A/N: Hey guys! I haven't written (or read) a brekkie club fic in a while now, so this might suck…although...I thought "Imperfect Place" (my other TBC fic) sucked too, and I got a heap of positive reviews for that! LOVE YOU GUYS!

Dandelions

There was no question about it – all girls loved flowers.

Allison Reynolds chewed her lip as she pondered this. It was like ice-cream or soda – everyone seemed to love it.

Claire loved roses.

Allison's mother loved honeysuckles.

The stuck-up popular girls loved irises.

Favourite flowers always seemed to be beautiful – perfect. Everything Allison wasn't. Maybe that reflected in Allison's favourite flower. Perhaps she wasn't as nuts as she thought.

Allison loved dandelions.

She used to watch them in her backyard, when she was younger, from her bedroom window at night. The fierce night air seemed to catch the fine white threads, ripping them savagely from the stems and carrying them up to the moon, like a wish just begging to be granted.

She didn't find anything spectacular in a soft petal, soft scented, gorgeous rose, or daffodil, or anything. Allison loved a flower more commonly called a weed. A weed is unwanted and shunned for not belonging. Just like she used to be.

But not anymore.

Even though she was not alone anymore, her love for dandelions only seemed to grow.

Maybe that was because an Andrew Clarke usually made out with her in her backyard. A backyard full of dandelions.

She pulled the feathery dandelion pieces out of her hair and smiled to herself.

Allison was sure that she would love dandelions 'till the day she died.
