"A red flare... the signal of an enemy attack..." Makarov mumbled as he stared at th sky. "I'd never thought it would happen here, or under my watch." He turned and looked at the grave. "Mavis, did you ever find yourself in this position? How would you have handled this. I bet you're raging in your grave. I've let enemies tread on our sacred ground."
He clenched his fist and his knuckles turned red. "I take full responsibility, and I will pay the price. But I ask only this; keep them safe."
With Natsu and Happy
"That doesn't sound good." Natsu said as the two listened to the blast.
"Do you think the enemy's already here?" Happy asked.
"Only one way to find out." The pinkette replied before they raced to the source.
With Wendy and Co.
"H-how could you do that?" Wendy asked in horror.
"Those ships were full of innocent people!" Carla shouted.
"How can one man have so much power?" Mest asked. "It's impossible."
Azuma glared at them before Pantherlily charged and threw a punch. The brown-skinned wizard merely held out his hand in response. "Brevi." A golden stream of energy shot out of his hand and blasted the cat. Two kunai were thrown through the thick smoke and he ducked them, only to then eat an uppercut.
As he fell back, small orbs appeared around Pantherlily and detonated, blasting them all back. "Slate, please tell me you have a sword." Pantherlily asked his fellow Exceed.
"None for that size." The brown cat replied, holding two knives for himself.
"Don't worry, you're not alone." Wendy said as she stood up. "Oh, swift winds that speed through the heavens! Vernier!" A seal appeared beneath the two fighter Exceeds and they started glowing. "I call upon the might to cleave the heavens! Arms!" Another seal appeared and their strength increased.
"So this is the power of support magic..." Pantherlily mumbled as the two grew their wings before charging Azuma, who summoned even more glowing bombs. 'Dodging these explosion spells is child's play.' The two smirked at each other before they started flying in opposite directions.
"Mest, I have a plan to take this guy down, but I need your help to do it." Wendy told the council spy as Pantherlily missed a kick.
"Weren't you listening before?" He asked. "I'm not your friend, I work for the council."
"Do you really think that matters to me?" She asked back. "All I care about is protecting Fairy Tail! Please help me do that!"
"I only came here to destroy your guild and further my career." He replied.
"And you'll fail! No one in existence can take us down!" Wendy shouted back.
Slate and Lily ducked before explosions went off above them. "Boys! Go up!" Carla shouted and the two cats followed orders.
"No matter where you run, my explosions will always hit their mark." Azuma declared as he held out his hand. Behind him, Mest and Wendy appeared.
'I've got shot a this.' Wendy thought as she puffed out her cheeks.
'Taking this guy out takes priority for now.' Mest thought.
'Got ya!' Pantherlily smirked.
'Sky Dragon Roar!' Wendy shouted in her head.
"You pathetic fools." Azuma declared as he held both his arms out to the side. "Gold Tower Burst!" A massive explosion surrounded him and hit all five around him.
With Natsu and Happy
"What is that?" Natsu asked, looking up.
"It's a pillar of fire." Happy said. "No one in Fairy Tail uses magic like that."
"Guess we know where he is then." The pinkette said back.
With Wendy and Co
Azuma glared through the smoke as he looked down at his opponents, all laying on the ground. Pantherlily groaned in pain before his transformation timed out. 'I never imagined the Kin of Purgatory would possess such power...' Mest thought in fear.
"This guild, are cats and children it's only defense?" Azuma asked in disinterest.
'There's 8 more like this guy?' The spy asked himself. 'We're all doomed. Fairy tail doesn't stand a chance.'
Grimoire Heart Airship
Ultear walked forward and zipped up her battle suit. "Nice outfit. Get's me ready to cut loose." Zancrow smirked.
"Zancrow, take this baaattle seriously." Caprico scolded the blonde.
"Tonight, the fairy's dine in the city of woe." Rustyrose said.
"You do mean we're killing them, right?" Chi asked, sweatdropping at the euphemism.
"Poetry... and such." Kain mumbled.
Meredy turned and went wide eyed. "Ur, look!"
The time wizard glared at the young girl. "Never refer to me by that name."
"Please forgive me..." Meredy mumbled.
"Don't be so nervous." Zancrow said walking over. "Alright, what's up?"
"It's in view." She said, making everyone else look forward. "The isle of fairies."
Ultear gasped as a massive figure grew into view. "What the hell is that?" Zancrow asked as Hades looked in disbelief.
"A giant?" Ultear asked as the figure stopped growing.
"That's not fair." Zancrow mumbled.
Hades smirked as he looked out the window. "Makarov..."
"Be gone..." Makarov bellowed out.
48 Years Ago
Fairy Tail Guildhall
"Wait... either I'm senile or you just said I'm Fairy Tail's next master!" A younger Makarov said in shock. "Find someone else to do it. I can't."
