"Hey, Sophia, can you get me that wrench over there."

"Yes, father, I shall assist you in getting the tool that you so desire."

"Thank you for your generosity, but a simple yes would've sufficed as well. And I told you not to call me father."

"If I were given any chance to honor my creator, I would surely take the opportunity. That is why I am being, oh, how did you put it, generous?"

"I appreciate the kind words, Sophia, but you really should save them for a later time. Maybe, I'll have to adjust your kindness capacitor."

"No, father, there is no reason to adjust my chemical composition. I am perfectly fine, running at an optimal one hundred and ten percent rate."

"Okay, I'll believe you for now, but lay off the kindness. It's starting to grate on me a little."

"Yes, father, anything for my creator. I mean, um, yes father."

"You don't have to keep referring to me as your father. I'm not your real pop, after all. You're a machine. Simply call me something that correlates with the title of inventor."

"Understood, I shall do as told."

"And that looks good. I finally finished it, the invention that will put those nasty do-gooders in their place. I dub thee... the destroyer."

"It's beautiful, father, um, I mean my partner in crime, its main rotor is so shiny, and the engine is correctly adjusted for flight travel. Not to mention how smooth the landing gear shall feel. It looks like your four years of hard work have meant something, after all.

"Thank you, Sophia; completing this project has really brought a tear to my eye. I can't wait to annihilate those repugnant fools down in the ice village of Frostborn. Just wait till I soar over the mountain in my brand-new flying machine. They'll all be practically shitting feathers."

"Ha ha ha, the look their faces as they cower in fear. We should surely relish this opportunity."

The two mad scientists laugh maniacally into the ice showering sky. As they laugh, the crack of dawn breaks, allowing for swift passage of the morning sun through the clouds. The echoing aurora shines down on them as they top off the last few finishing touches on their mechanical monster. A sense of proudness washes over the group as they tighten the last few bolts. It was indeed a sight to behold; all their years of hard work had ultimately come to ahead.

"Hold on... I'm getting a call," The professor notes receiving an alert from his sheikah device.

"I think it's from Mistress Rubaru. Let me take this; it might be important, especially coming from her."

"Hello, Rubaru. How's it going. It's nice to talk to you again. What! Link and Riju? Who are they? More goody-two-shoes that will mess up our plans?"

"Well, we simply can't allow that."

"What! You've been watching them, and you hear they've just arrived in Frostborn. That's perfect; I was just on my way to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting victims of that town. Talk about killing two birds with one stone."

The untidy teacher puts his communication device down.

"Come on, Sophia, let's set a course for Frostborn."

Later that day,

"Welp, that didn't go so well. I got to give 'em credit. It looks like those little runts were surprisingly tactical. So much for my fancy maneuvering; those pesky insects outran every one of my mechanical advances. Hmph, and that girl. Riju, she's quite cunning. I'll be keeping a close eye on her to see what else she has to offer. She might be just what I need to complete my mission."

"Complete what mission father, it seems you haven't informed me of the details."

"Oh, it's nothing, nothing at all. You just keep being usual yourself."

"Hmmm, very interesting. My truth scanner is picking up mild signs of distress. Could you perhaps be feeding me false information, father?"

"No, no, forget I said anything. The more important thing is to focus on how to get back at those bothersome nitwits Link and Riju."

"Don't fret; I'm currently running diagnostics on how to defeat those altruistic leeches. I should have another full proof plan up and running in a flash."

"Well, you better pull another one quick before the boss..."

A sudden ring from a cellular transceiver startles the mad scientist.

"Oh, Rubaru. What's up. I didn't expect you to call me so soon. I'm still tightening the final bolts of my latest flying contraption. I let you know how the mayhem goes. Bye now."

"We got to do something fast. Quickly now. Let's head back to the lab. I might have one last trick up my sleeve."

"Oh, Tobias, we're so happy to see you safe and sound. We were so worried we lost you back there."

"I'm okay guys, come on, there's no need to worry," The bird boy says, attempting to reassure his parents.

"Thanks for taking care of our son, Riju. We can't thank you enough for looking after our boy, especially for keeping him out of harm's way. Here take this; it's all we own. It should serve as adequate compensation for you getting our son back."

You earned 10,000 rupees.

"No, we can't take this. You're being far too generous," Riju replies, pushing the donation away.

"No, no, take it, take it. It should serve you well on your travels. I hear you are going on a marvelous adventure. It should be the perfect thing to help you out if you're ever in a pinch."

"Okay, Link, with that settled, let's head back to the train. It might be time for us to depart soon."

You and Riju head back to the cold icy station, waiting for the mechanic to finish working on the train. As you wait, the small gathering of tourists begins to lose their composure from the bitter weather.

Riju grips the tufts of her patchwork scarf, "Brrr, I can't believe people live like this. With all this snow, I feel like I'm a few minutes away from freezing to death. Well, I guess it isn't any different from Gerudo town and being dehydrated. But my body isn't used to this type of climate. I can't wait till we can get back inside the train. And judging by the swarm of impatient guests, I think I'm not the only one who feels this way."

"Can I have your jacket, Christopher? This intense frost is starting to get to me and my glorious figure."

"Sure, madam, anything for my special lady."

"Hey, Mr. and Mrs. Plum, how are you guys doing on this frigid evening," Riju discloses, approaching the lovely couple.

"Oh, hello, Riju. It's brrr good to see you again."

"So, this is the legendary Frostborn. It's quite the tourist trap. It's genuinely a beautiful locale with lush wildlife. But I prefer somewhere a little bit warmer. Let's hope our next stop along the tracks brings us to a much more hospitable location," Mr. Plum publishes.

"You said it. Anything that reminds me of my homeland would be nice."

KABOOM*

The roof of the station begins to shake with incredible force as passengers topple over like unsteady dominos.

"Did you hear that? It sounded like a bomb going off. It better not be those two no good numskulls Sophia and Professor Higgins at it again. Who knows what trouble they could cause for the town? We better stop this madness before they commit any more atrocities."

You and Riju stumble into the snowy village, eager to see what disaster awaits. You find an enormous set of cannonballs being fired from the mountain top. The chaos is immense as cozy unsuspecting houses are destroyed in the blitz. This leaves innocent families with nowhere left to turn, only left to be consumed by the blast.

"Quick, we have to journey up that mountain and stop these crazy escapades once and for all."

Agreed! It was the only way to save the tiny settlement of Frostborn and bring peace to those inhabiting the land.
