Amanda watches the employees serving them all the main course. She has not said a thing since dinner started. I look at her and see her astonishment as she sees the main course coming, and looking at how the employees are working so hard while having a smile on their face.

"What's this?"

Johnny looks at her and then at her plate.

"That's duck."
"Duck?"
"Yes, it's amazing, try it."

Did I told you, reader, that I have a huge love for duck? I know it is weird, but I love the taste of it, it is my favorite food. Johnny looks at me as I am attacking the food. My family and also Johnny are used to this, but Amanda, Ron, and Paula are not, and they are gaping at me. Johnny chuckles about my face, he takes his napkin and takes the gravy off my cheek. I look at him with a grin. Then Johnny looks at pops and his father.

"So, what's the plan about Kellerman's?"

I guess he was waiting for this conversation. I know he is not keen on going to the resort, but at least I am with him, and Penny and Billy will be there too. Ron looks at his son and takes another bite. Leo is smiling and cutting his piece of duck into pieces to eat.

"I've called Max and explained the situation, he still wants you to come and work there. I could arrange a nice cabin for Penny, so she'll be a guest this summer. He doesn't think there's need for a meeting with us and Baby, we just need to do everything part-time instead, and the show at the other hotel is cancelled."
"Okay, thanks for trying to get a meeting done, dad, I'm just happy Pen can be there with us."
"Me too, son, but he told me that he won't be making it easy on you now you're doing this alone."

Johnny let out a frustrated sigh, I lay my hand on his thigh. He lays his hand on mine. I am so curious about how Max treats his employees.

"And he said that you will keep the cabin you always have and that Penny's cabin is for your assistant."
"I hate that cabin."
"He doesn't want to give you another one, this is him punishing you for all the years you've been fooling around with guests there."

Johnny sighs and looks at the plate. I inhale deeply, I forgot about that part. Seriously, reader, I have forgotten about the womanizer part because he has changed so much already. I look at him and I can see he just wants to forget about that part of him. I turn my hand and squeeze a little to reassure him it is all right.

"I told Max you've changed and that you've got a girlfriend now."
"Yeah?"
"He didn't believed one word of it, he said he'll see it with his own two eyes."
"Did you told him it's Baby?"
"No, I wanted to keep that as a surprise."

Johnny snorts as he takes a bite. I let his hand go so I can eat further on this delicious duck while I listen to their conversation, just like everyone else is doing.

"Billy will be there too, he can help you out too."
"Don't worry, dad, I got Baby and Amanda to help me."
"Yes, I know."
"Billy always goes as an allrounder, you know that."
"What can I expect?"

We look at Amanda. She interrupted the conversation because of the tensions everyone is feeling. I look at her with a little smile, silently thanking her for the interruption.

"A lot of waiters and bust boys who can't stop romancing the girls, and me getting lessons all the time about moral from Max."

I look back at Johnny and start to frown. I take his hands again, he let out a deep sigh as he looks in my eyes.

"It's going to be okay."
"I wish there wasn't so much at stake, otherwise I would've stopped going to Kellerman's all together."
"I know, but it will be fine, trust me."

He takes a deep breath. I nod at him to assure him it will be fine. As soon as Max knows I am Johnny's girlfriend, he will change his opinion. For who wants to go against Jake Houseman's youngest daughter, right? And I know for a fact that dad really likes Johnny, so dad will probably be on our side anyway.

I look at dad and see him thinking, he looks at me and sees my smile. He starts to smile too and gives me a nod. Yes, I even think that dad is secretly hoping for us to marry one day and have many babies, even though he said he is not ready yet to become a grandfather. Mom looks at dad with a smile, then she lays her hand on his arm, making him look at her. I can see them smiling and nodding. I am pretty sure they have been talking a lot about Johnny and me.

"So, now that's settled, what will we do about your ex-wife?"

Ron looks at pops, who seems to think it is the right moment to talk about the plan. Ron nods at him.

"I have an idea."

We look at Lisa who is smiling. Paula smiles at her girlfriend, they have been talking about this a lot, and I can see Lisa is determined about this. I can see she wants to help, she has changed so much since she came out, much more confidence as well, I am really liking to see my sister like this.

"I've been thinking about this since the phone-call."
"What's your idea, Lissy?"
"Since she doesn't know who we are, except for Baby, we need to get her to talk, and for that, I was thinking of becoming friends with her."
"Friends?"

Oh, I get it, Lisa, you brilliant sister! But will this really work? What if she finds out who Lisa truly is? I do not want my sister to get hurt.

"So, you basically want to get on the same page as her so you can uncover her plan?"

Lisa looks at me and smiles while giving me a nod. I start to smile at her as well. This is a brilliant plan for real, I wonder what my sister has more up her sleeve.

"No, I don't want you to become like her, Lissy."

We look at dad, who gets agitated about this. I know no one else can do this part, at least no one who is sitting at the table here, besides, she probably knows who dad is anyway. Mom would be too obvious too since she is with dad all the time.

"I think Baby and Lisa make a point, Jake."

Dad looks at mom, he let out a frustrated sigh. Pops is thinking and nodding at Lisa for her genius idea. He is glad to see something from mom is inside of her, though Lisa has the most from dad's side of the family.

"No, I don't want Lissy to do this."
"What if we go to Kellerman's too and keep an eye on the whole situation? Lissy can stay with us."

Nana asked the question while she is still eating with a smile. This plan is getting good, for real. I would love to have my grandparents to be at Kellerman's too, having the whole family there, this will be a great summer. I look at Ron and see him thinking.

"You know, Ron, this does mean you need to go to Kellerman's too. Let's say, you stay with Penny, and you take fake papers with you. Then all we have to do when your ex-wife contacts you, is to setup a meeting, hopefully by then Lissy has made her confess everything, and if Lisa makes sure she records the confession, we can get her arrested."

Dad is standing up now. I can see he is still against the idea of having Lisa to befriend such a person. We all look at him.

"I don't want Lisa to be around such a person, end of story."
"You've got a better idea, dad?"

Dad looks at me and then at Lisa, he looks around the room, we are waiting for his answer, if dad has a better idea than we can change thing, but personally I think this is the best idea, and we should follow this one. He let out a sigh, mom takes his hand and makes him to sit down again. I look at Lisa who is still smiling, Paula takes her hand and I see them smiling at each other. Amanda is looking at them as well.

"Lisa?"

She looks at me with a smile, I inhale deeply because I thought about the conversation a week ago or so.

"You know that this means you need to act like you're in my shadow for this summer, right?"
"It's fine, Baby, don't worry, I know this is for a good cause."
"Thanks, sis, for doing this."
"I wouldn't want to lose you, Baby, neither would I want you to lose the love of your life."

I stand up, and quickly went to hug her. She pats my back a little as she chuckles about my reaction. I let her go, and sit back down. Ron looks at his son.

"You need to work along, son."

Johnny looks at his father with a deep breath, I see a frown appearing.

"Why? I'm just going there to do my job."
"You know she'll probably goes to Kellerman's with her other son, right? She will confront you, if not he will."
"If he sticks one finger out to you, Baby or anyone else here at this table, I will kill him."
"Please be careful."
"I'll try, dad."

Ron nods and eats on. Johnny turns his head to look at me, I lean in to give him a kiss before I eat the rest of my duck. I swear, I think nana has done something with the duck this time. It is really amazing. Johnny is watching me and chuckles about my expression. I look back up at him.

"What?"
"You're funny, Baby."

Mom and nana are looking at me as well. I turn my head and see them looking. I start to frown about their expressions. What is going on?
