A/N: Hi all, I hope you are all doing well! I have been working my socks off over the past few weeks to make sure I have plenty of chapters ready to go. I've not done too bad really and I have got more written and ready. I just need to remember to post! Anyway, here is the start of a new adventure. I hope you like it.

The Doctor and Kari both charged into the TARDIS, both laughing away. "Oh… oh that was fantastic!" Kari called, rushing up to the console and starting to push buttons. "That was…"

"Amazing." The Doctor said, bounding upto join her. They had been having such a great time together, seeing so many different places and doing so many things. He was so pleased to see Kari so happy, to know that she was happy and safe. It meant everything to him.

Unfortunately, all that was about to come to an end as Kari stumbled a little, clutching her head. "Oh… oh no…" She mumbled, feeling the pain in her head grow as her eyes began to lose focus.

The Doctor was by her side in a heartbeat, holding onto her, keeping her steady. "Time you left me and these eyebrows." There was a sadness in his voice. It has been so long since he had last spent so much time with her, and he didn't want it to end yet, just like Kari didn't.

"I don't want to. I want to stay here, with those wild eyebrows that have a life of their own." She hated it so much when she had to leave, especially after they had been having such an amazing time together.

"I'm sorry. Be careful, look after me, and stay safe." He told her, before the light started building around her. "I love you, remember that."

Before Kari had a chance to reply, the light blinded her and the pounding in her head took over. She couldn't think, she couldn't see, and for a brief moment she thought she was going to be sick. Moments later, things started to settle down, and she heard voices around her.

"Nearly there!" A woman's voice called, one that Kari recognised, but just couldn't place. The noises all around her all seemed to be wrong. She could hear something hissing, and what sounded like the TARDIS engines grinding far too much.

"Are you sure you've got this under control?" This time it was a man, and a frown spread across Kari's face.

"Totally. New systems. Just running them in." The woman said, just as Kari opened her eyes and looked around. She was absolutely stunned when she realised that she was in the TARDIS, one that she hadn't visited before. Everything looked so different to the place that she had just left.

She went to stand up, but was thrown back down again, letting out a small yelp of surprise. That was what caught the attention of one of the four people standing around the console. "Uh, Doctor… I think you've got a visitor." A different man, a young man said, looking over at Kari.

Suddenly a woman with short, blonde hair came into Kari's line of sight. "Kari! Oh, you're here!" The woman called in excitement, rushing over to her and dragging her up from the floor. "I'm so glad you're back. I could use your expert help."

The next thing Kari knew she was being pulled to the console. Everything seemed to be a mess. "What have you done to her?" Kari asked, not happy with the state of the console. "Honestly, I can't leave you alone for five minutes before you start wrecking the place."

The blonde woman gave Kari a little nudge. "Oi! I'm not that bad. Am I?" All Kari could do was roll her eyes. "Come on, we need to get this lot home."

As the pair of them worked on the console together, Kari glanced around at the other people standing there, watching them. Two men and a young woman too. It would seem that they were looking at her as well. "What?" Kari asked, wondering why they were all just staring at her.

"Sorry, love." The older man said. "It's just… how did you do it?" Kari was completely and utterly confused. "I mean, a little while ago you just vanished, in this… golden light thing. Now you just magically appear on the floor."

Kari couldn't help but let out a sigh. They hadn't been told yet, they didn't fully know. "You haven't told them have you?" She said, glancing at the blonde woman beside her.

"Well… I didn't know if you wanted to explain it to them or… it's been a long few days."

"What's she talking about, Doc? What's going on? How'd she do that?" It was clear that the man wanted answers, and it seemed like it was going to be Kari who had to give them.

Letting out a sigh, Kari pulled herself together. "It was the time vortex. I get pulled from one place to another. Horrible, nasty way to time travel. I have no choice in the matter. I don't get to decide when I leave or where I go. The Doctor knows this and should have told you all about it the moment you all saw me leave the first time it happened in front of you all. Which I have no idea when that was because I am clearly arriving in the middle of something."

Kari glared at her, and the Doctor just gave her a sheepish look. "Yeah, sorry about that. Little busy trying not to blow a hole in the sun." The woman, the Doctor, said as she flashed Kari her best smile. "And now my wife is here, she can help."

This time it was a groan that came from Kari's mouth. "Fiancée."

Suddenly the Doctor stopped and looked at Kari, really looked at her. "Oh… oh it's still so early for you." There was a sort of sadness in her eyes as she looked at her.

