As Scarlet, Volt and I began to head outside, ready to see if anyone needed help since all of the rescue missions and help requests were taken by other members. A couple of steps outside and some kind of small green Pokemon that clashed against my head, knocking us both down. Scarlet was gasping at the sight as I slowly arose, shaking my head to clear the blurry vision. To Scarlet, that Pokemon seemed important because she bowed down and gestured for me to do the same.
"I am graced by your presence, Princess Celebi" both Scarlet and Volt had said, bowing down
"Wait? Princess? What's a princess?"
"Hey! Show some respect, I'm going to be your queen soon!" She shouted at me
"S-sorry about Aurora, he doesn't mean anything by it, He washed up on the beach a couple of weeks ago. but he has amnesia so he doesn't quite understand much" She covered my mouth with her paw so I just nodded.
"And it was quite rude for you to run into me!"
"Wait, but you ran int-" My mouth was covered again by Scarlet
"And we're terribly sorry for what we've done, how may we make it up for you!" She seemed eager to help, But it seemed like she was more excited than usual, I guess if she really is as important as she says, then I guess it's a big deal to meet her. The Pokemon scarlet called 'Celebi' continued to look at me like she was thinking
"You'll do fine."
"What are you talking about?"
"I need a rescue team, And you look like you'll be the cheapest one"
"Thank you so much, We'll do our best!" Even Volt wanted to please her. Not that I had any idea who she was
"So...Can anyone explain who you are?"
"I'm a Princess!"
"I...Still don't know what that is" Volt came close to my ear, whispering inside it.
"She's the daughter of the rulers over this land"
"W-wait she is!? I had no idea! I'm so sorry!"
"Oh never mind that, the Prince, Victini, went into a dungeon and hasn't come back yet! I'm so worried!"
"We'll do our best! But..."
"But?"
"what's a prince?"
"My. My you are dense, He's my boyfriend"
" I have amnesia, I don't know half of the things here, I don't even think I came from here!" I admitted
"So the rumors are true, a Strange Vulpix with amnesia"
"Strange? I know I'm not from here but I don't think I'm strange"
"Well, your usual region is far from here, so it's pretty odd that you ended up here of all places" Volt admitted
"Well, It's probably just a coincidence, either way, Princess Celebi, We'll do our best!" Scarlet said with a bold look on her face. I'm not even sure how she has such confidence.
After getting the mission the official endorsement, it was time for us to head into a dungeon, in search of Victini "So...What does Victini look like?"
"If this amnesia is going to be a problem, then I'll find work elsewhere"
"No, no! It's fine, Really! We'll handle it!" Scarlet said eager to help the princess, even if that meant I would have to step back on the rescue. Now that Scarlet and Volt had gone with the princess, I was mostly alone for the day, I didn't really have any friends to talk to, so I guess I just had the day to myself, The entire guild was empty, well all except Wigglytuff and a few others.
"Hey, Aren't you Aurora!?" I heard someone ask me from behind.
"Well, just until I remember my real name. Why do you ask?"
I turned around before seeing a blue and white Pokémon that seemed to have a blue coloring on its lower body and white bubbles close to the top of the blue and its stomach. They were slightly taller than I was, but their ears made them seem a lot taller. They held a Microphone up to my face. Next to them was a tall brown Pokémon that kneeled down to my level. with lightly tanned puffs of fur on their hands and large ears bent over and tied into a ponytail
"Hi, I'm Aqua and this is Moon, We're here for an interview!"
"Oh...uh, it's nice to meet you...But I don't know that much about myself, I'm not so sure I should be in an interview"
"Well, We want to know about the current you, You're recently made a name for yourself lately"
"Oh, I hadn't realized"
"So, I don't suppose you'd mind if we asked a few questions"
"Oh, I don't mind"
"Great! Let's head somewhere private, can't have anyone else take our story!"
I nodded, following them down towards a hidden part of the beach, It seemed almost untouched by anyone in hundreds of years. It was the entrance to some ruins.
"This looks like a good spot, Now, your first question" Aqua told me holding the microphone to her mouth speaking before holding it up to me while Moon was recording.
"Right"
"How long ago did you first arrive here?"
