The City Of Orario's (Colors)
"Hohoho! This is interesting, huh Viole!" I was sitting in Loki's office. Once again with my shirt off, getting my 'status' updated, as the adventures called it. After a bit, the familiar feeling of a paper was placed on my back and the blue light in the room disappeared. "Not a lot of an improvement, but an improvement nonetheless."
Viole
Level 1*
Strength: I 60
Endurance: H 168
Dexterity: H 179
Agility: H 101
Magic: C 706
Skill: Nightmare Rage
Magic: Force Eater
"Wow, My agility went up a whole letter grade! That's good right?" Loki reassured me with a thumbs up. "Strength is still horribly low but it makes sense." I look at my magic stat once more. "Loki, do you have any idea why my magic is so high?"
Loki flinched for a second before laughing. "Well you said that you were teaching yourself and fighting surface monsters with that magic that covers your hands right? So there you go!"
It made sense but not enough. I'd heard a lot about how hard it is for people to increase their stats, let alone level up outside of the dungeon. Speaking of levels, the asterisk next to mine peaked my interest, but I didn't bother bringing it up. Probably nothing. "Alright, so can you update me tomorrow as well? Same time?"
"Nope! I've got a party to go to. So no dungeon crawling tomorrow!" I was taken aback by the admonishment. "Don't want ya going in over your head. So take a look around town. I'm sure you didn't do any sightseeing. Oh and visit your advisor. It's important for early adventures to reassure their advisor that they didn't get themselves killed."
"Alright...I suppose it won't hurt and I do need to cash in the crystals I got today."
"Yup yup! Now then, get outta here. A lady needs to get ready, especially since Chibi's showing up..." Loki's mood seemed to sour as she pushed me out of her office.
"Chibi?" I asked myself as she closed the door gently behind her.

The next day, I found myself looking around the city of Orario. It was just unnecessarily large. I understand that it's the city of Adventurers and all, but is there a need for so many weapon shops. Every corner I turned there were people shouting at me to buy a new sword, it was honestly getting a bit annoying. After walking around more, I found myself in front of the same restaurant that I met Loki last night. Well, I do have some lunch money and I skipped breakfast. The restaurant was called The House of Fertility. "Nice place."
As I walked in, the place was completely packed, adventurers eating and drinking all over the place. "Good Afternoon, would you like a seat?" A blight green haired elf in a green dress and a white apron walked up to me. "Well sir?"
"Um, yes. I would like a seat please miss..." I look down at her chest and see a name tag. "Miss Lyon." The woman nodded her head and led me into the restaurant, she sat me down at the bar and handed me a menu.
"I will be back to take your order." Lyon had bowed polity and went back to her work. I looked at the menu and was stumped with the prices of the food. Eight hundred Valias for the special?! Food back at home was like seventy for an entire family meal!
"Well, I've never seen your face around here. You a newbie?" A large woman from behind the counter asked me as she let down a bowl of soup in front of another customer. WOAH! She really towers over me!
"Yes, my name is Viole. I became an adventurer just a couple days ago. Nice to meet you Miss."
"Hahaha! Well welcome to Orario, Viole! The name's Mia Grand, but just call me Mama Mia! All my regulars do. I'll give ya the newbie discount, but make sure you come around even now and then, eh! So, tell me what you'll be having and what familia you're in?!" Mia laughed when she finished her sentence.
"Um, I suppose I'll have the , and I was lucky enough to join the Loki Familia." The Brunette's eyes sparkled for a second.
"Loki?! Woah, you must be some sort of prodigy, huh?" My spirit shattered at that sentence.
"Unfortunately not... my dad was a part of the Familia when he was an adventurer. So I just got in through a legacy program or something similar." Mia began to laugh once again and started patting my shoulder.
"HAHAHA! Nice kid! Hey, that's still an accomplishment in itself! One afternoon special on the way!" Mia laughed her way all the way into the kitchen. Well I made an impression. There's that at least.
"Mama Mia seems to like you!"
"WOAH!" I jumped in my seat at the voice. I turned around and it was met with a blue haired woman in the same outfit that Lyon was in earlier. "A-Ah. Sorry, I didn't see you there."
"Tehe! I know, that's why I came. But you must be new! Name's Syr, pleasure to meet you!" The girl put her hand in front of her which I politely took.
"Hello, I'm-" Black and red colors flashed in my head once again. It felt like time was standing still before I heard- Do you see the colors?! "Viole. Pleasure to meet you." Time went back to normal when the voice whispered in my ear. Again... but it's been happening less and less often however. There is that at least. The girl looked like she noticed my hesitation. "Sorry, just lost my train of thought for a second."
"Don't worry about it! Happens all the time when guys meet cute girls." Syr gave me a wink before leaving into the crowd once more. Um, I suppose? Hope the food here is good.

