank you for introducing me Dr. Friskin." Molly thanked Lois with an appreciative smile. "She's a helluva therapist."

"Don't mention at all." Lois said with a light tone. "She's my therapist too." she went on casually.

"Lois Lane has a therapist?" Molly said with a laugh.

"Well." Lois began hesitantly as looked down at her plate. "I had some personal issues I which I needed to sort out and Dr. Friskin helped me to make my decisions." she shrugged and dug her fork aimlessly around through the noodles. Lois told Molly everything about the turbulence in her personal life without omitting anything of the events that happened during those seven weeks they hadn't talked to each other, well besides the fact that Clark was Superman of course. Lois was surprised with herself that she could talk so easily to someone else, to reveal her deepest secrets and feelings.

"Wow!" Molly exclaimed in disbelief. "I mean really wow! So you and Clark…"

"Aha." Lois nodded lightly.

"Lois, really I can't help but ask." Molly set her plate aside. "It's obvious that Clark is pretty hot guy, but, well, is he a good kisser?" she asked and leaned forward on the table. "Is he good in bed?" she went on barely than a whisper.

"Molly!" Lois exclaimed incredulously. "We have officially been dating for two days."

"Come on, Lois!" Molly encouraged.

"He's amazing kisser." Lois smiled shyly. "I mean every kiss we shared as a ruse for a story or during a stakeout those two years...it was just…"

"Made your toes curl?" Molly added. "Oh yea. I know that feeling." she agreed. "But still, you haven't answered my second question." she rested her chin on her fist in anticipation. "Come on, Lois! I know you had sex with him." she whisper-shouted. "I know that look. You had that look when I picked you up from the airport the night after you lost your virginity to that Irish guy." she went on in the same tone. "And later, when you had slept for the first time with that French guy."

Lois buried her face hands embarrassed. "That doesn't mean-"

"Yes, it does." Molly insisted. "Now spill!" she pushed. "How good is he on a scale from 1 to 10?" she asked. "5? 7? 9?"

"Molly!" Lois let out a muffled yell, then raised her head and looked at her friend blushed. "10. Definitely 10." she answered biting her lower lip. "10 plus. 10 with lots of plus." she confessed. Patrick and Claude jointly didn't able to accomplish even one-quarter of what Clark did in one time. Lois put her hand over her mouth as if to cover up what she had just said but she had to admit she felt relieved that she could talk to someone like that.

"Details?" Molly prompted. "Come on! I'm very curious now."

"Okay. The only thing I can tell you is that when I'm with him it's not just sex. It's something more. It's…He's so gentle and I feel peaceful, calm…complete. Safe in a way that I've never known."

"You really love him." Molly stated as she noticed Lois' dreamy look. "I'm really happy for you, Lois." she said taking a sip of her wine. "Clark's a great catch. See? You let go of that silly Superman crush and good things happen…"

Lois just nodded and took a bite of her lasagna silently. 'Oh Molly, if you only knew.' she thought.

It was afternoon and the sun beamed through the window of his prison cell. He laid still in his bed listening to the birds singing outside as he read his favorite play.

"'She's beautiful and therefore to be wooed; she is a woman, therefore to be won.''" he read the quote from the "Henry V" His mind went back to day where he had quoted that line to his worst enemy as he was lying in the floor in pain, when moments later he had promised to himself that he would never be in the situation he was that moment.

'Lex Luthor will not live in a cage!'

Lex Luthor stopped his reading and looked around at the one hundred square foot room, which was his home the last couple of months. Every frigid surface of the cell was made of stainless steel, and had been bolted to the walls, or floor. The toilet and sink were a single unit, which abutted the wall directly across from the cell door. The final section of his tiny cell was an open shower just to the left of the toilet. Lex Luthor, the former third richest man in the World, the former so-called 'Boss' and most powerful man of Metropolis had absolutely zero privacy. This was what he had to look forward to twenty four/seven, for the rest of his life. This was far worse than death. Luthor gripped his book in anger. He was determined to find a way out from there and seek revenge on the people who locked him up. Inspector Henderson, Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, that pilferer Jack, but most of all, his two nemesis; that hack from Smallville, Clark Kent and that alien freak, Superman. Lex dropped his head back and stared at ceiling. There was one more person that motivated him to get out there; Lois Lane and the love he had for her despite her statement that she didn't want him as part of her life anymore.

'I will not be denied. I'll give her the chance to come willingly. If she won't come, I'll take her by force.' he had said Nigel, his former so-called loyal servant before the middle aged Englishman double-crossed him. Lois Lane would be eventually his. No one and nothing would stand in his way. No one and nothing. The sound of footsteps outside his cell and a cell door open, dragged Lex out of his thoughts, bringing him back into reality. The guards spoke with harsh and loud tones, often yelling at each other more than the other prisoners. He focused back on his book when he heard sound of a key scraping in the lock of his cell door.

"Get up Luthor." One of the two guards said after the door opened.

Lex shut his book harshly and placed it on his nightstand next to his bed as he got to his feet.

"Hands front." the guard ordered and Lex obeyed wordlessly. "You have a visitor." the guard informed as he locked the chains on Lex's feet and hands.

Lex walked through the prison corridors puzzled, each guard holding one of his arms. So many months in prison and this was the first time he had a visitor. During all those months only books became his company as he avoided the interaction with his fellow inmates. Lex walked the last few feet to the door of a conference room uncertain who had scheduled a visit to see him. He had been prying his brain along away from his prison cell to the jail's conference room, but nothing had come to him. Everyone had abandoned him, everyone had betrayed him. Everyone, but Arianna. She had requested through her lawyer to visit him multiple times, but he refused to meet her. He was secretly amused that she turned the people of Metropolis against Superman and tried to kill him with a Kryptonite bullet but he was also was pretty enraged when he discovered that she had tried to frame Lois for the murder. Lex heard the door with steel bars in front of him to open with a loud hammering noise before he, and the guards that escorted him, made their way towards the steel panel that separated the corridor from the conference room.

"Your visitor probably has friends in high places, so they would be able to schedule a visit at such hour of the day, Luthor." the guard commented as he unlocked the steel panel.

A loud metallic rattling began to echo up and down the prison corridor as the door opened. Lex stepped into the dark and poor lit conference room where a female figure stood by the window. He tried to see the woman's face but the guards who escorted him, immediately forced him to sit in the chair at the conference table.

"Hello, Lex." Lois said smugly as she stepped into sight. She saw Lex in orange jumpsuit with the number C09121993 across his breast pocket. 'What an irony.' Lois thought. It was the date she had first met Lex in White Orchid Ball that it was hosted by him in the penthouse of Lex Towers. "Some of your hair has grown back, I see." she commented, folding her in front of her chest.

A slight smile broke Lex's grim expression. "Lois, radiant as always!" he complimented Lois, as the one guard knelt to chain the shackles to bolts in the floor while the other one locked him to the conference table.

"Save it for the rats, Lex." Lois snapped back as she sat across him.

"You have only five minutes, Miss." One of the guards informed.

"That would be more than enough. Thank you, Officers." Lois thanked.

Both guards nodded their appreciations as they exited the conference room.

"To what do we owe the pleasure?" Lex asked with a self-satisfied manner.

Lois stared at Lex wordlessly. He had so much evil in his eyes and obviously into his soul, considering what he had done to the people of Metropolis and the people she loved. How could she be so blind? How had she allowed to be so dazzled by Lex that she'd overlooked how much evil and corrupted soul he was? He was one of the few people she had trusted implicitly and in an instant, that trust had been stripped away, leaving her raw and vulnerable. How could he fool her like so spectacularly?

'Be careful with Lex. You don't know him like I do'

'You're afraid of the truth. And the truth is that Lex Luthor may be hiding from you what really happened at the Planet. I've been doing some digging and-'

'I know why you're doing this.'

You do, huh?'

'Yes. You told me your feelings, and you're hurt. I am sorry about that, Clark, but all of this is just sour grapes.'

'What if I find evidence?'

'You're talking about a man I trust... who has always been completely truthful with me.'

Clark knew all along who Lex Luthor really was and he had warned her multiple times, yet she preferred not to listen to him. How had she been fooled like that?

"Is something wrong my dear?" Lex asked confused.

"You know, it's funny." Lois said with a sad smile. "I'm looking at you right now and wonder how I didn't realize what kind of monster you were." she went on. "I will haunt you down, you son of a bitch!" she promised loudly. "I will haunt you down and I will bring all your racketeering crimes the Feds were unable to pin on you last year to light, including all your villainies, such as your attempted murders of Jack and Superman."

