"Hurry up Yuki! We don't want to be late." Shigure yelled right when Kyo was passing in front of him.
"Dame it Shigure you don't need to yell!" Kyo yelled right back.
Tohru could hear them all the way in the kitchen. She couldn't help but smile. She then started humming a little tune as she went about making Kyo's favorite, fried Salmon. It was just her and Kyo tonight as Yuki and Shigure were going to the main house for the New Year's celebration.
Soon Yuki and Shigure left leaving Kyo and Tohru alone. An hour later, lighting flashed and the house went black. Kyo jumped to his feet as he heard Tohru scream.
"Tohru? Tohru were are you?"
"In here?" He heard Torhu say in a shaky voice. He then guessed that she was in the kitchen. He then slowly made his way back to the kitchen.
She was standing in front of a window; He slowly made his way there. Tohru was shaking. "Tohru? He called. She spun around and once she saw who it was she relaxed.
"Come here and give me your hand. We'll search for candles and flash lights together." Key said trying to keep his cool.
"I..I'm scared Kyo." Kyo stopped dead cold. She had just called him Kyo. Not Kyo-kun but Kyo. A warm feeling traveled up his back.
He then squeezed her hand and whispered "I'll protect you." Then they set out to find candles.
Soon they had the whole living room lit with candles. Tohru had insisted that she make something for Kyo, so Kyo and Tohru sat on the couch munching on sardine sandwiches.
She didn't know which was more nerve wrecking, the thunder and lightning or the intensity of the glances that Kyo kept giving her. She had a feeling that something was on his mind.
"Kyo?" Tohru asked.
"Yeah?" He replied not looking at her.
"What's wrong? You seemed really quiet. I…I mean I want you to be able to trust me, but if you don't…" Kyo cut her of by putting his figures on her lips. The intensity of his gaze sent shivers up her spine. 'If this is love I love it.' She thought.
"Tohru." He whispered.
"Yes?" Her reply was barely audible.
He then leaned in and kissed her. He jabbed his tongue into her mouth. He placed his hands on the back of her head and in the small of her back. She moaned into his mouth and wrapped her arms around his neck.
Soon they had to pull away but only because they would have passed out from lack of air. Their foreheads rested against each other. Kyo looked at Tohru. Her mouth was opened a little bit while her chest heaved for breath. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever laid eyes on. Scratch that, the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
"Tohru." He whispered again.
"I love you Kyo. I love you so much." Tohru whispered.
"Tohru. My sweet, sweet Tohru. I love you so dame much." Kyo whispered. Hten hi kissed her. Tohru thought for sure she would melt from the intensity of the kiss.
"All of the sudden Kyo went rigid. Tohru pulled away and saw that Kyo's face was white and his eye's were squeezed shut. His grip on her was deathly. All of the sudden all the windows and doors crashed open and wind flew all over the place making Tohru scream. She squeezed her eye's shut and clung to Kyo.
A few seconds later all was still. All the window's and doors were shut. Finaly Kyo's grip lessened and his eyes opened. Tohru was hugging Kyo for dear life with her eyes squeezed shut. Kyo didn't transform.
"It's… It's gone." Kyo said. "The…the curse… it's gone." Tohru opened her eyes. When she saw that she was hugging Kyo and nothing happened a smile spread on her face. She looked up at Kyo.
She then sat up straighter and when there lips were but inches apart she whispered "No that it's gone I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Till angels close my eyes." She then kissed him passionately and they spent their first night together in each other's arms.
