A/N: Anyone who wants to do a story where the characters read 'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes' series is allowed to do so as long as they tell me before hand.

I don't own Percy Jackson series or Naruto series, or any of the characters of either series. Nor am I the writer of the Son of the Huntress series

Warning: Read these stories if you haven't before reading this story:

'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Lightning Thief'
'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Sea of Monsters'
'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Titan's Curse'
'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Battle of the Labyrinth'
'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Last Olympian'
'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Staff of Hermes'
'The Legacy of the Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero'
'The Legacy of the Heroes of Olympus: The Quest for Buford'

I'm going to make this clear to those who don't approve the idea of legacies in Camp Half-Blood.

One: If you actually looked into Greek Mythology you know there been plenty of Greek Legacies. Heck Frank's ancestors were Greek legacies before they joined the Romans.

Two: Time and time again in the Percy Jackson series they mention many famous names Rick Riordan used as demigods Greek Demigods reaching adulthood-George Washington, Amelia Earhart, F.D.R., General Sherman and many more-many of which had children of their own which would make their kids legacies.

Three: About Naruto not being wise enough to be a Legacy of Athena, keep in mind in future reference for any sequel fanfictions of Percy Jackson that when Percy and Annabeth have kids, if they have any of Percy's personality they might not have much interest in school and thus not show much of any of Athena's wisdom. So I should have a pass on the matter with Naruto because of that fact.

Four: Since I made Naruto a legacy of Athena through Minato, he can't have any connections with the Romans as for any god/goddess, Olympian or Minor to have a legacy they must have children who later grow up to have children of their own. Minerva doesn't have kids, and it been clear before the return of Athena's Parthenos the idea of the matter was saw as a disgrace to the Romans as it meant Minerva broke her vow in their eyes. Not to mention the fact that the feud between Greek and Romans was kept alive for so long because of Athena.

Also for anyone who thinks it be okay having a child/Legacy of Artemis or Hestia to meet the romans, although Diana or Vesta wasn't treated any worse from their Greek counterparts as the comparison of Athena and Minerva, keep in mind they also made a vow to not have any kids, and since Romans take their vows so seriously they have their own god whose domain is over vows I think they would frown upon the idea of Diana and Vesta breaking their vows. Although I did enjoy The Son of the Huntress series, even though Naruto saved Reyna and Hylla the fact any more Romans would accept the idea there being a child and grandchild of two virgin goddesses feels a bit far fetch.

Yugito and Percy's Augeries are Read

On the way out of camp, Hazel bought Percy and Yugito an espresso drink and a cherry muffin from Bombilo the two-headed coffee merchant.

Percy inhaled the muffin and Yugito enjoyed the coffee.

They watched a bunch of kids in swimsuits and towels head to a building that had steam coming out of a row of chimneys. Laughter and watery sounds echoed from inside, like it was an indoor pool.

"Bath house," Hazel said. "We'll get you two in there before dinner, hopefully. You haven't lived until you've had a Roman bath."

Percy sighed with anticipation but Yugito stayed quiet. Ever since her water walking training, she came to tolerate getting wet (hard not too when you fall into water while trying to stay on top of it. Matatabi hates it, both because she's a cat and because her fur is literally blue flames.

As they approached the front gate, the barracks got bigger and nicer. Even the ghost looked better-with fancier armor and shinier auras.

"You guys are divided into different cabins?" Percy asked.

"Sort of." Hazel ducked as a kid riding a giant eagle swooped overhead. "We have five cohorts of about forty kids each. Each Cohort is divided into barracks of ten-like roommates, kind of."

"You're telling me there's over two hundred kids at camp?"

"Roughly."

"And all of them are children of gods? The gods have been busy."

Yugito chuckled as Hazel laughed. "Not all of them are children of major gods. There are hundreds of Roman gods. Plus, a lot of campers and legacies-second or third generations rarely more. Maybe their parents were demigods. Or their grandparents. But in rare occassions there are some with ancestors that goes centuries back before the demigod that started the line is found."

Percy didn't seem surprised at the idea that there are generations of demigods.

"Do all these legacies have powers like a demigod?" Percy asked.

