Opening show

I went inside the main room at the main building. Max has granted me all access on the resort. I bet it is because of dad. I hear Lisa and Amanda talking and turn to see them coming up the stairs. They are smiling, talking, and walking hand in hand.

"Hey, you two."

They look at me and smile.

"You're having a good time so far?"
"Yes, it's amazing here, Baby."
"Will you not be too hard on Amanda?"

I look at my sister and smile.

"I'll try, but she got to learn too. I'll ask Johnny if he can teach you already how to teach dances, Amanda, so you'll be getting a good base before your study starts."
"That would be great! Thanks, Baby."

Lisa giggles about it and I smile.

"You get lots of time to spend together."
"I'm going to stay with Lisa if you don't mind, I don't want to sleep alone."

I nod as I smile. I can imagine that. I know Penny's usual cabin is for Amanda, but I can imagine she wants to be with Lisa. I would do the same with Johnny. Lisa gives me a short hug. Amanda does too.

"Oh."

They giggle about my expression. Amanda looks inside. She sees people dancing and having fun.

"Have you told mom and dad?"
"No, not yet. I don't know when I should do that. I'm scared if I do that now, I'll ruin their holiday."
"Don't wait too long either, mom still wants to have the confirmation."
"I'll tell her, but dad needs to wait a little longer, things with him are going good right now."
"I get it, you're daddy's girl again."

I look at Lisa who is still smiling. I hug her again and went inside. They follow me and we watch the people. It is like stepping back in time, with a live band playing some oldies and people just enjoying the evening with dancing. I see Johnny dancing and people watching him. I guess that most people expected him to be there anyway. I look around and I see Penny sitting at a table. I smile as I go to her. She sees me coming and smiles at me.

"You're okay?"
"I am, Baby, it's just a little strange that I'm an actual guest now instead of an employee here. The food is really outstanding."

I chuckle as I sit down next to her. I see Amanda taking Lisa to dance. Penny sips on her beer and looks back at the dancing people.

"I hope you can enjoy the time here, Penny."

I look back at her as I say that. She looks at me and inhales deeply. I can see something is bothering her.

"I've been horrible to you."
"It's okay, really, I understand."
"I shouldn't have reacted like that to you."
"I would be jealous too if my best friend would be so happy."

Penny scoffs a little and shakes her head. I smile as I keep watching her. I take her hand, and she squeezes a little when she smiles back. I let her hand go and she moves a little to sit more comfortable. It must be horrible not to be able to move like you are used to.

"I didn't know what came over me. I shouldn't have been jealous. I mean, I've always wanted Johnny to be truly happy, and he's truly happy with you."
"You'll be truly happy one day too, you got to have some faith."
"I hope so. I wish to have what you have with Johnny, you're so happy."
"And you will."
"I saw Robbie today."
"Wait, what?"

I watch her face and I can see she is getting scared when saying that out loud. I start to frown. Robbie Gould is here? That is not good. Not good at all.

"He's working here as a waiter, luckily he's not my waiter, but I'm not safe anymore."
"You want us to stay with you?"
"No, I can't ask that of you or Johnny."
"But you're not safe alone."
"I know, that's why I asked Billy to stay with me, so he moved his stuff to my cabin."
"Please let Johnny know if something is happening, okay?"

She nods and I take her hand again. She smiles a little at me and looks at Johnny. I look at him as well with a smile.

"Thanks, Baby."
"What for?"

I look at her again. She squeezes my hand a little.

"For being in Johnny's life, for making him happy, and especially for letting him change into the man he is now. The way I know he always should have been."

I did not know how to reply to that, but I did not need to. She squeezes my hand again and let it go. We look at Johnny and I see a woman trying to put her arms around his neck. He stops her and I see them talking. He is not happy. I can see the tension in his body. Penny sees it too and sighs deeply.

"That's not good."
"Who's that?"
"That's Vivian Pressman."

I start to frown. Is that the woman that he told me about? The affair he had with.

