Ruby let out a whistle when her team alongside team JNPR who joined them not to long after they first started eating lunch walked up the big yellow building saying,
"I don't remember this being here when uncle Qrow let me tag along with him!" She said with an excited gleam making exaggerated stories of what was inside while Yang just looked over at her sister,
"Wait Uncle Qrow brought you with him? He never let me go on any of those trips!"
"Hehe well he didn't let me per say, but he could never find me until we were already on our way here and by then it was too late so, poof! I tagged along!" Weiss hearing that just sighed thinking about how well that fits in with Ruby's character.
"This Ruby, this is why I call you a child." She spoke with a deadpan look while Blake just smirked and gave a slight nod in the back. Acon noticed she kept bringing her eyes over towards Mira and glancing back. Hers and Acon's eyes met and he gave her a raised eyebrow with a small smile causing her to quickly look the other way. He just laughed to himself at the thought and decided to see where this went.
'This could be good for the guy, make him less stoic' He thought as they finally got inside and the first batch went into the elevator. That just left Acon down with team JNPR who didn't know what they were doing there since he just kind of invited both teams to visit after classes when they had lunch together.
"So why so awkward you guys? If we end up having to work alongside each other might as well get to know each other right? Here I'll start, Pyrrha right? What do you like to do for fun?"
"Oh! Um hello! But yes my name is Pyrrha Nikos, and well umm I like to read?" She said being caught off guard on Acon directing his attention to her right away. And what surprised her even more was the fact that he was legitimately unaware of who she was.
'When I think about it, it makes sense with them not being from anywhere near here…it's honestly kind of refreshing to be a complete stranger' She thought to herself while glancing over to Jaune who also didn't know who she was until they mentioned the cereal.
"Alright reading is nice, never really got into it, though a friend of mine loves to read, says it helps her make up for lost time or something like that." He mused while getting a frown on his face thinking about his team he left behind.
'Damn it…If I just stayed with them and we all went together we wouldn't be here right now' before shaking his head and looked over at the orange haired girl,
"So what about you?"
"HI! I'm Nora! And I like Ren and Pancakes, also I like to break legs!" She shouted out getting Acon to wince a little at the close range before smiling and looking over at the guy with black hair.
'Ok Nora's a little disturbing with the leg thing but oh well' he thought before the guy started to speak.
"Hello, my name is Lie Ren but everybody calls me Ren, I enjoy meditating and spending time around my friends"
'Ok not bad seems normal enough'
"Ok last but not least what about you?" Acon said looking over at the final member of team JNPR.
"Oh yea right me, well um I'm Jaune Arc, and for hobbies I guess reading comics or watching movies?" He said essentially asking again like he didn't want to disappoint everybody.
'Hmm well he doesn't seem like a bad kid but it seems like he has no fighting experience from the way he holds himself compared to the others I met here, I guess I'll just have to wait and see' Acon thought to himself before the elevator gave a chime and opened up again in front of them.
"Well it was nice getting to know you all a bit but here's our lift!" he said with a smile glad to have invited them over to get to know each other.
After a minute of riding in the elevator the doors opened up to show the living areas of the building. After looking around he saw what everybody was up too, Towa was in the kitchen making coffee while Mira was leaning against the wall with his eyes closed probably meditation or asleep, Acon couldn't be sure yet with this guy. Amber and Winter were sitting on the couch with most of Team RWBY who was telling them about their time beacon and getting to know each other. Blake was walking around the hall looking at the pictures of him and his friends much like the ones in his house except these were a lot more than the ones he kept at home. He walked up to her side when she was looking at one that he was particularly proud of.
It was his teams first mission and probably their most dangerous one because of the fact they were dealing with a corrupted Whis. Probably not the best bet for a first team mission but it really cemented their future as a team that eventually became a family. It was an odd mix too given most people had teams being smaller and mostly around their own races. What made this one so unique was it was a mix of a two saiyans, a fusion, a namekian, an android, a majin, and a member of frieza's race.
'We really needed a name for them instead of just frieza race I mean he wasn't even the first' Acon thought to himself before going back to the picture and saying.
"This was right after our first mission you know, we fought a guy who had insane levels of power and the only reason we survived was because we had the numbers and power to not die in one hit you know, after the mission we all decided to take a group picture with our boss to commemorate the occasion and have a permanent reminder of what brought us together." He spoke up to Blake who just listened in and saw the cracked and broken armor on the people in the image and even some bruises but nothing major.