Lex laughed loudly "I see your superhero spilled the beans to momma." he scoffed. "Such a baby."

"You could never be him." Lois spat angrily. "The real power is not the money or social recognition. The real power It's something you'll never have but he always will have…. character." She missed a beat the moment she realized that she wasn't only about the alien hero but also Clark, her friend, her co-worker the man she loved. She felt a pang of fear creep in deep down to the pit of her stomach in the prospect of Lex finding out Clark's true identity. It was mistake to visit Lex in jail.

"Real inspiring, Lois." Lex said sarcastically. "I'm gonna cry." he went on with irony.

Lois leaned forward in her seat, resting her hands on the conference table. "I hope you rot in Hell." she wished with rage and stood to leave.

Lex tried to stand up but the chains restrained him back in the chair. "You and I are not over, Lois." he said through gritted teeth as he watched Lois to walk toward the door.

Lois stopped and turned to look at Lex. "We have already had." Lois replied with a smile. "A long time ago." she added and opened the door of the conference room, closing it few moments later behind her.

"You did WHAT?!" Clark asked obviously in shock by Lois' actions. "You went and visited Luthor in jail?" he went on in the same tone as he kept pacing back and forth across Lois' living room still in his Superman suit. He couldn't believe how much recklessly Lois behaved that day by visiting Luthor in jail. He and his mother should not have told her about Luthor. They both knew how much impulsive she was. Luthor had been one of the few people that Lois had trusted unquestioningly. He betrayed that trust and Lois wanted to confront him but it was foolish to visit him in jail.

"Okay I was wrong." Lois admitted as she sat lazily on the couch, her arms wrapped around her legs while her head was resting on the pillow of the couch. "It wasn't one of my brightest ideas and I realized it that." she went on and tilted her head forward so that she could look at him. "But I have to admit that I felt relieved like Molly did when she faced Ryan." she revealed. Molly was right. A huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders when she confronted Lex. He had betrayed her in the worst way she could imagine, and he was going to pay playing those games against her. She had admitted to Clark that it was mistake of visiting Lex but no one and nothing would stop her by exposing all his unpunished crimes in the future. She had promised that to Lex but mostly to herself.

"Ryan was a wacko who wanted to conquer the World with a killer defense satellite." Clark said loudly. "He wasn't Lex Luthor who has waged personal vendetta against Superman and Clark."

"First of all, stop talking about yourself as if you are another person." Lois requested. "It drives me crazy." she added. "Secondly, Lex didn't wage a vendetta against you but only to your alter ego." she explained. "He just didn't like…you."

"You are wrong." Clark argued with interjection. "He hates both Clark and Superman because they both knew who really was." he reasoned. "He just doesn't know that Superman and Clark Kent are one and the same." he added.

"Oh boy." Lois sighed, rubbing her face and eyes. "Here we go again with him talking about himself in third person." she murmured under her breath. "Will you please stop pacing up and down?" she asked loudly. "You are making me dizzy."

"Sorry." Clark said apologetically and swished his cape to the side so he could come and sit beside Lois on the couch.

"Now." Lois began running her hands over the tight blue spandex that hugged his pectorals. "Let us stop talking about Luthor." she requested. "What do you want us to talk about?" she questioned and ran her fingers through his hair as she looked at him in the eyes.

"Next Saturday will be my High School Reunion." Clark informed. "And I was wondering if you like to come with me." he suggested.

Lois threw herself into Clark's arms and kissed him passionately. "It will be my honor." she replied, genuine excitement pumping through her body.

"Good." Clark beamed but his expression quickly turned serious. "Lois there is one more thing we should discuss." he continued to speak, the tone of his voice, matching his look.

"Aha." Lois mumbled slowly, understanding the significance of the upcoming discussion.

Clark stood from the couch where he was sitting next to Lois. "You are wondering why Supe-me have an annual check." he began to say nervously as he walked up and down the room restless.

Lois nodded hesitantly at Clark's words. Now it made sense why Superman had a physician. Probably he had a latent Kryptonian disease that apparently activated by the frequent use of his powers or the years of exposure to the yellow sun. Could this disease be fatal for Clark and could she been contaminated by it? No, Clark would have never put her at risk. And then what if Clark's visits to that guy Dr. Klein had to do with Kryptonite? What if Clark's exposure to that venomous rock had caused problems to his health? If that was the case she would go back to the Metropolis Penitentiary to find Lex Luthor and squeeze the life out of him with her bare hands.

"Relax, Lois. I'm completely healthy." Clark assured as Lois cast him a quick and uncertain look. She seemed pretty upset and he was completely certain she had jumped to wrong conclusions already. Her heart rate had picked up in a way that always had every time her overactive imagination was working, concocting all kinds of situations that none of them made even the slightest bit of sense. Clark sat next to Lois again. "After what happened with Luthor and the Kryptonite cage, Dr. Klein's working on a radiation therapy, something like a vaccine."

Lois turned to look at Clark confused and concerned. "Vaccine?" she echoed.

Clark nodded. "If Dr. Klein can find a way to counteract both green's and red's Kryptonite effects, then they won't be a problem any longer." he explained.

"Can this vaccine…" Lois paused for a moment as swallowed a lump in her throat. "Kill you?" she asked, terrified of the answer but she needed to know.

"Well, Dr. Klein made some progress but the cure is still in the beginning stages. That was what Dr. Klein announced me today." he informed. "And don't worry; he will make sure the vaccine to be harmless." Clark replied simply.

"But we don't know for sure." Lois argued with fear, reading between the lines.

"Lois, honey." Clark called and cupped her cheek. "He didn't perfect the cure. I'm just informing you." he reasoned. "I just didn't want you to find it out at the last moment." he claimed. "No more secrets between us. And no more lies. From now own the truth is what you tell me and what I tell you; because that's the kind of relationship we have to have. Okay?"

Lois nodded lightly.

"Now, are we okay? Or to be more exact, are you okay?" he asked slightly.

Lois nodded resting her head on Clark's shoulder. "Yea." she responded with a sigh as she ran her hand against his chest, feeling the embroidery of the 'S' on her fingertips.

Clark looked down at Lois. "Do you want us to see a movie?" he questioned again and planted a kiss on Lois' forehead.

"Ugh, Ugh." Lois mumbled. "You know what I want." she murmured into his ear, her voice husky with lust and slipped her hands to the fasteners of Clark's cape, letting it fall to the ground. With a seductive smile, Lois stood up in front of the couch and untied the coral silk belt at her waist, letting the coral robe sensuously fall from her shoulders.

"Burgundy." Clark murmured the moment he saw the burgundy lacy nightgown that Lois wore underneath the robe. "I love burgundy on you." he commented as he stood from the couch and super-spun into Clark, wearing only black boxers and an open white shirt.

Lois took Clark's hand and led him through the dimly lit bedroom. "Mmm, I've been looking forward to this all day." she murmured as she pushed Clark's shirt off his shoulders. Her hands immediately started to wander all over his chest before they went down to fumble the waist band of his boxers.

Clark groaned softly as Lois pressed herself against him. "Me too." he said and gently set her on the bed, crawling on top of her.

"Clark." Lois moaned softly as he trailed kisses along her collarbone.

As the passion took them, they were so lost themselves in the lovemaking that they didn't even notice that they were floating under the covers, two feet above the mattress.

"I didn't expect you to see you here after our last meeting." The woman commented as she entered her office with two loose-leaf notebooks tucked under her arm. "I thought you heard my advice and did what you should have done." she went on as she closed the door and took a seat across from Lois.

"I did what I had to do." Lois defended with a proud smile as she turned her face so that she could take a better look at her interlocutor.

"Then, why are you here?" the woman questioned with a sigh, her tone of voice fillingthe room and its echoes.

Lois looked down at her hands on her lap slyly. "Okay, I admit it." she blurted out as looked at the woman across her. "I like talking to you." she confessed. "I like having a second opinion, an objective prospective about my life, I just…" she paused for a moment. "I just think I still need your help." she finished and lay on the therapist's couch.

Dr. Friskin gave out a satisfied chuckle, as she leaned back in her armchair. During her multi-year career they weren't many patients that came back on her asking for help once more, especially so perplexed people like Lois Lane. She had to admit it was quite an achievement of Lois' to come back to therapy. "So." Dr Friskin began as she re-adjusted her thick glasses and crossed her legs, tapping her pen on her notebooks. "You and Clark are a couple."