"Nope. No, don't. I don't want to hear it." Kari was so sick and tired of hearing all about things being too early, just because she wasn't married. The Doctor she was currently with was a woman, that was a much bigger topic of conversation for her. "How hard did you wish for this regeneration?" Kari didn't have a problem with the fact that the Doctor was now a woman, she knew it was going to happen, like she did with all of the Doctor's regenerations. She had just always been curious as to what their relationship would be like.

The Doctor looked at her in horror. "Kari! Not in front of the guests." It was clear she didn't want to discuss it with the others around them. "Now, are you going to help me with our beautiful ship or keep on moaning."

"I am not moaning. God, my brother is going to have a field day. The Doctor, a woman." Kari said, before giving the console a good thump. "And stop leaving the handbrake on!" She ended up shouting, pulling on a lever which resulted in it coming off the console completely. "Oops. That was meant to happen." She said, before quickly throwing it to the floor. "Right, Sheffield, England, Earth. Coming up!"

A few moments later and there was a loud thump. "We're here." The Doctor said, a massive smile on her face. "Go take a look."

The young woman, Yaz, was the first one to reach the door. "We're home. We're actually home!" She called, as she exited the blue box, quickly followed by the Doctor.

Kari hung back a little, still trying to get over the shock of meeting a new regeneration of the Doctor. She was the last one out of the TARDIS, but everyone was still hanging around there, waiting.

"That's my flat, there.' Yaz called, pointing up to one of the many flats in the building.

The younger man, Ryan, looked at her in shock. "Wait, you live at Park Hill? We're just up there." He said, point in another direction.

Yaz pulled her phone out of her pocket and checked it. "And I've got a mobile signal again. But no messages." She seemed a little disappointed with that.

"Well, to be fair, it's only half an hour since you left." The Doctor said, looking at Kari and giving her a worried glance. She was being far too quiet for her liking.

But Kari quickly spoke up. "Well, that's an improvement on 12 months instead of 12 hours." She said, glancing at the Doctor herself. She knew exactly what she was talking about, or rather who she was talking about.

"Yes, okay. I get it. My driving was terrible back then. But look, I'm getting better. Martha was the next day." It was clear that the Doctor knew exactly what Kari was talking about. All Kari could do was roll her eyes, before linking her arm through the Doctor's.

"12 years. 12 years and a cricket bat." Kari muttered, reminding the Doctor of how late they were when going to pick up Amy. The Doctor really couldn't respond to that so she let out a sigh and gave Kari a little nudge.

"What, half an hour since we were with you both in that warehouse?" The older man, Graham asked, in disbelief.

There was a grin on both Kari and the Doctor's face now. "Yeah." The pair said at the same time, causing their smiles to get even bigger.

"Wow…"

The Doctor cleared her throat a little, suddenly feeling a little deflated. "So… I suppose this is it." She said, not really knowing what else to say or do. She had managed to get them all home safely, just like she had promised. But now what?

It seemed like the others all felt the same way as well, as they all stood rather awkwardly. "Yeah, suppose it is." Ryan said, while Kari rolled her eyes. Why did they always have to make things so awkward? Why did the Doctor never just come out and say what was going through that head of hers.

"Got you back. Guess we're done." The Doctor really didn't know what else to say. "Nice having you aboard."

Kari simply couldn't take it anymore. "Yes, yes, yes. It was lovely. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We all had such a wonderful time." She said, causing everyone to look at her in a strange way. "Now, the Doctor and I have people and planets to save. So much to do and see. Words to be had as well."

Graham chuckled a little. "Can see who wears the trousers in your relationship." He said, causing both Kari and the Doctor to look down. They were both wearing trousers, but only Kari really understood what he meant.

"Do you want to come for tea at mine?" Yaz announced suddenly, looking at the Doctor and Kari.

The Doctor's eyes just lit up like a Christmas tree at that. "Definitely!" She said, as Kari reached and closed the TARDIS door. "Yes, we would. Thanks. I love tea. Tea at Yaz's? Amazing." She said, following behind Yaz before looking back towards Ryan and Graham. "Are you coming? Are we all going for tea at Yaz's?" Neither of the men had moved, they didn't think they had been invited.

Yaz had stopped as well and turned to face the men. "Don't be daft, 'course you're invited." Ryan was quick to accept the invite, but Graham, the older man, was a little more reluctant. "Graham?"