"Sometimes. Sometimes not. But they can be trained. All the best Roman generals and emperors-you know, they all claimed to be descended from gods. Most of the time, they were telling the truth. The camp augur we're going to meet Octavian, he's a legacy, a descendent of Apollo-"

"So my nephew." Yugito said.

"Yes, that's right. He's got the gift of prophecy, supposedly."

"Supposedly?"

Hazel made a sour face. "You'll see."

Percy turned to Yugito. "Do you have the gift of prophecy?"

"I don't think so," Yugito said.

"Don't feel bad. Some powers are rare blessings that not all the demigods get even if they share the same godly parent and/or ancestor," Hazel said. "Prophecy is one of them."

"So the divisions," Percy asked, "the cohorts, whatever-you're divided according to who your godly parent is?"

Hazel stared at him. "What a horrible idea! No, the officers decided where to assign recruits. If we were divided according to god, the cohorts would be all uneven. I'd be alone."

"Why? What's your ancestry?"

Before she could answer, someone behind them yelled, "Wait!"

A ghost ran toward them-an old man with a medicine ball belly and toga so long he kept tripping on it. He caught up to them and gasped for air, his purple aura flickering around him.

"Are this them?" the ghost panted. "The new recruits for the Fifth, perhaps?"

"Vitellius," Hazel said, "we're sort of in a hurry."

The ghost scowled at Percy and Yugito as he walked around them, inspecting them like a use car. "I don't know," he grumbled. "We need only the best for the cohort. Do they have all their teeth? Can they fight? Do they clean stables?"

"Yes, yes, and no," Percy said.

Yugito shrugged. "I got all my teeth and I can slash through anything with my fingernails. As for stables, I cleaned out worse." Which wasn't a lie. Even as a jinchuriki, Yugito did minor D-rank missions or basic jobs and chores for others if there isn't any other mission for her. A girl needs to make money after all. And from what she heard about the other Kages, it helps to have a Kage who treat their jinchurikis as human instead as a weapon to gain power. "Who are you?"

"Percy, Yugito, this is Vitellius." Hazel's expression said: Just humor him. "He's one of our Lares; takes an interest in new recruits."

On a nearby porch, other ghost snickered as Vitellius paced back and forth, tripping over his toga and hiking up his sword belt.

"Yes," Vitellius said, "back in Caesar's day-that's Julius Caesar, mind you-the Fifth Cohort was something! Twelfth Legion Fulminata, pride of Rome! But these days? Disgraceful what we've come to. Look at Hazel here, using a spatha. Ridiculous weapon for a Roman legonnaire-that's for calvary! And you, girl, what is with that headband you are wearing? I don't recognize that symbol?"

"I'm a kunoichi-a female ninja-of the village hidden of the clouds of the Elemental Nations. A different world from yours," Yugito said. "This headband means that I have earned my ranks among ninjas. I earned it long before finding out my godly heritage, so sorry in advance if I don't meet your standards as Roman Demigod."

"Oh, I like you. I can tell already you're the type to speak your mind with no care of what others say but know when to respect authorities. I approve," Vitellius said. "As for you boy-you smell like a Greek sewer. Haven't you had a bath."

"I've been a little busy fighting gorgons," Percy said.

"Vitellius," Hazel interrupted, "we've got to get Percy's and Yugito's auguries before they can join. Why don't you check on Frank? He's in the armory doing inventory. You know how much he values your help."

The ghost's furry purple eyebrows shot up. "Mars Almighty! They let the probatio check the armor? We'll be ruined!"

He stumbled off down the street, stopping every few feet to pick up his sword or rearrange his toga.

"O-h-h-kay," Percy said.

"Sorry," Hazel said. "He's eccentric, but he's one of the oldest Lares. Been around since the legion was founded."

"Fulminita? Armed with Lightning," Yugito translated. "That's what he called the legion."

"Yeah, that's our motto. The Twelfth Legion was around for the entire Roman Empire. When Rome fell, a lots of legions just disappeared. We went underground, acting on secret orders from Jupiter himself: stay alive, recruit demigods and their children, keep Rome going. We've been doing that ever since, moving around to wherever Roman influence was strongest. The last few centuries, we've been in America."

"I guess that makes sense," Yugito said.

"And your Fifth Cohort," Percy guessed., "which maybe isn't the most popular?"

Hazel scowled. "Yeah. I joined up last September."

"So... just a few weeks before that guy Jason disappeared."

