Hermione was startled to see Bill and Charlie Weasley walk towards her as if they were in a trance. The sound of her singing must have lured them in from the garden, and as it stopped they regained their senses.

"Hermione, what's going on? What happened?" Charlie asked looking slightly disoriented.

"I think you both better sit down," she suggested as she lead them into living room.

Once the three of them were sitting comfortably, Hermione started telling them about how she was descended from Parthenope; one of the three original sirens.

"Why don't all men react that way when you sing? I remember Ron and Harry saying that you were really good, but they never said that they went into a trance when you did," Bill asked curiously.

This was the part that Hermione was most nervous to explain as she didn't know how the men before her would react.

"The blood has become so diluted that it no longer has the strength to lure men the way it once did. Over the centuries it has adapted and the only ones who react that way are the Siren's mates," she explained.

"Mates?" Charlie asked stunned.

"Yes."

Silence enveloped them for a moment as each of them processed what it meant.

Hermione hoped that at least one of them would accept the bond as she had heard terribles stories about those who had been rejected.

"It's purely up to them if they accept you and the bond. If they do then you will have a love that is true and pure."

"What if they reject it though?" Hermione asked the woman in front of her.

"An initial bond forms automatically when your magic recognises your mate, or mates. Once that has happened you will never love, or be truly happy with anyone else. You will always know that a part of you is missing. Some who have been rejected end up taking their own lives because they can't cope with the pain or loneliness," the older woman explained.

Bill and Charlie were looking at each other having a silent conversation, and Hermione became anxious about what they were going to do.

As if sensing how she was feeling, Charlie got up from his chair and knelt in front of her and took her hand.

"It's okay, Hermione," he said trying to reassure her. "Although this has come as a bit of a shock for us, Bill and I are more than willing to try and make it work."

"You are?" she asked looking into his eyes and then Bill's.

"We are," Bill confirmed.

"I-I can't even...thank you," Hermione said stumbling over her words.

"There's no need to thank us, love," Charlie said before kissing her gently.

Hermione's blood sang as his lips moved against hers, and it felt incredible.

"Move aside little brother. You can't keep her all to yourself," Bill said teasingly.

"If I have to."

Once they swapped places, Bill cupped her cheek and leant in.

His kiss was more demanding than his brothers but Hermione felt the same incredible feeling as she had done with Charlie.

It was a feeling which she never wanted to end.
