We step out and see some employees standing at the door. They see us coming and someone turns and steps forward.
"What's going on? Why are the doors closed and where's your father?"
"Calm down, Eugene, I'll open the door, dad has changed the code, he won't be coming for the rest of this week."
The others heard Johnny and became worried. I can see they love their boss and their job a lot, Johnny has a lot to proof to them that he is capable of being their boss. He looks at me and I nudge my head towards the employees. Signing that he should try. He inhales deeply and looks at everyone.
"Listen people, I know you're worried."
He went to the door.
"Where's your father?"
"I better can't tell, but he's fine, he just needs a few days of relaxation."
"Is there anything we can do?"
Johnny turns and sees everyone looking at him. He starts to smile.
"I can see you're all worried about my father."
"Well, yeah, your father is a good man and a good boss, we don't want to lose our jobs."
"And I understand, you won't be losing your jobs, this is something personal, he wouldn't want you all to be worried about him."
He turns and puts in the new code. The building unlocks and the doors open. People thank him and go inside to start working. Eugene keeps standing outside, he looks at Johnny while he thinks. Eugene is the accountant and a personal friend from Ron.
"Was your mother in town?"
Johnny inhales deeply and looks down.
"She's still in town?"
"Yes, and she came inside the building after opening hour and threatened him."
"What does she want? I can see if there's enough left in the budget."
"She doesn't want money."
"What does she want?"
"The company, and she threatened him that she would hurt Baby if he doesn't give her the papers in three weeks, and my half-brother punched dad on his face."
Eugene looks at me and I only inhale deeply. Johnny takes my hand and I look at him.
"Is your father safe?"
"Yes, he's with Baby's grandparents."
"I see, just like when you were eight."
"Yes, what should we do now?"
"Well, obviously, she's not getting the company. Come, let's go inside and talk."
Johnny nods and then looks at me. I give him a kiss and smile a little.
"You'll be a great boss, I just know it because I think you're the best one for the company."
"Thanks for having so much faith in me."
"You can do this, go talk with Eugene, I guess he knows all about the situation."
"I'll tell him the plan too, we can trust him."
I smile and kiss him again. He grabs me and inhales deeply.
"I'm going to do the things I need to do with Amanda. I'll see you upstairs, okay?"
"Okay, we didn't went to Pen yesterday."
"Then we'll go this afternoon."
"I love you."
I smile, he bites his lip and with giving me one more kiss he went inside to Eugene's office. I went inside to Ron's office, upon opening the door, I see Maggie sitting behind her desk. She looks up and smiles at me.
"You've got a lot of work to do, Maggie?"
"A few things that Ron told me yesterday."
"All right, do those things and then have some free time, okay?"
"Okay, when will he come back?"
"I don't know, I'll tell him to call you."
"What about being paid? I don't want to spend my free days on this."
"Don't worry, I'll make sure you get paid for these days, so you won't have to spend any free days."
Maggie looks at me as she is thinking, then she inhales deeply and nods.
"I got your back."
"Thanks, Frances."
"Call me Baby."
She nods and looks at her screen again. I went to Ron's desk and see the resignation papers for Amanda. I sit down and take them. Maggie looks up and sees me sitting, she frowns a little as she observes me. Amanda knocks on the door. Maggie stands up to open the door and let Amanda come inside. I look up and see her, she smiles as she came to me.
"Where's the boss?"
"You can call him Ron now, he's not your boss anymore."
"Sorry, I forgot, you're my boss now."
"Right that I am, but you don't have to call me boss either, okay? Just call me Baby."
"That would be weird."
I look back at the papers as I was reading them. I gesture her to sit down, and she did as she keeps looking at me. I smile as I see that Ron wants to give her a bonus. I have not seen a resignation paper before, but I only have ten people working for me, excluding Amanda, and I have not had to fire one of them so far. I might start to study some business management as well. I have not really thought about this because I have my solicitor who actually do all of these things for me.