"You can and you will, boy." The master said.
"Who you calling boy!?" Makarov shouted annoyed. "I'm forty years old."
"You have the ability to love and trust your fellow man." The master said. "I'm sure you'll lead Fairy Tail to greatness. Just as Mavis passed this mantle onto me, I now pass it on to you. Handle it with care."
Present
"Turn back or suffer Fairy Tails wrath." Makarov bellowed out. Hades smirked through the glass as Makarov pulled his fist back and slammed it onto the ship. The grunts shouted out the damage in a panic as the ship fell apart around them.
"Evasive maneuvers!" Hades shouted as the ship dodged another punch. "Engage the Jupiter Cannon and fire it!" The cannon barrel expanded and fired a blast of magic at the giant. In response, Makarov punted the ship, destroying it even more. "Now, Ultear!"
"Yes sir." She replied. "Arc of Time - Restore!" Her pupil changed shape and the ship began pulling itself back together.
"Caprico, get all of our forces onto the island." Hades ordered the goat man.
"What about you, sir?" The furry asked.
"I'll deal with Makarov myself." The master smirked back.
"As you wish." Caprico clapped his arms and all of the forces dissipated. Minutes later Caprico took off from the ship in a jet pack, along side a swarm of bats, past Makarov.
"Run all you like, there is no escape." Makarov said as he turned back to the ship. Holding up his hands, he summoned a ball of light. "I'm going to give to three to get out of my sight."
"The ultimate magic that vanquishes everyone the caster deems an enemy." Hades mumbled as he stood up from the throne.
"One." Makarov counted.
"Let's see your Fairy Law." The bearded man dared.
"Two." Makarov continued.
With Natsu and Happy
"What happened here!?" Natsu asked as he raced over to Wendy. "Wendy! Talk to me, say something!"
"Lily, Slate, Carla!" Happy cried out as he saw the other Exceeds. "They must have took the full force of that blast. Hang in there!"
"Damn it! Someone's gonna pay for this!" Natsu cursed as he glanced over to Mest. "Was it you!? Answer me!?" He shouted, shaking the council spy by the collar.
'The memory manipulation spell must have worn off.' Mest thought.
"Don't..." Wendy groaned out. "Mest is a member of the council."
Natsu froze in fear before setting Mest down. "Nice coat... let me fix it." He said before fixing the jacket. "Wait... the magic council is our enemy!?"
"You're wrong..." Carla let out. "The enemy is Grimoire Heart, a dark guild."
"From the Baram Alliance!?" Natsu asked.
"They're on the island?" Happy asked. "How are we supposed fight there whole guild!?"
Slate pushed himself up and looked to the sky. "The hell is that?" He asked, making everyone look up to see what he was talking about.
Orange orbs began falling out of Caprico's flight pack on to the island. One orb fell in front of Lucy before it burst open and the man inside tried to slice her. "It's raining masked men!?" Loke asked confused.
"They don't look very friendly." The blonde pointed out.
"Crap! They're here already." Cana mumbled.
"That's insane." Gray said, looking up. "All those orbs are enemy soldiers!"
Soon the whole island was infested with the dark wizards and they surrounded whatever Fairy Tail wizards they could find. Azuma looked up and saw Caprico. "So, the rowdy ones have arrived."
Zancrow laughed like a mad Mann as he dived bombed the island. "The underworld will run red with fairy blood." Rustyrose said as he pushed up his glasses.
Meredy landed on the ground as her cape fluttered in the air. "Operation underway." She said, completely unaware that Kain crashed into the rock.
The swarm of bats flew over the ground before Chi and Lucian appeared under them. "So not a fan of that spell." Lucian said as he stretched his muscles.
"Let's get going." Chi said before walking forward.
A growl came from seemingly nowhere before Lucian patted his chest, now covered by a white shirt. "Easy there, fella." He chuckled before following his partner.
Ultear walked through he woods, a blush on her face. "At last I am near lord Zeref."
Under a large tree, Zeref stared up at the sky. "So much conflict... and all because of me."
With Makarov
"Three! Times up!" Makarov shouted before slamming his hands together. "Fairy Law!"
"Don't be hasty!" Hades shouted from the top of the ship, a ball of dark magic in his hands. "Grimoire Law!" Makarov stared in shock. "Lesser men would back down, and unless one of us does, this world will forever be scarred."
Makarov split his hands apart as his eyes stared at the dark master. "No... it can't be..."
"You're looking well, boy." Hades smirked.
"It is you..." Makarov mumbled in fear and shock. "Master Precht... Why, is this some sick joke?" Hades held up his hand and magic chains shot forward, latching onto Makarov. He then waved his arms and the chains pulled Makarov in whatever way Hades wanted him before he flew into the air, reverting to his normal size.
