AN: hi, normal disclaimers applied except for almost every character in this story. Hey, I guess that normal disclaimers don't apply. Let's just say that I don't own x-men because my dad won't buy them for me (EVIL). Enjoy the story. I still need help with Marauders too.

'I can't believe it. How could I get so angry? The whole town is going to know what went on at the school in less than a day. I'm just lucky that I caught myself before I caused any damage to the school. Besides all of the bullying, that was where I spent some of the best years of my life.'

I was sitting on the swing in my backyard looking at the night sky. I was in school being tormented when my powers and my anger just took over my mind. The bullies saw my hands glowing and ran. I caught myself before I blew a gasket, or blew up another toilet, but I knew that even though no one was hurt I would be labeled a menace to society.

I got up off of the swing and went into the house. I went upstairs to my bedroom and pulled out my gym bag. I emptied all of my hockey gear and filled it with cloths, food, a map, and a flashlight. I put my compass around my neck; I put on the aviation goggles that my dad got me for Hanukkah, and I went downstairs to talk with my mom.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE LEAVING?!!!"

"Mom, listen to me. These powers aren't going to make our lives easier. By tomorrow I will be named a menace to society. I have tot go so that you won't have to handle the shame of having a mutant for a son."

"Josh, don't be crazy."

"MOM!!! Cut the crap already. You're a member of the anti-mutant association. I can hear the meetings that you and the other neighborhood adults have. And because of this I have to leave. It isn't for me. I can handle the prejudice. I've been taking in teasing, hitting, ridicule, and mockery for 10 years and god knows that I can do so for the rest of my life but I know that you can't. At least this way, you won't have to live as an outcast in the eyes of Nebraska. This is all for you. You're my mom and I love you. I'm willing to make any sacrifice I need to make to allow you to live a normal life."

"What will I tell your friends? What will I tell your father? What will I tell the neighborhood?"

"Just tell them this 'good bye Omaha. Don't blame my mother for my mutation. Maybe, when you come to your senses I'll return but until then, good bye Omaha, Nebraska.' And remember this mom, even though we may part ways, you are still my mother, I am still your son, and I will always love you."

"No, Josh, don't leave!!!"

I headed towards the door. "Good bye mom" I silently whispered as I walked into the backyard. I slung my bag over shoulder, slid my goggles down over my eyes, pointed both fists at the ground, and blasted. As I had practiced before, the force from my energy blasts propelled me in the air.

As I looked down at my last view of my home for a long time, I could see my mom in the doorway, the light from my blasts reflected on her tears. 'Good bye mom' I thought to myself as I went at full speed to what I hoped to be a new beginning.

AN: hi, I hope you liked the first part of my story. I am not done with Marauders yet but I have no new characters that I can write about. Please read and write. I need characters and would also appreciate plot lines.