Lois sat up in the couch. "Yep." she replied in suppressed triumph.

Dr Friskin opened one of her notebooks and flipped through the pages. "You have made progress since our session, Lois." she said satisfied. "You are more open, happier." she observed. "You are glowing."

Lois looked over at Dr Friskin, a huge smile tugging up the corners of her lips. Was it so obvious to everyone that she had been bitten by the 'love bug'?

"Lois, tell me about you and Clark." Dr Friskin encouraged as she clicked her ballpoint pen.

"There is nothing to say." Lois responded simply. "You told me to follow my heart and I did." she added casually.

"And?" Dr Friskin asked, scribbling in her notebook.

"I went to his apartment and found him packing up his belongings" Lois added. "I went to tell him that I loved him, that I wanted to be with him and he…" she stood from the couch and began pacing back and forth in Dr. Friskin's office. "He…he was ready to slip out in the night and not even tell me." she yelled, her face red and swollen with rage. "Do you understand that?" she turned and looked at Dr. Friskin.

"I see." Dr. Friskin murmured as she kept taking notes. "And how did you feel about it?" she questioned, peering at Lois through her thick glasses.

Lois collapsed onto the couch stared at Dr. Friskin intensely. How did she fell about it? How did she feel when she realized that the man she loved more than a partner and a best friend was going to leave her without even saying goodbye? Did really Dr. Friskin ask that question? "Hurt." she replied. "I felt hurt." Hurt. Could this one word describe what she had felt that night she had gone to Clark's apartment and found it bare aside suitcases and boxes? Could this one word describe what she had felt that night when she almost lost Clark forever? For Lois, there was no way only this word to describe what she felt few nights ago. That moment in Dr Friskin's office she had felt all those things she experienced the night she almost lost Clark. She felt the ground slipping beneath her feet. She wanted to scream at God and shake her fist at the fates that had been so cruel. She felt an excruciating pain to rock through her as if her heart had been ripped from her chest. She was bloodless and felt nothing but utter hopelessness as the future yawned at her as black gaping hole in the universe, a void she could never fill. A shiver ran down Lois' spine. Did really Dr Friskin had to ask that question, bringing all those painful memories back?

"Have you two talked about that?" Dr. Friskin questioned further as she fidgeted with the pen in her hand.

"Not much." Lois admitted quietly and stood from the couch. "You see" she began and startedto pace around the room again. "I found out something about Clark that…" she trailed off and grabbed the picture of Dr. Friskin's family. "Dr. Friskin." Lois called as she placed that picture down on the desk and turned to look at Dr. Friskin. "Have you ever thought someone was exactly right for you, and then found out some..." she stopped for a moment to find a right word that could describe Clark's revelation. "Thing..." she said as she pointed her index finger at Dr Friskin. "You never knew about them that could just...wreck it all?" she went on asking as she walked back to the couch and sat down.

"I suppose you are talking about Clark being Superman?" Dr. Friskin inquired pointedly knowing very well that Lois was finally aware that Clark Kent and Superman were actually the same individual. Dr. Friskin clicked her ballpoint pen repeatedly. It was during the sessions with Superman when she stumbled on the truth about the man under Superman's suit. The first piece of the puzzle fell into place when she pondered Superman's response to her question of whether or not he had a girlfriend. His reply was coupled with Lois' discussion of her "complicated" relationship to Superman, where she also mentioned Dan Scardino. And Of course her co-worker Clark Kent who ran away all the time with lame excuses, which was the next piece of the puzzle fell into place. Superman mentioned only having one other rival and not two and bemoaned the fact that every time he tried to talk with Lois, he had to dash off and rescue somebody. Her suspicion was confirmed when she accidentally discovered an old copy of the Daily Planet in her office few days ago. The front page headline read

BATTLE OF THE TITANS.

Superheroes Fight To A Draw.

By Clark Kent

A photo of Clark accompanied his byline along with another one where Superman was fighting Resplendent Man.

That moment Dr Friskin felt as though the last piece of that complex puzzle had been put in place when she studied both Clark's Kent and Superman's pictures side by side. As she observed closely the mild-mannered reporter's image, she saw Superman's face looking back at her. It was beyond any doubt that Clark Kent and Superman were the one and the same.

"What?" Lois asked incredulously and jumped out of her seat. "You…" she trailed off. "You know?" she went on slowly as she sank back down in the couch. "How…" she mumbled before anger and hurt rose in her chest. "That rat!" she growled in frustration. "He told you that during your therapy sessions." she concluded. "Wait a second!" Lois practically yelled. "You knew before me?" she asked incredulous. "That piece of worm-"

"Hold it. Hold it!" Dr Friskin cut Lois short. "Lois, do you understand what you are doing this moment?" she inquired. "You are jumping into conclusions which are obviously wrong ones, without giving the chance for explanation."

"I-"

"No, no, no." Dr. Friskin cut Lois off once more. "That was your problem in your relationship with Clark from all along." she continued. "You never really bothered to find out about Clark's weird disappearances but instead you preferred to believe that he had commitment issues." she explained. "Lois." Dr. Friskin said gently. "Don't jump into the pool without checking the water level. Stop to be judgmental and self-absorbed at least with Clark if you want to work whatever is between you two." she advised.

'Judgmental and self-absorbed.' Lois thought. Molly had also called her that when they almost died at Fort Truman when Ryan held them as hostages. However, she had changed a lot since then. She had become a better person. Because of Clark and only for Clark; she was willing to change and do so much things because of him and only for him in the future.

"How…" Lois began to ask but immediately trailed off, unable to ask directly Dr. Friskin knew about Clark's double identity.

Dr. Friskin leaned back against her armchair with a sigh. "Lois, it would be impossible for me to say what I need to say without violating doctor-patient confidentiality." she started to explain. "But part of my professional training also involved learning how to really see the people I am looking at - not to be distracted by incidentals such as glasses or hair styles." she added. "Anyway, did you figure it out, or did he did tell it to you?"

"He told me to." Lois replied. "So I was galactically stupid if I wasn't able to see through a pair of glasses and some hair gel." She Lois concluded disappointment heavy in her voice. 'Galactically stupid.' For a strange reason that phrase felt so familiar. She would have sworn she heard that words from someone. She would have sworn felt so familiar in her tongue, as if she had said it before. However, Lois pushed those thoughts aside immediately. She had to deal with more important things now.

Dr. Friskin shook her head. "Lois, I think you're the smartest woman I know." she replied. "Blind maybe. But stupid? No." she clarified. "That's why you picked the real man, the man under the suit at the end."

"That doesn't exactly make me feel any better." Lois grumbled.

"I know." Dr. Friskin responded gently. "But you can tell Clark that his secret is safe." she assured. "Now." Dr. Friskin began and looked at her notes, taking the hint to change the topic. "How is your relationship with your parents and your sister?" she asked.

"Do you have any idea how sexy you look right now wearing only my cape?" Clark said as he stood in the doorway of his bedroom and watched Lois in the dark sitting on the window seat of his living room with his cape wrapped around her naked body. She sat with her back against the wall and her head resting against the window. He was amused by how much she loved that window seat.

Lois turned her head to face Clark. "Really?" she asked easily adding a sexy tone to her voice. He had barely landed on the terrace and walked into his apartment when Lois jumped him. She was so impatient at first that his bedroom seemed to her too far and they ended up having sex on the kitchen counter before they continued onto more comfortable places.

"To be honest, you look sexy in any of my clothes." Clark confessed with a grin as he walked toward Lois. "Couldn't sleep?" he asked and leaned upwards to press a soothing kiss onto the crown of her head.

"I woke up to drink a glass of water and I just…" she trailed off as she turned her attention back to the window. "I just wanna to appreciate the view as long as I can, before you leave this place." She was more than shocked when Clark announced her that Floyd wouldn't renew his lease after its end because his daughter moved back in Metropolis. Lois felt emptiness, like part of hers was taken away from her, because as crazy as it sounded she was emotionally attached to the apartment.

"Sure." Clark said as he slipped in behind Lois. "The view of the brick wall building across the alley is spectacular." he joked.

Lois let out a chuckle and shifted forward to allow Clark to sit between her and the wall. She immediately leaned back into his embrace and rested her head on his arm, relaxing into his embrace.

