Sylvix Week 2021. Day 4. Borrowed Clothes.

Felix has always been stealing Sylvain's clothes, since they were children. Sylvain has always been enabling this behaviour, and doesn't regret it one bit.

Enjoy, and let me know what you think!

Day 4. Borrowed Clothes

Ever since he's been a child Felix loves wrapping himself in Sylvain's clothes. They're big, and warm, and they smell like Sylvain. Who smells like sweets and the outdoors and leather. And while Felix doesn't normally like sweets, he only likes the smell on Sylvain.

Every time Sylvain comes to visit, Felix ends up stealing some clothing from him, at some point, even as his father tells him not to, and Sylvain just laughs and finds it adorable, and Glenn rolls his eyes but doesn't say anything. Every time Sylvain visits, Felix ends up diving into a too-big sweater, or coat, or scarf, or whatever he can get his hands on.

Even when Sylvain sometimes brings some new clothes for Felix, that are the same size and colours as the ones he wears, Felix still snatches his clothes. When asked why, he simply says they're better.

Years later, the habit seems to wear off, as Felix becomes more closed off, after the Tragedy happens, and by the time they're attending Garreg Mach, he hasn't "borrowed" any of Sylvain's clothes for years. Sylvain has almost forgotten what it's like to not have access to his clothes.

Until the two of them get together, at which point Sylvain starts noticing some of his clothes going missing now and then. Sometimes, when he spends the night at Felix' room, he could swear he had a scarf with him when he came in, but can't find it when he's leaving, and then it shows up in his own room a few days later, as if it was there the whole time. This also happens with his sweaters, but not really anything else.

It's not difficult to figure out where they've been, especially since they come back smalling like pine, and spices, and sword cleaning oils. He can't help but grin at the thought of Felix sneaking off with his clothes because he's too embarrassed to ask to borrow them.

One morning, when Felix has spent the night in his room, Sylvain wakes up to the sight of Felix wearing one of his more causal shirts. It's far too big on him, reaching down to his mid-thighs and hanging loosely with one side threatening to slide down his shoulder. He looks smaller than normal, and combined with the loose hair falling around his face, he looks like nothing Sylvain has ever seen before.

He feels privileged to get to see Felix in his down-time like this. He can't take his eyes off him.

Felix must have felt Sylvain's eyes on him, because he turns around to glare at him.

"What are you staring at?" he demands to know. "And what's with that stupid, goofy grin?" he crosses his arms over his chest and turns his head to the side, as if trying to hide the embarrassment of getting caught.

"Mmmh, nothing." Sylvain grunts when he sits up, training his bleary eyes at Felix, still with the same goofy grin on his face. "I love it when you wear my clothes," he mutters, gesturing for Felix to come closer.

"Shut up," Felix mutters, a blush creeping up on his cheeks, but he does take the few steps required to bring him to the bed, where Sylvain grabs his hand and pulls him down on top of him.

"I love you," Sylvain says, pressing a kiss to that exposed collarbone.

"Idiot," Felix mutters, even as he makes himself comfortable and tucks his face against Sylvain's neck. "Love you too," he says so quietly, Sylvain would have missed it if Felix' mouth wasn't so close to his ear.

His grin gets even bigger as he wraps his arms around Felix. Felix can wear his clothes whenever he wants to.