"Is that the one he had an affair with?"
"Yes, and I still don't understand what he saw in her."
"He told me she made him feel like he mattered, nothing more."
"Yeah, many women made him feel that way."
"I'm going to save this situation."
"Be careful, Baby, she's known for being a real bitch."

I nod and stand up. I went to the dance floor. People are moving aside for me as I walk to Johnny. I look at Vivian, she is all fake, with Botox and all. Penny is right, I wonder what he saw in her, and how did he even found her sexy? Must be a man thing or so. Besides, she is nearly double his age. I guess she got obsessed with having him as her toyboy. It is called a toyboy, is it not? Well, if anyone can have him as toyboy than it is only me, and no one else. And yes, I am pretty selfish about it.

"Leave it, Vivian."
"Come on, loverboy, last year you said you wanted more."
"Last year is not this year, I'm not like that anymore."

Last year? Hmm, so, he has been having sex with her last year as well. Should I care? Not really, but do I care? Hell yes I do. Johnny sees me standing behind Vivian. I tap her shoulder a few times, and then fold my arms. She turns her head and snorts, lifting her nose up at me.

"Move along little girl, grown-ups are dancing here."
"I would like to dance with my boyfriend."

Vivian scoffs and a snort follows when she turns fully around to look at me. This woman is getting on my nerves for real. I put my hands on my hips as I look at her up and down. She folds her arms, I see her face, all mean and thinking she is better than me. I find her disgusting, and I guess she has seen that on my expression.

"Right, boyfriend, keep on dreaming, little girl."
"I might be little, but you're the one living in a dream. I would like for you to step away from my boyfriend."
"Like I said, we're the adults here, so move along."
"I know you had fun with him last year, the year before, or before that, and honestly I don't even care how many times he has fucked you over the years, but he's not your toyboy anymore, neither does he want you again, he has been clear to you just now. So, go away, and most of all, keep your hands off."

I see her astonishment grow, her eyes went big, but then her nostrils flare up. I see her getting angry, and she lifts her hand up to smack me around my face. Johnny sees it happening and grabs her wrist tightly. She wails a little as she looks at him and sees his angry expression. I have never seen him this angry before, sarcastic angry is nothing compared to the anger I see on his face right now.

"Lay one finger on my girlfriend, and you'll never be able to come to this mountain again, and I'll tell Moe about what you're doing here during the summer season."
"You're not serious?"

But I can see her fear. I guess she has never seen him this angry before either. I think people will only see him this angry when someone wants to hurt a loved one.

"I'm very serious, Vivian. My girl has more power than you'll ever going to have. So, I'm warning you, leave me alone. Don't even dare to come close to me again, you will regret it."

He let her wrist go. She winces as quickly walks away. I keep looking at him and see him inhaling deeply as he looked after her for a moment. Then he looks at me and I step closer to him. He looks down and let out a deep sigh, I can see him trying to calm down. I lay my hand on his heart, making him to look up again, I smile a little.

"I've never seen you this angry before."
"I'm normally not this angry fast, but no one ever lays a finger on you, Baby."
"My guardian angel."

I tease him a little, he rolls his eyes and chuckles a little. I let my hand glide up to his neck, my other hand is going through his hair. He takes a deep breath and moves himself against me, laying his arms around me. He gives me a little kiss. Vivian is watching us from aside the room now, rubbing her wrist.

"Hmm... My knight in shining armor."
"You're okay, Baby?"
"I am, just thinking of you, me, the new bed."

He chuckles and leans in to give me a kiss again. I feel so hot this instant. Hmm, I wonder if it comes because of this bad boy attitude he just showed, or because he made it so clear that he is only mine, or both maybe? But, what does it matter? He is mine. I look in his eyes as I bite my lip. He kisses me again, deeply this time.

Penny is watching us and smiles, she has witnessed what just happened and she can see how protective he is about me. Robbie went to her, and she looks up. She jumps and tries to move her chair away.

