Chapter 2: Returning To London/ A Surprise
Selene and Tony were packing to go to Great Britain for their assignment for S.H.I.E.L.D.; which Tony knew well was aware that his wife was nervous going home. He also knew that there was a possibility of her family testing him while they were there. He had to admit that even he was nervous because his wife would probably show him the magical world of London and he wasn't sure how the British wizards and witches would react to him.
He recalled how they both had reacted when Fury had told them that they would be going to England for their assignment; considering that they had arrived late to the meeting and it was the only place left.
"Selene?" Tony said.
"Yes, Tony?" Selene said looking up from packing.
"While we are in London, why don't we visit your parents' graves as well as those who were truly close to you?" Tony said.
Selene smiled and said, "Of course, after all, my family and friends that are no longer living deserves to meet the man that I married."
Tony chuckled and said, "I'm guessing we'll have enter the magical world of London to do so."
Selene nodded.
"Well, where will be staying while in London?" Tony asked.
"Grimmauld Place. " Selene answered.
"Isn't that the place where some unlikely friends will find you?" Tony questioned.
"Yes, but they will not be able to do anything because I took care of everything at fourteen during the summer before I turned fifteen. Besides, I have my husband with me and quite frankly; I married a man who loves me for being me regardless of my titles." Selene said.
Tony smiled then kissed his wife.
Selene returned the kiss and asked, "How long are we staying in London, Tony?"
"According to Fury, four weeks unless something comes up." Tony answered.
"Well then, I guess my husband can enjoy helping me with some things to update Grimmauld Place with some technology since you figured a way for muggle technology to work around magic." Selene said.
"Gladly, my dear." Tony said.
"Oh by the way, Tony?" Selene said.
"Yes?" Tony said.
"Since we will be staying at Grimmauld Place; you'll have to dawn the Lord of the house clothes. Plus, we have to get a few things from Gringotts Bank from the vaults and ask the goblins for help." Selene stated.
Tony huffed well pouted but he knew that Selene was right then asked, "With us upgrading Grimmauld Place a little bit; I'm guessing it's going to be a mixture of muggle and magical since you are of both worlds?"
Selene nodded and said, "By marrying me; you're part of both worlds as well considering MCUSA enjoy having your help to help with muggle technology and magic working in harmony."
Tony smiled and said, "I was only happy to help since they came out to help us when Loki wasn't himself and was trying to over the planet. It was the least I could do. However, I will admit that when Loki threw you off the roof that day; I thought my world was about to end. Selene, you helped me and made me a better person and I am proud to have you as my wife, my lover, and the mother of my children when we feel ready to start a family." Tony said.
Selene blushed and smiled then said, "I'm glad to have you in my life as well, Tony. I'm also proud to have you as my husband, my lover, and the father of my children when we feel ready to start a family."
"Are we taking the private jet or traveling the magical way?" Tony questioned.
Selene giggled and said, "We'll take the private jet because I don't want anyone to know except those selected few that knew that I left."
"Let me guess, owl mail?" Tony said.
Selene looked at Tony and said, "Yes."
"No doubt, we'll be mobbed by the Press when we arrive." Tony said.
"That's true, Tony. However, we were mobbed the Press when you returned from Vegas married to me." Selene said.
"True. " Tony said.
"I will say this. Tony, you give me strength to face the Press in the British Magical Community that made my life a living hell." Selene said.
"Well, we have everything packed; so, let's have Happy drive us to the airport." Tony said.
Pepper and Rhodey were there once Tony and Selene arrived at the airport.
"Tony, where are you two going?" Pepper asked.
"We are heading to London for Avengers business. Also, we are investigating something as well." Tony said.
Then both Tony and Selene boarded the jet plane.
7 hours and 5minutes...
Tony's private jet plane landed at the London Airport. As soon as they disembarked from the private plane; they were instantly mobbed by the Press as well as Avenger fans.
Both Tony and Selene answered the questions of the Press as they were trying to make their way out of the airport. Once, they managed to the rental car and drive off.
Malfoy Manor...
Draco was in his study when Astoria entered and Scorpius followed. She was holding a letter and bringing it to him.
"What's this, Astoria?" Draco questioned.
"Your cousin is back and her husband is with her. This is a letter she sent to let us know that she would be returning to London; but it might have something to do with her husband's work." Astoria said.
Draco chuckled and said, "I don't think that's the only reason that she's back." Draco said.
"What do you mean, Draco?" Astoria questioned.
