A/N: Hey everyone :) Another update for you. And I got to say, I did not expect the reviews. I'm shocked how much people are supporting Faith. I'm shock cause people don't normally like OCs. But I'm also super happy that my OC is loved by you readers 3 Anywho…just want to warn you guys that things are gonna get worst before they get better.
Like the summary said, "Love is not true unless it's been tested." I wanted a story where people don't give up on love even when they experience pain and hardships. Instead, their love, character, and relationships grow because they did not give up.
So! It might be different from what you're expecting but I hope you continue reading :)

Chapter 25: Anomaly
GREECE. 1ST CENTURY B.C.
Where am I?
Caleb stared at an unfamiliar ceiling made of wood. Half dazed, half aware, he looked around and found himself in what looked like a cabin. Feeling disoriented by his surroundings, he took a deep breath to calm himself.
The last thing he remembered was being in the barracks waiting to return home. The Allied forces had won the battle. China had managed to push back the remnants of the Japanese army. He was waiting to be discharged and was ready to head back home.
So where was he now?
It looked like some sort of ancient stone cabin you would find in the history books.
Caleb let out a groan as he tried to get out of the bed.
Just as he did, the door to his room creaked as it opened.
In stepped a tall, brown-skinned woman carrying a tray.
She was dressed in a blue Grecian dress with brown locks that came to her waist.
"Oh good, you're awake. You must be hungry." Her voice was deep and strong. She set down a tray of food and drink by his bedside as she spoke.
"Who are you? Where am I?" Caleb questioned as he attempted to move.
"Careful." She said as she helped him sit up in the bed.
He message his temple as he felt the beginning of a headache.
"That's what I should be asking you." The woman said and sat on the chair beside him.
Upon a closer look, she had big brown eyes, a round nose and full lips.
She peered at him curiously.
"What's your name?"
"Caleb." He replied.
"Kelubai. Dog." She sneered at the meaning of his name.
"It also means faithful, whole-hearted, brave." He rebutted. When he first found out that his name could mean dog, he had resented his mother a bit. But when his father sat him down and explained what his name really meant, he had been determined to live by those words.
Seemingly taken aback, the woman changed the topic.
"We found you out in the woods passed out. What happened to you?"
Caleb groaned again as he tried to remember. Nothing was coming to mind that explained his current situation.
"You better eat and rest some more." She gestured to the food and stood up to leave.
"Wait," Caleb called out, stopping her at the door. "What's your name?"
She smiled at him and answered.
"My name is Qetsiyah."

He was certainly handsome.
That strange, foreign man they found on their journey.
Caleb looked so different from the men she knew. He had an exotic look, black hair, and a slim but muscular frame.
That was what partly drew her to him.
The other reason she was drawn to him was his magic.
It was not like any magic that she had ever seen. She knew he was supernatural but she didn't know what he was. She did not recognize it or understood it, but it was magic nonetheless. The witch in her was making her curious so she had been spending every opportunity with him.
She had been annoyed at first when he refused her attempts to interact with him. He was much more conservative than the people she knew and often avoided being alone with her.
However, his attitude made her want to tease him all the more. Every time she saw the chance, she would cling to him. And every time she touched him, he would jump away. It delighted her to see the usually stoic man blush like a maiden.
The more she spent time with him, the more she grew fond of the man.

At first, Caleb was surprised about everything that happened to him. Then surprise turned to puzzlement.
It had been weeks since he arrived in ancient Greece. From being in 1945 Shanghai, he had travelled back in time to 1st Century B.C. Athens. Many strange things had occurred since and he had many questions.
Why did he come to the past? How was he able to understand the language?
He had never spoken Greek his entire life. Moreover, this world had magic. He found that out when he caught a glimpse of Qetsiyah practicing it.
Qetsiyah.
The beautiful woman who saved him. If it wasn't for her, who knows what would have happened to him. Qetsiyah had taken him in and made him welcomed. It was her who comforted him in this alien land.
She was a bold and amazing woman who knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to go for it. It was different from the meek, quiet girls he had known in the past.
He didn't quite know how to act around her. What's more, she would often tease him about his reserved nature, often to the point of his embarrassment.
But the thing that worried him the most was that he found himself falling for her more and more each passing day.

