Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter.

Let's get to it.

Chapter 12- A Search

(August 25, 2004)

As the suns are beginning to rise over the landscape of Tatooine, Philip is slowly riding his own eopie across the seas of sand. He's still stewing a little bit from his encounter with Obi-Wan. He has thought all these years that if he encountered any surviving Masters like Obi-Wan, they would be more than happy to help fight back against the Empire. In his determination to continue the fight against the Empire, he feels furious with Obi Wan for seemingly abandoning the galaxy to be dominated by the Sith.

However, Philip has tried to let go of the incident. Clearly, Obi Wan is going to be of no help to him, and it's going to be no use arguing with him.

As Philip reaches for his canteen to take a swig of water, he suddenly senses something. A slight disturbance in the Force. Philip immediately turns his head to the east, sensing something in that direction. Feeling it may be worth checking out, Philip turns his mount to the east and starts riding in that direction, ready for whatever may lie ahead.

It doesn't take long before he spots several large outcroppings of rock. As Philip approaches, he sees two men just visible in one of the cave openings in one of the outcroppings. Philip quickly recognizes one as Obi Wan. Intrigued. Philip dismounts and hurries over.

In the cave, Obi Wan is in the midst of a quasi-argument with Bail Organa, Bail having come pleading with Obi Wan to rescue Leia, who had been kidnapped.

"You couldn't save Anakin, but you can save her," Bail insists.

Obi-Wan is quiet for several long moments before he asks, "And what if I can;t?"

Bail looks at Obi Wan for a moment in silence before saying, "There is no one I trust more with my child than you."

"You might want to rethink that, Senator Organa."

Bail and Obi-Wan both turn to see Philip striding towards them. Obi Wan instantly recognizes him and frowns. Bail, however, is confused and wary.

"Who are you?" Bail asks.

Philip chuckles. "I was once known as Philip. Now, the Empire knows me as the Crimson Blade," he says.

Bail's eyes twitch a bit in recognition as he hears that name, but narrowing his eyes a second later, not sure if he trusts him.

Philip pauses, then says, "So. The Princess Leia got kidnapped, I hear." Bail just responds with a single nod. Philip then asks, "Any idea where they're going?"

"Daiyu," Bail answers after a moment, beginning to think that Philip might actually be there to help.

Philip smiles. "Alright. Good to know. Tell you what, Senator. I'll go find your daughter. Master Kenobi doesn't care about the galaxy anymore. I'll bring your daughter home safe," he says, then turns and walks back to eopie, ready to start his search. Bail and Obi-Wan watch him go, both concerned.

However, Bail is not yet ready to just fully trust his daughter's face into the hands of someone as unpredictable as the Crimson Blade. He looks at Obi Wan and asks, "Please. One last fight, my friend?"

(Hours later)

Outside the viewport of the shuttle, Philip watches as the planet of Daiyu comes into view. After leaving Obi-Wan and Bail on Tatooine, he had quickly made his way to where his shuttle was hidden on Tatooine and started heading for Daiyu. Now, he's reached the planet, and he's ready to start searching for Leia.

Philip carefully flies the shuttle down to the planet's surface, finding a relatively quiet, obscure spot to set the shuttle down where it hopefully won't be spotted.

As Philip powers down the shuttle, he starts speaking to R2. "R2, you need to stay and watch the ship. I'll find Leia myself. But keep watch. Any Imperial forces find the shuttle, get out of here. If that happens, I'll contact you when it's time to come find me."

R2 beeps a few times in response. Philip then leaves the cockpit and heads out of the shuttle. After checking to make sure nobody is around, he heads out into the streets.

Immediately, Philip feels a sense of disgust. It is obvious immediately that this is a planet of lawlessness and crime. Even more so than Tatooine. He can see gambling games, pickpocketing, and drug deals going on in the open in broad daylight, and nobody seems to care. Philip scoffs quietly to himself.

Somebody sees him and walks up. "Hey, mister," the young man asks. Philip turns to face him. He had decided not to wear his mask, knowing that would just draw attention to him.

"Yes, young man?" Philip asks.

"You looking for some spice? I got the best concoctions right here," the young man says.

"I don't do spice." Philip says. He pauses, then says, "But you can tell me something. You seen anybody moving a very upset little girl through these streets?"

"Can't say I have," the young man says.

"Then leave me alone," Philip says curtly before he continues walking down the street. He's starting to wonder if he actually will be able to find Leia in this place.

(Hours later)

Philip sighs as he walks out of yet another building. He's been searching Daiyu for hours, looking for any sign of Leia or the mercenaries that took her. However, he's found absolutely nothing, nor anybody who does know anything about his target.

As Philip walks out into the street, he suddenly feels something. A tremor in the Force. Philip closes his eyes and reaches out with the Force. For a few moments, he searches through the Force for its source. Then, as he finds out, a smirk crosses his face. It's the Inquisitors. Several of them are here, and from what he can sense, they are searching for Obi-Wan.

"Good," Philip whispers to himself, knowing they've brought themselves to him. He begins walking through the streets, ready to face the Inquisitors again.