"It doesn't look like you guys took to much damage based on the how you look here though?" She asked honestly curious about that since from what he was saying the enemy could have killed them if they were alone.
"That's because our medical is amazing and can heal pretty much anything short of losing a limb and even then that's not permanent for us most of the time, but it was pretty bad, if you look at my armor and where its completely broken off at the side is because I took a hit meant for someone else that pretty much blew the side of my abdomen out and before I could bleed out the taller pink girl over there healed me because of her…semblance I guess you call it and I jumped right back into battle"
He said all that like it was no big deal but now that Blake looked at the picture closely to see where he was talking about she could see the skin there was much lighter than the rest of his, like it has never seen the light of day until that day and her eyes widened wondering how many of them took hits like that and got back up to finish the job.
'That kind of dedication is insane, I don't even think He would be willing to go back and fight someone who could do that much damage to someone in one hit' Deciding to change the subject Blake spoke up,
"So which one of them is your boss? When you talked about them you got really fond speaking of them"
Acon smiled at the question before pointing her out,
"She's the short pink one making the V with her hands, she was basically my only family until this one came along being the only person I could relate to." He said also pointing at someone else in the picture making Blake sweat drop a little seeing what she thought was either a teenager younger than her or a very small adult. Seeing her expression Acon laughed and said,
"Trust me she looks young but she's super strong and older than anybody I've met I think the age thing is just a side effect of her abilities, but enough about the past let's go and talk to the others after all we did invite all of you so we can meet you all and get to know each other"
Taking one last glance at the picture and seeing the grin on Acon's face with his boss standing in front of him and his team taking his sides she looked towards her team and thought,
'I wonder if we'll be able to make that kind of bond between all of us' before saying,
"Right sounds good to me" She said walking down the hallway back to the living room and just as they were about to pass the kitchen Acon saw a chance and took it by leaning down a bit a whispering,
"And maybe you can get this chance to get to know a certain big blue man right?" He said causing Blake to blush a bit knowing she was caught before rushing ahead towards her team past the kitchen and not noticing Mira who was leaning against the walkway on the opposite side of the wall who had didn't make a reaction that he heard or not.
As Acon stood there chuckling to himself at the joke he made he heard a voice speak up from the kitchen doorway,
"Now I didn't know that you could be so teasing towards someone, especially a young girl's feelings," Towa spoke up still drinking her coffee which looks recently refilled,
"How many cups have you had since you got up here?" Acon thought seeing behind the coffee pot which was also refilled all the way and getting a little worried for her.
"Don't ask questions and don't fear the answers, let me just say I've had enough and the other pot is what I'm willing to share with anybody." She said with a straight face and Acon just decided to go with it and said,
"Please it's harmless teasing, though I'll admit from what I've seen so far they don't seem like they would be bad together now would they? I mean they both have that aloof 'I'm cool and I know it' vibe going for them after all" He said causing Towa to think for a second and before she gave a resolute nod.
"You may be right, for Mira to grow as his own person now maybe having more emotional connections would be good for him" She said before she walked off but not before saying,
"When we're done with this meet and greet, I want you Mira Amber and Winter to meet me in the lab I found out some information that could help us."
"Really? Good or bad news?" Acon asked because Towa's expression didn't give anything away right away.
"Nothing to worry about at the moment just a precaution you should all be aware of."
"Well alright then let's head on over to the others" He told her before he started walking towards the others. Meanwhile Towa looked over at Acon with an unreadable expression in her eyes,
'Damn it I don't know what this means for all of us but we have a new chance and I'll be damned to let it go now' She thought to herself with her eyes unknowingly flashing a bit with power.
After that thought she followed the others in the hear Ruby shout out,
"These are some of the best cookies I've ever eaten! Where can I get more?!" She said getting more frantic like a drug addict. Knowing how she felt Acon put a hand on her shoulder and said,
"I'm sorry Ruby but the girl who made these cookies is back home, everything we have left is in there," he said pointing to the cabinet. Ruby used her semblance and shot across to Acon grabbing his collar and saying,
"We have to make them last Acon, this is serious business you just don't get cookies likes these everyday!" She said with Acon nodding in agreement,
"You're right Ruby these are too important to waste. For now until we can get more we'll save them for a special occasion ok?" Acon asked getting Ruby to sit there or think about it before agreeing. Acon thought about it and then agreed. Before the conversation get any further Winter decided to be responsible and said,
"Ok well I would very much like if you all stayed for dinner at least so that way I can get to know Weiss's classmates a bit better." Nora being Nora shouted out,
"I won't say no to free food and neither will Ren! We're in!" And after that Jaune and Pyrrha agreed. Now as for team Ruby Yang and Ruby quickly agreed and Blake just gave a simple nod of confirmation, Meanwhile as for Weiss a part of her was extremely happy at the invitation while another part that was the Schnee heiress was weirded out by this new demeanor her sister has. She decided to talk to her about it after dinner. After that thought Weiss agreed.