Right, I think it is time for me to tell you, reader, how this all started, how I became the youngest female entrepreneur in history.
When I started doing the events for dad, I was twelve. When dad saw I was really interested to keep doing them, he at first thought that this became a hobby from me that I did besides school, so he had let me do them. When I became thirteen I looked up information about doing this as an entrepreneur, but I was still too young to start a company. I also met my solicitor at that age and he offered to help me. I already got help from my accountant with investing my allowance.
By the time I got fifteen, I had earned so much already that I could hire my solicitor to work for me. I had hired my accountant too who is really good, because somehow she had let me earn double the money now as I did last year. I looked for an advisor too, so right now I have ten employees who work for me. I am an official entrepreneur since about six months now.
Right after I got seventeen, that was the moment I could start it without consent from my parents, even though I am not yet eighteen, and mom and dad would have given me their consent anyway. I wanted to start this as early as possible. It is a hole in the law or something my lawyer told me. My family actually knows I am doing this since I was twelve.
That is why dad was acting in the beginning like he did as you know already, and he is right. I do not need a job. I just wanted to try something else. I know it is only three and a half weeks, almost four weeks, that I work for Johnny now, and as much as I love this job. I know that I just want to keep it to event management. I have learned a lot already, but not yet everything.
So, now you know my back story, and why I became an entrepreneur on such a young age, and also a billionaire as well. I look at Amanda, and I think I should explain her a thing or two about me. She is my assistant after all.
"I'm not that long an entrepreneur."
"I thought you did this for years."
"I do organize events since I was twelve, but I'm officially an entrepreneur since about six months."
"How did you do this?"
"I have a lot of connections, and asking the right people gets you where you want to be."
"And me?"
"You'll be my eleventh employee, my assistant."
"But I'll be working for Johnny, right?"
"Yes, together with me."
"Is that why I will work part-time?"
"Yes, and also when you're going to study, you'll need time to do assignments and homework."
"Same for you, right?"
"Exactly, you're very smart."
"Thank you."
I smile as I look at her. I hand her the resignation paper and she takes it. I watch her reading them.
"These are the resignation papers from Ron. You need to sign one copy."
Amanda takes a pen and signs one, she gives it back to me. I lay it on its place. I look back at Amanda. She is smarter than she showed me before. I was actually a little surprised at first, but I think it is a good thing. I take the contract out of my purse. I have picked it up right before we got here. Johnny was a little surprised to see the people in the office, my office that is, I am practically never there, which I should change.
Hmm, I just realize what turn of events this story has made now. Or maybe not.
"If you want to sign your contract."
I give the contract to her, and she looks at it. I watch her reading it with a smile. She takes the pen and signs it. She gives a copy back to me.
"Thanks, well, now we've done the paperwork, you're ready to see what you need to do?"
"Yes, I'm quite excited to be honest."
I smile at her as I put the contract in my purse and stand up. She stands up as well. Maggie looks up at us and I give her a nod. She nods back as we went outside to the elevator.
"I need to go to the office."
Johnny looks up when he finished the last lesson of the day. I walk inside and he smiles. He grabs me and lifts me up. I giggle as he twirls. I grab his head and kiss him.
"Hmm."
"No."
"Hmm."
He presses me a little more against him. I smile as I look at his face, he is biting his lip as he looks at my mouth and then back up at my eyes.
"Not here, you really need to learn to hold your horses when we're at work."
"You're irresistible."
Amanda came to the dance room and looks at us. I giggle as I feel his lips brushing over my throat to my button. But I pull back to make him stop. He let out a sad moan. I turn my head and see Amanda standing there. She smiles as she is looking at us.
"I'm done with your assignment. Do I need to do anything else?"
I look at my watch and see it is almost dinner time. I look back at her.
"No, you're done for today."
"No working this evening?"
"We're not doing demonstrations anymore and there are no lessons planned this evening."
"Okay, I guess I'll be going home then."
I nod and look at Johnny who plant his lips onto mine. I giggle as I kiss him back.