Hazel looked down. She was silent long enough to count every paving stone. Yugito figured it was a sore spot then.

"Come on," she said at last. "I'll show you guys my favorite view."

...

They stopped outside the main gates. The fort was situated on the highest point in the valley, so they could see pretty much everything.

The road led down to the river and divided. One path led south across a bridge, up to the hill with all the temples. The other road led north into the city, a miniature version of Ancient Rome. Unlike the military camp, the city looked chaotic and colorful, with buildings crowded together at haphazard angles. Even from this far away, Percy could see people gathered in the plaza, shoppers milling around an open-air market, parents with kids playing in the parks.

"You've got families here?" Percy asked.

"In the city, absolutely," Hazel said. "When you're accepted into the legion, you do ten years of service. After that, you can muster out whenever you want. Most mortals go into the mortal world. But for some-well, it's pretty dangerous out there. This valley is a sanctuary. You can go to college in the city, get married, have kids, retiré when you get old. It's the only safe place in this world for people like us. So yeah, a lot of veterans make their homes there, under the protection of the legion."

Percy started dreaming of the idea.

"What about legacies?" Yugito asked. "Don't they do that whole Wolf House training?"

"They do. They go north to train with Lupa and prove themselves as one of the legion," Hazel said. "Parents would send a message to Lupa or Lupa would send a wolf herself if they feel a legacy is ready to join the legion."

"But what if this valley is attacked?" Percy asked.

Hazel pursed her lips. "We have defenses. The borders are magical. But our strength isn't what it used to be. Lately, the monster attacks have been increasing. What you said about the gorgons not dying... we've noticed that too, with other monsters.

"Do you know what's causing it?" Yugito asked.

Hazel looked away as if trying to hold back something. "It's-it's complicated," she said. "My brother says Death isn't-"

She was interrupted by an elephant.

Someone behind them shouted, "Make way!"

Hazel dragged Percy and Yugito out of the road as a demigod rode past on a full-grown pachyderm covered in black Kevlar armor. The word ELEPHANT was printed on the side of his armor.

The elephant thundered down the road and turned north, heading toward a big open field where some fortifications were under construction.

Percy and Yugito spit dust out of their mouth. "What the-?" Percy responded.

"Elephant," Hazel explained.

"Yeah, I read the sign. Why do you have an elephant in a bulletproof vest?"

"War games tonight," Hazel said. "That's Hannibal. If we didn't include him, he'd get upset."

"I guess we can't have that," Yugito said causing Hazel to laugh. Yugito was rather curious about what Hazel was talking about: having a brother, and why Hazel seem to hold sadness.

Hazel pointed south across the river. Dark clouds were gathering over Temple Hill. Red flashes of lightning washed the monuments in blood-colored light.

"Is that normal in this world?" Yugito asked.

"Octavian is busy," Hazel said. "We'd better get over there."

...

On the way, they passed some goat-legged guys hanging out on the side of the road.

"Hazel!" one of them cried.

He trotted over with a big grin on his face. He wore a faded Hawaiian shirt and nothing for pants except thick brown goat fur. He had a massive afro that jiggled. His eyes were hidden behind little round rainbow tinted glasses. He held a cardboard sign that read: WILL WORK SING TALK GO AWAY FOR DENARII. With work sing and talk crossed out.

"Hi, Don," Hazel said. "Sorry, we don't have time-"

"Oh, that's cool! That's cool!" Don trotted along with them. "Hey these two are new!" He grinned at Percy and Yugito. "Do you have three denarii for the bus? Because I left my wallet at home, and I've got to get to work, and-"

"Don," Hazel chided. "Fauns don't have wallets. Or jobs. Or homes. And we don't have buses."

"Right," he said cheerfully, "but do you have denarii?"

"No we don't. Percy and I just got here today," Yugito said.

"Annoying creature this one is," Matatabi said in Yugito's head.

"Your name is Don the Faun?" Percy asked.

"Yeah. So?"

"Nothing." Percy struggled to keep a straight face. "Why don't fauns have jobs? Shouldn't they work for the camp?"

Don bleated. "Fauns! Work for the camp! Hilarious!"