"But don't be upset honey." Clark said softly as he began to soothe Lois by stroking the side of her head and running his fingers through her hair. "I will make sure my new apartment has a window seat and spectacular view." he assured and tightened his arms around her, placing a kiss behind her ear.

"Oh Clark." Lois sighed. "It's not just a window seat. It's not the view." she began to say. "I mean this is the place where I felt safe, safer than my own place, the place where we first said that we loved each other and the place where we had made love for the first time." she explained.

"According to you I was sentimental softy, not you." Clark said amused. "But we will make new memories just as good as the old ones in my new place, I promise." he assured and placed a gentle kiss on Lois' shoulder where the cape had slipped slightly.

Lois let out a sigh and closed her eyes, enjoying the closeness and Clark's touch. "I know that we will." she answered with a smile as she opened her eyes. "Why are you awake?" she asked and tilted her head over her shoulder, kissing Clark.

"You were not in the bed and I came to find you." Clark answered as he kissed the back on her neck.

Lois turned her attention outside the window. "Are you worried that Dr. Friskin knows about you being Superman?" she asked as she traced his arm with her fingertips.

Clark let out a sigh. "I'd be lying that I don't feel uneasy about her knowing." he confessed.

"I can understand that." Lois began slowly. "But like I told you earlier those kids that Lex had drugged can't prove that you are Superman." she said simply. "Who is gonna believe them anyway?" she reasoned further. After Lois told Clark that Dr. Friskin knew he was Superman, he expressed his concerns about the fact that some people knew and probably could have known the truth about his alter-ego. Lois tried to reassure him not to worry but it was obviously pointless. "As far as concerned, Jack you told me that he doesn't know for sure that you are Superman, but even if he does, Clark, he is living across the country with Danny away from Metropolis, his former life and us. Clark." she tilted her head over her shoulder to look at Clark. "He's gone." she pointed out. "As for Diane Stride and her partner Rolf well…" Lois let out a chuckle as she leaned back into Clark's embrace once more. "Your mother's hologram fooled not only the citizens of Metropolis but the whole World."

"I know." Clark whispered close to Lois' ear.

"But it's not about the Smart kids, Jack and Diana Stride with Rolf that we are talking about. Or Dr. Friskin" Lois said knowingly as she turned into Clark's arms and looked at him into the eyes. "Is it?"

Clark shook his head. Either Lois was smarter than he thought or she knew him better than he thought. Or it could be both.

"You were afraid that I might have said something to Lex." Lois stated more than asked. She wasn't stupid to realize the real reason that Clark felt uncomfortable about her visit to Lex.

"Hey I didn't mean you would do it on purpose." Clark defended. "You might have given it away by accident in the heat on the moment." he explained.

"Gee, Clark." Lois said with a laugh and leaned her back against Clark's chest. "Lighten up. I know what you meant." She didn't blame Clark for thinking like that. She was acting pretty impulsively when she was pissed and Lex could easily wear her patience thin. She could easily give Clark's secret away without thinking by rubbing it to Lex's face.

"Can we just leave Luthor and focus on something more important?" Clark grunted annoyingly. "Like how much more sexy you would be without my cape on." he said in a husky tone as he traced a line of kisses on Lois' exposed skin. He wanted nothing more than to put his hands on the red cloth and open it…slowly. Visions from an old fantasy came back to him and Clark felt a drop of sweat roll down the back of his neck.

"Really?" Lois asked as she dragged herself into a sitting position and looked at Clark with an impish smile. "I was thinking if making love against the ceiling would be better than making love midair."

"Honey." Clark stood and faced Lois. "We will have to do a comparison." he replied, as he fingered the edge of his cape.

"Okay." Lois agreed. "How about if we start…" she trailed off and let the cape slip a little more from her shoulder. "Now." she suggested in an alluring tone and walked seductively towards the bedroom, letting the cape fall on the floor.

With a burst of super speed Clark dashed into the bedroom with Lois, the sound of their laughter echoing into the Clinton's Street apartment.

"I can't believe you made caramel apples this time of the year just for me, Martha. Thank you so much." Lois said as she began to eat her favorite confection.

"Don't mention it at all." Martha told casually as she set two more caramel apples in Lois' plate. "Clark." she turned to her son. "You are not going to believe who is back in town."

"Surprise me." Clark said as he leaned against his chair chewing one of the chocolate chip cookies that Martha had made for Lois and him.

"Lana Lang." Martha replied.

Clark looked at his mother in shock. "Wow." he said, stunned at the news. "You did surprise me." Although he was hearing news about Lana through his parents, it had been many years since he had last seen her and talked to her; since he had begun to travel around the World and she had moved overseas. It would be pleasant to see her again after such a long time, especially here, in Smallville after what happened.

"Who is Lana?" Lois asked looking back and forth between her boyfriend and his mother.

"Lana is Clark's high school sweetheart." Jonathan stated as he walked through the back door to the kitchen.

"Dad!" Clark snapped embarrassed.

"Hello Lois, son." Jonathan greeted and sat in a chair next to Lois. "I see you have broken the news already, Martha."

"Well…" Martha trailed off upon seeing Clark's uneasiness and Lois' jealousy. The older woman smiled mentally. She was happy that there was woman to love her son so much that she would be jealous of his former relationships.

"Ah, an ex-girlfriend." Lois said as she looked at Clark, a pang of jealousy running through her at the mention of his ex girlfriend. It was obvious by Clark's reaction that for some reason Lana still held a special place in his heart. Lois knew very well that Clark had only had friendly feelings for his ex-girlfriend but she still doubted about Lana's real intentions.

"I…" Clark trailed off, feeling quite awkward, the conversation about Lana stilted and uncomfortable. Lois knew that he loved her and that the only feelings he harbored on Lana were friendship and sibling love but the look on her face and the tone of her voice gave away the twinge of jealousy she felt. Maybe Lois was afraid of that Lana was still romantically interested in him.

"Oh come on." Martha exclaimed as she began to retrieve the plates from the table. "You and Lana were so cute together back then."

Mom! Clark cried. "Don't listen to her, Lois." he turned to Lois. "It was platonic. My relationship with Lana ended before it really began." he reassured.

"Clark is right." Jonathan said getting to his serious mode. "Lana was a good match for Clark but she was not the woman that he could spend the rest of his life with." he explained. "You are." he pointed.

"Dad!" Clark shot a death glare in the direction of his father. His parents' remarks made both him and Lois uneasy. Did he want a future with Lois? Yes. Did he want to marry her and have children with her? Of course. Was he ready to propose to her? Absolutely. Was she ready? He didn't know, probably not. Lois was still trying to deal with the aftermath of the revelation that he was Superman and a sudden marriage proposal would wreck it all. Clark and Lois looked at each other knowingly. He knew she had the same thoughts with him. Her feelings were mutual. She loved him, she wanted a future with him, but they would take it slow, one step at the time, so their relationship would work.

"I don't think the blue one works." Lois stated aloud, as she stared at herself in the full-length mirror, studying carefully the navy blue strapless dress she held in front of her. When Clark asked her to escort him to his High School Reunion, she had decided to wear something elegant yet simple to meet Clark's former classmates. However, the presence of her meeting with Lana made her anxious and it was time for her to bring out the big guns. As she ran a short background check on Lana the previous night, she found out what she had studied Political Science at Berkeley University before she moved to France. She would be lying if she said she wasn't feeling a pang of jealousy. Lana was the type of the woman that Clark was attracted to; educated, cultured, successful, independent and not the average Midwest farm girl. Lois threw the navy blue dress across the room and turned her attention to the two dresses on the bed with a sigh. What was she thinking? She knew very well what she should wear to caught Clark's attention. Lois grabbed the outfit of her choice with a smile and started to get dressed.

"You look absolutely gorgeous." she heard a familiar male voice say from behind. Lois turned to find Clark lounging against the door frame to his bedroom smiling, hands in the pockets of his pants.

"Thank you. You look quite handsome yourself." Lois replied as she eyed Clark up and down. He wore a charcoal suit similar to the one he'd worn on their first date and a solid black tie. "What?" she asked, puzzled as Clark remained silent, his eyes glued to hers.

"You are so fantastic in burgundy." Clark confessed. "It looks good on you." he gushed. She had a short deep, dark burgundy dress on, that rested on her thighs with a deep V-neck plunge and a simple see through lace over dress that had ¾ sleeves, round neck and rested above her knees. Clark gulped and his eyes wandered all over her. The heels and studded earrings were the same color as the dress. She wore little make-up and a light pink lipstick while her hair was down and straight. She'd planned this thoroughly. And she was well aware of the reaction it would get from him.