"I believe Harriet well Selene as she goes by now; has returned to let her husband meet those that he hadn't in New York. Which means that he will meet the Weaseleys and he's probably aware of which Weaseleys betrayed her and a certain muggle born." Draco said.
Astoria smiled and asked, "Besides us, who else knew that Harriet left Britain?"
"Aside from me, Mother, and Andromeda. There was Bill and Fleur as well as Charlie and George Weaseley. Along with Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick. Also, the goblins as well as Neville and Luna. However, there may be more." Draco said.
Astoria and Draco continued talking and their son listened to the conversation. Scorpius was pretty smart and understood that his father's cousin was a very important lady and he was going to meet her and her husband eventually.
Back with Tony and Selene...
They made their way to Grimmauld Place; but they had to stop by Gringotts first to get some things. Tony was nervous because this was the first time that he was going into a Wizarding Bank cconsidering he had never been in one and that included the American branch of the Bank.
Tony parked the car and got out then opened the car door for Selene. They made their way to the Leakey Calderon; of course, Tony stayed close to his wife.
As they made their way through the Leakey Calderon; people stared and because Selene allowed her scar to show. Tony noticed that Selene was letting the British Wizarding World know that she had returned and that she was married.
Tom the bar keeper said, "Welcome back, Lady Potter-Black."
Selene turned and said, "Thanks, Tom. Tom, this is my Husband, Tony. He's an American wizard."
Everyone in the bar was shocked to learn that their savior had married an American; but they were happy for her just the same because she really did deserve happiness.
"Welcome to the Leakey Calderon, Lord Potter-Black." Tom said immediately.
"Thank you and I'm sure I'll enjoy being here considering my wife and I are here on business. Alas, my wife and I have to stop by the bank for a few things." Tony said.
Selene smiled because Tony had actually spoken like a noble.
"So, where are you staying Lord and Lady Potter-Black?" Tom asked curiously.
"We will be staying at one of the Black Properties while we are here." Tony answered.
They left the Leakey Calderon and went to the court yard out back. Tony watched as his wife used her wand and tapped the bricks. He was simply amazed as he watched the brick wall separate and opened up into a pathway.
"Shall we, my lady?" Tony said holding his arm out like a noble would.
"Yes, my lord." Selene said taking hold of his arm.
As they began their walk towards Gringotts; people stared and couldn't believe that the savior of the Wizarding World had returned and with a husband.
At the Minstery of Magic...
Kingsly was now the Minister and he was talking with Ron Weaseley about how to find Harriet Potter and bring her back.
Suddenly, his assistant ran in and said, "Minster, Lady Potter-Black is back and she's married to an American wizard."
"What?!" Kingsly said.
"They were spotted in Diagon Alley and I think they were heading to Gringotts." The young woman said.
"Well, at least Harriet returned on her own." Ron stated.
"True." Kingsly said.
"Sir, that's not the only thing." The woman said.
"What else is there?" Kingsly said curiously.
"Apparently, Lady Potter-Black's husband is quite famous in America as she is famous here and he also happens to be a billionaire and owns his own company." The woman said.
"How do you know this?" Ron questioned.
"The muggleborns and their parents know about Lady Potter-Black's husband and it's rumored that they have both helped MCUSA with some problems." The woman stated.
Kingsly was shocked to hear/learn of this.
Ron couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Why has Harriet returned?" Kingsly questioned.
"According, to Tom from the Leakey Calderon; he said that Lord and Lady Potter-Black were here on some business and that they would be staying at one of the Black Properties here in London." The woman answered.
"The only Black Property that I know of is Grimmauld Place." Ron said looking at the Minister.
Kingsly nodded to Ron.
So, Ron went off to the Owlery and wrote to his family explaining that Harriet was back.
Back to Selene and Tony...
They finally made it to Gringotts after being mobbed by several people and several magical reporters.
The goblins knew that they had to help Lord and Lady Potter-Black because they were aware of the fame that both of them had since information was sent to them from the Gringotts American branch.
As soon as they entered the bank; they were met by a goblin that Selene knew as Griphook.
"Hello, Griphook. This is my husband, Tony Stark." Selene stated introducing Tony.
"Pleasure to meet you, Lord Stark Potter-Black." Griphook said.
Tony smiled and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Griphook. In a way, I believe I owe a thank you to you and the other goblins for looking out for my wife when she was younger."
Griphook was stunned.
"I'll ask that you forgive me, I am still getting use to the title since I married my wife." Tony added.
"Of course." Griphook said, "Follow me, King Ragnarok would like to meet with you both."
Both Selene and Tony followed Griphook to the King of Goblins' office.