"Fauns are, um, free spirits," Hazel explained. "They hang out here because, well, it's a safe place to hang out and beg. We tolerate them, but-"

"Oh, Hazel is awesome," Don said. "She's so nice! All the other campers are like, 'Go away, Don.' But she's like, 'Please go away, Don.' I love her!"

The faun seemed harmless, but Percy seemed unsettled.

Don looked at the ground in front of them and gasped. "Score!"

He reached for something, but Hazel screamed, "Don, no!"

SHe pushed him out of the way and snatched up a small shiny object that Yugito could have sworn looked like a diamond. Whatever it is, Hazel slipped it into her pocket.

"Come on, Hazel," Don complained. "I could've bought a year's worth of doughnuts with that!"

"Don, please!" Hazel said. "Go away."

She sounded shaken, like she'd just saved Don from a charging bulletproof elephant.

The faun sighed. "Aw, I can't stay mad at you. But I swear, it's like you're good luck. Every time you walk by-"

"Good bye, Don," Hazel said quickly. "Come on, guys."

She started jogging. Percy and Yugito caught up with her.

"What was that about?" Percy asked. "That diamond in the road-"

"Please," she said. "Don't ask."

"Oh yeah, she has a secret," Matatabi said.

"Like we're not," Yugito thought.

They walked in an uneasy silence the rest of the way to Temple Hill. A crooked stone path led past a crazy assortment of tiny altars and massive domes vaults. Statues of gods seemed to follow Percy and Yugito with their eyes.

Hazel pointed out the Temple of Bellona. "Goddess of war," she said. "That's Reyna's mom." Then they passed a massive red crypt decorated with human skulls on iron spikes."

"Please tell me we're not going in there," Percy said.

Hazel shook her head. "That's the Temple of Mars Ultor."

"Mars... Ares, the war god?" Percy asked.

"That's his Greek name," Hazel said. "But, yeah, same guy. Ultor means 'The Avenger.' He's the second most important god of Rome."

"I'm guessing it's because Romulus and Remus were his sons?" Yugito asked.

"Partly," Hazel agreed.

For some reason Percy was glaring at the temple.

They stopped for a moment at a golden temple with a dome roof with a sky light that shined the sunlight down to a statue of a blonde hair man like a spotlight as he held a gold bow in one hand and a lyre in the other and strapped to his back was a quiver of golden arrows and an altar with a bowl on it. All along the temple golden flowers bloomed.

"That's Apollo's temple," Hazel told Yugito said and pointed at the bow. "That bow was said to have been given to the Romans by your father himself."

Yugito nodded as she looked at the altar. Then she took out a piece of bagel from what Percy and her split between them and put it in the altar. "Hey, dad. I hope I make you proud."

The skylight seemed to brighten and the light grew over Yugito, spreading her with warmth.

"I think that's his way of showing his proudness," Matatabi said.

Yugito left the temple as she did, she noticed an open air temple consisting of a ring of oak trees surrounding a fire pit.

"Whose temple is that?" Yugito asked.

Hazel looked where she was pointing. "That's the temple of Diana, goddess of the moon and hunt and twin sister of Apollo. She's more of an outdoors type of goddess so her temple is design that way."

Yugito nodded as she understood.

"So, uh, I'm guessing we're going there," Percy nodded toward the summit. Clouds swirled over the largest temple, a round pavilion with a ring of white columns supporting a dome roof.

"Yeah," Hazel sounded edgy. "Octavian reads auguries there."

"How come he doesn't do it here if he's legacy of Apollo?" Yugito asked.

"Tradition," Hazel said. "Auguries has always been read at the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus."

This time Percy was able to translate: "Jupiter... the best and the greatest?"

"Right."

"What's Neptune's title?" Percy asked. "The coolest and most awesome?"

"Um, not quiet." Hazel gestured to a small blue building the size of a tool shed. A cobweb-covered trident was nailed above the door.

Percy and Yugito peeked inside. On a small altar sat a bowl with three dried-up, moldy apples.

"Popular place," Percy said.

"I'm sorry, Percy," Hazel said. "It's just... Romans were always scared of the sea. They only used ships if they had to. Even in modern times, having a child of Neptune around always been a bad omen. The last time one joined the legion... well, it was 1906, when Camp Jupiter was located across the bay in San Francisco. There was this huge earthquake-"

"You're telling me a child of Neptune caused that?"

