Hey, this is my first story so please excuse any mistakes grammer wise or more. I am a HUGE fan of MLP and I started writing "Twilight's Old Memories" around the beginning of December. I wanted to work on a story that is about Twilight losing her memories and all her friends all over Equestria trying to help her unsolve the mystery on how exactly she lost them. I spoiled a bit of the storh now so Im going to stop typing. Enjoy!
Princess Celestia stood at the balcony, raising the sun as she had done for many years. Only this time, she felt a sudden urge to visit Princess Twilight Sparkle. "It has been a while since I saw my faithful student", Celestia said to herself.
The royal advisor came running in, "Your majesty, we just got news from Princess Twilight!" The advisor was sweating tremendously and was gasping for air, he had run a long way, as it seemed.
"What seems to be the problem?", asked Celestia, getting worried.
"The princess, she seems to have obtained a severe injury, she has forgotten how to fly or use magic. Worst, I fear, she has forgotten the names of her friends!", the royal advisor said with a trembling voice.
Celestia immediately prepared a carriage to have it take her to Twilight's castle. Fearing the situation, once the colts got in their places, Celestia ordered them to go as fast as they could. The colts did as told. It usually took Celestia around an hour in a carriage to Ponyville, but her carriage was going double the speed, getting there half an hour later. Celestia knocked on the castle door of the former Tree of Harmony. Nopony opened the door the first knock but before Celestia opened the door herself, Applejack opened the doors.
"Princess Celestia! Thank goodness you're here, Twilight wanted to complete a spell from Starswirl in her library that had never been completed but in the process, she lost concentration and the library exploded! Spike got her out before more books toppled over but she has lost memory!", Applejack explained with watery eyes. Celestia asked where Twilight was, and the two ponies ran to Twilight's room. Inside, the whole Mane 6 was there, along with Shining Armor and his family, Cadence and Flurry Heart.
"Has she gotten any better?", asked Celestia. Rarity and Rainbow Dash looked at each other and back at Celestia, both nodding sadly.
"We got here as soon as I heard Twily got in an accident, but I didn't think it was this severe!", cried Shining Armor.
"It's alright, darling, we are all worried about Twilight, she is a strong gal, she will get better in no time!", Rarity responded with a hopeful smile. Just then, Twilight began to wake up.
"She is waking up!", Fluttershy whispered. Twilight slowly opened her eyes, and as they adjusted, she look at all her friends.
"Who are you guys?", Twilight asked.
"Twilight, do you remember anything?", asked Celestia. Twilight looked at Celestia up and down.
"Who are you?", asked Twilight. Celestia's eye immediately watered when she heard Twilight.
"You tried to finish an old dusty spell but you ended up exploding the library!", shouted Pinkie Pie. Twilight lifted an eyebrow.
"What's a...library?", she asked. Celestia's eyes widened. It couldn't have been so bad that Twilight forgot her love for books, could it? Everypony stood around the bed, each introducing themselves one by one, finishing with Celestia.
"Hello, beautiful mane! I love your mark on your side!", Twilight exclaimed.
"I am Princess Celestia, my sister and I, Luna, live in Canterlot, you grew up with Shining Armor, your older brother, and Princess Cadence was your foal sitter. You were talented as a small filly so you took a test to enter my school of advanced studies, which you passed. That's how you got your cutie mark, the mark on your side. I took you as my student and you grew to make great friends and went through many adventures, leading to you earning your wings and becoming a princess", Celestia explained with teary eyes. Twilight looked at Celestia and down to her bed.
"I am...a princess?", asked Twilight. Celestia nodded. Twilight slowly smiled and looked at the ponies surrounding her bed. "I am Princess Twilight...Princess of Friendship...whose best friends live in Ponyville and I learn more about Friendship here? I have a dragon friend called Spike and an owl named Aloicious. I have saved Equestria many times with my friends and now we live in harmony?", briefly explained Twilight. Everyone nodded.
"I think I'm starting to remember!", whispered Twilight. She closed her eyes and saw a memory...a memory of a big white flash and books toppling over her. She opened her eyes and looked at her desk right across her bed. She looked up to her horn and back at the desk. She attempted to pick up a quill with her magic, but nothing happened. She eventually gave up and tried to walk but was met with sharp pain. She immediately sat back down and her smile turned to a frown.
I hope you all liked the story! I have so many more pages to this story. But alas, I wont be putting chapter 2 very quickly. I have to work on even more chapters ahead to stay in line. See you guys!