"Hello, Penny."
"Go away."
"It's good to see you again. I'm glad you came to the mountain this year."
"I said, go away!"

We are dancing slowly to the music now. I lay my head against his chest while I smile. He buries his face into my hair, I can feel him smiling, I love these embracing, they feel so good. When we turn a little, I see Penny and someone else. I see her being scared. Wait, is that Robbie?

"Johnny?"
"Hmm?"
"I think Robbie is near Penny."
"What?"

He let me go, and turns as I point. He sees Robbie standing over Penny now. I see she is trying to get away, but with her leg in a cast she is unable to do just that. Johnny growls deeply, and he moves quickly towards Robbie. Penny sees Johnny coming and shakes her head no. I quickly went to Penny's side as Johnny grabs Robbie by his collar and drags him outside. I feel Penny shaking and starting to cry, I try to sooth her while I hold her in my arms.

Johnny pushes Robbie away. Robbie looks at Johnny with a mean grin, then he cackles. Billy sees us sitting and quickly went to the door.

"There we go again."
"I'm warning you, college-boy, next time you get near her I'll call the police."
"What can they do, huh?"
"A lot more than you think, and if you touch her with one finger, you'll regret it."

Robbie starts to cackle about that. Johnny growls and punches him on his nose. Robbie groans as he grabs his nose which is bleeding. Johnny is panting from the rage he feels in his chest. Billy came outside and sees his cousin with Robbie.

"Get out of my sight before I punch you again!"

Robbie sees Billy coming. Johnny sees him getting scared. The two cousins are too much for him to handle, so he fled. They look after him.

"You shouldn't have punched him, cuz."
"Why not? It's what he deserves."
"I know, but now he can use that against you."

Johnny turns and goes back inside, Billy quickly following him. I see them coming as I am still holding Penny in my arms. Johnny kneels in front of us. I can see his worry now. Penny looks at him and let me go. She grabs him into a hug, and he hugs her tightly back. I watch them hug, I look at Billy for a moment.

"I'm going to call my lawyer tomorrow."

They look at me. I am not taking no for an answer anymore, this has to end. I look at Penny, I see her still shaking and crying. She is terrified.

"I'm going to tell him to re-open your case, and to make it a priority."
"It's time this ends, Pen."

Penny nods as she grabs Johnny a little tighter. He feels that she needs his support, he hugs her a little tighter.

"Good, let's hope the process will go fast, and that this nightmare ends very soon."

Penny looks at me again, I give her a little smile. Then she let Johnny go and grabs me into a tight hug. I still feel her shaking as I hug ger back while I look at Johnny. I can see he is very worried, but he nods, he is glad that I took this step because we all know Penny would not take that step anymore, she is way too terrified. Penny let me go, and I look at her face. She tries to give me a smile.

"Thanks, Baby, for everything."
"You'll be rid of him very soon, Penny, I promise you."
"I'm taking Pen back to her cabin."

We look at Billy and I nod at him. Penny let me go and Billy lifts her up on his arms. She protested at first, but he is not putting her down. Johnny stands straight.

"You're staying with her, cuz?"
"Yes, I've moved my stuff over, and I'm off duty now anyway."
"Thanks, cuz."

Billy smiles and nods. Johnny looks at Penny and gives her a kiss on her cheek. She smiles at him and looks at me. I take her hand, she squeezes a little and let my hand go again. We watch them going away. Johnny looks at me as I inhales deeply. I look at him and see his expression.

"Did you know that Robbie is here?"
"I just heard it from Penny, right before I saw that Vivian woman with you."
"He must have been hiding from us. I want him gone."
"He'll be gone soon, to prison, watch my word."
"What's soon, Baby?"
"Let's hope within a week, my lawyer owes me one, he'll make the case a priority."
"I sure hope so, we need to keep Penny safe at all times."
"I agree, someone needs to be around her all the time."
"I'll talk to Billy about this tomorrow."
"You're done with working?"
"Yes, let's go back to our cabin."

He nods and we walk away.