"So they say." Hazel looked apologetic. "Anyway... Romans fear Neptune, but they don't love him much."

Yugito starting to see why Juno wanted her to help Percy, besides the fact he's not smart, but Percy needs help being accepted just because of his dad. Yugito can understand not being able to fit in and being hated for something that you can't help.

Like Yugito, Percy reached in his backpack and dug out his bagel and set it on the altar.

"Hey... uh, Dad." He felt pretty stupid talking to a bowl of fruit. "If you can hear me, help me out, okay? Give me my memory back. Tell me-tell me what to do."

His voice cracked with exhaustion and fear.

Hazel put her hand on his shoulder. "It'll be okay. You're here now. You're one of us."

"She's right. I know what it's like to be an outcast, and I can help you," Yugito said.

Above them, thunder rumbled. Red lightning hit up the hill.

"Octavian's almost done," Hazel said. "Let's go."

...

Even compared to Apollo's temple with a built in spot light, Jupiter's temple was definitely optimus and maximus.

The barble floor was etched with fancy mosaics and Latín inscriptions. Sixty feet above, the dome ceiling sparkled gold. The whole temple was open to the wind.

In the center stood a marble altar, were a id in a toga was doing some sort of ritual in front of a massive golden statue of the big dude himself: Jupiter the sky god, dressed in a silk XXXL purple toga, holding a lightning bolt

"It doesn't look like that," Percy muttered.

"What?" Hazel asked.

"The master bolt," Percy said.

"What are you talking about?"

"I-" Percy frowned as if he forgot what he was talking about. "Nothing, I guess."

The kid at the altar raised his hands. More red lightning flashed in the sky, shaking the temple. Then he put his hands down, and the rumbling stopped. The clouds turned from gray to white and broke apart.

A pretty impressive trick, considering the kid didn't look like much. He was tall and skinny, with straw-colored hair, oversized jeans, a baggy t-shirt, and a drooping toga. He looked like a scarecrow wearing a bed sheet.

"Is this kid really my nephew?" Yugito thought.

"He's a legacy. Maybe the good genes was lost somewhere down the line before he was born," Matatabi joked.

Yugito chuckled. It wasn't often Matatabi make a joke, much less a good one.

"What's he doing?" Percy murmured.

The guy in the toga turned. He had a crooked smile and a slightly crazy look in his eyes that made Yugito uneasy. In one hand he held a knife. In the other hand was something like a stuffed bear.

"That stuff bear doesn't make him look less crazy," Yugito thought.

"Percy, Yugito," Hazel said, "this is Octavian."

"The master jinchuriki of the Cloud Village and the graecus," Octavian announced. "How interesting."

"Uh, hi," Percy said. "Are you killing small animals?"

Octavian looked at the fuzzy thing in his hand and laughed. "No, no. Once upon a time, yes. We used to read the will of the gods by examining animal guts-chickens, goats, that sort of thing. Nowadays, we used these."

He tossed the toy to Percy, revealing it was indeed a stuff bear. Then Yugito and Percy notice there was a whole pile of mutilated stuffed animals at the foot of Jupiter's statue.

"Seriously?" Percy asked.

Octavian stepped off the dais. He looked to be Yugito's age, but so skinny and sickly pale, he could've passed for younger. At first he looked harmless, but Yugito could see the glittered with harsh curiosity in Octavian's eyes.

He studied Yugito first, making her uneasy. "So you're a daughter of Apollo. I guess that makes you my distant aunt," Octavian said. "And Jinchuriki of the Two Tails, odd combination."

Yugito wanted to ask him how he know about Matatabi but decided not to. "How is that an odd combo? I thought Romans love cats?"

"Oh Romans do! Freedom and Independence is great," Octavian said. "But you see-Apollo-well, he don't like cats. Self-centered, smug, and all that-well I guess you could say he sees them as competition."

"I can see that," Matatabi said. "Plus there's the scent of cat urine at your dad's temple. I'm sure Apollo didn't like that."

"I didn't need to know that," Yugito said.

Octavian studied Percy next and his eyes narrowed. "You seem nervous."

"You remind me of someone," Percy said. "I can't remember who."

"Possibly my namesake, Octavian-Augustus Caesar. Everyone says I bear a remarkable resemblance."