Caleb and Qetsiyah sat beneath the tree and watched the stars. They sat side by side and shared a blanket to keep them warm against the cold night.
Months had passed since they first met. No one would have guessed that the proud and arrogant Qetsiyah would fall for the humble, down-to-earth Caleb. Qetsiyah herself would have laughed at the thought.
Caleb watched the stars in wonder. Their worlds may be different, but the stars remained the same. He turned away from the stars and looked down at the face of Qetsiyah beside him.
Noticing his gaze, she faced him and smiled.
"I love you." He said adoringly.
"I love you too." She whispered back.

OUR WORLD. 2018 A.D.
Jacob – or otherwise, known as Henrik – closed the journal he was reading
He knew what would happen after.
He had read Caleb's journal many times now.
Caleb would mysteriously vanish from Qetsiyah's world that same year and re-appear in 1945 Shanghai in a hospital bed. He would wake up and be told that he had been in a coma all that time.
According to the journals, Caleb had tried to forget everything and pass it off as a dream. But Caleb couldn't quite come to grips with it and passed away shortly. There were rumours saying he passed because of a mental illness. But from his journal entries, it seemed more likely he died of heartbreak.
Jacob put the journal in a box along with the rest of the other journals. He was preparing to give them to Faith.
It had been years since he had arrived in this world. He had changed from the boy who he used to be. Henrik Jacob Mikaelson was no longer a viking from the 10th century but a priest living in the 21st century.
When he and Kol had gone out the night of the full moon, something happened. Henrik was attacked by one of the wolves and had died. At least, he thought he died. He had awakened in an emergency room in Atlanta. At first, he had been disoriented about what happened. Later on, he discovered that he had travelled to a different world.
Fortunately for him, he was adopted by a nice couple and he started going by Jacob. Just as he was adapting to this world, he came across the Vampire Diaries show and it shocked him.
He started researching the show and how he came to be in this world. From what he found out, Caleb was one of few beings capable of traveling across time and space. An interdimensional being. With great difficulty, he found other stories of people who have travelled between worlds. Most of them described it as falling through a crack in space and time.
The ghost writer for the TVD show was one such being. She had travelled to the world of TVD in the year 2030. Returning from that world, she had begun to write about the stories of the Salvatores, Petrovas, Mikaelsons, and all the other characters involved. Of course, she didn't know all the details of what happened, only what she'd learnt through their descendants.
Faith was another such being. Jacob had traced Caleb's lineage all the way down to Faith. It was the same Faith the Mikaelsons encountered in 1000 A.D. It was also the same Faith that he had come across in the rural church he was serving as priest in.
It seems that the Faith he met this world had not travelled to the TVD world yet. Jacob was gathering all his research and giving it to her hoping that it would help her when the time comes.
In all the stories that he came across, they all had one thing in common. Each and every time a being found themselves in the other world, nature tried everything in its power to get rid of them. It was like nature was reacting to an anomaly in its system and was rejecting their very presence.
Based on his predictions, Faith would soon be traveling to the TVD world. He didn't want to reveal too much to Faith in case it changes things. But he hoped the journals and research would help her somewhat.
He sensed from the past that Faith had been trying to help his family. She had probably watched the TVD show and had wanted to change things for the better. And for that, he was grateful. But he was also worried about what nature would do to Faith. From the journals, he came to the conclusion that nature would not tolerate anything that disturbs her world. When Caleb and Qetsiyah fell in love it changed things and triggered the expulsion of Caleb from Qetsiyah's world. Nature would put a stop to any anomalies.
Jacob did not know how much Faith could change what has already been determined. Nonetheless, he hoped against hope that the girl would be able to change the horrible fates of the Mikaelson family.

GREECE. 1ST CENTURY B.C.
Qetsiyah sat alone in the bustling tavern.
She was drowning her sorrows in alcohol, trying to forget the man that had walked out on her. She should have known better. Things had been going great Caleb. They had confessed their love for one another. Then he had disappeared as suddenly as he had appeared.
The sad thing was, that might have been the first time she had ever loved a man.
She took a big gulp of ale from the tankard in her hands.
If she ever falls in love again, she would never let it go.
As the night dragged on, a man came up to her and sat in the sit beside her.
"Hello beautiful." He had short brown curls, pale skin and was dressed like a nobleman.
"Get lost." Qetsiyah snapped at him.
"Oh c'mon," The man pretended to be hurt then he grinned. "My name's Silas, what's yours?"
