POWER
For centuries, Sesshomaru believed himself impervious to lightening. He'd been struck before, many times, and never was a swath of skin burnt nor a hair out of place.
When the miko's power – eerily similar to the natural phenomenon – was near, hair stood on end, teeth clenched, skin blistered, thrilling chills skittered down his spine.
The pain was welcome.
He craved it.
He antagonized his half-brother. If only to feel her reiki bolt towards him, crackling like the electricity in the monsoon storms.
When she disappeared down the well after Naraku's demise the emptiness that followed haunted him.
Until she returned.

"How much do I owe you?" Kagome asked pulling her coin purse out of the remnants of her charred robes.
"Nothing," Sesshomaru's spoke firmly as he presented a beautiful silk kimono.
"But—"
"You were fighting to save This One's daughter, Kagome. I would not have you pay for replacement garments."
"Oh…" she said as she set her purse down. "It's just that it looks very expensive, and I wouldn't want you to—"
"There is nothing worth more than what you have done for me. I would purchase a thousand garments in thanks, and it still would not equate."

TRUE
"Ok!" Kagome exclaimed, shooting back another cup of sake. She glanced at the regal yokai across the hearth. "Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Sesshomaru, you can't pick truth; you just did three in a row!"
"You did not specify a limit, Miko."
"I'm saying it now. You can't."
He sipped his own sake, gilded gaze heavy and alluring raked across her form.
"If I must… dare."
"I dare you to—"
Lips were on hers, hands buried in her hair, fangs nipping her lip.
Breathless, she whispered, "That's not how the game works."
"Pity," he murmured, taking her lips once more.

SPIRIT
"You finally found someone to protect, I see."
His sire's apparition hovered before him.
Sesshomaru nodded.
"I had hoped it would be that spitfire of a woman. The moment she entered my grave, I knew she would be important to both my sons."
"Kagome has given me a life I never knew was possible," He paused. "I understand you now, father. I regret many things, but the night of your death is one I lament the most."
"It does no good living in the past. Enjoy the present, look to your future." Toga smirked. "And give me lots of grandkids."

DOMINATE
"Kagome, you must dominate the creature. Display in no uncertain terms who is alpha."
"It's a puppy, Sesshomaru." She rolled her eyes at her mate. "Look at how cute he is!"
"He will use that cuteness to manipulate you."
"Like you did when you adopted Ichiko as an infant and used her to make me give you the time of day? Like father, like son." Kagome nuzzled the puppy's soft fur.
Sesshomaru scoffed.
"You were the only person I wanted to create a family with, biological or otherwise. I only had to inspire you to reciprocate."
"I love you, too."

MAW
These were the moments Kagome loved Sesshomaru most:
When she woke up before him, light snores pushing warm breath against her bare chest.
When he held their sleeping children, swaying and murmuring to them in a language only they understood.
When he smiled at her, from across the dinner table or gardens or dojo, quick and subtle only she knew what it meant.
When he thrust into her, on the verge of transformation – stripes jagged, sclera bleeding scarlet, dripping maw somewhere between beast and being, yoki merging with her own power as they simultaneously surged over the precipice of pleasure.

CONTROL
"You can't control her. Rin is a young woman now, in love and simply wanting her father's blessing!"
"This One refuses to condone a marriage to a mortal."
"You married one!" his mate exclaimed exasperated.
"Correct, now your life is tied with mine; you will age as I age. You will live through centuries, perhaps millennia! She must find a yokai. I cannot—"
Kagome glimpsed the agony in his eyes before she encased Sesshomaru in her comforting embrace. Tears not her own dampened her cheek.
"I cannot lose her, Kagome. I cannot watch my child die a mortal's death."

FERAL
"Don't hold back," Kagome begged, arching into him. He was on the edge, she could tell. Sesshomaru's hips kept an even pace as he repeatedly buried himself in her, but sclera threatened to turn crimson and claws dug into her hips without breaking the skin. She had simply had enough of being treated like something fragile.
In a heartbeat, she had fisted the hair at the base of his skull and pulled. Reiki skittered across his form, causing him growl and his pace to stutter.
"I'm not going to break. Let go."
The howl that followed was heard miles away.
UNLEASH (FERAL Cont'd)
Sesshomaru's breakneck pace was unforgiving. Kagome relished it as he continued to hit that one spot inside that made her breath stop and toes curl.
Lethal claws broke the skin at her hips, blood trickling down to the moss below.
Her mate snarled into the night, dappled moonlight danced across his handsome and feral features.
He pulled her from the forest floor, bracing her against him as he drove up into her. Her arms wrapped around his neck. Twigs and leaves flew from her hair, scattering around them.
"Kagome," he growled as yoki unleashed, and they tumbled together in ecstasy.

TOOTH/CLAW
"Mama, Papa!" Their eldest child, Matsue, hollered as she ran into their room well before sunrise.
Kagome was slower to wake, but Sesshomaru bolted upright, just in time to catch their flying offspring as she launched herself onto the futon.
"Shhh, you'll wake your siblings," Kagome mumbled gesturing to the three identical bassinets nearby.
"Sorry," Matsue said unfazed as she made herself comfortable between her parents.
"What is the meaning of this?" Sesshomaru asked, exasperated.
"The tooth fairy came! Look at all the coins for my first tooth!"
Sesshomaru directed a weary glare at his mate. She smiled back sleepily.