"Thank you." Lois thanked once more blushed and bit her inside cheek nervously. She felt so anxious as if she was going to the prom with Clark and not to a High School Reunion. She was overwhelmed by the fact she was going to meet Clark's classmates and she began to wonder if they were moving too fast.

Clark took a moment to appreciate Lois' appearances, pushed himself away from the door frame and approached her. "It's the truth." he replied with a smile. "So." Clark offered his arm. "Shall we?"

Lois smiled brightly at Clark and linked her arm loosely through his. And the world was the same place. And forever different.

"So...Here we are." Clark announced the moment he turned the Jeep's engine off in the Smallville's High School parking lot. The ride over there lasted around 20 minutes and they spent it in comfortable discussion about their High School years, their hands interlaced all the time. "Hold on second." Clark requested, got out of the car and walked over to open the door for Lois.

"Thank you." Lois said smiling and took Clark's hand which he had held for her.

Clark shut the passenger's door and pulled the remote keyless entry from his pants pocket, pressing the button to lock Lois' Jeep Cherokee. "Well." he began and offered Lois his arm.

"Well what?" Lois asked as she gladly accepted his offer and looped her arm through his.

"Are you nervous about tonight?" Clark questioned as they made their way together over to the entrance of where the reunion celebration was taking place.

Lois gave Clark a million watt smile as she tightened her grip on his arm. "No excited." she replied and rested her hand on his shoulder reassuringly. She was indeed excited, but also nervous. She just didn't tell the truth to Clark, yet trying to reassure him. "Okay. I'm a little nervous." she admitted. "Everyone I'll meet today will be totally strangers to me." she explained. "And there is Lana…" She really wanted to meet Clark's classmates, but meeting Lana, well, she wasn't so sure.

"I told you not to worry about Lana." Clark pointed out as they walked towards the entrance of the Smallville High School gym. "And Rachel will be there too, so you will not be literally among strangers."

Rachel. Rachel Harris, Clark's date to the High School prom. The woman who obviously still had crush on him. The Sheriff of Smallville who obviously didn't like her. 'Great.' Lois sighed mentally, torn between wry amusement and resignation. And she thought only her meeting with Lana Lang would make things awkward. Lois froze in her shoes as soon as she and Clark walked through the doors. She began to survey the noisy party, decorated in early 80's splendor, a disco ball suspended in the middle. There was also a banner hanging across the wall that read: CLASS OF 84 WELCOME BACK TO SMALLVILLE HIGH. Lois looked around the gym more intensely. The noise inside was out of control. People were clustered in large groups. Some hung out next to the bar in the corner, some were collected next to the white clothed tables, and some just floated around jumping from group to group. The 'Material Girl' by Madonna played loudly from speakers on the ceiling while some couples were dancing to the rhythm of the song. The lights were dim and there was almost a romantic feeling that coursed throughout the room. 'Holy shit' Lois cursed mentally at herself. There was a ton of people here. Suddenly, her anxiety level spiked like crazy. Lois found herself mentally pounding her head against a brick wall. Why in the hell did she agree to come here?

"Thanks." Clark said the guy who handed him the tag names. "Not what you expected huh?" he questioned as he handed one of the name tags to Lois.

"I feel like I'm back in High School." Lois replied in disbelief as she pinned her name tag over her dress.

"I thought you gonna say that you expected corn husking." Clark smirked as he pinned his name tag over breast pocket of his suit jacket. "I'm just teasing you." he grinned and kissed her right cheek, when Lois shot him her Mad Dog Lane glare.

"You know the whole scenery reminds of my own prom." Lois confessed. "I was in my 'dating the quarterback' phase. Joe Malloy was his name. It didn't last long."

"I gotta tell you Lois you were downgraded. I was defensive back." Clark joked.

Lois rolled her eyes. She and Clark walked further into the gym and started took around the room once more.

"Clark, Lois!" Both Lois and Clark heard a familiar female voice shout.

"Rach!" Clark exclaimed happily.

Lois turned seconds later and saw Rachel Harris. She wore a little black dress with low scoop neck, cute spaghetti straps, nice cling around the hips; it almost made her look curvy. She had to admit that Rachel looked much more beautiful like that than wearing her Sheriff Uniform.

"Clark!" Rachel screeched excited and threw her arms around Clark's neck, hugging him warmly. "Lois." she looked at Lois as she broke off from her embrace with Clark.

Lois forced a smile. "Hi Rachel." she greeted awkwardly. She was taken completely back when she felt Rachel's arms around her but she was sane to return the gesture before the two women broke apart from the hug. "Nice dress. Looks good on you."

"Thanks." Rachel said. "Yours too."

Lois nodded her thanks.

"Hey Kent, old pal." a man with blonde hair at Clark's age, with a gray suit and a dark blue tie shouted from behind.

"Pete!" Clark gave Pete a bear hug. "Lois." he turned to Lois after he pulled away from the hug. "This is Pete Ross. A good old friend." he introduced Pete to Lois as he patted his friend on the shoulder. "Pete this is Lois Lane my partner at the Planet and…" he looked at Lois with pure adoration. "my girlfriend." he added with pride.

"Dr. Pete Ross now. But you can call me Pete." Pete took Lois' hand with a smile. "I'm honored and charmed to meet Lois Lane, the Daily Planet's Ace Reporter and the other half of Lane and Kent in person." he kissed charmingly the hand that Lois had offered him for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you…Pete." Lois greeted blushed by Pete's compliments.

"Pete was quarterback in High School." Clark informed Lois teasingly. Lois rolled her eyes.

"Any relation with Dr. Samuel Lane?" Pete asked.

Lois shuddered at the mention of her father's name. "Well." she began hesitatingly. "Yea, he's my father." she confirmed a little downhearted. "Do you know him?"

"Wow!" Pete thrilled oblivious to Lois' distress. "No, no. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him." he answered. "Kent." he turned to Clark. "You didn't tell me that your partner and girlfriend is the daughter of the legend in the sports medicine world." he added. "Lois." Pete turned his attention back to Lois. "You have to introduce me your father. I'm great fan of his."

Lois lowered slightly her head, biting her lower lip before she looked at Clark uneasily. If Pete only knew that her father wasn't the world-renowned doctor he thought he was but a modern Frankenstein who was creating cyborgs. Fortunately, her and Clark's story about the bionic boxers' scandal and her father's involvement hadn't come to Pete's attention.

"Well, anyone drinks?" Clark interjected taking the hint by Lois' look to change the topic.

"Sure." Rachel affirmed. "I really need to get a second round."

"I'll be happy to get us a refill." Pete quickly offered.

"I'm coming with you." Clark proposed. "A glass of red wine, right?" he asked Lois and gaveher a chaste kiss before he followed Pete to the bar.

"Pete Ross and Clark Kent. Classic knights in shining armors." Rachel commented and she and Lois burst into laughter. "So how's Metropolis?" she asked when their laughter died down.

"Oh you know." Lois replied with a shrug. "Same old same old. Chasing stories, writing articles, giving Clark a hard time." she joked.

Rachel laughed slightly. "So you and Clark?" she mumbled.

"Aha." Lois nodded awkwardly.

"Look, Lois." Rachel began in a serious tone. "When we had first met I have to admit I didn't like you." she confessed. "I mean your attitude and the fact that I still had a little crush on Clark. All I want to say is…"she went on few moments after she paused. "I'm glad that you and Clark are together." she said honestly. "I know that you have changed and see how much different Clark is." she told further. "I have never seen Clark so happy in my life. Just…" she let out a sigh. "Don't break his heart." she pleaded.

Lois' mouth gaped open, closed and reopened but not words came out. Rachel's confession had left her speechless. She knew that Clark's friend didn't like her back then. She knew that she still had crush on Clark since High School. But she didn't know how much she cared about Clark and his happiness. Lois tried to respond, but by the time she could muster words both Pete and Clark had returned with their drinks.

"There you go girls." Pete handed one of the drinks he kept to Rachel while Clark handed Lois a glass of red wine.

"I would like to make a toast." Pete said as he raised his glass as he urged Clark, Lois and Rachel to do the same thing. "To the future."

"And to Lois and Clark." Rachel added happily.

"To Lois and Clark." Pete repeated and the group clinked the glasses.