God, do I hate these parties. Ganesha hosts them like once a month for the Gods to get along or some shit. I usually skip em, but I kinda had a mission today. However, I gotta say hello to the important people first. "FREYYYAAA!" I spotted the silver haired Goddess of Beauty near the buffet. As I rushed down though, I unfortunately caught an eyeful of a certain disgusting creature wearing what seemed to be clothes picked out from a dumpster. "And it's Chibi, I guess."
"Ugh, what do you want Loki." Chibi's response to my greeting absolutely drowned out Freya's hello. Her twin tailed, black hair bobbing around along with...I want to kill her. "Whatever, this is perfect. Loki, do you know if that Wallenwaitsits has a partner or anything?"
"HA?! What the hell did you ask me pipsqueak?! She's my favorite human right now! Any guy who dares look at her, gets castrated!" There isn't a chance in hell that I'm gonna let anyone touch my sweet little Ais! Chibi sucked her teeth at my answer and tried to kick me in the shins. "Oh, what? Can't punch me? Guess I am too high up."
"Well... Loki." Freya stepped between us before it got anymore serious. "You're dressed quite nicely today. You don't normally come looking so glamorous." True, I don't really bother changing whenever I feel like showing up to these parties. My slim black dress was just burning a hole in my closet. Well there are other reasons.
"Well today I've got a little business to handle, but it is an extra bonus to flex on the poor little Chibi who can't even afford a dress." Chibi looked up at me with a glint in her eyes that I unfortunately recognized.
"Really Loki? Well it's a shame because you seem to have forgotten the most important part of your dress..." No. Don't do it. Don't say it! "YOU FORGOT YOUR CHEST!"
"I'LL KILL YOU!" I grabbed the shithead by the cheeks and started thrashing her around. But, as I was throwing her, I noticed my target. "UGH. I'll let you off easy this time." I dropped Chibi on the ground and started to walk towards my target. Not at all because I was ashamed of what the Chibi had and what I didn't. Not at all...
On the entire other side of Ganesha's mansion was the woman that I had come here to see. In an elegant red dress that was honestly enticing. The way it complemented her scarlet hair... Calm down there, Loki! We're here for business! It was my buddy! Hephaestus, the god of metalworking. "Loki, what a pleasant surprise. How are you doing today?"
"I was doing just peachy, till I met with the Chibi. But! Now that you're here, my day is once again amazing!" Hephaestus must have recognized what I was after cuz she sighed.
"What do you want Loki? I actually want to enjoy this party." I let out a sigh of my own. Well there goes the buttering up phase.
"Hey, Hepey-chan. You wouldn't mind, say, making me a weapon right?"
"What? Doesn't the Sword Princess have a perfectly good rapier? Plus the last time I made a weapon specificity for you, I ended up making a monstrosity."
"Well, it isn't exactly for Ais. You see, I got a new kid who joined and he doesn't really have much of a weapon of his own. So maybe you can make him some gloves or something?"
"No. Just get him a weapon from one of my familia." Hephaestus outright refused me. Before I could speak again, she put her hand in front of her. "I'm not exactly taking any commissions right now. Plus that last one...just get that weapon back. Didn't the guy you had me make it for go into retirement or something?"
"I..." A pain surged in my chest, something that I was used to feeling but... "The Reaper is gone." Hephaestus' single eye widened for a second.
"I'm sorry."
"It's-" I coughed into my hand to calm myself down. "It's fine. The newbie that I picked up is his kid." Hephaestus cringed once again. "I know. But I'mma take care of this kid! So can you?"
"I... I'll think about it, Loki. Okay?"
"That's enough for me."
"Sorry about-"
"It's fine." The red haired goddess bowed before moving to get something to eat, leaving me alone to my thoughts. I need a drink. Or ten.

Adventurer
I got back to the Loki mansion sometime shortly after dark. Mia just won't stop shoving food down my throat! Well it was cheap and delicious so I can't complain... "ugh, I feel like I'm gonna puke."
"Are you feeling okay, Viole?" As I was trying my best to walk down the hallway, the Sword Princess had just come out of her own room. "You don't look too good."
"Thank you for the concern, Ais. I just had too much to eat is all..."
"I see, you went to the House of Fertility for the first time." The fact that Ais knew what led me to this situation means that it happens far too often. "Would you like some help with your room?"
"That'd be great actually." Ais came up to me and put my arm over her shoulder. She practically carried me to my room. "Thanks for the help." I walked in, dropped the red sweater I was wearing, instead of the armored coat for casual wear, onto a chair and sat down on my bed. "Say, Ais." Ais was about to leave the room but stopped when I called out to her. "You're strong, right? What...do you fight for exactly?"
"I fight for my family." She came in and sat next to me. "I fight to protect the people important to me and...to make my own family proud. What about you?" Her amber eyes were looking through me once again.
"I would say the same but I highly doubt my dad would be proud of me right now. I-"
"I don't agree." Ais put her hand on my shoulder. "Whatever differences the two of you had, or the reasons for why you came to Orario, I'm sure that your family would be proud. They have to. I do not know for how long, but you have clearly been training to get here, and it's paid off."
"You know, your speech is amazing and all but it really doesn't hit home when you don't emote..." I say though labored breaths and tears. Abby... "Thanks Ais." The blond gave me a small smile before the sound of a door opening took both of our attention.
"Viooooole! Tell me, what kinda weapons...would...you...what are you two doing?" Loki, wearing a black dress, came into my bedroom. Obviously drunk off her ass. It's only eight.
"Nothing." With that, Ais bowed to Loki and left my room. Leaving me and the drunken goddess alone.
"That was nothing, don't worry about it." I quickly wipe away the tears and cough into my hand. "So what was that Loki? Something bout a weapon?"
"..." Loki stared at me for a second before laughing. For a while. Like a long while. "I miss Angra." She...misses dad? What kinda... no. She's a goddess. It's only natural for a god to care about their children. Dad did visit often after all.
"...me too, Loki. I miss Mom and Abby..."
"..." She stared at me for another minute before shaking her head. "I'm sorry. I'm drunk, let me just get out of your hair." Loki made a 180 before turning to face me once again. "As for Ais...whatever."
"Huh?"
"Whatever."