Meanwhile Acon who was having a small conversation Mira before they agreed on something decided to speak up.
"Right then since we figured that out and because you are all little warriors in training, Mira and I think we should have a friendly spar! Both teams vs Mira and I." After that everyone in the room froze besides the two. Pyrrha decided to ask,
"Wait are you sure about that? I know that you're very strong Acon and if Mira was stronger than you that definitely says a lot, but are you sure that both of you want to take us all on? What if one of you gets hurt?"
"Ah no worries about that I promise we'll be fine so what do you say?" Excited at the idea of a fight Yang spoke up,
"Heck yeah muscles I've been wanting to have a go since you saved Ruby and Weiss from the nevermore and tossed that deathstalker around like nothing!" With the other 7 teens nodding in agreement even though it seemed Ruby and Nora were trying to jump in place as fast as possible. Mira then spoke up,
"Right then, let's go to the gravity chamber" he said before jumping out the window to the shock of others and landing on the ground level before heading back inside. Acon just sighed before sharing an exasperated look with Towa who just shrugged and said
"What are you looking at me for? I can't control what he does."
"Fine fine well everybody I don't feel like waiting for the elevator so everybody grab on and we'll head downstairs." With Towa instantly grabbing onto his shoulder knowing what he was going to do. Meanwhile the others were confused before Amber shouted out,
"Oh you're going to do the teleporting thing right!? That was so cool when you teleported Glynda away during the trials!" She said causing the others to blink before Pyrrha said,
"You…can….teleport?"
And Blake following up with,
"And you used it to teleport Ms. Goodwitch away?"
And finally Ruby,
"What can't you do?" She asked getting nods of agreement from the others at that statement, Acon thought about it for a second before Towa answered,
"I'll tell you what he can't do, stay down" She said with a smirk causing Acon to grin and he just said,
"Well you heard her, but enough about that let's go before Mira gets impatient, Everyone just place a hand somewhere on me or if there's no space grab the person closest to you and we'll go" He said with Winter taking the other shoulder and Amber placing a hand on his back. After that the rest of the teens grabbed his arms and Acon said,
"Ok everybody has a hold? Great… Kai kai!" He said and they disappeared in a blink and as they were a little disconcerted at the fact they were now downstairs and didn't even feel like they moved.
"That… was… AWESOME!" Nora shouted out while the others were just as amazed as Nora but a bit more subdued. Acon just laughed a bit at their reactions before saying,
"Alright well this is the gravity chamber and it's essentially a room where we can increase the feeling of gravity to make you heavier but we also use it for sparring and training. The room is reinforced to handle incredible amounts of pressure and it actually uses the excess energy we give off and fuels it into the shields so we have no idea how much pressure it can actually take yet. On that note let's head on in"
Seeing that Amber, Winter and Towa weren't following Ren asked,
"Aren't you coming with us? Before Amber answered,
"No not today, we'll be upstairs watching this time around, to be honest we're just as curious as they are to see what you kids can do!" She said with a smile before Ren responded,
"We will do our best not to disappoint you then Ms. Aspara," he said before following the others into the room with the door closing behind him. Amber then turned to Winter excitedly,
"He called me MS. Aspara Winter can you believe that!? Nobodies ever respected me that much!" She said causing Winter to just chuckle and say,
"Yes Amber I heard but we might want to head upstairs after all I want to see what my sister and her friends can do." Before Amber followed along.
Time skip to dinner
It was a massacre, for the teams at least. Nobody came close to touching the two unless they let them come in that close in the first place. And the worse part was none of them actually worked together. Ruby would charge forward and due to the size of her weapon and her team being mostly close range fighters couldn't let her teammates in to close in fear of getting cut down while Can just stepped closer to Ruby and wrapped his hand around the handle of the giant scythe before swinging it away and Ruby with it.