It was clear that there was something on his mind. "I think I'll nip home first, Yaz. Maybe join you later, if that's all right?" Yaz just nodded at him, understanding that he needed some time, while Ryan asked if he wanted him to go with him. "I'd rather do it alone." He said ro young Ryan. "Don't go without saying goodbye." He called over to the Doctor and Kari.

There was a sad smile on both their faces. Kari knew exactly what he needed to do, where he needed to go. She knew too many people who had lost someone, someone who was so dear to them. Kari had dealt with it first hand on more than one occasion, and so had the Doctor.

Kari was pulled from her thoughts when someone gave her a nudge. "You okay?" The Doctor asked her, a worried expression on her face.

She smiled and nodded back. "Yeah, just remembering people, that's all." Kari told her, being completely honest. "And, since I'm being totally honest, this is the first time we've met." It was hard for her to admit that, because she really didn't know how the Doctor was going to respond. This regeneration was totally different, yet somehow familiar as well.

"Really?" The Doctor asked her in shock. "You are joking, aren't you?" Kari just shook her head. "Blimey, you're taking it pretty well. Considering I'm a… well, I'm…"

Kari knew what she was attempting to say, but was just finding it so amusing. "A bit more bonkers than normal? Yeah, you are." She said, before it finally clicked. "Oh… now I know who you remind me of!" She announced, not realising that she hadn't said anything about the familiarity to her already.

The Doctor just looked at her in confusion. "What? Who do I remind you of?"

Instead of answering, Kari reached into one of her pockets and pulled out a pair of glasses and showed them to the Doctor. They weren't actually hers, they belonged to someone else, she just happened to have a spare pair with her, in those impossibly deep pockets of hers. "Doctor Sexy, but just a bit more female. That's who you remind me of. You remind me of that regeneration, but just in female form."

A hand quickly reached out and took them from her. The Doctor quickly put them on her face. "So, am I still Doctor Sexy to you then?" She asked, which just caused Kari to burst into laughter. "Oi, you could have just said no. There was no need for that." The Doctor told her, before taking the glasses off and tucking them away in her own coat pocket.

"I'm sorry, Doctor." Kari managed to say, trying to calm herself down. "Honestly, I am. But hey, you're still my mad woman with a box. Last Doctor I was with was grey and Scottish."

The Doctor pulled a slight face at her. "Ugh, the one with the eyebrows." It appeared she hadn't been happy with those eyebrows after all. "You were right, they did deserve to have their own planet."

"I can't believe you live here." Ryan said as they walked along the outer corridor of the flats on Yaz's floor. "I can see this block from my window. Almost neighbours, all this time."

That was when they noticed there was a woman standing a little way further down, a worried look on her face as she made a phone call. "Everything all right?" The Doctor asked, sensing that something wasn't right.

"Fine, thanks." The woman called back, before going back to her phone. "Anna, it's Jade McIntyre. I'm outside your front door. Are you in?"

Kari gave the Doctor a nudge with her arm, reminding her of where they were meant to be going. "I'm home." Yaz called as they all began to enter the flat. "Got a couple of mates with me." There was no response. "They're probably all out." Yaz commented, having heard no response from anyone in the flat.

Suddenly, Yaz's dad, Hakim, appeared. "You've brought friends back. Sonya? Yaz has brought friends back. I'm getting food." He seemed to be very excited that his daughter had friends, and that she had decided to bring them home with her.

Then her sister, Sonya appeared. "What, you actually have friends? She paying you?"

Kari wanted to say something, to correct her sister, but she knew it was pointless. Instead, she decided to focus her attention on the Doctor while Yaz and Ryan headed into the living area of the flat. "So, er, earlier you… seemed surprised." She said, wanting to just get things out in the open now. "About this being my first time here with you."

The Doctor turned and looked at her. "I know how hard it is for you. Every time I regenerate, you have to go through just as much pain and suffering as I do." She said to her. After all these years she had finally started to understand what it was all like for Kari, all because of what Clara had said to her that one time. "I never really considered it before, how it all impacted on you as well."

"It is never easy for me, I can tell you that." Kari said, thinking about all those different regenerations, about how some were painful and how some were other within the blink of an eye. "But I have a little secret." Kari admitted, getting the Doctor's attention. "I already know who you are going to be."

While the Doctor knew this, she also knew it wasn't the full truth. "You know who I'm going to be, but not how I'm going to be." The Doctor told her, watching as Yaz's family started making a fuss over the fact that she had guests. "You don't know how we are going to be."

