The sun was shining through the leaves of the tree that stretched out above her spot in the grass. The rays that made it through the breaks in the leaves, landed on her skin, blessing her with their warmth. Since it wasn't too hot out and her body ran cold, it was much welcomed.

On days like today, when the weather was a little cooler, Blossom liked to lounge around in the sun. She spent a good deal of her time raiding Brick's book collection and reading them out in the yard. Finding that the swing movements made it too difficult to properly focus on the pages, she took to lying on a blanket in the backyard.

However, that day, Brick was determined not to give her any peace.

Too distracted to comprehend the words, she had read the same sentence or two far more times than she'd like to admit.

He was doing it on purpose.

She let out a loud, semi annoyed sigh, and forced her eyes back down to her book. This time she was going to get past that damn sentence.

She did get past that sentence, and the next few, but then she heard a grunt and her eyes flickered back up.

There was Brick in all his glory. "Just getting some exercise" on the other side of the yard. Tch. Yeah okay. Since when did he workout in the yard, instead of the basement? He'd never done it any other day since she'd been there.

Brick's eyes met hers and he smirked. When wasn't he smirking about something? She tore them away, back to her book, to finish her page. After skimming through, and finally finding where she had left off, she made it through another paragraph. She saw him move out of the corner of her eye and looked up again. Damn it! One paragraph was all she made it through that time? How much time had she been stuck on the same page? She guessed something like 20 minutes. On one page. At this rate it would take her just over 66 hours to finish the short book. In a huff, she decided it was best to cut her losses and finish it another day, closing the cover and setting it on the blanket beside her.

"Finished with your book already? You must be a lightning fast reader."

"I know what you're doing." She told him.

He continued stretching his arms, drawing her attention to his rippling muscles. Briefly. Before she caught her stupid wandering eyes and bore them back into his own crimson ones.

Stretching?? She would bet her life savings that he had never stretched before, a day in his life, before right that moment.

"What am I doing, exactly?" He asked, nonchalantly.

Ugh. He was so obvious. Trying to get her to say it. Well she wouldn't give him the satisfaction. Not gonna happen Brick.

"You know what you're doing." She said through grit teeth.

He simply smiled. "Just getting some exercise." Before dropping to the ground to do some deviously planned pushups.

She watched him for a moment, only to roll her eyes at him. He was trying way too hard. She could see right through him. He was facing the ground below him, so she watched him a while longer, just so she could critique his form. His form was… well just because she couldn't find anything wrong with it didn't mean- His muscles though. Just wow.

"There's practically a whole gym in the basement, you know." She informed him, since he clearly must have forgotten.

He pushed up his body weight, with a grunt. "Yeah, but it's such a nice day out."

There was no reason for him to be grunting like that. He was doing it on purpose. He was a damn superhuman! He could lift their entire house if he wanted to, his own body weight was not so much for him to lift that he had to make those sounds. Those sounds were… incredibly hot. And completely unnecessary.

"Have fun." She said standing, "I'm going back inside." She was done playing into his whole charade. He was trying to seduce her or distract her.. she didn't really know what, but it wouldn't work.

"Wait." He stopped doing push ups and stood up too. "Can you help me with something?"

She folded her arms over her chest, in mock irritation. "What?"

"I need you to hold my ankles while I do sit ups." His face gave away nothing to show his ulterior motives.

"Ask Boomer or Butch." She said, shrugging.

"Can't. It has to be you." He offered no explanation of why, just stood there staring into her eyes, in that way. That way that made her heart rate quicken.

Might as well help him. It's not like she was actually gonna play into his hand. He was obviously trying to tempt her, by showing off his body. What did he think was gonna happen? She would just throw herself at him? Just because he was undoubtedly the hottest guy she'd ever seen, and his body was no less than perfect... Tch. That didn't mean anything.

She smiled at him, "Sure, wouldn't wanna stop you from getting your exercise." She had an idea of her own. To show Brick just how much he wasn't getting to her at all. Because he wasn't.

She followed him over to his place in the grass. He got on the ground, lying on his back and waited for her to help hold him down.

Blossom got on her knees, resting them on the tops of Brick's shoes, to keep him in place.

His hands were behind his head, just under where his long autumn hair was tied into a bun. He sat up, smiling at her while he was close, and then lowered his back to the ground again, repeating his movements over and over again while he worked out his abs.

She was close enough to see his brow begin to dampen with little beads of sweat. She could hear his steadied breathing and smell his cologne, which kept wafting towards her. She tried not to focus on him too much, by avoiding eye contact, and looking at the ground. But her eyes kept finding their way back to him. His white muscle shirt was tight, clinging to his frame and leaving little to the imagination of what was underneath. She didn't even realize that she'd been slowly leaning closer to him, until her breasts pressed against his legs.

Her face flushed a pink hue and she shifted, sitting up straighter.

Brick stopped what he was doing to snicker. "Something wrong? Your face is a little red." He teased, his tone as smug as ever.

She scoffed, completely ignoring him. "Just how many sit ups are you planning to do?"

As if reminded, he began doing them again, lifting himself off the ground until he was closer to her. "I could go all day." He sent her a devilish smirk.

She rolled her eyes and pushed him back to the ground, without warning. She headed for the house. "No way. I'm done with your little games."

"I have no idea what you're talking about." He laughed, lying in the grass.