"You can really do this." Clark said excited as he danced with Lois on the dance floor into the beat of the "You Spin Me Round' by Dead Or Alive.

"Oh, Clark." Lois laughed as her delicate frame swirled on the dance floor. "I've proven to you that I know how to dance." she spun around and winked at Clark as she walked slowly close to him, wiggling her hips at the same time.

Clark just gave Lois one of his famous grins and then wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close to him. Her hips moved against his, seeming to hit every beat of the song and the smell of her excitement that moment was irresistible to him.

Lois turned, so her back was to Clark's chest and strategically lifted her right arm and placed it on his neck while her other hand grabbed his tie. "You spin me right round, baby right round like a record, baby right round round round." she sang quietly into Clark's right ear.

Clark swallowed hard as his body began respond to her closeness. "Do you have any idea what are you doing to me now?" he whispered into Lois' ear as he wrapped his arms around her. He started to feel the first stirrings of an erection as he felt Lois' gorgeous body move against the front of his pants. Swimming laps in the Arctic would not be enough that night. She would be the death of him.

"All I know is that to me

You look like you're lots of fun

Open up your lovin' arms

Watch out, here I come."

Lois chuckled as she dropped her arm from Clark's neck and turned to look at him. "I think I have a pretty good idea." she replied huskily and rubbed her butt against his hardness as her back collided with his chest once more. Clark twitched and she smirked. Mission accomplished. Slowly she slipped her hand between their bodies.

"You spin me right round, baby

Right round like a record, baby

Right round round round

You spin me right round, baby

Right round like a record, baby

Right round round round"

Clark caught Lois' hand before she could move it further up his thigh. "Keep your hands to yourself, Lois." he warned. He hadn't seen her act like this since Miranda had drugged the whole newsroom with her Pheromone. Concerned, he checked as much as he could her pupils to make sure he didn't see any signs of Lois being drunk but she seemed fine.

"I want your love

I want your love"

Lois quickly turned around and then wrapped her arms around Clark's neck. "Why?" she teased playfully, pressing herself against him, "Am I….distracting…you?" she fingered the end of his tie seductively, looking at him with an impish grin. She caught her breath in her throat as her nostrils were introduced to his amazing smell. God, how much she wanted him now.

"All I know is that to me

You look like you're lots of fun

Open up your lovin' arms

Watch out, here I come."

Clark gulped. Man, she wasn't playing by the rules. But then again, there weren't any rules. Still, this was unfair. Clark rested his hands on Lois' waist and watched her closely his starving eyes taking in every detail of her face. They were as close to each other as they could possibly be; their noses were almost touching. Being this close to her only made him want to kiss her and never stop. It was kind of unfair.

"You spin me right round, baby

Right round like a record, baby

Right round round round

You spin me right round, baby

Right round like a record, baby

Right round round round"

Lois smirked at Clark with twinkling eyes and began to spin around, singing with a smile the lyrics of the song.

"You spin me right round, baby

Right round like a record, baby

Right round round round

You spin me right round, baby

Right round like a record, baby

Right round round round"

Shortly after the song that was being played ended, Lois moved closer to Clark and kissed him passionately.

"Clark?" called a soft feminine voice full of surprise.

Clark and Lois broke off the kiss and to see who that woman was. "Lana?" Clark asked in disbelief, a soft smile forming around his lips.

Lois turned and saw a woman and her and Clark's age. She was almost the same height as her, with shoulder length wavy dark brown hair and startling sea green eyes while she had a small brown mole on the right side of her face near her nose. Lois swallowed the lump in her throat when she saw her boyfriend's former love interest just standing there close to him. She knew all along that this would happen, but it still felt uneasy.

"Clark!" Lana shouted excitedly and flung herself into Clark's arms, kissing him softly on the lips.

"Lana." Clark enveloped her warmly in his arms.

Lois gritted her teeth angrily the moment she saw Lana kissing Clark on the lips. Lana Lang had kissed Clark, her boyfriend on the lips. How in the hell hadn't she unleashed Mad Dog Lane on her yet to savage her? Lois started to look at Lana intensively. Her makeup was dark while she'd painted her lips the sexiest color, a deep red. Her eyes widened open the moment she realized what Clark's ex girlfriend wore. It was a light burgundy dress, very tight-fitting dress with a halter top decorated with sequins going along the sides of it. The back of the dress was almost not existent, only having the straps from the halter wrap around her shoulder blades in an 'X' pattern. It was a dress she was intended to wear only for Clark that night but she couldn't find it anywhere in Metropolis on burgundy to buy it. However, somehow Lana managed to purchase it; on burgundy, Clark's favorite color. Lois folded her arms in front of her a surefire sign that she was putting up her defenses. "Um." Lois coughed and cleared her throat obviously irritated.

"Lana." Clark called the moment he broke from Lana's embrace. "This is-"

"Lois Lane." Lana cut Clark off. "Is there anyone who doesn't know or read an article of a world famous journalist like Lois Lane the Daily Planet's Ace Reporter?" she looked at Clark. It's a great honor to meet you." she turned back to Lois offering her hand for a handshake.

"Me too." Lois said simply, trying to look comfortable and shook Lana's hand.

"I've been great fan of yours." Lana confessed when the two women broke off the handshake. "Even before Clark started to work with you." she confessed. "No offence, Clark." she turned to her ex-boyfriend.

Clark just laughed and put his arm around Lois' waist, and let his hand lovingly squeeze her hip. He felt the tension in her body ease up a bit at his loving touch.

"Really?" Lois asked in disbelief.

"Yea." Lana affirmed. "I've always admired your work," she admitted. "And I still do keep tabs on the journalism community here at home, even now I'm living overseas." she explained. "Plus, I always read the international edition of the Daily Planet."

"Wow." Lois mumbled stunned.

The trio engaged in relaxed conversation with Rachel and Pete to participate few minutes later after they returned with more drinks. However, Lois still felt uneasy around Lana. Or to be exact jealous. She felt viciously, sickeningly jealous, Which had been a very strange reaction at the time because she knew how Clark felt about her. Lois didn't know why but the thought of Lana being so close to Clark made her fume inside. She knew she shouldn't be jealous but there was something about Lana and the way Clark interacted with her that made her feel a little left out.

"Clark you would like to dance?" Lana suggested the moment 'Careless Whisper' started to play through the speakers.

Clark looked at Lois, dreading her comeback but Lois just nodded graciously. "Sure." he replied.

Lana took Clark by the hand and led him to the dance floor.

"Don't worry about Lana, Lois." Rachel tried to reassure Lois, sensing how uncomfortable the reporter felt watching her boyfriend to dance with his ex girlfriend. "She had always been like that." she explained.

"Kind of...insistent." Pete added and took a sip of his drink. "No wonder her nickname is 'Steamroller.'"

"So, how are you?" Lana asked as she and Clark swirled around the dance floor to the strains of George's Michael song.

"I'm fine." Clark responded. "You know daily routine." he added with a shrug.

"Clark." Lana warned in a serious tone. "I might live overseas for years but I know what is going on here." she informed. "Especially when it comes to people that I love and I care about." she added. "So, how really are you?"

"I guess it is a little difficult to ignore the bombing of one of the biggest newspapers of the World and the fall of the third richest man of the World." Clark said sarcastically.

"Yep." Lana replied with a smile. "With the contribution of a mild-mannered reporter from Kansas, of course." she told further. "And it's also difficult to ignore a worldwide reporter fawning over a superhero in tights, while you aware that your best friend is completely in love with that reporter." Lana commented. "At least the latter seems to have changed." she glanced at Lois who sat on the bar drinking her drink as she stared at them with narrowed eyes. "She's possessive. I like her." she pointed out with satisfaction.

Clark moved perfectly in time with the music, spinning them around in smooth circles on the dance floor and caught a glimpse of Lois before he turned his attention back to Lana. "Be careful with Lois. They don't call her 'Mad Dog Lane' for nothing." he warned. "However, this time she's like a wild cat. I expect any second her claws to pop out of her paws." he said mockingly as he looked at Lois once more. "Maybe I have to get her a saucer of milk." he paid his attention back to Lana.

"Meow." Lana teased, offering him a playful grin.

Clark laughed. "Anyway, to answer your question I'm pretty fine. More than fine."

"Good. I'm really happy for you." Lana confessed happily and kissed Clark's cheek.

"So, how long are you staying?" Clark asked as he swirled Lana in time to the music. "I gotta tell you I was surprised at the news of your return."