As for the others Blake tried to sneak in and get an attack from behind but couldn't do anything when without even blinking con turned around and swung a kick towards her also hitting Weiss who was in the middle of a charge forward. Surprisingly Yang was the last one to charge mostly due to checking on her sister before unleashing her semblance immediately and throwing a punch with her gauntlets firing but to her shock when she did Acon just stepped forward like he did with Ruby and grabbed her arm before flipping her over and pinning her to the ground.
Meanwhile with team JNPR it wasn't going much better, Mira grabbed Nora by the back of her shirt and took her Hammer before throwing Nora towards Ren and as soon as Ren caught her he threw the hammer towards them but Jaune jumped in the way with his shield trying to protect them but not being able to hold up against the force thrown and flew back into the two essentially taking all three out instantly. Pyrrha charged forward spear in hand before taking a shot with her rifle causing Mira to raise a hand blocking the bullet, as soon as she took the shot she charged forward spear in hand and tried to thrust it towards Mira's stomach but she didn't expect Mira to step to the side and twist past it before slamming a palm into her own stomach throwing her at the top of the pile.
After they were all thoroughly beaten they took a few minutes to recover and headed back upstairs to eat where the teens were more exhausted than they thought they would be from an extremely short spar. But the force behind each hit was enough to completely take out their own aura's in each shot giving an the teams idea of how much power was behind each blow. And also giving them an idea of just how much the two were holding back.
Bringing us to now where they sat at the dinner table in solemn silence trying to come to terms with their loss. Acon after sharing some looks with the others knowing what the teams were going through after his first big fight spoke up,
"Alright spit it out what's wrong you guys?" he said jolting everybody out of their thoughts. Weiss with her pride suitably bruised spoke up,
"It's just that you beat all of us with no effort but we've been training for years! How can we ever expect to be ready when there's a chance the grim or some criminal could be just as strong as you all and then what we just die?" After that statement she got nods in agreement from the others who thought that just as much although Jaune was taking it a bit worse than the others,
'Why did I even try sneaking into the school, I'll just be a burden-' but before his thoughts could get even more self depreciating Acon responded to Weiss's question.
"Sure you might be weak today but that doesn't say anything about tomorrow or the day after that. Strength isn't something that comes overnight, A teacher of mine told his son this one time… Power comes in response to a need not a desire, and you have to create that need. Nobody starts off strong they maybe they start off stronger compared to someone else or are some sort of prodigy but I can guarantee you that there's someone else out there who is stronger making that person weak in comparison and so on. So tell me…what are you going to do next?"
After he said that the others thought about it but the words really hit Jaune inside knowing that he was weak but before he could process it he said,
"We get stronger" causing everybody to look over at him this being the first statement he actively spoke to them. Seeing the attention on him he kept going before he could cower out and stop,
"I mean look at it this way guys, we lost, and we lost bad but that wasn't just because of our skills. When we fought them everybody did their own thing, and nobody tried to work together isn't that why we're a team? If we can help each other and learn to cover each other's weakness than I bet that there won't be much that can get in the way in the future." Everybody gained a look of surprise in their eyes hearing that from him but he got approving nods from the two huntresses in the room before Amber spoke up.
"He's right you know, Winter and I are strong on our own but when we work together we've taken down elder grimm in hordes compared to when we fight alone. Now I won't tell you what to do but I think if you try and train a bit more together and sharpen your skills and try this again you'll see a very different outcome" She said getting a nod from Winter who thought.
'Well it wasn't as easy as she makes it sound but the point is still there' before she spoke up as well,
"In Atlas there's a reason we have everybody remain in teams and that's so we can minimize field risks and potential causalities in the field. Lone wolves are much more prone to accidents after all" After those words the mood considerably brightened with everybody making conversation and generally just relaxing together. After dinner was done the teams decided to head back thanking the others for their time and Acon just said,
"No worries this was nice, feel free to visit again!" Meanwhile Weiss was off to the side with Winter and getting some answers to some questions that was bothering her.
"Hey Winter, I was wondering why do you seem so different than when I last saw you?" Confused Winter asked,
"Different? What do you mean Weiss?" Seeing that her sister didn't quite get the question Weiss decided to clarify.