Percy wasn't so certain. "Why did you call me 'the Greek'? How did you know where Yugito was from?"

"I saw it in the auguries," Octavian waved his knife at the pile of stuffing on the altar. "The message said: The Greek and the Master Two-Tail Jinchuriki of the Cloud Village. You two seek to join the legion."

Hazel spoke for them. She told Octavian everything that had happened since they met at the tunnel-the gorgons, the fight at the river, the appearance of Juno, their conversation with Reyna.

When she mention Juno, Octavian looked surprised.

"Juno," he mused. "We call her Juno Moneta. Juno the Warner. She appears in times of crisis, to counsel Rome about great threats."

He glanced at Percy, as if to say: like mysterious Greeks, for instance.

"Juno gave her warning," Yugito said. "She said there will be an invasion on the Feast of Fortuna."

"Shouldn't you have already seen that in your stuffing?" Percy asked.

"Sadly, no," Octavian sighed. "The will of the gods is hard to discern. And these days, my vision is even darker."

"Don't you have... I don't know," Percy said, "an oracle or something?"

"An oracle?" Octavian smiled. "What a cute idea. No, I'm afraid we're fresh out of oracles. Now, if we'd gon questing for the Sibylline books, like I recommended-"

"The siba-what?" Percy asked.

"Books of Prophecy," Hazel said, "which Octavian is obsessed with. Romans used to consult them when disasters happened. Most people believe they burned up when Rome fell."

"Some people believe that," Octavian corrected. "Unfortunately our present leadership won't authorized a quest to look for them-"

"Because Reyna isn't stupid," Hazel said.

"-so we have only a few remaining scraps from the books," Octavian continued. "A few mysterious predictions, like these."

He nodded to the inscriptions on the floor. Percy stared at the lines of words, and then choked.

"That one." Hje pointed, translating as he read aloud: "Nine Heroes shall answer the call. To Storm or Fire the world must fall. Two Nations shall finally make peace-"

"Yes, yes," Octavian finished it without looking: "As Cat and Fox create a new alliance. An oath to keep with final breath, and foes bare arms to the Doors of Death."

A shiver went down Yugito's back at the line about the Cat.

"I-I know that one. That's important."

Octavian arched an eyebrow. "Of course it's important. We call it the Prophecy of Nine, but it's several thousand years old. We don't know what it means."

"But the cat line-that could be about the two-tails cat or me," Yugito said. "And the fox-"

"As daughter of Apollo, you should know better than to try and interpret it Yugito Nii," Octavian said. "Just ask Hazel what happened the last time someone tried."

Hazel glared at him. "Just read the augury for for Percy and Yugito. Can they join the legion or not?"

Octavian stared at the two again, interpreting their use. Then he waved to both of their backpacks. "Those are beautiful specimens. May I?"

Before they could ask, Octavian snatched the panda and cat pillow that was sticking out of their Bargain Mart bags.

"Cat-fitting for your auguries, Yugito." Octavian noted. "I prefer bears, but I will use other stuff animals if needed."

Octavian took both pillows toward the altar and raised his knife.

"Hey!" Percy protested.

Octavian slashed open the panda's belly and poured it's stuffing over the altar. He tossed the panda carcass aside, mutter a few words over the fluff, then did the same with the cat. After what Octavian said about Apollo hating cats, Yugito wasn't so surprise by his actions but it still bugged her. Then Octavian turned with a big smile on his face.

"Good news!" he said. "Percy and Yugito may join the legion. We'll assign them a cohort at evening muster. Tell Reyna that I approve."

Hazel's shoulders relaxed. "Uh... Great. Come on, guys."

"Oh, and Hazel," Octavian said. "I'm happy to welcome Percy and Yugito to the legion. But when the election for praetor comes up, I hope you'll remember-"

"Jason isn't dead," Hazel snapped. "You're the augur. You're supposed to be looking for him!"

"Oh, I am!" Octavian pointed at the pile of gutted animals. "I consult the gods every day! Alas, after eight months, I've found nothing. Of course, I'm still looking. But if Jason doesn't return by Feast of Fortuna, we must act. We can't have a power vacuum any longer. I hope you'll support me for praetor. It would mean so much to me."

Hazel clenched her fists. "Me. Support. You?"

