A/N: Anyone who wants to do a story where the characters read 'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes' series is allowed to do so as long as they tell me before hand.
I don't own Percy Jackson series or Naruto series, or any of the characters of either series. Nor am I the writer of the Son of the Huntress series
Warning: Read these stories if you haven't before reading this story:

'The Legacy of the Heroes of Olympus: The Quest for Buford'
I'm going to make this clear to those who don't approve the idea of legacies in Camp Half-Blood.
One: If you actually looked into Greek Mythology you know there been plenty of Greek Legacies. Heck Frank's ancestors were Greek legacies before they joined the Romans.
Two: Time and time again in the Percy Jackson series they mention many famous names Rick Riordan used as demigods Greek Demigods reaching adulthood-George Washington, Amelia Earhart, F.D.R., General Sherman and many more-many of which had children of their own which would make their kids legacies.
Three: About Naruto not being wise enough to be a Legacy of Athena, keep in mind in future reference for any sequel fanfictions of Percy Jackson that when Percy and Annabeth have kids, if they have any of Percy's personality they might not have much interest in school and thus not show much of any of Athena's wisdom. So I should have a pass on the matter with Naruto because of that fact.
Four: Since I made Naruto a legacy of Athena through Minato, he can't have any connections with the Romans as for any god/goddess, Olympian or Minor to have a legacy they must have children who later grow up to have children of their own. Minerva doesn't have kids, and it been clear before the return of Athena's Parthenos the idea of the matter was saw as a disgrace to the Romans as it meant Minerva broke her vow in their eyes. Not to mention the fact that the feud between Greek and Romans was kept alive for so long because of Athena.
Also for anyone who thinks it be okay having a child/Legacy of Artemis or Hestia to meet the romans, although Diana or Vesta wasn't treated any worse from their Greek counterparts as the comparison of Athena and Minerva, keep in mind they also made a vow to not have any kids, and since Romans take their vows so seriously they have their own god whose domain is over vows I think they would frown upon the idea of Diana and Vesta breaking their vows. Although I did enjoy The Son of the Huntress series, even though Naruto saved Reyna and Hylla the fact any more Romans would accept the idea there being a child and grandchild of two virgin goddesses feels a bit far fetch.
Camp Jupiter's Evening Muster
On the way back, Hazel tripped over a gold bar.
She should have known not to run so fast, but she was afraid of being late for muster. The Fifth Cohort had the nicest centurions in camp. Still, even they would have to punish her if she was tardy. Roman punishments were harsh: scrubbing the streets with a toothbrush, cleaning the bull pens at the coliseum, getting sewn inside a sack full of angry weasels and dumped into the Little Tiber-the options were not great.
The gold bar popped out of the ground just in time for her foot to hit it. Nico tried to catch her, but she took a spill and scraped her hands. Hiruzen stopped next to them and whimpered.
"You okay?" Nico knelt next to her and reached for the gold.
"Don't!" Hazel warned.
Nico froze. "Right. Sorry. It's just... jeez. That thing is huge." He pulled a flask of nectar from his aviator jacket and poured a little on Hazel's hands. Unlike drinking the stuff, it was safer to pour nectar on open wounds, but its still to dangerous for demigods to use too much of. Immediately the cuts started to heal. "Can you stand?"
He helped her up. They both stared at the gold. It was the size of a bread loaf, stamped with a serial number and the words U.S. Treasury.
Nico shook his head. "How in Tartarus-?"
"I don't know," Hazel said miserably. "It could've been buried there by robbers or dropped off a wagon a hundred years ago. Maybe it migrated from the nearest bank vault. Whatever's in the ground, anywhere close to me-it just pops up. And the more valuable it is-"
"The more dangerous it is," Nico frowned. "Should we cover it up? If the fauns find it..."
Hazel imagine a mushroom cloud billowing up from the road, char-boiled fauns tossed in every direction. It was horrible to consider. "It should sink back underground after I leave, eventually, but just to be sure..."
She'd been practicing this trick, but never with something so heavy and dense. She pointed at the gold bar and tried to concentrate.
The gold levitated. She channeled her anger, which wasn't hard-she hated the gold, she hated her curse, she hated thinking about her past and all the ways she failed. Her fingers tingled. The gold bar glowed with heat.
Nico gulped. "Um, Hazel, are you sure...?"
She made a fist. The gold bent like putty. Hazel forced it to twist into a giant lumpy ring. Then she flicked her hand toward the ground. Her million dollar doughnut slammed into the earth. It sank so deep, nothing was left but a scar of fresh dirt.
Nico's eyes widened. "That was... terrifying."
Hazel didn't think it was so impressive compare to the powers of a guy who could reanimate skeletons and bring people back from the dead, but it felt good to surprise him for a change.
Inside the camp, horns blew again. The cohorts would be starting roll call, and Hazel had no desire to be sewn into a sack of weasels.
"Hurry!" she told Nico, and they ran for the gates.
...
The first time Hazel had seen the legion assemble, she'd been so intimidated, she'd almost slunk back to the barracks to hide. Even after being at camp for nine months, she still found it an impressive sight.
