Sora wasn't a complete idiot. He knew what was happening to him as the Darkness continued to slowly seep in. He knew that Maleficent knew as well , so he wasn't too surprised when she summoned him into the main chamber.
He was suprized, however, to find the evil farie's royal room crawling with Shadows as he entered it. The Heartless looked at him with their yellow eyes, peering at him warily. He heard his mistress clear her throat, and crawled towards the throine, where the witch sat.
Maleficent gestured towards him. "Come now Sora, rise. There is no need to abase yourself here."
Skeptical, the boy got into a kneeling position. When nothing happened, he slowly stood. The witch smiled softly.
"Good, that's better. Now, these Shadows are quite annoying. Rid us of them."
Now Sora was really suspicious. He stayed motionless, wary of some trick. He burned to attack, but it had been ingrained into him not to use his weapon in the presence of his captor, lest she harm his friends.
"Go on my pet. Rid this room of the Heartless, and then I will tell you why I've summoned you here."
He gurgled at her warily, narrowing his eyes. She laughed off his reluctance and assured him. "You may do as I command this once without reprocussion, I assure you."
Satisfied, Sora summoned the Keyblade and, with great relish, began destroying the swarming shadows.
Maleficent watched him closely as he wielded the hated weapon with his usual gusto. There was something different in his style. Sora was never one for finesse or grace in his weildin. However, to her delight, there was more than the usual aggressiveness to the hero's style.
By forbidding him to use the weapon in her presence, even when Heartless popped in now and thern, the witch had cut off one of Sora's outlets for the stress he was no doubt under. Doing this also prevented the Keyblade from releasing the rage it held against the Darkness, channeling it instead into Sora. The boy refused to unleash it, and so he bottled it up.
Now all that rage was finally being released, along with several weeks worth of stress. Not only that, but the growling and low, ferocious barking from the hero made it very clear that some of the lurking hatred she knew was there was showing itself as well.
After the Heartless were disposed of, Sora instantly became calm again, un-summoning the Keyblade quickly. Maleficent smiled again and gestured for him to come to her. He did as she asked and she rewarded him.
By seizing his throat and choking him into submission, then forcing him to his knees.
Releasing her hold on his windpipe, and moving her gnarled hand to the hero's jaw, she stared into his thoroughly confused blue eyes. "Show me Sora! Show me your hatred. Yesss...show me your contempt. There! There they are, bubbling just out of reach. There's the Darkness...there's my son!"
Sora whimpered, confusion giving way to a small bit of fear as the witch continued to basicly fawn over his inner torments. At the same time, he accepted the examination. This was the price he'd decided to pay. He would pay it, no matter the additional cost.
"I have such plans for you, my boy." Malefiucent purred at him "Riku was right when he said that this irony was the best form of vengeance I could ever ask for: the great hero of Light, destined to rule the Darkness!"
Sora squirmed, not liking the concept at all, but mainly struggling because his mistress's grip had increased to a rather uncomfortable level, and he felt trapped. The more he struggled, the tighter she gripped him, her cackle echoing through the chamber and his head, rising in pitch as she once again gripped his throat and drew him close to her face.
"Oh stop your whining would you! This came as no surprise...unless Riku neglected to tell you, wich I know is not the case."
Sora hissed at her and went limp. The Witch released him and cackled as he caught his breath, gasping loudly. She then stroked his cheek with a gnarled finger, caressing his jawline while infecting him with a small dose of her Dark Touch, paralyzing him for the moment.
"Just look at you." She cooed almost endearingly, "You don't realize the vast rewards you will receive, my dear boy. All your suffering, all your humiliation, all of your abasing...it will all be worth every second once you take your place at my side. You're mine, Sora! Soon, you'll be mine to me. My successor. My son. The Prince of ALL EVIL! Then my revenge will finally be complete!"
She cackled madly, then calmed herself, forcing Sora into a deep sleep while guiding him to the floor at her feet.
"Not for much longer will you be forced into that position. Figuratively or literally. Rest now Sora. Rest."