Griphook knocked on the grand doors that were huge that led to the office of King of Goblins.
"Enter." A male voice said.
Griphook walked in with Selene and Tony following him.
Ragnarok was surprised to see Selene and said, "Lady Potter-Black, it's good to see you again and is this your husband?"
"Yes, your majesty. This is my husband, Lord Anthony Edward Stark Potter-Black; however, my husband prefers to be called Tony for short." Selene stated.
Ragnarok grunted in understanding and said, "Now, down to business."
Tony and Selene nodded.
At Buckingham Palace...
A man came in to see the Queen with Prince William and Prince Harry.
"Your majesty?" The man said.
"Yes?" The Queen said.
"A young woman matching the description that Prince William and Prince Harry gave." The man said.
"And?" The Queen questioned.
"She's married to an American named Tony Stark. They arrived today here in London saying that they were here for some business." The man said.
"Stark? As in Tony Stark, CEO of Stark Industries who is also known as Iron Man?" William said suddenly.
The man nodded to Prince William.
"Well, I would like to invite Mr. and Mrs. Stark to the Palace at once. If you bump into them please give them an invitation." The Queen said.
The man decided to whisper to her majesty to respond by saying, "I will, your majesty. Right now, they are both in the Magical World at the bank from what I understand."
The Queen nodded understanding.
At the Burrow...
Molly was entertaining her grandkids after she received Ron's letter and wondered why Harriet left in the first place. Not to mention, she wondered why Harriet's magic wasn't lost since she broke the marriage contract between her and Ron that was written between her and Dumbledore.
"Molly, you seem distracted?" Arthur said.
"Well, Ron wrote me and said that Harriet is back." Molly said.
"What did he say exactly?" Arthur asked curiously.
"Well, he says that Harriet is married to an American wizard and that apparently her and her husband are here on business. He also says that Harriet's husband is a billionaire." Molly said.
Arthur had this feeling that Molly had been keeping something from him but said, "At least, Harriet is happy. I mean she wanted to marry for love. Besides, I wouldn't put past James if he did something that no one expect with the help of Sirius and Remus as well as Lily before their passing."
Molly wondered what Arthur meant by that statement.
"Molly, you never saw eye to eye with Sirius but you forget who James was and if I know James; he had a back up plan for everything and anything though he was considered a prankster." Arthur said.
Molly and Arthur continued talking.
Back in Diagon Alley...
After an hour or two, the meeting with Ragnarok was over with; so Tony and Selene headed back out into the crowd after they got what they needed from Gringotts.
"Selene?" Tony said.
"Yes, Tony?" Selene said.
"I would like to see the joke shop that you invested in." Tony said.
"Of course, darling." Selene said.
So, Selene and Tony made their way to Weaseleys Wizard Wheezes or WWW for short. When they arrived at the store, Tony was practically impressed by the store itself by the outside appearance. Then when they went inside, he was practically amazed by it.
"Welcome to Weaseleys Wizard Wheezes. How may I help you?" A feminine voice said.
"Well, I wondered if the owner was in because my husband and I would like to talk to him about opening a store in America." Selene said.
"He's busy but in what part of America?" The woman asked.
"New York. Right across from Stark Tower and from what I hear, he may be able to sale muggle jokes as well. He may even have help from Loki, the Nors God of Mischief himself. " Tony said.
Selene giggled and said, "Darling, you know Thor would not exactly be hip to his brother helping out in a shop."
"Well, Selene, I am pretty sure that you scared Loki when you told him what Prongs, Padfoot, and Moony would have done to him if they had been there when he had thrown you off the roof." Tony chuckled.
"Yes, well I think he was more concerned with what you would do, Tony." Selene said.
The woman blinked. However, Tony was up to something and Selene had a feeling what he was he was up to.
The woman wasn't going to let Selene see the owner that Tony gave her a look.
Selene sighed seeing the look on Tony's face and said, "Tony, are you wanting me try the spell?"
Tony grinned.
Selene smiled and said, "Prongs, Padfoot, and Moony, I solemnly swear that I am up to no good! Bambi says let the Mischief of the past begin!"
Suddenly, the original pranks from the Mauders began and the store went crazy.
George came out of his office and was in shock at what was going on and said, "Angelina, what's going on?"
"I don't know but one of the assistants said that a man and woman wanted to see you. She uttered a spell that I've never heard." Angelina said.
George huffed and said, "So, what exactly is happening?"
