Our Farewell
In my hands
She held the key to the place she once called home.
A legacy of memories
She kept them locked up in her head, just for her to see.
I can hear you say my name
His voice, calm even in the face of danger.
I can almost see your smile
And his face, that burst into laughter, always happy.
Feel the warmth of your embrace
When he hugged her, she felt whole.
But there is nothing but silence now
She remembered hearing him call her name.
Around the one I loved
She loved him from the moment he grabbed her hand.
Is this our farewell?
Goodbye, my Doctor.
Sweet darling you worry too much, my child
He always worried over her safety.
See the sadness in your eyes
She could see the horrors of the Time War reflected behind his eyes.

He had her.