"It's just you act much more relaxed than I've ever seen you be before and you're more open , I was just trying to figure out why?" Widening her eyes Winter thought about it and realized that these past few days with everything she's learned and had to do she didn't at all feel like Winter Schnee of the Schnee Family or Winter Schnee of the Atlas she was just Winter.
'I don't even know what I'm going to report tonight when General Ironwood calls, I haven't even tried to learn about their abilities I've just seen things that they've done and that's it I just don't know what to do for once' Seeing that her thoughts were starting to trail on and her sister was still waiting for an answer Winter responded,
"Weiss I'll be honest with you and say I don't know, it's just this environment makes me feel at ease and I don't know what to do. This isn't like back home where we had to hold an image up to represent ourselves to everybody but it's been like that so long I don't know what to do." After saying that Weiss was shocked. This was Winter who was just venting in front of her and she didn't know what to do.
Winter who was always in control.

Winter who was always the best.
Winter who was always-
Wait was she?
Was Winter ever truly happy like she was now?
With all the pressure on them all of their lives Winter was always busy trying to work hard and be the best so that way she could get away from their father. But she was never happy. The closest to really being happy was when it was just her and Weiss but those never lasted long with Weiss having the responsibilities of being groomed to be the Schnee heiress while Winter pursued other paths. But here, here Winter had none of those responsibilities she could just be her.
"I think it's because you're happy now, back home we could never be happy but here you can and I think you don't know what to do about it. But honestly Winter, I'm happy to because this made me realize we can just be us and nobody can control us here!" She said with tears starting to show in her eyes at her newfound freedom. Winter realizing the same thing also started to have tears but not for the freedom but realizing that this was the chance she wanted all of her life,
'I can finally be there for Weiss and nobody can stop me now' it always hurt her to see what Weiss was forced to go through because Winter essentially ran away. Bringing Weiss in for a hug Winter leaned next to her holding her tight.
Weiss while a little shocked at first at the sudden hug took the chance and squeezed her sister just as tight before hearing her sister whisper,
"You're stronger than I could ever be" and after saying that she let go of the hug grabbing Weiss's shoulders and saying,
"Right well go with your team we can't let you miss curfew so soon in the year right?" After saying her goodbyes Weiss headed back to her team who was waiting for her and when she walked up Ruby jumped up to her and starting talking at a fast pace before noticing the small tears at the corner of her eyes,
"Weiss? What's wrong?" Smiling at her team leader she answered,
"Nothing Ruby I just realized something that I can be happy about today, now let's go you child we have classes tomorrow!" Before dragging Ruby by the cape as she was frantically waving behind her yelling for Weiss to wait a minute. Yang just laughed and said bye following behind them while Blake stopped for a second and gave a formal goodbye while lingering on Mira for a moment. Acon just gave a small suspicious cough causing her to glare at him for a second knowing what that was about before rushing off to catch up with her team.
After a few moments of silence Amber spoke up,
"Is it just me or does it feel like those two teams have some serious potential between them all?" Surprisingly Mira was the one who answered first,
"No I can tell, if they keep working they will grow extremely strong by your standards." Short simple and to the point while also being a bit prideful reminding them of their strength. Acon just deadpanned at him,
"Well you're certainly a humble one aren't you? Now come on, Towa didn't you want to show us something in the lab?" Having the attention on her Towa was brought back to her earlier thoughts before nodding and with a simple follow me led the way into the lab. The other four could tell by her demeanor that this was some serious stuff they were about to talk about.
Once in the lab Towa turned around and said,
"First, regarding our money issues I finished conversion towards the lien with the banks systems, now we can actually afford clothing a bit more fitting to this city rather than our normal clothes we wore back in our universe." A little curious Amber asked,
"Wait if you just used Acon's bank account how long will those funds last?" Catching on to what Amber was implying Winter agreed,
"That's true even if you put a high conversion rate it's still only one account." Towa just smirked and said,
"Yes that would be a problem if it wasn't for the simple fact that from my research Acon was already as rich as you're family Winter, now we nearly a 10 times conversion rate I believe we should have no money issues for the foreseeable future. Speaking of Acon how did you accumulate that much in just few years?"
Now while they were rivals Towa didn't spend every waking moment obsessing over Acon like some villains so she was honestly at a loss as to how he gained that much money so quickly. While the others were in various states of shock Mira included. Acon just laughed and scratched the back of his head before answering,
"Well I fought in a lot of tournaments and took a lot of high ranking missions and sold a lot of stuff I found, after that 21 decided to invest it and now I have that, although I never really cared about my money anyways so I didn't even realize I was rich in the first place. But Winter why is it a big deal about your father's company?" Realizing that Acon didn't understand how groundbreaking that was that he had more money than her family she decided to clarify.