As he enters a main street, he sees a pair of stormtroopers ahead of him. Philip smirks as he draws his lightsaber and ignites it, striking down one of them. He then reaches out with the Force and chokes the second to death. People begin to scatter away from him, realizing he's somebody dangerous, yet not a Jedi.

Philip begins walking through the streets much more slowly, waiting for one of the Inquisitors to come to him. He knows that him showing himself will quickly make its way to the ears of the Inquisitors. He knows they won't be able to resist.

Sure enough, within minutes, Philip senses something. Looking up ahead, he smirks as he sees the Fourth Sister approaching him, followed by two stormtroopers. As she approaches, the Fourth Sister activates her lightsaber and calls out, "You should've stayed hidden, Kenobi."

Philip laughs aloud. "Oh, I'm not Kenobi, Fourth Sister. I am someone far, far worse, and far more ruthless," he says. He then ignites his lightsaber, the blade humming ominously.

The Fourth Sister takes a slight step back, not having expected to see the Crimson Blade here. It takes her a moment to recover from the shock before she says, "The Crimson Blade. You came here to search for the girl."

"Not sure what girl you mean. I go where the Inquisitors go, because you are my prey. Now, how about I add you to my tally?" Philip says, spinning his saber once in hand before he starts walking towards the Fourth Sister.

"Get him," the Fourth Sister orders. The two stormtroopers accompanying her start firing their blasters at Philip, but Philip easily deflects the incoming bolts back to the troopers, killing both of them. However, the Fourth Sister takes advantage of the brief distraction to charge at Philip. Philip raises his saber to block her first strike, their sabers crackling as they meet.

Philip shoves the Fourth Sister back before he slashes at her right leg. The Sister easily blocks his blow and stabs towards his waist. Philip deflects it away with a twirl of his saber, almost effortlessly. He then uses the Force to grab a nearby crate and send it flying at her head. The Sister uses her saber to cut the crate in two.

The SIster slashes her saber at Philip's waist, which he deflects, but she then quickly follows it up with a strike at his arm. Philip turns sideways and just avoids the blow. He then uses the Force to push her back a few feet.

The Sister spins the blades of her saber around a few times before charging back at Philip. Philip draws and fires blaster pistol as fast as he can, forcing her to deflect the shots. Philip then uses the distraction to stab his saber right at her chest. The Sister manages to deflect his saber away when its point is just a few inches from her chest. She then swings the other blade of her saber at his head, but Philip brings his saber up and stopping the blow, forcing her saber down. He then delivers a sharp punch to her stomach, knocking the wind out of her and forcing her back.

Philip steps forward and slashes at her neck, but the Sister manages to block it just in time. She then uses the Force to send several pieces of rubble flying at Philip, forcing him backwards while defending himself. The Sister then throws her saber at him, but Philip leaps up and over the saber, the weapon missing him by almost a foot. Philip then raises a hand as the Sister calls her saber back to herself, and to the shock of the Sister, lets loose a bolt of Force lightning from his fingertips.

The Sister raises her saber, just managing to block the lightning as it's about to hit her. Philip rushes her as he keeps up the attack, then leaps up and brings his saber down towards neck. The Sister manages to block that strike, along with the following two. Then, he slashes at her neck, only to switch targets halfway through his strike and aim for her leg. The Sister is thrown off guard, and Philip's saber cuts through the side of her leg.

As the Sister stumbles back, Philip strikes at her arm, which she just manages to stop. However, the impact throws her seriously off balance. Philip uses the Force to throw a small box at her, knocking her onto her back. Finally, Philip steps forward, raises his saber, and stabs it down through her chest.

The Fourth Sister gasps as the saber enters her chest. Philip smirks down at her and says, "You were a fool to think you could kill me so easily." He then pulls the saber back out of her chest, and watches as her eyes close.

Philip only stands there for a second to take in his accomplishment before he turns and begins walking away. As he does, he suddenly feels something. A slight tremor in the Force. Not one brought about by someone's arrival. But by an event. He feels a sense of betrayal. Immediately, Philip starts heading in that direction.

It doesn't take long for Philip to reach the spot where he sensed the tremor, a small departure point for cargo transports. As he enters it, he spots something that surprises him. The body of the Grand Inquisitor, lying on the ground, a wound in his stomach. Instantly, he pieces it together. The Third Sister must have attacked him. That's where he sensed the feeling of betrayal.

Philip closes his eyes, feeling the Force around him. It doesn't take him long to realize that Obi Wan had been here, with Leia, and that they had escaped. Philip feels a grin come to his face. Maybe Obi-Wan isn't so much of a coward as he thought.

However, Philip feels certain this isn't the end of things. This place wouldn't have transports he could use to get back to Alderaan. Philip turns and walks out, heading back to his shuttle. It's clear that Obi-Wan is into something serious, and although Philip still feels angry with Obi-Wan, he's not just going to leave him high and dry.

His involvement in whatever is going on here is not over yet.

And, I'll end the chapter there.

So, the next chapter will actually wrap up the events of the Obi-Wan show, since Philip is not with Obi-Wan at this point. In fact, the next chapter will skip ahead to the finale. I hope you don't mind that.

Next chapter will be up soon. Until it is, please leave a review and stay tuned.
