I don't own KHR.

"Alright, do you remember the plan?" Kyoya asked them.

"Yeah, me, Tsuna, and Lambo will stay here while you guys go rescue Hayato and Chrome," Takeshi answered.

"And how..."

"Quietly and patiently," Tsuna added.

"And..."

"And if we hear somebody coming, we will hide in the bushes and not try to fight with them," Takeshi cut in, albeit a little disappointed. He understood his brother's logic and worry but Takeshi admittedly wanted to do a bit more than just wait.

He just waited the last time his older brothers left to rescue Hayato and Chrome. And...he can't say that he liked it.

At least this time, they were going to get their siblings back.

They had to.

"Well...at least you know it," Kyoya mumbled, probably not happy with all the interruptions.

"Wouldn't a tree be better?" Ryohei wondered as he gave Lambo (who was luckily still sleeping) one last hug before giving him to Tsuna.

"I don't think we can climb a tree with Lambo," Tsuna explained softly.

"Oh right. Duh."

"You guys ready?" Mukuro asked Kyoya and Ryohei, his face full of fierce determination as he gripped his trident tightly.

"Yeah," Kyoya stated as he lightly ruffled Takeshi's hair before quickly doing the same to both Tsuna and Lambo.

"Let's extremely do this," Ryohei responded fiercely as he pounded his fist into his palm.

"Good, then let's go already," Mukuro said as Kyoya and Ryohei walked towards him.

"Be extremely safe guys," Ryohei told them as he turned back to face them with a thumbs up.

"If I find that you didn't follow the plan, I will bite you both to death," Kyoya promised as he tilted his head back.

"Hie...okay," Tsuna meekly accepted as Takeshi just lightly chuckled and nodded.

It's nice to have people who care about you.

"Tsuna...Takeshi...we'll be back soon with Hayato and Chrome," Mukuro promised. "If Lambo wakes up, tell him that too okay?"

"Okay, we will," Takeshi agreed with another nod, though this one was more firm than the previous one.

"Hopefully he doesn't wake up though," Tsuna just about whispered as he patted Lambo's curly hair.

"Me too. Now let's head out," Kyoya ordered and before Takeshi knew it, his three older brothers were nowhere to be seen, leaving Takeshi and his two other brothers alone in the forest.

"Takeshi...," Tsuna said quietly after a few minutes of silence. "I know that Mukuro said that they would be back soon, but...how soon is soon? Ten minutes? An hour?"

Thanks to the moonlight, Takeshi got a good look at Tsuna's anxious face. Not that he blamed him. Takeshi was feeling a bit anxious himself, even though he steadfastly believed that Kyoya and the others were going to come back with their missing siblings.

It was just that...so many things could go wrong.

Like...like last time.

Takeshi sighed and knelt down next to him by the tree and wrapped his arm around Tsuna's shoulders, bringing him close. Even though it was only by about six months, Takeshi was the older brother here. Thus, it was up to him to ease his younger brother's anxiety, not make it worse.

"I'm sure that they will be back before-"

A loud crinkling of leaves interrupted him.

KHR

As soon as she heard the steps behind her, Chrome rapidly looked around till she saw a small round table covered with a long, lacy tablecloth. And just her luck, it was only a few feet away.

No sooner had Chrome doved under the table then the person walked into the hall. While the tablecloth was long enough to touch the ground, it was also unfortunately see-through enough that if the person looked closely, they would be able to see her. So Chrome stayed deathly still and quiet as the person walked by.

However, because of the see-through tablecloth, Chrome was able to make out the tall, laced up boots.

There was only one person who wore boots like that, and it was Daemon.

Then, to Chrome's horror, instead of just walking down the hall, Daemon stopped at a door and opened it slowly and quietly.

The very same door that Chrome had been trying to get to.

Chrome had to cover her mouth as Daemon peeked into the infirmary, her heart threatening to bust out of her chest.

He was gonna kill him, Daemon was gonna kill her brother, no, she can't let that happen, she has to save...

Then without warning, Daemon pulled his head back and closed the door. Chrome blinked her eye in confusion. She was even more confused when Daemon turned just the right way so that Chrome could see his small but warm smile.

Wha...what was going on? Why was Daemon looking like he was...pleased to find Hayato sleeping? Was it because he was pleased to see that Hayato was sleeping, unaware, that he was about to become a lamb for slaughter? Wait, why wasn't he was surprised or alarmed to find her missing?

Then Chrome remembered that before she left the infirmary, she had arranged the clothes Elena had given her (the...very pretty and clearly expensive clothes) under the blankets in such a way to make it look like to she was still sleeping under them. Daemon must have bought that, which was admittedly a bit of a relief.

Chrome needed to hide with Hayato, and she would have trouble doing that if they were searching every nook and cranny for her.

It still leaves the question of what Daemon was planning to do...as well as why he was still there.

Because despite having closed the door a minute or so ago, Daemon was still standing in front of the door. Then suddenly, he moved. But instead of walking down the hall or at least moving away from the door, he just turned around and leaned back against the door.

What...what was he doing?! Standing guard?!

