Sora crawled out through the entrance of the small cave. He then stood up, scanning over the island's beach. But saw there was no sign of Riku anywhere.
"Riku?" He called out.
"Riku, where are you?"
He then cocked his head, glancing up at the large tree off to his right. He then raced ahead along the narrow ledge just as Elsa emerged from the cave behind him. She then stood up as she saw Sora running ahead.
"Sora, wait!" Elsa said, following after him.
The two made their way around the base of the large tree and the other side, she found Sora gazing up at the patio above. He cupped his mouth with both his hands as he called up to the tree house.
"Riku?" He said, aloud.
"Are you up there?"
But still there was no answer. Only the sounds of the island itself. Sora came up and climbed up over the ledge.
"Sora, slow down." Elsa called to him.
Sora climbed up over the balcony of the tree house above. He then came around the tree, where he came up to the entrance of makeshift treehouse.
"Riku?" He said as he peered inside.
But there was no one to be seen inside. Sora stood within the entrance of the treehouse, frowning so sullenly. This was usually where they would come if anything ever happened. But there was no one here. He then turned and gazed back over the beach. He then rushed over to the edge of the balcony, where he continued to called out for Riku.
But still there was no answer. Sora frowned, narrowing his eyes.
Elsa had come up over the balcony. She then came up to Sora, who glanced to her, worryingly.
"He's not here." Sora said.
Elsa turned to the small makeshift hut, which did appear empty. It didn't sound like there was anybody else was on the island. Seeing how small the island was, Sora's friend would have been able to hear them. She didn't wish to jump to any conclusions. But she couldn't help but feel there was something off about what was going on here.
"It doesn't look like anybody is here." she said, glanced down to Sora.
Sora then shook his head.
"But he has to be," The boy insisted.
"Riku's boat is still here."
Sora pointed over toward the nearby dock. Elsa glanced over, where she saw two small boats tied to the ports.
"Boat?" Elsa said, glancing down to Sora.
Sora nodded his head.
"Me and Riku sail here from the mainland." Sora insisted to the snow queen.'
"The Island has always been our favorite place to come and play."
Elsa glanced down to Sora.
"You two sound close." Elsa said.
Sora nodded his head in agreement.
"Riku's my best friend in the whole world," The boy insisted.
"We've always been together ever since we were little. And one day, we're going on a journey to see other worlds."
Elsa couldn't help but smile, chuckling at the boy. Hearing how close he and Riku sounded to be, it made her think of how close she was to Anna. In a way, this boy reminded her a lot of her sister. Which is why, she could allow for what happened between her and Anna, happened to him as well. She remembered how painful it was for them to be separated.
"Don't worry," She said, rubbing the top of his head.
"We'll find him."
Sora glanced up to the Snow Queen. The small smile and look of hope upon the boy's face was a sight which touched the very heart of the Snow Queen.
The snow queen stood up, where she glanced over head, where she saw another island off in the distance. This one much larger then the one they were one. There were also several houses which looked to be a town.
"It looks like there's a town over on that island." She said.
Sora glanced over to the island overhead. He then smiled, nodding his head.
"That's the mainland." The boy insisted to her.
Elsa nodded in agreement. Perhaps Riku could be there. As well as someone who could help them.
"We should probably go get some help first," Elsa insisted to the boy.
"Maybe Riku is already be there."
Sora gazed ahead toward the mainland. The idea that Riku would already be on the mainland, even with his boat still here on the island seemed strange. But if there was really was there, then they had to go. He glanced up at the Snow Queen, nodding his head.
"Yeah, lets go!" Sora proclaimed.
Elsa and Sora came up along the islands dock. Sora ran up to where his boat was tied. He then paused, glancing down at his boat which looked to small to carry them both. Elsa glanced down to him, curiously.
"What's wrong?" she asked, curiously.
Sora looked up to her.
"My boats too small." the boy proclaimed.
Elsa looked down at the boy's boat. It did indeed look too small to carry them both to the mainland.
"Your right, there's no way we'll get to the mainland on that." she agreed.
"What are we going to do?" Sora asked, curiously.
Elsa pondered for a moment. They would need something larger if they were to reach the mainland. But how were they going to find something big enough for them both?
The snow queen then looked down at her hands. She then glanced to the side, pondering for a moment. Would it be a good idea to use her powers? Especially with this boy watching?
She glanced down to Sora, where she saw him looking up at her, curiously. What if he didn't understand? What if it scares him like it did when she reveal them to her people?
But they had to get to the mainland somehow and there was no other way for to cross the sea.
Elsa turned back to Sora.
"Well, there might be one way." she insisted.
Elsa came up to the edge of the dock. She twirled her right hand, creating a flurry of her magic. The sight of which caused Sora to stare in awe and amazement, seeing the magic of the snow queen. Her magic flurried down over the water, where it then turned into a large boat of ice. Sora gazed down in amazement.
Seeing what she assumed was the boy's shock at her powers, Elsa fears were realized. She knew it. She knew this would happen. He must be so scared of her now. Just as her people were that faithful day.
Yet the snow queen came to be surprised by what was to follow.
"Wow, That's amazing!" the boy said.
"You have magic powers?"
Sora glanced back up to Elsa. What had been a look of awe and shock that the Snow Queen, was now replaced with that of excitement. Hearing those same words as Sora had said, seeing the boy smiling up at her, Elsa couldn't help but feel a bit confused. Much like how she did when Sora had called her powers amazing long ago. But at the same time, she couldn't help but feel a bit touched by his words.
She then nodded her head to the boy.
"Well, Yes." she said.
"Wow, cool!" Sora proclaimed.
"You can make things. That's so awesome!"
Elsa stared down at the boy, speechless and in awe herself. Having her powers to be seen as something amazing, rather then a monster. And for it not being said by her sister no less, it was not something that she was used to hearing. It was true that the people of Arrendelle were beginning to accept her powers. But it was still quite new to her after what had been so many years of believing they were a detriment on her and her family.
She glanced to the side, her cheeks blushing a bright red. She then glanced down to Sora.
"Come on," She said.
"We should get moving."
Elsa climbed down into the boat of ice below. She then turned back to the dock, reaching out her arms to him. Sora narrowed down over the deck, where Elsa took hold of him and placed him into the boat. And with a gust of her powers, the two sailed off toward the mainland.