Hades jumped off his ship as Makarov flipped back, donning himself in his white cloak. "I see you traded your ideals for a dark robe."
"After all these years, you can still only see in black and white." Hades replied. "I'd have hoped that becoming guildmaster would have broadened that view of yours."
"Forgive me if I don't give a damn about what you have to say." Makarov replied. "My vision my be narrow, but I can see my enemies clearly."
Hades chuckled as Makarov stood up. "At least you learned to talk the talk, boy."
"I always hated that name." Makarov said, clenching his fist. "Every time you called me that, I wanted to deck you. But I have no desire to fight you now. Leave before we do something drastic."
"Though it pains me, my path is all too clear." The second master replied. "It would seem that fate picked me to be the instrument of Fairy Tail's destruction."
"You'll have to go through me first!" Makarov shouted, flaring his magic.
"If you wish to throw your life away, so be it." Hades replied, doing the same. The magic power show down stopped and the two started waving their hands casting spells.
"Pierce the darkness, oh ray of light!" Makarov shouted as bolts of light shot towards Hades.
Hades held up his hand and a dome absorbed the spell. "Swallow the light, oh eternal darkness!" A beam of dark magic fired at Makarov.
"In that case!" Makarov waved his hands, only to find that Hades had done the same quicker. "He cast the Amaterasu formula 28 as if it was nothing."
"See what your up against now?" Hades mockingly asked as he cast the spell, sending a beam of darkness up to the sky. A ball of light burst through it, showing Makarov mostly unharmed. Hades resummoned his chains and yanked Makarov along the trees. "I live and breath the dark arts."
Makarov forced himself up to his knees only to find himself surrounded by a massive formula. "What is this?" He asked in shock as Hades smirked. "Maximum Defense Seal: Three Pillared Gods!" He shouted as three pillars shot out of the ground.
"Amaterasu Formula 100." Hades replied, creating a massive explosion that captured everyone on the islands attention. The dust from the blast settled and showed Makarov barely standing. "I don't expect nothing less from my successor. It's no wonder you've managed to hold the guild together for 48 years."
A pain ripped through Makarovs chest as he gripped over his heart. "Are you not feeling well, boy? I guess the years are catching up with you. Almost half a century has passed since we parted ways. Seems fate wants us to run circle on this hollowed ground."
"I don't... understand this..." Makarov gasped out. "You were an amazing guild master. You spoke of harmony and you lead us down a path of righteousness. Did your mind change, or was it all a lie?"
Hades glared at him before raising his hand, making Makarov crashed to the ground from the magic attack. "Long ago, magic was born from the depths of darkness." Hades said as he turned around. "And those who used it were shunned and feared. In time, magic became commonplace, and we integrated it into our society.
"But as I delved deeper, I found the source of magic always came back to Zeref. At last I saw the truth, I had found the personification of magic. Rest well, boy. Fairy Tail will rest here with Mavis." A roar caught his attention as Makarov charged him one last time.
Hades raised his hand and fired a magic bullet from his hand, going straight through the third master. 'It's not over...' Makarov thought, looking up at the sky as he fell back. 'My successor, be prepared for this burden.'
With Natsu and Co.
Natsu roared as he delivered a magic powered blow, knocking a swarm of dark wizards back. "You'll never catch me!" Happy teased as he lead a group. One jumped up and tried to grab him, only to find him and his teammates over a cliff before falling into the ocean.
Pantherlily punched a group back before his magic ran out and he fell to the ground. "If only I had more magic power, I could help Natsu and Happy."
One raced towards them before Slate threw a knife at the dark wizards shoulder, forcing him back. "Looks we'll have to sit this one out then." He told him.
"That's right. Wendy can heal but she can't restore magic power." Carla added.
"Of all the times to be on the sidelines..." The black cat complained.
"Did you see where Mest went?" Wendy asked, looking around.
"Worry about yourself, child." Carla replied.
"She right, you should hurry up and heal yourself." Slate said, throwing another knife.
"It doesn't work that way." The white cat said.
"I was afraid of that." Pantherlily said.
"You need to hide." Happy said as he floated over them. "Natsu and I can take of these guys, no problem."
"Can't be helped, best of luck." Carla said, not interested in the bravado.
"You're serious?" Wendy asked.
"We're more likely to hinder than help." Pantherlily said. Happy bragged about being brave and a hero. "Slate, can I borrow one of your knives?"
"Save it for later." The brown cat replied.
Natsu punched another group away as he gripped his scarf. "Don't tell you're done already? You invading is bad enough, but my scarf turning black has me burning with anger. So let me kick in your teeth!"
The grunts were offended at the insult before one jumped behind Natsu. "I'll turn that scarf of yours into ash. Fire Bullet!" A spiral of flames shot towards Natsu who smirked as it hit him. He opened his mouth and began sucking up the flames, much to the shock of the grunts.