"Acon my family's company essentially runs the sale and regulation of dust which is probably the most commonly used resource here in remnant. In doing so alongside the many contracts that we have we've become the richest family in the known world. That you have so much more money now is insane, you could buy out our company a few times over if you really wanted to!" after that statement she quickly composed herself before she could lose any more self control.
Seeing that Acon needed some time to understand the ramifications of this little development Towa decided to continue,
"Now for the next order of business I sent out some Gurus to map out the world when we first joined together and today they have transmitted the results back to me." Amber decided to go and take the reins of the questioning and asked,
"Wait hold the phone, what are Gurus? And how did they even manage to map out the entire world in a few days?" Giving Towa a break Mira decided to answer this one,
"A guru is a small robot used for repairs, maintenance, or even information gathering, they also serve the purpose of recording the time patrols fights and tournaments alongside the scouters and from what our intelligence suggested used to entertain or aid teaching the other patrollers. Given that fact they are capable of moving at extremely high speeds in order to keep up with higher tier fighters like ourselves. " Acon just slapped a palm to his face and mumbled something about those two always knowing to much which caused Mira to smirk a bit at the fact that their intel almost always helped keep Towa and himself a step ahead. Amber just gave a small "oh" and a carry on motion before Towa continued,
"Now from what we could tell nothing really caught our eye except for two different locations, those being what I recently found out is the floating city of Atlas and then this." After she said that a video popped up on the computer screen showing a black castle, or it would be a castle if it didn't look like it was cared straight out of obsidian with no refinement whatsoever really giving it a cliché villain look. But what really caught their attention was when the video zoomed into black pools which were bubbling and crawling out of the pool was a grimm.
Winter widened her eyes at this discovery yet not knowing what the significance of the place was besides the fact that somehow it was spawning grimm. What caught everybody's attention though was Amber's reaction who let out a gasp at a figure that was shown walking out of the castle before the video shut off as the robot finally finished mapping out the castle and moved onto the next location.
"Tha- That's her" Amber stated with a small look of fear in her eyes and she started to shake a bit before she felt a firm hand on her shoulder. Flinching at suddenly being taken out of her thoughts Amber settled down a bit looking at Acon who stepped up to calm her down,
"Hey Amber it's ok, from what I can tell she's the reason why you were in that pod right?" Realizing exactly what kind of pod Amber would have been put into Winter shot up,
"They put you in WHAT!? How dare they! They know the risks of that kind of procedure!" This time it was Towa who stepped in not knowing what all this talk was about a pod.
'I wonder if it's anything like our healing pods' she thought to herself before speaking up,
"Would you like to clarify what kind of pod you are talking about exactly? Don't forget we arrived her later and we didn't realize something major happened before therefore we are unaware of this situation." She said reminding them that Towa and Mira were not there from the start. Taking a deep breath Winter explained,
"Normally this information would be highly classified but given the situation I feel it would be best to inform you of this, especially you Amber given what could have happened. While I may be incorrect I highly doubt it. Yes, those pods were made to preserve someone's state, their primary purpose was to transfer the semblance and abilities of one person to another." After that statement Towa raised an eyebrow while Mira frowned Slightly and even Acon was starting to get angry at what that implied with each of them knowing from experience what someone stealing another's energy could imply for the person.
Meanwhile Maber gasped and put a hand over her mouth before saying,
"What…what would have happened to me?" Winter clenched her fists at that knowing that what she was about to say could have heavy repercussions but couldn't lie to her friend.
"We don't know but from what our research could tell the person having their abilities transferred had a high risk of dying while it is unknown if even the new host could survive the process as this program was still in it's testing stages."
SLAM
Everybody flinched at that sound before turning and seeing a fist imprinted into the table next to where they were standing. Said fist belonging to Acon who was nearly growling at the news Winter just brought up.