The first four cohorts, each forty kids strong, stood in rows in front of their barracks on either side of the Via Praetoria. The Fifth Cohort assembled at the very end, in front of the principia, since their barracks were tucked in the back corner of camp next to the stables and latrines. Hazel had to run right down the middle of the legion to reach her place.
The campers were dressed for war. Their polished chain mail and greaves gleamed over purple T-shirts and jeans. Swords-and-skull designs decorated their helmets. Even their leather combat boots looked ferocious with their iron cleats, great for marching through mud or stomping on faces.
In front of the legionnaires, like a line of dominoes, stood their red and gold shields, each the size of refrigerator doors. Every leggionaire carried a harpoon like spear called a pilum, a gladius, a dagger, and about a hundred pounds of other equipment. If you were out of shape when you came to the legion, you didn't stay that way for long. Just walking around in your armor was a full body workout.
Hazel and Nico jogged down the street as everyone was coming to attention, so their entrance was really obvious. Their footsteps echoed on the stones and it didn't help that Hiruzen was barking as he ran next to them. Hazel tried to avoid eye contact, but she caught Octavian at the head of the First Cohort smirking at her, looking smug in his plumed centurions helmet with a dozen medals pinned on his chest.
Hazel was still seething from his blackmail threats earlier. Stupid augur and his gift of prophecty-of all the peopel at camp to discover her secrets, why it have to be him? She was sure he would have told on her weeks ago, except that he knew her secrets were worth more to him as leverage. She wished she'd kept that bar of gold so she could hit him in the face with it.
She ran past Reyna, who was antering back and forth on her pegasus Scipio-nickname Skippy because he was the color of peanut butter. The metal dogs Aurum and Argentum trotting at her side. Her purple officer's cape billowed behind her.
"Hazel Levesque," she called, "so glad you could join us."
Hazel knew better than to respond. She was missing most of her equipment, but she hurried to her place in line next to Frank and stood at attention. Their lead centurion, a big seventeen-year-old guy name Dakota, was just calling her name-the last one on the roll.
"Present!" she squeaked.
Thank the gods. Technically, she wasn't late.
Nico and Hiruzen joined Percy Jackson and Yugito Nii, who was standing off to one side with a couple of guards. Both of their hair was wet from their baths and both had fresh clothes, but Yugito still had on her new headband and pouch, and Percy still looked uncomfortable. Hazel couldn't blame him. He and Yugito were about to be introduced to two hundred heavily armed kids.
The Lares were the last ones to fall in. Their purple forms flickered as they jockeyed for places. They had an annoying habit of standing halfway inside living people, so that the ranks look like a blurry photograph, but finally the centurions got them sort out.
Octavian shouted, "Colors!"
The standard-bearers stepped forward. They wore lion-skin capes and held poles decorated with each cohort's emblems. The last top present his standard was Jacob, the legion's eagle bearer. He held a long pole with absolutely nothing on top. The job was supposed to be a big honor, but Jacob obviously hatedit. Even though Reyna insisted on following tradition, every time the eagleless pole was raised, Hazel could feel embarrassment rippling through the legion.
Reyna brought her pegasus to a halt.
"Romans!" she announced. "You've probably heard about the incursion today. Two gorgons were swept into the river by these two newcomers, Percy Jackson and Yugito Nii. Juno herself guided both of them here and proclaimed Percy as son of Neptune and Yugito daughter of Apollo. She also proclaimed that Yugito is from another world and that she has powers beyond those of your average child of Apollo, and even has something called the two-tail cat sealed in her."
The kids in the back rows craned their necks to see Percy and Yugito. Percy raised his hand and said hi. Yugito just stood her ground as though she didn't care if they see her or not.
"They both seeks to join the legion," Reyna continued. "What do the auguries say?"
"I have read the entrails," Octavian announced, as if he killed a lion with his bare hands rather than ripping up stuff panda and cat pillows. "The auguries are favoravle. They are both qualified to serve!"
The campers gave a shout: "Ave! Hail!"
Frank was a little late with his "ave." so it came out high pitched echo. The other legionnaires snickered.
Reyna motioned the senior officers forward-one from each cohort. Octavian, as the most senior centurion, turned to Percy and Yugito.
"Recruits," he asked, "do either of you have credentials? Letters of references?"
Hazel remembered this from her own arrival. A lot of kids brought letters from older demigods in the outside world, adults who were veterans of the camp. Some recruits had rich and famous sponsors. Some were third or fourth generation campers. A good letter could get you a position in the better cohorts, sometimes even special jobs like legion messenger, which made you exempt from the grunt work like digging ditches or conjugating Latín verbs."
Percy shifted as Yugito answered. "We traveled together since the wolf house and we weren't given such things."
Octavian wrinkled his nose.
Unfair! Hazel wanted to shout. Percy had carried a goddess into camp as Yugito fended off two gorgons for him. What better recommendation could you want? But Octavian's family had been sending kids to camp for over a century. He loved reminding recruits that they were less important than him.