Octavian took off his toga, setting it and his knife on the altar. There were seven lines on Octavian's arm for seven years with a lyre. Yugito guess the Lyre will be what she can expect when she earn her marks.

"After all," Octavian told Hazel, "I might be able to help you. It would be a shame if those awful rumors about you kept circulating... or gods forbid, if they turned out to be true."

Percy reached for his pen and Yugito had her fingernails extend out. They didn't like the fact Octavian was blackmailing Hazel.

Hazel took a deep breath. Her knuckles were white. "I'll think about it."

"Excellent," Octavian said. "By the way, your brother is here."

Hazel stiffened. "My brother? Why?"

Octavian shrugged. "Why does your brother do anything? He's waiting for you at your father's shrine with his pet hellhound. Just... ah, don't invite him to stay too long. He has a disturbing effect on the others. Now, if you'll excuse me I have to keep searching for our poor lost friend, Jason. Nice to meet you, Percy. Welcome to the legion auntie."

The way Octavian said that made Yugito creep out and decided she rather not hear it from Octavian's mouth again.

Hazel stormed out of the pavilion, and Percy and Yugito left.

...

As Hazel marched down the hill, she cursed in Latín that weren't too kind.

"I hate that guy," she muttered in English. "If I had my way-"

"He won't really get elected praetor, will he?" Percy asked.

"I wish I cold be certain. Octavian has a lot of friends, most of them bought. THe rest of the campers are afraid of him."

"Afraid of that skinny little guy?"

"Don't underestimate him. Reyna's not so bad by herself, but if Octavian shares her power..." Hazel shuddered. "Let's go see my brother. He'll want to meet you."

Yugito was actually glad to finally meet Hazel's brother and not talk about Octavian.

Just then a large dog ran up to Hazel and jumped on her shoulders and licked her.

Hazel led Percy and Yugito to a black crypt built into the side of the hill.

"Hey, Hiruzen! Nice to see you too?" Hazel asked.

"Hiruzen?" Yugito asked.

"Yeah, that's his name. He's my brother's pet hellhound," Hazel said.

Hiruzen jumped off Hazel and jumped on Percy and started licking him like he was greeting a good friend of his. Yugito noticed Hiruzen had lava like eyes and razor sharp teeth that she was sure could kill.

"Wow. Hiruzen normally only that friendly to those he's close too," Hazel said.

"I think we have met," Percy said between licks.

"I doubt it. Hiruzen normally stays with my brother," Hazel said. "But he's so friendly the campers often joked they wouldn't mind him sticking around. Come on, Hiruzen. Take us to my brother."

Hiruzen barked and led them to a black crypt built into the side of the hill. Standing in front was a teenage boy in black jeans and an aviator jacket. Hiruzen ran around the boy happily.

"Hey," Hazel called. "I've brought two friends."

The boy turned and Percy had another look that he knew the kid but not where or how. The kid was almost as pale as Octavian, but with dark eyes and messy hair. He didn't look anything like Hazel. He wore a silver skull ring, a chain for a belt, and a black t-shirt with skull designs. At his side hung a pure black second.

For a microsecond after seeing Percy, the boy seemed shocked-panicked even, like he been caught in a searchlight.

"This is Percy Jackson and Yugito Nii," Hazel said. "They're good people. Percy, Yugito, this is my brother, the son of Pluto."

The boy regained his composure and held out his hand. "Please to meet you two," he said. "I'm Nico di Angelo."

A/N: If you gguys forgot Naruto gave a hellhound pup to Nico, surprise. Naturally Hiruzen would be with Nico when he appears in this chapter. Don't worry, Hiruzen won't be going with Nico to Tartarus. I'm not risking one of the hellhound pups like that.

Also Apollo's hatred toward cats, another reference from the fourth Trials of Apollo book. I just couldn't help it.

As for Temple of Apollo, I had no choice but be creative since there's absolutely nothing on what the temple looks like. Not even in the Trials of Apollo books when Apollo was at Camp Jupiter. I do know they mention the golden bow the Romans Gave Apollo for his and Meg's trip back to Camp Half-Blood was a gift from Apollo (Apollo said so himself) and that it was at his temple. So I used it. As for the natural spotlight from the sun beaming through a skylight, I thought that was a nice touch considering this is Apollo (before he was made mortal a third time) we're talking about.
