"'Sebbie'? What are you, six?"

"He said, 'That's okay, boy, won't you feed him when you can'."

Dollface tried not to let her smile waver. One more sound from the spoiled brat next to her and someone would get it. "Well, he wants me t'call 'em that, so I will."

It's only been five minutes and I hate her already.

Regina rolled her dark eyes, set into her pale, spotless, oval face. Dollface clenched a fist, watching her roll down the automatic window of Uncle Sebbie's car and light up another cigarette

"Catch a cannonball now to take me down the line." Michael sang along to Dollface's music.

"Regina, please refrain."

"I do what I want, Sebbie." She said, pulling out a carton.

Sebastian white knuckled from where Dollface could see. Even he was getting upset.

"My bag is sinkin' low and I do believe it's time"

Michael liked this song.

She was glad that he'd returned.

"So, sister," Regina said, light voice focused again on her, not interested in the town they were finally leaving, "Are combat boots crusted with muck a staple with taffeta? Or is that just you?"

"To get back to Miss Fanny, you know she's the only one…"

Dollface breathed in sharply, watching the girl stealing Princess D's look take a puff and blow it out the window. She couldn't say anything. "Where'd ya go t'school?"

"St. Rupert's Private Girl's Academy." She said with an air. "And as I said earlier, Daddy wants to send us both to St. Godiva's in Oregon."

"What?" Dollface asked.

"Are you thick in the skull, sister?"

"Um, no, I just-"

"Daddy wants to send us to St. Godiva's Private Academy together." Regina said. "In. Or. Ay. Gone."

Dollface gulped. She scratched her arms, watching her nails leave behind angry red tracks.

"Who sent me here with her regards for everyone."

Dollface was glad Michael had come back. She didn't hear him sing often either, so his return was a pleasant surprise.

"Yes, I'm afraid that's why this is happening. Your father wanted you to get to know eachother., see each other's lives." Sebastian said, sounding strained, "And in your Senior year, he's hoping to transfer you two to St. Godiva's. It's a private charter school in the Oregon woods. Things might change though."

"Take a load off, Annie."

Dollface searched the car in a sudden panic. What did 'things might change' mean?

Was she getting shipped across the country this week?

"Take a load for free."

"Regina, we've long since hit the highway proper," Sebastian said, still sounding strained, "You need to put on your belt."

"Sure, Sebbie." She said, and dropped the ciggie out the window, pushing a button. Dollface watched it, used to Grampa's manual windows.

"Aren't ya gonna put it on?" Dollface nervously tittered. Michael, the bastard, was still MIA.

Regina smirked. "No."

"Take a load off Annie…"

Dollface shifted, fiddling with her seat belt. Time to earn some good brownie points, apparently. She reached over and snagged her finger on the belt, pulled it as far as it would go and buckled Regina in.

"Aaaaandddd…."

She released, grinning at the snapping noise as it hit her sister in the well-gifted chest.

"Hey!" Regina shouted, poise gone, "Get off!"

"Aaaaaanddd…"

Dollface laughed, Michael shining, as Regina struggled with the unescapedable forces of child lock.

"Aaaannndddd…"

Today might be a good day afterall.

"And ya put th'load right on in!"