"I think it was around four to five weeks ago"
"Alright. And what made you want to be a Rescue Team member?"
"I just thought it would help me try to restore my memories"
"I see, What do you think of this place?"
"Well, Almost everyone's been really nice except for the case where people are becoming violent"
"That was my next question, Why do you think certain Pokémon are suddenly becoming violent?"
"I...Don't really know, I've only personally encountered a violent bunch of kids once" I heard a soft, compelling voice from around me as I glanced around, looking in every direction before facing the ruins.
"Is something wrong?"
"What is this place?"
"Oh, these are the old ruins, It's been stripped clean, why do you ask?"
"I get this weird feeling, Like something's calling to me"
"Calling to you? What do you mean?"
"I'm not sure, I hear a raspy voice, but I can't understand what it's saying or where it's from"
"Let's check it out! Moon, Keep recording just in case"
"Right!"
We continued to follow a hollow pathway, just like in that dream I keep having, though the space is wildly different with run down pillars covered in moss and vines. Surprisingly, not a Pokemon was to be found, we were the only ones there "Is this sacred ground? There isn't anyone here"
"Oh no, it's not like that, you see ever since the artifacts were taken to a museum, people sort of stopped caring about this place, some reporters use it for privacy so they can write their stories"
"Oh, I get it"
"Do you still hear that voice?"
"Yeah, It's becoming louder, It's hard to understand what they're saying"
"So they aren't speaking Pokémon?"
"I don't think so, no" It didn't take long for us to enter a vast room as lanterns had flared up, one by one before the fires had left their domain and circling around the roof of the room. It began to lower down around me, until my vision grew fuzzy, I began to stumble in the small circle I laid dormant in. By instinct I tried to fire an ice attack to try and cancel it out before I had just lost consciousness.
"Aurora! Aurora, wake up!" a powerful slap went across my face, waking me up instantly from the impact
"Ow, is something wrong?"
"Oh, thank Arceus you're alright! A bunch of fires came from lanterns, they surrounded you and then you passed out. Suddenly you began to glow and a pendent went around your neck"
"A pendent?" I gave a confused look as Moon showed me the footage, and sure enough everything they said happened, But for some reason I felt stronger, Like I was more useful.
"Are you feeling alright? It looked like you tried resisting" Aqua asked, helping me up. My vision was still blurry and my legs felt unstable as I tended to stumble around.
"O-oh, I feel fine, just a little dizzy is all" I could remember something from when I passed out. I saw Scarlet, Volt and Celebi being attacked by a large, blue dragon with red crescent wings "But I-I should really get going, sorry to have to leave so soon!" I called out, shaking my head to clear my sight and began to head towards the guild.
"Oh hello there Aurora, what's got you in a hurry?"
"W-wigglytuff, w-where did Scarlet and the others go?"
"Oh them, they went to the Royal Forest, here" They gave me a map with a red circle around a picture of the woods
"Thank you!" I called out before running to follow the way there
I was deep in the forest, running for half an hour but I still felt full of energy when I heard a female Shout of pain after a male one. Scarlet and Volt. I kept going after the shouting before seeing Celebi hiding behind a tree while Scarlet and Volt were barely standing as the Pokemon from my dream had began charging a powerful attack. Without a second thought I had jumped in front of them, firing my own attack which had canceled out the attack. Apparently it was a hyper beam. And yet my Powder snow seemed a lot more powerful. As I tried firing it again, A powerful beam came from my mouth, freezing one of its wing solid, it was then that a small tanned Pokémon fell from its grip, flying away to get away from its grasp
"A-aurora!? What are you doing here!? And how did you get so strong!?"
"T-this power, not even in your evolved form should this be possible, J-just what are you!" The Pokémon asked, struggling to stand. I gave no answer before turning to Scarlet and Volt
"Are you guys okay?"
"Yeah, I'm okay, how did you know where to find us? Did you follow us?"
It would be hard to explain, so I just nodded, I'd probably tell them later when there were fewer Pokémon around. But, I felt rather drained, feeling dizzy before collapsing.
"Oh, I think he's waking up! I'll go fetch his medicine" I heard a voice say before starting to see a white room with medical supplies as well as a pink Pokémon wearing a white doctor's coat I've seen Chansey wear when she treated me.