"Who the hell do they think they are to play with lives like that. And Winter don't even try to defend them I can tell by your eyes that you hate that process so all that'll come out will just be empty words." Acon said shutting down Winter's rebuttal who was about to give an obligatory defense of Atlas's plans knowing that he was right. Meanwhile Amber just sat in thought before saying,
"I knew the powers would transfer to someone else when I died but to try and force the process it just feels unnatural inside, it's almost like the previous maidens that held the power before me are as disgusted as I am and the power is reacting to that. Winter I need you to look me in the eyes and tell me you don't approve of this kind of thing…please" she said getting quitter towards the end.
Without hesitation Winter ran forward and like she did with her sister grabbed Amber by the shoulders forcing her to look her in the eyes before saying,
"Amber I hated this process and it disgusts me that they even considered throwing your life away like that before you even had a chance to live it. If it were up to me the program would have never existed in the first place." After she said that the computer started flashing causing everyone to stare at it in surprise. Seeing a picture of Acon pop up on screen with fluctuating numbers and graphs next to it Mira decided to ask,
"Towa…what's going on?"
After getting everything to settle down Towa turned around with a hand rubbing her forehead before saying,
"Shit. This is the third point I wanted to get to. From the readings I took of Acon apparently he has two sources of energy. The first being Ki which we all use in some form while the second being magic. And not the kind of magic that Amber uses I checked but magic from our world. The closest thing that I can match it to from the limited resources I have here is to the dragons. Not the dragon balls but the dragons themselves. And not just one of them but all of them including the darker ones. From what I can tell being here in this universe is causing the smaller magical energy which was most likely what remained from what created you, to start to grow instead of gradually fading away like it most likely would have back home." Winter decided to ask,
"Does it growing have to do with those laws of the universe you mentioned previously?" Nodding Towa agreed before saying,
"Yes from what I can tell her magic is the ultimate energy. Due to his makeup Acon's energy is being forced down much more than Mira's or my own with him being an android and myself having god ki giving us less restrictions her but with Acon's natural ki being forced down the magic is quite literally consuming it and the more he uses his ki the faster it'll be consumed. Hence the negative drawbacks every time you transformed even after recovering. Your ki will still recover normally but each time it does a little bit more magic replaces it each time. It's an unstoppable process at the moment and I don't know what the result will be when it's done given that this has never happened before to my knowledge."
Realizing that could mean Acon could quite possibly die everybody got frowns on their faces especially the two remnant natives who quickly befriended the kind Saiyan and knowing that he could die so soon after meeting him hurt them inside. This time it was Mira who clenched his fists and said,
"No. I refuse to watch one such as yourself succumb to this. The most annoying traits of the Saiyan's is that what doesn't kill you quite literally makes you stronger. Given that I demand that you get stronger Acon. I refuse to finally be the last one standing this way." Amber getting a grin also spoke up.
"Acon you saved me, quite literally from what I just found out and we barely started to get to know you. What kind of jerk just saves a lady and dies right after? You won't be alone during this after all we're all here to help you." With Winter nodding in agreement. Acon just stood there in shock for the support before looking at them all with a fiery determination that two in the room were extremely familiar with and for once were happy to see the look in his eyes.
"Right, I won't let this beat me yet. If it means it consumes my Ki than I just have to push past it. I don't know how yet but I won't let this stop me" With that short statement the words were filled with so much conviction that the others could quite literally feel it second hand. Having enough Towa spoke up,
"I said that I didn't know what would happen not that I wouldn't try and stop it. Acon you gave us a second chance so I'll do the same for you, for now try and refrain from using your ki unnecessarily which shouldn't be to much of a problem given your physical capabilities. I would also suggest looking into a weapon here to supplement your handicap just in case, for now I'll try and find a solution to at least stop the process on my end." After hearing that they discussed a few more things and before they wrapped up Acon said,
"I think tomorrow we should go and see Ozpin, something feels off about that castle we saw and I think he has the answers. It doesn't make sense why he would allow complete strangers to stay at his school but now that I'm putting the pieces together with the girl who hurt Amber and Amber being here while the girl being there I have the feeling he knows more than he lets on. What do you all say?"
Surprised at hearing that kind of suggestion come from Acon who didn't seem the strategist type they all agreed quickly before heading off their own ways back to their rooms or training or just relaxing. Although no one could really relax with the discoveries of tonight they tried. Meanwhile Winter prepared herself for her report to the general.

I am so sorry this took so long. I tried to make it longer to make up for the lack of an update please don't hate me! I'm trying to figure out a schedule I can use for my updates while writing these at work. Also what kind of weapon should Acon use I'm open to suggestions!