That was true. And that was always one of the things that scared Kari the most. What if the Doctor didn't like her anymore? What if the Doctor didn't care for her? What if… It was all just full of 'what if's'. "You're right, I don't know. But I do know that you would never abandon me. You would never just leave me. You would never stop caring. Maybe one day things are different, and your feelings are different, but even then, I know that you would never, ever, forget about me." Kari knew that was true, she knew that no matter what, the Doctor would never just leave her. Man or woman, the Doctor would always make sure that she was safe. Even if that meant taking her and leaving her with her brother.

The Doctor seemed relieved to hear Kari say that, to know that she would always accept the Doctor, even if the Doctor didn't accept her. The pair fell into a comfortable silence while Ryan had sat himself down at the table. The Doctor, however, was now wandering around, starting to get a little excited. "Look at your views. Never had a flat. I should get one, I'd be good in a flat." She said, still wandering while Kari just stood back and watched her. She really did find it so amusing how she was acting. "I could get a sofa. Imagine me with a sofa, like my own sofa, I could get a purple one and sit on it. Am I being weird?" The last part was aimed at Kari, who was still standing there watching her.

"A little bit, yeah. But no more than I'm used to." Kari informed her, a small smile on her face.

The Doctor looked at her, a hint of sadness on her face. "I'm trying to do small talk. I thought I was doing quite well."

This time it was Yaz who spoke up. "Needs work." The woman informed the Doctor.

"Maybe I'm nervous. Or just socially awkward. I'm still figuring myself out." This comment wasn't just aimed at Yaz and Ryan, the Doctor glanced at Kari as well. She completely understood what the Doctor was saying. She hadn't worked everything out yet, things weren't quite right. "You really like junk. Are you collecting it, like stamps?" The Doctor ended up asking, noticing the bags of waste that were sitting in the living room.

Yaz's dad was all too happy to explain the situation to the Doctor, and anyone else that would listen. "Let me tell you about this mess." Sonya tried to discourage them, plucking some rubbish off the table and putting it on the floor beside where she was sitting.

"Dad, we keep telling you. Stop picking it up. Mum's going to go crazy when she sees you've brought it home again." Yaz told him, starting to wonder if it really had been a good idea to invite everyone over for tea. "It stinks."

Her dad was in the kitchen with his apron on, ready to make the most of having people around. "I can't just leave it there." He told both of his girls.

Sonya let out a sigh. "Why do we have to have it?" The youngster said, barely looking up from her phone. She had been on it since the moment they stepped through the door and was yet to put it down.

"Well, I thought maybe that as your sister is a policewoman…" The girl's father started, trying to explain everything with Yaz's new friends listening to it all.

Yas attempted to interrupt and correct her dad. "Police officer."

"And she said she'd do something about it."

Yaz was trying her best not to get too frustrated with it all, but she was struggling. "I did, and they're looking into it." She informed her dad, hoping that would be the end of it.

But her father wasn't happy. "Well, not fast enough. It's a disgrace."

"Don't keep it in the kitchen. Put it down the chute." Kari couldn't help but make a bit of a face at that. Why would you keep all of that waste, and was it all theirs or had he been collecting other people's rubbish as well?

Kari and the Doctor were both watching the exchange with great interest. "It's evidence. And you know what it's evidence of?" Hakim told them, causing both of his daughters to roll their eyes.

"A conspiracy." They responded together.

Now the Doctor was even more interested. "Exactly. A total conspiracy and getting worse." Hakim seemed to be very passionate about this whole thing, it was easy to tell by the way he was speaking.

That was when the Doctor finally spoke up. "I love a conspiracy." She said, a twinkle in her eyes.

Kari looked at her with a smile on her face. "You usually start a lot of them yourself, don't you, Doctor." She knew what the Doctor was like, either starting things or being the cause of things.

"Oh, come on. You're meant to be on my side. You are meant to defend me." The Doctor replied, looking at Kari and then back to the mound of rubbish in the room.

All Kari could do was smile a little bit more. "You're weird as a woman." She admitted, hoping that the Doctor wasn't going to mind what she was saying. "A good weird, but still… weird."

The Doctor looked at her, just as Yaz's phone started ringing. "Good. I like weird."

Yaz disappeared from the room, answering her phone, reappearing a few moments later. It had been her mother calling her. "Is she all right?" Her dad asked, still working away in the kitchen of their flat.