"Where am I?"
"Oh, Aurora, I'm Melody, I'm glad to see you've recovered" She spoke to me as I began to rise up, my head was throbbing and I couldn't seem to see straight.
"Are you feeling alright? You were beyond Exhausted when Princess Celebi brought you to the castle for healing. I'm quite surprised, she almost never does something like this for others"
"Oh...I don't really remember collapsing, I remember fighting a Blue and Red Pokémon, but that's about it, I guess I just got caught up in the moment"
"So, it was adrenaline, I understand, why don't you keep resting, your friends are sleeping in the guest rooms"
"Thank you, I'm glad you helped me"
"Oh, it's my pleasure, I hope that you can make a full recovery." She smiled, leaving the room before letting me go back to sleep.
"Hey, Aurora, Wake up!" Scarlet said loudly, Volt, however, seemed to want to wake me up later
"Scarlet, He needs more rest, Let's thank the King and Queen for letting us stay"
"I'd like to thank them as well," I said, Slowly getting up to find my scarf on the counter giving them both a glimpse of the pendant around my neck
"Oh, Sorry we woke you up, but where did you get that pendant, I've never seen you wear it" Volt admitted. I glanced around before speaking.
"We should go see the king to thank him" I quickly changed the subject.
"Oh, right! I almost forgot!" I know I said I was going to tell them, but I wasn't sure I should say it, I'm not even sure what it is"
"Aurora, Scarlet, Volt. I wish to thank you for protecting our daughter and future son in law. You've shown a great deal of honor for our kingdom, is there anything we can do to thank you?" The King asked, I didn't want to say anything wrong, so I just shook my head.
"Are you sure? You've saved Victini and stopped one of the many criminals we've held as a high risk. That in itself is highly impressive, but you also appear to be children, correct?"
"Honey!" The queen had spoke out "I'm sorry if that offended you, My husband tends to speak his mind more often than not"
"Don't worry about it! We are children, so there's no offense here!"
"Well, that's good," I could see the king glance down to me from time to time. "This is a bit sudden, but may we talk to Aurora, alone"
"Of course, your majesty" They left the large room, The queen had went with them to lead them to the dining room leaving me to be spoken to the King who had been a large beast with a shield like armor over its face.
"Aurora, you were the one who defeated Salamance, correct?"
"Is Salamance the red and blue Pokémon?" I asked
"Have you never heard of Salamance? They were one of the most feared criminals in the nation"
"No sorry, I woke up on a beach by the rescue guild with Amnesia, I don't know that much about Pokémon"
"I see. I've heard a lot about you"
"You have?"
"Indeed, You have been known as quite the hero in Treasure town, And from what Aqua and Moon have recorded, you don't appear to be the usual Alolan Vulpix"
"Wait Aqua and Moon? Does that mean?"
"Yes, they were sent by me. Aurora, what I'm about to tell you cannot leave your lips"
"What is it?"
"Aurora, you're not a Pokémon, You are a Human"
"But, I thought Humans didn't exist?"
"They do not exist...In this world at least, you come from another world of humans"
"So those dreams...They were actually memories"
"That's correct, You have come to this world for a great reason, I sense an evil is to be awakened soon, your light may be the only way to stop it"
"My light?"
"Yes, you hold a strong heart, I've seen this firsthand, your kindness has reached even to those who've deserted themselves from it, I believed that you were the human I was searching for, but until I could be certain, I sent Aqua and Moon to take you to the ruins and see whether or not it reacted to your heart"
"So the pendant?"
"Yes, it will only affect your powers, keep it safe, and don't let anyone know that you're human. Not even your closest friends, if someone has even the littlest darkness, they can be controlled. This evil is searching for the human to stop them before they're able to fulfill their destiny. It is of the upmost importance that you keep your secret safe"
"Right, I won't let you down"
"I trust that you won't, Wigglytuff knows your secret, she will keep you safe"
"I understand"
"Good, you are exceptional, I wish you good luck, Come to me if you are in need"
"I will"
"Good luck, you should go meet your friends downstairs, if they ask, I have asked for you to be an aide to the throne, I hope to be able to depend on you"
