Chapter 8
So, the ten friends went to Hogsmeade to go get dress robes for the Valentine's Day Ball.
"So, the plan is to get formal attire, boutonnieres, and corsages, and then we'll meet at the Three Broomsticks for lunch," Ginny said.
"Sounds like a plan. But who's going to get formal attire first?" Lavender said.
"I think that the girls will get their formal attire first and then we will get ours," Neville said. Everyone agreed.
The girls went to a dress robe shop called Madam Abbot's Wizard and Muggle Fashions. The store is really nice. The walls are medium blue, the chandelier on the ceiling looked so pretty, the dress robes and Muggle attire are all hung on each section by style and color, and the shoes are on the shoe section also by style and color. The girls (except Lavender) start to pick out some dress robes and Muggle attire to try on in the fitting rooms.
"Okay. Ginny, do you care to go first?" Luna asked.
"Yeah. I'll go," Ginny said. She went inside one of the fitting rooms to try on the dresses she picked out. When Ginny came out, she had a red dress that went down to her ankles and sleeves that almost reached her elbows.
"The dress is very pretty. But the dress also matches your hair. So no," Lavender said.
"Next," Hermione, Luna, and Parvati said. Ginny went back in to try on another dress. This time, she had a medium pink dress robes that went down to her knees.
"I love it. The dress is very beautiful on you," Hermione said. Lavender, Luna, and Parvati nodded their heads in agreement.
"Thank you," Ginny said. She went back to the fitting rooms, change out of the dress robes, and came back to the regular clothes she had on while carrying the dress robes she had in her arms.
"Parvati, you're next,"
Parvati went to the fitting rooms, then Parvati came out wearing a pink rose dress robes that went down to her knees and the sleeves that almost reach her elbows.
"I love it," Lavender said. Hermione, Luna, and Ginny nodded their heads in agreement.
"Thank you," Parvati said. She went back to the fitting rooms and changed.
"I'll go next," Luna said, as Parvati came out wearing the clothes she had on while holding her dress robes. Luna went into the fitting rooms, then walked out wearing a light pink dress robes that went down to her knees and the sleeves are shoulder length.
"Beautiful," Ginny said. Lavender, Parvati, and Hermione nod their heads.
"Thank you," Luna said, as she went back into the fitting rooms and changed. Then, Hermione went into the fitting rooms as Luna came out with her dress robes in her arms. When Hermione came out, she was wearing a strapless red dress robes that almost went down to her ankles. The girls were in awe.
"Hermione, you look so beautiful! Oh, Merlin! I'm gonna cry," Ginny said with tears in her eyes. Luna handed her a tissue.
"Thank you, Luna," Ginny said, wiping her tears away with a tissue. Lavender and Parvati also had tears in their eyes. Luna also handed them tissues. The girls said their thanks to the Ravenclaw and wiped their tears away with tissues.
"So, do you guys have dates to the ball?" Hermione asked.
"Ron and I are going together," Luna said, blushing.
"Neville asked me 2 days ago," Ginny said (A/N).
"Dean asked me yesterday," Parvati said.
"Seamus asked me after Charms class," Lavender said.
Hermione went back into the fitting room and came out with the dress robes in her arms. The girls went to the shoe aisle and picked out their shoes to wear with their dress robes. Hermione picked out red high heels, Ginny picked out medium pink 3-inch heels, Luna picked light pink 2-inch heels, Parvati picked the rose pink 4-inch heels, and Lavender picked out white 4-inch heels. The girls paid for their dresses and shoes, and then went to the shop for boutonnieres for their dates.
Lavender picked a red tulip, Ginny picked a pink tulip, Luna picked a light pink tulip, Parvati picked a pink rose, and Hermione picked a red rose.
When the girls were done, they met up with the boys at the Three Broomsticks. They ordered butterbeer and their food.

The friends headed back to Hogwarts after their trip to Hogsmeade and went back to their respective common rooms. Harry and Hermione went back to the couch and sat down, while the other Gryffindor's went to their dorms.
"Hermione?" Harry said her name, breaking the silence.
"Yes?" Hermione faced him.
"Doyouwanttogototheballwithme?" Harry asked, too fast.
"Do you want to go to the ball with me?" Harry asked.
"Harry," Hermione started to say.
What will Hermione's answer be? Yes or no?