"Yeah. She forgot something. Asked if I'd drop it at work for her. She's got a new job, posh hotel opening. Do you mind if I nip out quickly?" She was worried about just leaving her friends there with her family. She had noticed that the Doctor was a bit socially awkward, even with Kari there.

The Doctor also didn't know if it was appropriate for her to stay with Yaz's family when she wasn't going to be there. "Need any company?" She asked, wondering if that was okay and giving a glance to Kari. Kari simply smiled.

While Yaz was grateful for the offer, she knew that her mum needed her. "Nah, I'll be fine." Yaz told them.

"We'll look after your friends. I'm going to make pakora." Hakim announced, causing Yaz's face to drop.

She knew her dad's cooking, she knew what he could make and couldn't make. Apparently, this was one of the things that he was not so good at making. "Dad, don't. He's terrible at pakora."

There was a little bit of bickering between the two sisters, before Yaz finally left the flat to go and see her mum. "Sisters. I used to have sisters. I used to be a sister, in an aqua-hospital." The Doctor said, filling the silence as best she could. "Actually, it turned out to be a training camp for the Quiston Calcium Assassins."

"Rambling, dear." Kari warned, knowing that the Doctor was still trying to figure herself out.

The Doctor instead kept looking through the things in Yaz's home. She was being pretty nosey, but Kari was keeping a close eye on her. That was when the Doctor spotted something. "Oooh, you've got a parcel to pick up. Left with a neighbour." She said, looking at the delivery card that had been left for them.

"Yeah, I've been trying to get that for days." Hakim said, still busy in the kitchen. "Couple of doors down. No reply."

"Do you want me to go get it while you make your terrible pakora?" The Doctor offered, trying to be helpful, but also being a tiny bit rude.

All Kari could do was let out a sigh. "Rude and not ginger. Yup, you are definitely like him, just in a woman's body." She muttered, mostly to herself. "Come on, let's make ourselves useful." Kari then added, before dragging the Doctor out the street door with her. "Still no word from Graham?" Kari called back to Ryan, as he came to join them.

He pulled out his phone and had a quick look at it. Nothing. "You think I should've gone with him?" He asked, not sure what he should have done.

Kari shook her head at him. "No, he has things he needs to do, to sort out. Give him some time and space and he will come find us." She said, as they walked a few doors down and stopped where the woman they had seen earlier was still standing. Well, more pacing now.

The Doctor frowned a little. "Still no answer?" She asked, causing the woman to shake her head at her. "We've got a package to pick up for number 34. Think she took it in. You a friend?"

"We work together at the uni." The woman informed them. "She hasn't been in for a few days. Didn't call in sick, isn't answering her messages. Thought I'd drop by, see if she's okay." She continued, while the Doctor took a peek through the letterbox. "I'm Jade."

"I'm Ryan. This is the Doctor and Kari." He said, introducing them all.

The Doctor wasn't paying attention to them, she was still looking through the letterbox. "Hello! Anna?" She called. "It's next door but one. Have you got a parcel for us?" There was no answer, and it made the Doctor a little worried. "I mean, I could open the door." The Doctor told them, unzipping the bumbag she had strapped around her waist.

Jade looked at her, a little unsure. "What, like, break it in?"

Kari shook her head as the Doctor searched for something. "No, just the lock. She's good with locks. I mean, only if you think we should, if you're worried about her. Call the police and they would just break down the door. This way, no damage is done. Are you worried about her?"

"I am." Jade admitted. That was all the Doctor needed to pull out her sonic screwdriver and point it at the door.

She pressed it on, and the group heard several locks unclicking from inside. "Anna?" The Doctor called as they entered the flat. There were cobwebs everywhere, and it gave Kari the creeps. "How long did you say it'd been since you'd seen her?" The Doctor asked, getting her own creepy feeling as well.

Ryan tried the light switch, but nothing happened, while Jade followed the Doctor and Kari. "A few days."

"Hmm, that is a hell of a lot of cobwebs for a few days." Kari said, shivering a little. She didn't like it, she did not like it one little bit.

The Doctor couldn't help but agree with her. "Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Oh…" The living room was filled with even more, and even Ryan was starting to think it was weird.

The only person that didn't seem to be completely freaked out was Jade. Instead, she was inspecting the webbing, looking at the silk that was hanging all over the room. "Um, did Anna ever mention spiders?" Kari asked, trying to ignore the awful feeling she was getting. "Like, a problem or infestation or something like that?" Jade just shook her head at her. "Oh, well we better keep looking then."

