The Fazbear Girls stood in the dark lobby after a very long ride back to their home base in the small town's Freddy's. Tonight had been a success, and so everyone was running around the showroom, setting up sleeping bags and boardgames, giggling with excitement at getting the entire building to themselves.
Except Dollface and Regina.
Regina glared at everyone.
"Somethin' is very wrong here." Dollface said, stating the obvious as she stood near the empty stage. The animatronics were probably in a back room somewhere for tonight. She turned, the security grate over the door trapping them inside locked and engaged for the night.
"Calm down. Can't you have some fun? You have been super stressed all summer!" Princess groaned, clipping her crown back into her hair over the bunny headband after releasing her hair from it's rolled prison. It was getting crowded on her head, especially with the addition of the bun. She nervously fluffed her curled and sprayed bangs.
"Yeah, seems like even t'bots 're gone fer vacation t'night." Dolli Mae said.
Dollface put her hand on her hip, staring at the tight sleeve on her shoulder and counting the colorful beads.
"Why would they just let us stay here? Without them?" Dollface asked aloud to herself, unconsciously touching the buzzed side of her head. "Like, isn't that an insurance claim waitin' t'happen?"
"I dunno man." Wolfie said. "What time is it? I gotta wake up early an'get papers delivered tomorrow."
"Almost midnight." Dollface answered with a sniff. Getting a nosebleed in the car just before arriving had been annoying, but luckily Henry had tossed a pack of travel tissues at her.
"I refuse to sleep in this dump." Regina snarked, watching Wolfie join Princess and Izzy to play Pizza Party at a table.
"It's fine." Dollface said, "Maybe we should calm down."
As much as she wished she could, the feeling of unease still dictated her, Michael nowhere to be found. She batted a fly, Regina clearly disgusted by the smell that surrounded them.
"Take off yer shoes, Reggie, we kin hang." Dollface said, taking off her platforms and replacing them with her black combat boots, "I'll even show ya how t'knit like ya asked."
Dolli Mae ran past them, coat billowing behind, "I call th'Crow's Nest!"
"Hey, what is this?" Izzy walked over and picked up a note that had fallen behind Dolli Mae.
"'93-87-78'?" Izzy shrugged, handing it to Dolli Mae.
"Looks like a safe code. I think I saw a cabinet in Henry's office." Dolli Mae pocketed it into her pirate's duster.
"Arf! Arf!"
A toy dog? Dollface grabbed it. It writhed and tried to bite her with its useless jaws.
Ew.
It smelled like old Cheetos and skunk. She dropped it and it fell with a squeak to her booted feet.
Something's wrong.
"Dang, there's that weird smell again!" Izzy groaned, annoyed, "I should go check that out, just in case."
"Aw, c'mon!" Wolfie moaned, "We just got started!"
"I'm gettin' ya'll a snack, calm down!" Izzy sighed, "I think Henry said there was popcorn in a cabinet somewhere."
"Get two bags, 'kay?"
"Sure." Izzy said, "My pleasure!" And walked barefoot to the kitchen, far down a hall illuminated by twinkling stars, "I'll even bring back some chips too."
The girls chorused behind her, snacks handled for them.
"Yo Dollie, wanna take over?" Wolfie asked.
"C'mon Reggie, atleast play Pizza Party?"
"Top calling me that Regina squinted, annoyed, "Fine, if you'll leave me alone."
"Great." Dollface said, pulling Regina over. Regina pulled away, going on her own terms and feeling excessively stupid in her striped shirt and jean shorts, a propeller beanie on her head.
"Wait, sorry Reggie, can ya take my place?" Wolfie asked, "I think I heard somethin' in the prize room."
And Wolfie was gone, thin frame lumbering to the arcade.
Regina took her place and Princess explained the rules, handing her a pepperoni shaped piece.
Regina studied it, disgusted by the greasy grin. "I'd rather have the mushroom."
Dollface switched pieces, getting Regina's pepperoni.
"I said I'd rather have the mushroom."
"Too bad, 'cause Izzy already claimed it."
"How do you know?"
"'Cause she always does." Dollface said, pointedly slapping the pepperoni down, "Izzy, let's play."
"You can play, I'm going to find something better to do!" And with that, Regina stomped off.
"Well, it is no fun playing one on one." Princess said, "Can we wait a while?"
"Yeah, it's fine." Dollface said, annoyed and disappointed. She was expecting to have a good time, but it looked like she and Michael were on their own tonight.
Sigh.
As Dollface stood and left, Michael told her to take cover. As she entered the bathroom to wash her face and get changed, the lights went out, leaving her in the dark.
