"A letter? Who's it from?" Scarlet asked

"If it's his mail, we probably shouldn't be nosy about it," Volt said after

"Thank you," I said seeing it was from the king, this meant that it was probably more information about me being human. As of now, I couldn't afford to alert anyone about my past, even if that meant lying to my friends.

"Alright, We're going to go ahead over to the guild, catch up with us, Kay!"

"Alright, I'll meet you there" I called out with a wave before opening the letter once they left.

"Aurora, I understand you're still but a child, but I believe you are best protected if you become knowledgeable of your fate and destiny. Wigglytuff will send you on missions but you are to return to me for guidance, Keep this secret. King Zamazenta"

"So I guess I'll be heading to the kingdom for a while then" I thought to myself before rushing to catch up with Scarlet and Volt. I'll probably be gone for a while, so I might as well spend what time I do have with them.

"Oh, hey Aurora, Ready for another day of work?" She asked with an energetic smile.

"O-oh, yeah!" I knew that I'd be going to the king a lot more, so that meant I had less time with my friends.

"Is something wrong? You seem a little upset...Oh, wait! Did you get another letter from people trying to fake being your parents!?" Scarlet asked

"N-no, it's not like that! Just a little tired is all" I think she could tell I was lying, but she decided not to continue.

"Good morning you three! I have your missions ready for the day, Scarlet and Volt, we're going to be having a heavy storm in a few days, I want you to help out at stands and make sure everyone has food, water, and shelter from the storm. Aurora you got a mission specifically asking for you, It's from Princess Celebi over by Royal woods"

"Right, I understand"

"You're going to see Celebi? I wonder why"

"Maybe It's just to help for the storm too"

"Possibly, there aren't any instructions other than Aurora is needed"

"Oh...I guess we'll be apart for the day, Although you'll probably be staying overnight too"

I wasn't aware of that, but I still nodded, knowing of the problems if I wasn't prepared. I may still be a child, but I'm the only one who can do this! Or at least I hope I'm not, even with increased strength I'm not ready to fight anyone yet, I only defeated Salamance because of adrenaline, without that feeling I would have just froze up and panicked.

"I'll see you guys later, good luck" I gave a sincere smile, if I couldn't protect them from up close, the least I could do was protect them from the future.

"Aurora, are you ready to go?" I heard a female voice come from behind me, It was Celebi's as she reached for my paw to lead me back to the main castle of the kingdom.

"Y-yeah"

"Good Luck Aurora! We'll see you later!" Scarlet called out to me, she seemed happy but there were slight bits of sadness in her voice, I guess she was sad to see me go, I didn't want to go either, but I had no choice.

"Celebi, thank you for bringing Aurora to me, It's time you both learned the full truth."

"Both?" I asked, thinking only I was to know.

"Yes, Celebi, you already know that Aurora is Human, Allow me to tell the story."

"You mean...I'm involved too?" Celebi asked

"That's correct, our family has been connected with the human world for quite some time. Long ago, the first human appeared from a meteor, they had spoken of a great evil escaping from their world. That evil has bridged across our worlds, only a human with a true heart could cross over when the bridge opened every two hundred human years."

"So every two hundred years, the human, or Aurora, and the evil cross over. And what is this evil anyways?"

"In the human world, raw negative emotions have gathered from the hearts of humans, What your kind may have called the seven deadly sins have combined, ultimately altering the heart of a Pokemon, they're overcome with negativity and become violent beyond reasoning...This is the story of Humans. Two thousand years ago, there was an unconscious Sligoo found crushed under a Metroid. There was a Celebi, your Mother's great ancestor who had found the human after a meteor shower had destroyed much of the land. When the they had came to, he was in a hospital, being treated by Celebi himself. He had a story to tell, and being the kind prince that Celebi was, he listened. That Sligoo had been a Human, and in fact the first human to arrive in our world. He wasn't the only human who came, another Pokémon, came with a heart of evil. A Dragonair. The Meteor shower had come from fighting, Sligoo tried fighting to save that world while Dragonair only cared to destroy it. The battle lasted days, but Dragonair won with a final Draco Meteor. Celebi believed him, and recited an old legend 'When the hearts of light and darkness are to be found, a battle will be placed. Only when the light's true power is revealed that peace will return' After many weeks, That Sligoo had evolved into Goodra as Dragonair evolved to Dragonite. The battle had erupted into a war, pitting the two sides against each other. Many lives were lost, but light prevailed as the dark heart's body had taken too much damage and was killed. The heart's power was too great and its pure emotion kept it alive, as it retreated to the human world, vowing to come back to defeat the light."

"If that many people died, that means that the Darkness won the war in exchange for its body."

"That's correct, After the war, Celebi and Goodra knew what had been lost. They went to see the great spirits over the land, Mesprit, Uxie, and Azelf to make sure when that evil returned, a human would come too. They agreed and made sure to keep that war locked away in history, Returning the lives lost in exchange for the ones from the war. Only the royal family would have knowledge of these terms. Do you accept your fate, Aurora?"

"I'll do my best!"

"thank you, Celebi as a descendent of the first human I expect you to support too"

"D-descendant!? You mean, I'm part human!?"

"It's possible, I don't know if human blood is different from Pokémon. Either way all I can say is your amnesia has allowed the darkness to spread, and I'm surprised the guardians would choose a child of all humans. But that's not important right now, our largest concern is making sure you will be ready to fight before they find you"

"Right" I was still scared, but I knew I couldn't back down, the future of this world depended on me being human. "But, my memory is gone, how will I be able to help?"

"The three spirits of light, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. You just need to show them you're human and they'll support you and your journey. Celebi can I trust you to help?"

"Of course, it's the least I can do to save our world" Celebi seemed different, she wasn't like before where she cared more about money than her boyfriend. I wonder if her father's presence caused a change in mood.

"It's fairly late, You both have a great deal of work for the next few days, I want you to meet with Mesprit before the storm hits in about a week, then return to me"

"Mesprit's domain is harsh territory! It'll take days on foot, and Aurora's just a child!"

"I'm well aware of your circumstances, You should have enough time to go there and return back before the storm gets heavy"

Celebi seemed to continue to argue with her father. I had understood perfectly, it wasn't just to meet Mesprit, it was to train me "I understand"

"You do?" Celebi asked

"Good. I was hoping at least one of you would understand. Now wash up, I'm sure you're hungry after your trip, After dinner head to bed, you have a tough journey ahead"