"As long as it takes." Lana responded simply.

"As long as it takes for what?" Clark looked at Lana his eyebrows raised questioningly.

Lana was ready to respond but the song ended. "We will talk about that some other time." she said and broke out from Clark's arms, kissing him softly on the lips.

Lois set her glass of wine on the counter with force. She had to get out of here. She couldn't to stand there and watch Lana to moon over Clark while he didn't push her away at all. Clark was such a hypocrite. He was much madder at her for less when Dan was making a pass on her. She needed some air. Unable to stay there, she headed for locker rooms and the nearest Ladies Room.

"Lois, are you alright?" Clark asked concerned as he approached with Lana.

"Sure." Lois lied. "I just…" she pointed to the locker rooms and walked away. She exhaled slowly, resting her hands on the sink the moment she entered the Ladies' Room. Her head fell back, her hair spilling over her shoulders, and she nibbled on her lip. Her chest was shaking with uncertainty. She stared into the spotless, smearless mirror, glancing over at the reflection of the closed door. The Ladies' Room was empty apart from her and that was the way that she needed it to stay if she was going to be able to sort her feelings out and come to her senses. "Oh God." Lois murmured under her breath as she raked her fingers through her hair. "What is wrong with me?" she shook her head.

"Clark is amazing kisser, isn't he?" a feminine voice asked from behind.

Lois jumped from the woman's voice unaware that she was behind her. She turned and saw Lana leaning against the wall.

"Kidding." Lana put her hands in gesture of surrender. "Couldn't help myself though." she explained as she approached Lois.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" Lois asked, going into full Mad Dog Lane mode. It was time to get over with that overbearing chick.

"Sure." Lana nodded. "How about you not feeling threatened by me?"

"Excuse me?" Lois asked angrily. That woman had a lot of nerve.

"Let's stop pretending, Lois." Lana went on. "You think I came here to steal Clark from you which it's not true."

"Re...really? Lois stammered shakily.

Lana nodded. "I love him like a brother."

"I've heard that one before." Lois sneered to herself and Lana as she remembered her own statement when Clark had lost his memory after his first attempt as Superman to stop the Nightfall.

"We are friends since we were kids and even if we were dating for two months in High School, I'm fond of him only in a brotherly way." she explained. "Gee, Clark has only eyes for you. When you are in a room with him everyone else cease to exist." she revealed.

Lois blushed and a smile spread across her face.

"But I want you to know one more thing." Lana added. "When you turned Clark down because you were in love with Superman and in the end you accepted Luthor's wedding proposal, you broke his heart."

Lois tried to answer but nothing came out. She just stood there and stared at Lana in silent awe. Lois began to wonder how many things Lana knew about Clark and his life after he moved to Metropolis. Did she know that her ex-boyfriend had super powers and he moonlighted in blue tights the two last years?

"Like I also told Clark I might live overseas for years but I know what is going on here, especially when it comes to people that I love and I care about." Lana explained with a slight smile. "Anyway," she went on. "Like I said what happened one year ago, broke Clark's heart. I don't even know how he survived it. But I do know one thing. Next time he won't. Just...be careful.'' she requested. "Handle with care. Content is priceless."

"I won't hurt him again; trust me," Lois said without hesitation and she meant it. She had already broken Clark's heart more than once and if she would do that again she knew she break it beyond repair. She would cherish him, she silently promised to Lana and Rachel, but most of all to Clark and herself.

"Good to know." Lana said with a whisper. "So? Truce?" she asked with a warm smile and held out her hand for Lois.

Lois took Lana's proffered hand and shook it. "Truce." she nodded. "Oh and by the way." she went on as the two women broke off the handshake. "About Clark being an amazing kisser." she turned to look at Lana as they were walking toward the exit of the Ladies' Room. "I think you have already known that at first hand." she commented and laughed loudly along with Lana as they exited the Ladies' Room.

"Oh yeah!" Lois laughed as she took another shot.

Clark watched the shot glasses line up in awe, two full ones in front of Lois and about eight empty ones next to her as well. "Lois..." he warned, a little concerned by the amount she was drinking. He shared a look with Lana who just shrugged her shoulders.

"Lois' an excessive drinker, I see!" Lana commented with a smile.

"What?" Clark shouted, pointing towards his ear.

"I said I think Lois' an excessive drinker!" Lana repeated and took a sip of her drink.

"Ya think?" Clark shouted back, motioning his hand towards the empty and full shot glasses in front of Lois. Lana laughed.

Lois suddenly spun around in her stool, throwing her hands up in the air. "WOO!" she screamed out."I love drinking!" she added cheerfully. "You tell me that you want me. You tell me that you need me. You tell me that you love me. And I know that I'm right 'Cause I hear it in the night." she started to sing the lyrics from 'Talking in Your Sleep' by The Romantics running her hands seductively on Clark's chest. "Come on, Clark let's go dance." she asked excited and tried to stand from her stool.

"No Lois." Clark shook his head stopping her. "We are going home."

"Come on, Clark." Lois begged whining like a little girl. "I hear the secrets that you keep, when you're talking in your sleep. I hear the secrets that you keep, when you're talking in your sleep." she went on to sing teasingly.

"Lo-is." Clark said in warning tone.

"Spoilsport." Lois pouted in resignation.

Clark wrapped his arm around his inebriated girlfriend. "Bye Lana. See ya around." he greeted and helped Lois to stand from the stool, allowing her to put all her weight on him.

Lois looped her arms around Clark's neck. "Bye, Lana." she greeted cheerfully.

"Bye Lois, bye Clark." Lana greeted with a laugh.

"Come on." Clark encouraged as he and Lois started off out the Smallville High School Gym. "You are drunk." he observed as he scooped Lois up and carried her toward their car.

"Drunk?" Lois wondered. "I'm not drunk!" she protested. "I'm just a bit tipsy." she argued.

Clark stopped and looked at Lois in disbelief. "A bit?"

"A bit." Lois looked at Clark with puppy eyes and held up her index finger and thumb to show a small gap.

"Clark couldn't help but laugh. "Finally." he let out a sigh of relief the moment he unlocked the Jeep Cherokee with remote keyless entry and opened the passenger's door, setting Lois gently down in the passenger seat. He smiled to himself when he entered the car and heard her incoherent mutterings.

"You know." Lois began as she rolled down the window fully and rested with her arm resting on the door. "There is a Full Moon tonight." she glanced around the night sky before her eyes landed on the moon. "I wish we could dance under the stars."

"Yea." Clark nodded as he started the engine and began to drive. He couldn't help but smile at the sight of Lois' hair move wildly in the breeze as she looked out the bright moon illuminated the big trees of the forest, while the wind was making music with its leaves, causing some of them to fall to the ground. The night was peaceful. Clark saw in the bright sky, the stars that accompanied the moon that night. He could swear they were shinier than every other night he had seen. "Wait here." he requested the moment he stopped the car in front of the Kents farmhouse.

"Where are you going?" Lois grabbed Clark's arm when he opened the door and tried to get out of the car.

"I'm going to wear the suit, so we would go Sky Dancing." Clark responded.

"Sky Dancing?" Lois raised an eyebrow.

"Yea." Clark nodded. "Dancing among the stars." he looked up.

"Okay." Lois said simply. "But I don't want to go for Sky Dancing with Superman." she stated emotionally. "I want to go with Clark."

Clark smiled. Sometimes it still amazed him that she could love him at all, let alone that she could prefer Clark to Superman. She kept proving it to him, though, again and again, and it never failed to awe him. Clark requested, got out of the car and walked over to open the door for Lois. "Come on." he encouraged the moment Lois got out of the car and he shut the door behind her. He set up one arm lightly on Lois' waist and the other clasped in her hand. "Here we go." he said excitedly when he felt Lois' left arm around his waist.

Lois immediately felt herself become weightless just like she always did every tine lifted her into the air or flew with her. She looked around at the fantastic sight as they rose and soon she could see the entire town of Smallville spread out far below them in a great pattern of twinkling lights. The night air was cool, but Lois didn't mind as Clark drifted into the sky with her in his arms. She felt her breath catch as it always did when he flew with her like this, showing her the world as only he was able to see it. Lois was standing upright face to face with Clark, eyes lost in each other. She felt as if she was in heaven.

"Too bad we didn't bring along with us music." Clark stated sadly and twirled them around in the night sky.