"Well the store is being pranked until you come out. It's what an assistant is saying. Plus, I have never seen the pranks before." Angelina said, "However, one of the customers heard the woman say 'Bambi says let the mischief of the past begin' but other than that's all we know."
George smirked as he realized who it was paying him a visit and said, "Angelina, you know that mine and Fred's idols were the Maurders, right?"
Angelina nodded.
"Well, Prongs had a daughter and Padfoot was her godfather and Moony was her honorary uncle. Both Padfoot and Moony would call Prongs' daughter, Bambi." George stated, "Plus, Bambi was blood adopted by Padfoot with Prongs and his wife's permission. However, myself and George knew who Bambi really was; so if she casted a prank spell then she's the only one to stop it."
So, George made his way to the front with Angelina following behind him. He was stunned to see what he was seeing then he heard, "Bambi says Mischief Manged courtesy of Prongs, Padfoot, and Moony by Heiress Bambi herself."
George's draw dropped when he saw the one person that he hadn't seen since she was seventeen because she had left before her eighteenth birthday. He also saw a gentleman standing beside her and he had something in the center of his chest.
Selene smiled when she saw George and said, "Sly Magpie, it's good to see after all these years."
Tony couldn't help but chuckle.
"Bambi, I am happy to see you but seriously?" George said looking at the damages of the store.
"No that's Padfoot. However, meet my husband, Iron Man." Selene said.
Every muggleborns' jaw dropped at hearing that.
George blinked until Angelina said, "Harriet Potter! You married Tony Stark!"
Selene giggled and said, "Actually, it would be Lord Tony Stark Potter-Black and MCUSA actually enjoy having Tony around considering what happened in New York with Loki the Nors God of Mischief. Plus, Tony has helped MCUSA out when some of Magical businesses served both muggles and magicals."
Tony chuckled.
"What's so funny?" Angelina questioned.
"I was recalling a moment when the Hulk threatened someone." Tony said.
"The Hulk?" George questioned.
Selene at George and said, "George, you and Fred along with your two older brothers were like brothers to me. However, you were one of the selected few that knew why I had to leave. Since I married Tony let's just say that the Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Thor the Nors God of Thunder have become family as well. And the person that the Hulk threatened was Loki before he threw me off the roof of Stark Tower. Everything is forgiven because Loki was controlled by someone."
George nodded in understanding.
"All joking aside. My wife and I wanted to let you know that another war may be coming but we're not sure when. So, my wife wanted to inform you and those truly close to her." Tony said seriously.
"I understand and thanks for letting me know and you better believe I have your back always." George said.
Selene nodded and said, "We will be staying at Grimmauld Place and it's getting a complete upgrade."
George nodded again.
Moments Later...
Selene and Tony exited the Leakey Calderon and was back in Muggle London; when a man approached them and said, "Excuse me, Mr. and Mrs. Stark?"
Both Tony and Selene turned and said, "Yes?"
"Would the two of you come with me to Buckingham Palace?" The man asked.
"May I ask why my wife and I go with you?" Tony questioned.
"Your wife saved the lives of Prince William and Prince Harry and returned them safely to their mother, the late, Princess Diana of Wales. Princess Diana wanted to thank your wife personally but now that falls to the Queen." The man said.
Selene blinked then fainted from shock.
Tony caught his wife and said, "We'll come but my wife wasn't aware that she had saved royalty at the time she saved the Princes; she just saw them as children."
"That's understandable. Princess Diana wanted her sons to experience life outside the Royal life." The man stated.
Tony picked up his wife bridal style and placed her in the car and said, "We'll follow you."
"Alright, the Palace guards will expect us. The Queen has already informed them of your arrival. I'm actually a messenger between the Queen and the Magical World; however, I wasn't exactly aware of your wife, Selene being Magical. " The man said.
Tony walked over to the driver's side and opened the door then said, "My wife's full name is Harriet Jasmine Selene Potter-Black and her life had been hell since her parents were killed. Then her godfather was falsely accused for a crime he didn't commit and was never given a trial but was thrown into Magical prison. She found out the truth at age thirteen!" Tony said, "Not mention, she had a prophecy hanging over head right after her godfather was killed by his own cousin. Then after the Magical War was over, three people who she thought she could trust as well as a few others turn their backs on her. "
The man blinked in confusion.
"I pretty much understand why my wife left. The Magical Community of Britain wasn't giving her time to grieve for her losses. She told me that their were only a selected few that she trusted completely and I met my in-laws that are living but my wife and I have Magical portraits of the others. And I intend to inform them of everything; because Selene is my world now and I'll protect her " Tony said.
