Harry nodded for the red headed boy to come sit across from him, and pulled out his copy of magical herbs and fungi, might as well get a head start in class right? Sadly his silence was disturbed by a pair of red headed twins who introduced themselves as Fred and George. Who teased 'Ickle Ronnikins' before leaving

"Bye Ronniekins!" They had said in unision before shuttung the door.

Harry stared after them then continued reading his book

"I'm Ron, Ron Weasley" The boy who was now sitting across from him blurted outl

Harry stared at him "Harry Potter" he looked back at his book after he saw the Weasley boy gaping at him, "You're staring at me" He immedietly stopped at blushed

"Sorry.. It's just well, you're kind of famous".

"I know"

Ron blushed even more and remained quiet. Soon a lady with a large trolley of snacks knocked on their compartment door.

"Anything off the trolley dears?"

Ron mumbled something about a sandwich. But Harry lept out of his seat and walked over to the trolley, he looked back at Ron and figured the boy probably didn't have much money so he bought more sweets then he should have and put them on the table.

"Hungry are you?" Ron asked

"Starving" Harry replied

Ron opened his sandwich "Mum always forget I don't like corn beef, not that she has much time with the five of us!" He quickly added the last part. Harry smiled abit at that, atleast Ron seemed to be loyal to his family.

"I'll trade you that" He pointed at the sandwich "for one of these" Harry held up a pumpkin pastry

Ron blushed "Oh you wouldn't want that, it's all dry"

"Oh, just go on and have a pastry"

Eventually Ron took the pastry, and the two bonded over sweets, during that Harry learned that ron had 6 older brothers and 1 little sister, 2 had already graduated and all of them in Gryffindor, he was expected to go there as well.

"Don't let your family control your life Ronald, even if they mean well" Harry had said at that part. He also learned that Ron had a bit of a grudge against Slytherins.

"The house you're in doesn't define you, after all, Merlin himself was in Slytherin." He remembered Professor Mcgonagall saying that at Diagon Alley. Ron had stayed quiet after that, but he seemed to be thinking about it.

Harry also found out Ron has a hand me down rat from his brother Percy, who looked oddly fimiliar to Harry

"I have 7 brothers, Bill is a curse breaker in Egypt, Charlie works with Dragons in Romania, Percy is prefect and top of his class, Fred and George don't get good grades much but everyone thinks their funny, Ginny is younger but everyone adores her, it doesn't matter if I do well because they did it first" Ron had said gloomily when Harry asked about what his family was like.

"That's not true, I'm sure they care about you very much Ronald" Harry had tried to sound comforting, it seemed to work because Ron had smiled abit.

Their ride was interrupted by a girl with bushy brown hair and large buck tooth demanding if they had seen a toad, Harry told her no and she left.

Their fun time was disturbed by a blonde boy who strutted into their compartment, with 2 boys much larger than him.

"Is it true? The other kids on the train says Harry Potter is on the train, it's you then isn't it?" Harry recognised the boy from Madam Malkins

Harry listened as the boy droned on and on about how 'mudbloods' shouldn't be let in, he refrained himself from talking to much. He didn't want an enemy before school even started, he had to say, he was VERY relived when Professor Mcgonagall came to get him

Harry snapped out of the flashback as he stared coldly at the boy

The boy stuck his hand out to Harry

"I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy" Harry heard Ron cough. 'Draco' spun around and glared at Ron,

"Think you're being funny do you? I don't need to ask who you are, my father told me Weasleys have red hair, frecles, hand me down robes and to many children than they can afford" Ron turned red at the last comment and glared venomously at Malfoy

"You'll soon learn Potter, that some wizarding familys are better than others, if you hang around riff-raffs like the Weasleys they'll start to rub off you" He said all this with a haughty tone

Ron opened his mouth to say something but Harry cut him off.

"I suggest you should leave Malfoy, I really don't think hanging out with someone who's last name means bad faith in french"

It was Malfoy's turn to turn red as he glared at Harry and spluttered. Ron seem to brighten up a bit.

"Besides, you insult my intelligence by thinking I can't work out who's good who's bad, and I think a person who insults someone because of their family fits in the bad book for me" He said coldly, the 2 other boys started cracking their knuckles and moved towards Harry

"I wouldn't do that if I were you" Harry gave them a glare that scared all three of the other boys and they quickly backed off

Finally they had arrived at the station

"Fir's ears! (AN I'm sorry! I don't remember much of the real dialouge, I'm at my Grans place so I can't find the book!) Over here!"

Harry followed the big man that Prof. Mcgonagall had introduced as Hagrid, He looked.. Friendly.

When Harry got into the boat he saw he was with Ron, the bushy haired girl and Neville who had came in earlier looking for his toad

this should be interesting..