"Thanks for the snack." Natsu wiped his mouth before charging the mob. "Fire Dragon Wing Attack!" He swung his arms and whacked all the grunts around him, scaring them even more.
"Enough, already!" Zancrow shouted as he walked forward. "I can't watch anymore. Leave him to me, I was hoping to get in a good work out during this whole thing. I'll pound this chump into the ground while you're out looking for Zeref. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes."
The grunts thanked Zancrow and walked away, talking about how strong Natsu was. "Don't you dare take another step!" Zancrow angrily shouted, scaring the mob. "He's strong? This little wimp is actually scaring you?" The masked men apologized as Zancrow glared at them.
"There's not a guild out there stronger than Grimoire Heart. Understand me!?" He erupted into black flames, catching everyone's attention. "If you really think he's stronger than one of us, then you don't belong in the guild. Which is why you're all being kicked out!" A wall of flames erupted out of the ground and burned the men alive.
"Those were his men!?" Pantherlily shouted horrified.
Zancrow laughed manically as the flames died, showing nothing but ash. "You jerk!" Natsu shouted at the blonde. "Those were your guildmates!"
"So what!?" The blonde asked back. "Of all the lives you should be concerned about, those losers shouldn't be any number of them!" He waved his arm and a stream of black flames flew towards the pinkette.
"I'm not scared of you! Fire ain't gonna hurt me!" Natsu shouted, standing his ground.
"Natsu, stop!" Wendy shouted. "Those flames are giving me a bad vibe!"
The fire hit Natsu and he tried to eat them. "The hell? Why can't I eat these flames!?" He asked.
"That's what happens to cocky lizards." Zancrow chuckled out. "Time for the second meal!" He summoned a ball of fire and threw it at Natsu, where it promptly exploded.
"How can a Fire Dragon Slayer not be able to eat those flames?" Carla asked as the cats and Wendy shielded themselves from the blast.
Zancrow laughed as he jumped down to the Slayers level. "How do my divine flames taste, dragon hunter?"
"Divine flames?" Natsu asked, having survived the blast.
"It's what it sounds like." The blonde replied. "I'm in a totally different league than you. I'm a God Slayer."
With Lucy and Co.
"Not good, I'm almost out of magic power." Gray panted as the group was surrounded by the goons.
"Same here, but I think we're almost done with them." Loke pointed out.
"Then let's finish them off and find the others." Cana replied.
"But what if the others are fighting them too?" Lucy asked.
"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it." Gray said. "Right now, we gotta-"
"Wait, I sense something." Loke mumbled before a clap caused all the grunts to vanish. "They all left because of him." He looked up and the others followed him to find Caprico standing over them.
"They couldn't beat you, so there's no point of them staying here." The goatman said. "But your fight is far from over."
"A goat in a suit?" Lucy asked as Loke looked up in concern.
With Erza and Juvia
The two women raced through the swamp after beating their opponents before Erza came to a stop, sensing strong magic power. "Who goes there?" The two turned to see Meredy in front of them.
"I have encountered the enemy." She plainly said. "I will destroy them immediately. Commencing combat operations."
"A child?" Juvia asked confused.
"Don't let your guard down." Erza said. "There's something strange about her.
With Nicholas and Brianna
Nicholas slammed the last grunt into tree before both sense two magic power signatures. "Who are you two?" Brianna asked as Chi and Lucian walked out of the woods.
"Hello, it's to meet you." Lucian waved hello. "My name is Lucian Rubrum, and this is Chi Akumu."
"Stop wasting time." Chi said. "Our prey is right in front of us." He studded both enemy wizards and kept his eye on Brianna. "I'll take the girl."
With Elfman and Evergreen
Elfman gasped as he and Evergreen stared at Rustyrose holding a flower. "Is that a bad guy or a flower holder?" He asked.
"Whatever it is, it took a bath in cologne." The girl said.
"Tonight, the fairies and devils dance their tango of death." Rustyrose said, confusing the two. "May these stones and moss serve as a ballroom."
"Can I punch him?" Elfman asked.
"If it'll shut him up, yes." Evergreen replied.
Base Camp
"Whoever you are, come out!" Mirajane shouted as she and Lisanna turned to a tree after beating their grunts.
"Ridiculous." Azuma complained as he emerged from the tree. "First cats and children, and now two women?"
"Lisanna, stay behind me." Mirajane warned her sister.
"No, I can help you." The youngest Strauss said.
With Hades
"Makarov's brats don't stand a chance against the Kin." Hades said as the flag next to him flapped in the wind. "I've spent years crafting them into powerful wizards. And then two more just fall into my lap. Each of them a master of magic from the abyss of sorcery. Lost magic is theirs to command and Fairy Tail will crumbled under their power."
Well the kin have reached the island and I hope you guys are going to enjoy what I plan for my OC's. See you then.