They went to investigate another room, the bedroom. The Doctor took the lead, being the first person to take a look in the darkness. "Anna?" She asked, before finally spotting someone in the bed. "You okay?"

There was no response, and the Doctor kept edging closer and closer to the bed, while Ryan headed over to the closed curtains, his aim to shed some light on the room. The moment he pulled the curtains opened they saw Anna, and the reason why she hadn't responded to them. She was covered in webbing. It was all over her.

"Okay, not to worry anyone or anything, but I have a question." Kari said, getting everyone's attention. "Where is the spider, or spiders, that did this?" She asked, even though she already knew the answer. Spiders, she wasn't all that keen on them. Little tiny things she could handle, not a problem, but she knew this was going to be a bit bigger, and that was a problem.

Ryan looked at her with a concerned look on his face. "You think it's still in here?"

Kari put a finger to her lips as the Doctor went over to the wardrobe and pulled the doors open. There was nothing there. That was when she pointed to the bed, and Ryan quickly bent down to have a look. Something under there moved, causing him to quickly get up and back away. Then the spider slowly crawled out as well. "Look at the size of it!" Ryan exclaimed, noticing just how big it was.

"Can we just… move?" Kari said, nudging the Doctor and getting everyone else to move. "I don't care if it is just a domestic spider, it's way too big and I do not like it." She knew they needed to get out of that room.

The Doctor knew exactly what Kari was saying. "Let's put a door between us. When I say now, quick as you can." She said, slowly opening the door. "Go! Go, go go!" She called, getting them all out of the bedroom and shutting the spider in there. "Ryan, keep it in there. Back in a sec."

Kari was with the Doctor, hunting around in Anna's kitchen. "There should be some vinegar in the cupboard somewhere." She called, heading to the fridge and pulling out a tube of paste which contained garlic.

"Is this your all knowing power speaking?" The Doctor asked her, having no luck in the first cupboard that she tried so heading onto the second.

"Would it matter if it was?" Kari asked her, opening the next cupboard for the Doctor to reach into.

The Doctor grabbed the bottle of vinegar from the cupboard, and the tube of paste from Kari's hand. "Not really, no. Just means I know we fix everything in the end." It wasn't exactly the response that Kari had been expecting, but it was good enough for her.

They both noticed that Jade was now in the kitchen with them, while Ryan was there on his own, with the spider trying to get under the door. "Can't keep it in the bedroom." The woman said, before noticing the chute in the room for the waste. "Rubbish chute. Maybe that's how it got in. Could we drive it out through there?"

Kari was quick to answer that question. "No. One hundred percent no. We need to keep it isolated in here." She said as the Doctor ran out of the room and started squirting the paste on the walls and ceiling, and throwing vinegar everywhere. "Ryan, get up here quick!"

As he came up, he got splashed with the vinegar. "Oi, you just covered me in vinegar."

"Spiders' feet are their noses and they hate the smell of garlic." The Doctor began to explain. "And the acetic acid in the vinegar means it won't come any further." They stood there, waiting.

It didn't take long for the sound of the door being broken to reach their ears. Then came the scuttling of the spider as it moved along the hallway, coming towards them. All of them looked up and saw the gigantic spider on the ceiling. It stopped, clearly having smelt the garlic in the paste, and began to lower itself using its silk. It stopped at the paste on the floor, taking a step back from it, as if it burnt it.

"Hi. We don't mean you any harm." The Doctor said, bending down and speaking calmly to the spider. "You're not supposed to be this big and you're definitely not supposed to attack humans. You stay here, until we figure this out. Deal?" The spider seemed calm, not like it was about to attach at all. "Let's go."

Jade and Ryan were the first ones to leave Anna's home and Ryan had no plans whatsoever of going back in there any time soon. He wasn't keen on spiders. Kari was the next one out, followed by the Doctor. "I think you've got some explaining to do, Jade McIntyre." Kari said, folding her arms across her chest and looking at the woman.

"Yeah, because we saw you check those cobwebs and you weren't surprised." The Doctor added. Before she could say anything else, Graham came rushing towards them, having had his own experience with finding the massive shed skin of a spider. The Doctor was not playing games. "A woman has died, and I think you know more than you're telling."

Jade crumbled under the glares that she was receiving from both the Doctor and Kari. "This isn't the first incident. Something's happening with the spiders in the city. They're out of control." Kari couldn't help but let out a sigh. She was really not looking forward to this.