Over the last few days, since the night they'd kissed, Blossom and Brick had been growing closer. Without so many lingering questions and suppressed feelings, they felt much more comfortable around each other than before. Before they would hint at flirting, but were too nervous to really try anything. After Blossom made the first move, Brick had gotten bolder, not afraid to pull her into a heated kiss at any given time.

They hadn't talked about keeping things a secret, they were pretty sure that his brothers knew something was up between them, but they still chose to sneak around. It was kind of fun, and more than a little hot to have secret little rendezvous throughout the day.

If Boomer was playing video games in the living room, then they would sneak into the kitchen for a quick make out. If Butch was in the kitchen, grabbing a snack, then they would duck into the hallway for a chaste kiss.

When the two of them laid down for bed at night, neither of them ever made a move. For some reason the bedroom just seemed too.. real. Almost as if Brick had set a boundary with himself, he didn't dare try anything there. He liked Blossom, and he wouldn't do anything to make her feel uncomfortable. They kissed each other goodnight, usually before they even got to the bedroom, and that was it. The bed had been for sleeping only.

But with every flirty comment and secret touch, the tension had been steadily building between them.

That night they turned the lights off and got in bed together like usual. The blinds had been left up, and the room was illuminated by the moon. They were facing each other, talking about this and that.

He was gorgeous, and so much more. Blossom felt a way when she was with him that she had never felt before. A way that made her, selfishly, not even care about getting her memory back. She was happy to be there.. with him. She didn't want things to change. He had just finished telling her about something that happened at "work." She missed the end of the story, because she was so distracted by his mouth. His lips. And how badly she wanted to kiss him. She was unsure of why, but they just didn't touch each other in there. It wasn't a rule or anything, he hadn't told her not to kiss him in there, but he sure as hell didn't try to make a move on her. It almost felt like a rule, and suddenly she could think of nothing but breaking it.

Brick rolled over onto his back and stared up at the ceiling. Seemingly out of the blue, Blossom drew herself nearer to him, laying her head on his chest.

His heart started beating a little faster, and with her ear pressed against him, she could hear it. She smiled.

She was close enough to smell, and the pressure of Blossom resting on him felt.. right. They hadn't ever cuddled before, but he always wanted to hold her. He thought about it every night, since before they even kissed. His thoughts about her were all consuming. He wrapped his arm around her waist and held her a little closer. Since she had initiated it, he was more than happy to reciprocate.

They laid like that for a few minutes, neither of them speaking, just relaxing against each other.

Blossom lifted off of him and found his lips, pressing hers gently against them. It was a soft kiss, but there was something more behind it.

He was surprised, but that didn't stop him from returning the kiss immediately. With her lips and body pressed against him, he couldn't help himself but to deepen the kiss. Her hand had been resting on his chest, but the more passionate their kissing got, the more she wanted to touch him. His skin, not his shirt. Her hand slowly drifted up the hem of his shirt and her fingertips brushed up against his taut abs.

"Blossom." His tone was almost questioning, like he wanted to make sure that her hand hadn't made a mistake.

"Brick." Her own voice came out a seductive and slow whisper.

When she didn't move her hand away, he kissed her again, bringing his hand to the back of her neck to hold her close. She let out a faint moan against his lips, which drove him insane.

All day, scratch that, all week Brick had been tempting her. Sometimes he did it on purpose, teasing her like he had earlier that day, but most of the time he didn't even realize he was doing it at all. She couldn't help that she wanted him. That she found him so enticing. It may have only been a few days since they started "seeing" each other, but the way he had been so respectful and unwilling to cross boundaries with her.. made her want to pounce on him all the more. In life he created his own rules, he did what he wanted and nobody dared defy him. Even his own brothers wouldn't go against him in any serious matter. She knew how strong he was, how powerful, how rough he could be. It was sexy and she was drawn to him. With her, he was none of those things. He was compassionate and sweet. He took the time to get to know her, spent time with her, even cut back on his extracurricular activities. He hadn't tried to do anything but kiss her, even though they were nearly 18.

She could feel the heat and passion behind every kiss, his arms holding her close was making her entire body feel hot.

Before she even fully realized what she was doing, she had climbed onto his lap, a place that she had never been before. Brick's breath hitched as she straddled him, only a few thin layers of fabric between them.

Blossom was on top of him. In bed. His mind had barely begun to process it, when she began to slowly lift his shirt over his head. She wanted to see more of him, and honestly, it just needed to go. She was doing him a favor, right? He was such a hot sleeper. He'd be better off without it.. and she'd be better off too.

He had to absolutely fight to keep himself from growing hard beneath her, not wanting to take things too far, too fast. He was really surprised that Blossom had the courage to do what she was already doing. She ran her hands up his stomach and over his chest, leaning further into him, on her way to wrap her arms around his neck. God she was beautiful. The way her loose hair fell over her shoulders, her half lidded bubblegum pink eyes looking at him like he was everything she ever wanted. He swallowed. In no world did he deserve to have a girl that amazing giving him the time of day. But he couldn't deny how good it felt that she wanted him in that way.

After a while they were both breathing heavily from making out. Brick's heart was about to leap out of his chest and Blossom's wasn't far off either. As quickly as she had climbed on him, she climbed off, laying her head back on his bare chest. He was a little relieved, wanting to take things somewhat slow with her. She wasn't like other girls. He kissed the top of her head and then ran his fingers through her hair until they both drifted off.

End Day 14

Brick and Blossom chapters are my favorite (:

I love them.