"You both look so happy."
We look at her again and see her smiling.
"Thank you."
"Maybe she should come on Saturday as well."
I look at him and frown.
"Why?"
"Well, if we're going to make a plan and we're going to discuss about Kellerman's, shouldn't she be there too? Since she's coming with us to Kellerman's, she's your assistant after all."
"You're right."
I let him go and he sighs. I roll my eyes and I went to Amanda who looks from him to me. I take her back to the office. I turn my head to look at him and he smiles. I give him a wink, he bites his lip.
"Clean the place up a bit, we need to go to Pen before dinner."
"Aye, boss."
I roll my eyes, making Amanda to chuckle as we enter the office. I see she has put everything in its place. I smile because she is learning really fast.
"Looks good, I can see you're doing your best."
"I wouldn't want to ruin this job."
I look at her and see her smile. I smile back at her.
"You're lucky, Baby, do you know that?"
"Why?"
"Look at your life, you've got it all figured out, and you've got a hot boyfriend too, you can do what you want and you're only seventeen."
"Don't be surprised when you know my father. I can't do what I want since I'm still seventeen. You had to see my father's face when Johnny came to my place the first time."
"I can imagine, mine is way overprotective."
"Fathers will always be overprotective I think, but I don't think I'm lucky, I work hard for what I have. I'm a self-made billionaire because I met the right people."
"So your parents aren't rich then?"
"Oh, yes, they are, both millionaires, dad also is self-made because of the charities he has put up, and the work he does at the hospital. Mom is because of the family wealth."
"I'm so curious right now."
I smile as I take my purse and look at Johnny's desk. I let out a deep sigh. Amanda looks at it as well.
"I didn't know if I should do something about it or not."
"Actually, you should, that's part of your job, he's way too messy."
We cleaned the desk and I smile when I see the picture. He has framed the picture that he got from Ron, you know, the one from when he was eight. He said it was to remind him of how special I am and how special it is what we have. Amanda sees the picture as well and became curious about it.
"Is this Johnny?"
"Yes, from when he was eight."
"He was a cute kid."
She sees his smile and then thinks about the first time I came to the company. She had seen that smile as well back then, she has never seen it before.
"That smile."
"What about it?"
"I never saw that smile before until you came here the day of your interview."
"It's his special smile only for me."
She looks at my face. I point at the picture, and she looks at it again.
"The baby."
"I'm confused."
"That's me."
I see her surprise as she looks back at me.
"So…"
"It's a long story and we'll tell you all about it but not today, okay?"
She nods as she thinks. Johnny came to the office and sees us standing at his desk.
"I won't ever want to ruin what you have with Johnny."
I look at her face, Johnny starts to smile about that and came closer. She jumps a little and I smile at her. That is the most mature thing I have heard her saying so far.
"Thanks, Amanda, I'm glad to hear that."
"Indeed, I'm glad to see you want to try your best for Baby."
"It's the best job I've ever had."
"Well, we need to go. I need to hand in your contract, we need to visit Penny and then have dinner."
"I hope she'll be alright very soon."
"Me too."
Johnny looks at me and gives me a kiss on my cheek.
"Have you ask her about Saturday?"
"No, I nearly forgot."
"What's Saturday?"
"You've got plans?"
"Not yet, normally I go out clubbing, but I haven't decided yet for this Saturday."
"Well, put that clubbing on another date, you're coming with us."
"Where to?"
"To my grandparents, they've invited the family for dinner, and it's also to talk about what to do when we go to Kellerman's."
"Am I really going with you to Kellerman's?"
"Yes, you need to work there too."
"Don't dream too much about it, the place is not as amazing as it makes people think it does."
Amanda and I look at Johnny as he inhales deeply. I take his hand and he looks at me with his special smile.
"Where do your grandparents live?"
"I'll send Gio to pick you up, just be ready."
"What should I wear?"
"Just something casual, they're no royalties."
"But they're millionaires, right?"
"You'll love my grandparents."
"Let's go."