When Daemon didn't move for several minutes, Chrome was forced to accept that yes, he was standing guard.

Oh what was she going to do? She needed to get to Hayato, to protect him, to keep him safe till Mukuro and the others arrive, but how? There was no way she was going to get past Daemon...unless...

She attacked him.

Chrome bit her lip. While she definitely had plenty of energy to do a full-fledged offensive illusion this time...she didn't know if it would do any good. After all, as she found out not that long ago, Daemon was the Vongola's Mist Guardian. While Chrome still didn't know why he was called that, she did figure out that it must be a title that Vongola gives to one of their most trusted and top officials.

And...Chrome very much doubted she could defeat a top official of the strongest mafia family in the world.

Perhaps if she did a perfect sneak attack?

Chrome shook her head as she thought better of the idea. While even the strongest person can be brought down by a sneak attack (case in point when Tsuna brought down both Kyoya and Mukuro by jumping on them), it still might not be enough. Besides, even if it was enough, the attack will definitely take a lot of, if not most of, Chrome's stamina.

And she will still need her stamina if she wanted to get to Hayato and take him to a safe hiding spot. Not to mention that they will still need to escape this mansion once Mukuro and the others come to rescue them.

It looks like the only thing she can do was wait. Wait and hope that Daemon will end up leaving his post.

And so Chrome waited...and waited. Every time Daemon shifted, Chrome's hopes sprung only to fall down when Daemon continued to lean back against the door. And to make matters worse, Chrome finally felt sleep come upon her. She had to shake her head harshly several times as well as pinch herself in order to keep herself awake.

Okay, maybe waiting was not the best idea. Then what...

"Chrome...we're here."

Chrome jolted upright and nearly let a gasp leave her lips. Mukuro...that's right, she was supposed to contact him when she and Hayato found a safe place to hide! That obviously didn't happen, but she should still tell Mukuro about Daemon. He would know what to do!

"How long are you going to stay under there?"

KHR

"Well...so far so good," Kyoya muttered as he took his ear away from the door. Ryohei nodded, feeling a little bit relieved. They had managed to sneak their way to the Vongola property by climbing the tallest and closest tree to the tall iron fence and jumping over it. The fence was tall enough that the fall could have broken their legs but thanks to the stack of three, very soft mattresses that Mukuro conjured up, they had a very soft landing. Then they ran over to the nearest door in the mansion and quickly gotten themselves inside.

And according to Kyoya, the Vongola famiglia had yet to realize that they had trespassers.

Though...it did seem a little too easy, even for Ryohei. But Mukuro and Kyoya had spied on this place for several days and made up an extreme plan because of it. And the illusion that Mukuro used to hide them was very extreme (not that his illusions are never not extreme). So if they were confident that was everything was going well, then Ryohei was going to be confident that it was going well too.

He extremely believed in his brothers.

However...now that he looked at Mukuro, Ryohei noticed that he was looking worried. But an extreme gut feeling told him that it wasn't because Mukuro was afraid that they had indeed been spotted.

"Chrome still hasn't contacted you back?" Ryohei asked quietly. Mukuro sighed and shook his head.

"She hasn't cut off our connection though, so at least I know she is alive," Mukuro explained softly. Ryohei nodded, feeling a little bit relieved but not too much.

What kind of situation did Chrome find herself in where she couldn't mentally talk to Mukuro?

"Well, let's find her and Hayato before that changes," Kyoya pretty much ordered as he left the door and headed to the one at the opposite end of the dimly lighted room. Which, as Ryohei looked around, was actually extremely nice looking. It was small and kind of squarish and it only contained a red sofa covered with a bulky blue blanket, a small round table, and a few wooden chairs.

But, that was what made it...what was the word? Oh yes, quaint.

"Is this supposed to be some kind of lounging area or something?" Ryohei wondered out loud as he starting walking across the room, making sure his usual boisterous voice was still down several octaves.

"I don't know, and I don't care," Mukuro muttered as he walked beside Ryohei. Then out of the corner of one of his gray eyes, Ryohei saw it. It was a small, narrow green box that laid opened on the table.

And inside, were several pieces of a certain kind of chocolate.

"Hey guys!" Ryohei called out to them quietly as he picked up the box, feeling excited to the extreme. While he was usually against stealing, he wasn't exactly above taking a few pieces of chocolate, especially after everything his little siblings (and older) have gone though.

"Do you think we can take some of this-"

"Ugh, okay, I'm up, I'll go to bed, so will you guys please shut up?" grumbled the blue bulky blanket as part of it flew off the couch, revealing a man with light green hair, blue eyes, and a lightning mark under his right eye.

Then the man turned his head and locked eyes with Ryohei. It was then that Ryohei finished his sentence.

"Fudge."

And Lampo finally enters the fray! So...things may not be looking so good for the kids, but they're resourceful and dare I say it? Lucky. Things just may work out for them.

So what do you guys think? Did the format (splitting the chapter into 3 points of view) work well, was the chapter easy to understand, were the characters okay, etc? Please leave me your thoughts in a review and I will update hopefully by the end of the month!

Till then, have a good day/night!