"Yes we did." Lois said and slid her arm a little further around Clark's back, pulling him closer. "Just close your eyes and listen to it." she shut her eyes and rested her head on his shoulder. "Fly me to the moon let me play among the stars. Let me see what spring is like, on a, Jupiter and Mars. In other words, hold my hand. In other words, baby, kiss me." she began to sing the lyrics from 'Fly Me To The Moon', the song they had danced on Lois' apartment when Clark had appeared there as Superman after the Church's Fundraiser.

Clark pulled himself even closer to Lois and rested his chin lightly on the top of her hair, brushing a kiss over it as they spun and swayed.

"Fill my heart with song and let me sing for ever more." Lois continued to the song and tightened her grip on Clark. "You are all I long for all I worship and adore. In other words, please be true. In other words…" she opened eyes and raised her head to look at Clark with a smile. "I love you."

Clark smiled at Lois as they glided smoothly through the air. Slowly, he leaned forward and kissed her as they rose further in the night sky, wrapped around each other, drifting past a huge harvest moon.

"Oh Clark." Lois moaned as she rode Clark slowly in a steady rhythmic motion giving him everything she had.

After they finished Sky Dancing they ended up into Clark's old tree house making love. Clark tried in vain to avoid it, as obviously Lois was not thinking clearly because of the alcohol but since the moment they had landed on the platform of the treehouse she was practically over him and he still had no clear memory how he found himself naked onto the dusty wooden floor with the woman he loved. However, one thing was sure. She was like a drug to him and he was addicted to it.

Lois placed her hands on Clark's chest for support and rode him like it was the last thing she'd ever do. "I love you." she panted and leaned down to kiss him, her hands sliding into his dark short hair. This love making was truly something new to her but she would make love to him every day if she had to, because she wouldn't make love to another man ever; he was the only man for her now.

"Lois." Clark murmured after he broke off the kiss, his hands firmly gripping Lois' hips. He felt so relaxed and he was so breathless at the same time when he made love to her. Just looking to her face gave him a reason to wake up and live his life every day. He couldn't imagine his life without her ever, because she completed him. His love for her was true and soon enough he would admit it to the world if he had to. Clark looked up to Lois feeling her soft lips pressed against his once more. He couldn't fight it anymore. With his arms tight around Lois' waist he pulled her closer to him as he pumped his seed into her.

"Clark!" Lois cried out and came while Clark followed her, feeling his release inside her. She leaned down on him, her chest pressed against his, and kissed him with a smile.

Clark looked down at Lois with a smile on his lips as he slowly kissed her again."I love you forever and always."

Lois lay curled up to Clarks' side, "I love you too, forever and always" she said softly, as she pulled the quilt over them.

Clark looked to his side seeing Lois next to him. He put his right arm around her having her close to him and his body to hers."Good because I wouldn't want any other woman in my life Lois." he said staring into her eyes.

"And I…" Lois took hold of Clark's hand and kissed it. "Wouldn't want any other man in my life, Clark." she rest her head softly upon his chest. "You know, we should rename this place." she suggested. "We should call it 'Fortress of Love' instead of 'Fortress of Solitude'.

Both she and Clark barked a laugh at her suggestion. "If you think about it, it's not so bad idea." he commented in thought, before he leaned down and gave Lois a quick kiss on the lips.

"Clark." Lois warned. "I was just joking."

"No problem." Clark assured and kissed Lois once more.

"Clark?" Lois called hesitantly after few moments of silence.

"Yea?"

"Lana is not that bad after all." Lois finally said. The truth was she felt threatened by Lana. She was afraid that Lana still had feelings about Clark and that she would push him around but as it turned down she only cared about Clark and loved him as a friend. Rachel had also asked her not to break Clark's heart but the way Lana had asked it...Lois mentally shook her head. She was not going to hurt Clark, not if she could help it.

"I told you that you don't have to worry about Lana." Clark mumbled as he sucked Lois' earlobe before kissing the side of her neck down to her collar and back up to her ear. "You two might become friends in the future." he teased. He knew how much Lana's presence and behavior at the party affected Lois and as much as she claimed she liked Lana after she met her he was certain she still felt jealous of his high school sweetheart.

"Don't push it, Kent." Lois warned, glaring at him.

"I knew it!" Clark exclaimed triumphantly."I'm just teasing you." he kissed Lois deeply.

"So does Lana know about…" Lois trailed off, making the flying motion and began to trace slowly multiple S over the whole Clark's chest, in perfect alignment of where the crest of the House of El usually sat.

"No." Clark shook his head. "Lana was my High School crush, you are the woman I love." he explained. Lois wasn't Lana. He liked Lana, he flirted with her and dated her to High School but that was it. But Lois, well, Lois was completely different. She was so much more. She was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and it felt like he was being trite if he described his feelings for Lois as love.

"The woman you love?" Lois echoed Clark's statement and raked her fingernails against his chest.

"Lois." Clark warned as Lois straddled him, brushing her inner thigh against the tip of his erection. She was insatiable; they had already made love five times that night, yet she wanted more.

"Yes?" Lois asked in fake innocence.

"What am I going to do with you?" Clark groaned in resignation.

"I have a few ideas…" Lois whispered seductively and with a long, shivering sigh she sank down anew, onto Clark's hardness.

"So, do I…" Clark murmured on the same tone and flipped them around so that he was now on top, as he made love with Lois for one more time.

"Are you chilly?" Clark asked when watched Lois to pull the quilt further over herself.

"A little." Lois admitted and tightened the quilt around her.

Clark reached out for his boxers and pulled them on. "Here." he threw his dress shirt to Lois.

"Thanks." Lois nodded her appreciation as she caught Clark's dress-shirt in the air.

"Lois?" Clark called out.

"Yea. Lois asked as she looked up at Clark.

"Come over here." Clark motioned his head for Lois to join by the crude shelf.

"What?" Lois raised an eyebrow and stood from the floor, buttoning the last button of the dress-shirt.

"Come on." Clark argued. "Touch it." he took Superman's globe on his hand and offered it to Lois. "I want you to know everything about my origins."

Lois shook her head. "I'm not going to appear half-naked in front of your father." she stated flatly.

"Lois it's a hologram." Clark explained, rolling his eyes. "Like I told you it holds messages from my birth parents." he added. "It should have worked by now though." he commented troubled as he touched the bottom hemisphere of the globe but Jor El's hologram didn't appear.

"Maybe your father is too shy to meet me." Lois joked and touched the top hemisphere of the globe casually.

"My son." An unfamiliar male voice called.

Lois and Clark jumped abruptly and at the nearly-transparent images before them in amazement. Clark immediately recognized the man as his birth father Jor-El and the woman as his birth mother, Lara.

"We programmed this globe to reveal this message only when held jointly by Ka-El and his life-mate." Jor-El continued.

"To the woman who holds the heart of our son in her hands, we offer our sincere gratitude and appreciation." Lara went on. "Love him and treasure him unconditionally, knowing that he will return it in full as you share your lives." she added. "I wish for you both all the joy that Jor-El and I shared as a couple."

"We wished we could meet the woman that our son has chosen to share his life with, the woman who is so strong, independent and beautiful of soul that will help him to fulfill his destiny in which he would be the savior of humanity." Jor-El spoke.

Lois and looked at each other both stunned.

"And son." Jor-El addressed Clark and Clark looked back at his parents' holograms. "Never forget who you truly are." he reminded. "Do not control people but teach them." he advised. That is my legacy that is your destiny. May both of you be blessed with a long and rich life together."

Clark reached out wanting to touch his birth parents, but when his hand left the globe the holograms crackled and vanished. As the images of Jor-El and Lara faded and the orbs dropped back down into their hands, Lois and Clark looked at each other.

Clark swallowed thickly the lump that had formed in his throat "Lois." he whispered his voice laced with emotion.

Lois placed the globe on the crude self and cupped Clark's face. "I know." she murmured her words finally cooperating. She shut her eyes and rested her forehead against Clark's. "I know." she repeated with a shaky breath, only then becoming aware of the tears that were flowing unheeded down her cheeks.

P.S #1.I just wanted to let all of you know I do have an actress picked out who embodied my Lana Lang. Just comment for me to see if you guessed correctly and I'll message you! I'll give you a hint; she had work with Dean on a project.

P.S. #2. The last scene of the chapter in the three house with globe was originally written by BrenRenQoI on the fanfiction story. 'Don't Say A Word' I was inspired by the idea and I re-created it with some additions.