"No letters," Octavian said regretfully. "Let's start with Percy then. Will any legionnaires stand for them?
"I will!" Frank step forward. "I will speak for both as both saved my life!"
Immediately there were shouts of protest from the other cohorts. Reyna raised her hand for quiet and glare at Frank.
"Frank Zhang," she said, "for the second time today, I remind you that you are on probatio. Your godly parent has not even claimed you yet. You're not eligible to stand for another camper until you've earn your first stripe much less two."
Frank looked like he might die of embarrassment.
Hazel couldn't leave him hanging. Besides, what Pluto said about vessel helping her find her place rang in her head, and she knew she need Yugito's help too. She stepped out of line and said, "What Frank means is that Percy and Yugito saved both our lives. I am a full member of the legion. I will stand for Percy Jackson and Yugito Nii."
Frank glanced at her gratefully, but the other campers started to mutter. Hazel was barely eligible. She'd only gotten her stripe a few weeks ago, and the "act of valor" that earned it for her had been mostly an accident. Not to mention it was unheard of for a camper to stand in for two recruits, mostly because they offer it one at a time. Besides, she was a daughter of Pluto, and a member of the disgraceful Fifth Cohort. She wasn't doing Percy or Yugito much of a favor by giving them her support. And although Yugito could easily get any cohort just on the fact some kind of cat was sealed in her without knowing what the Two-Tails actually, is Hazel hoped Pluto was right and Yugito would help her.
Reyna wrinkled her nose, but she turned to Octavian. Before the augur could speak-most likely for Yugito speak up.
"Praetor if I may, Juno said I have to help Percy, and I got the feeling she meant more than just getting here to camp. Whichever Cohort Percy goes to, I'll join too." Yugito said.
"Are you sure Yugito? Someone in a different Cohort for you," Reyna said.
"I'm positive." Yugito said and glared at any centurion and legionnaire that might say otherwise. Most backed down. Octavian looked disappointed as though he thought he was getting a new recruit to boss around, but something about Yugito's glare told even Hazel that she was joining the same cohort as Percy, whether they like it or not. Yugito was deadset to keep her promise to Juno. Octavian waved his hand as to say 'Go ahead.'
"Very well," Reyna announced. "Hazel Levesque, you may stand for both recruits. Does your cohort accept?"
The other cohorts bit back their tongues about wanting Yugito. They didn't really care about Percy. For all they care he was another loser for the fifth.
Frank pounded his shield against the ground. The other members of the Fifth followed his lead, more excited than normal when they welcome a recruit, much less two. Maybe they had hope that since Yugito had a cat sealed in her that it meant times were changing for them. Their centurions Dakota and Gwen, on other hand, exchange pained looks, like: Here we go again.
"My cohort has spoken," Dakota said. "We accept both recruits."
Reyna looked at Percy and Yugito with pity. "Congratulations, Percy Jackson and Yugito Nii. You both stand on probatio. You will be given a tablet with your name and cohort. In one year's time, or as soon as either or both of you complete an act of valor; you will become a full member of the Twelfth Legion Fulminata. Serve Rome, obey the rules of the legion, and defend the camp with honor. Senatus Populusque Romanus!"
The rest of the legion echoed the cheer.
Reyna wheeled her pegasus away from Percy and Yugito, like she was glad to be done with them. Skippy spread his beautiful wings. Hazel couldn't help feeling a pang of envy. SHe'd given anything for a horse like that, but it would never happen. Horses were for officers only, or barbarian cavalry, not for Roman legionnaires.
"Centurions," Reyna said, "you and your troops have one hour for dinner. Then we will meet on the Field of Mars. The First and Second Cohorts will defend. The Third, Fourth, and Fifth with attack. Good fortune!"
A bigger cheer went up-for the war games and for dinner. The cohorts broke ranks and ran for the mess hall.
Hazel waved at Percy and Yugito, who made their way through the crowd with Nico and Hiruzen by his side. To Hazel's surprise, Nico was beaming at her.
"Good job, Sis," he said. "That took guts, especially standing for both of them."
He had never called her Sis before. SHe wondered if that was what he had called Bianca.
One of the guards had given Percy and Yugito their probatio name plate. Percy strung it on his leather necklace where as the guard gave Yugito a leather necklace for hers.
"Thanks, Hazel," he said. "Um, what exactly does it mean-you're standing for us?"
"I guarantee both of your good behaviors," Hazel explained. "I teach you two the rules, answer your questions, make sure neither of you don't disgrace the legion. Normally one camper stands for one recruit but now I share responsibility for both of you." Hazel said.
"And... if one of us do something wrong?" Yugito asked.
"Then I get killed along with you, but I don't know about the other. As I said, it's normally one legionnaire standing in for one recruit," Hazel said.
"Well, I guess that will just make this an interesting experience for the three of us," Yugito said.
"That's the spirit," Hazel said. "Hungry? Let's eat."
A/N: I want to make clear that I looked into it and found Yugito has done D-rank missions in the original series unlike Gaara. So I didn't really change anything to Yugito's backstory to say she have done d-rank missions.
