This is just a random story I came up with. Let me know what you think about it!
Nope, I don't own anything related to Pokemon. I only own the plot.
Ash Ketchum walked down a dirt road on the outskirts of Viridian City. He was looking down as he walked, seemingly lost in thought. Any person passing him by would believe he was thinking about the upcoming Pokemon League Tournament. But he wasn't, not exactly. He was thinking about the girl that has helped him on the way. He was thinking about her. Misty.
When she had to leave to tend the gym in Cerulean City, Ash was secretly heartbroken. At first it was just because his best friend was leaving. After traveling in the Hoenn region he realized it was even more than that. He was heartbroken because he loved her. He could no longer deny it.
Ash stopped by a small lake that was just a little ways off the road. It was a cool fall day, the wind blowing the leaves around his feet. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and stared out into the lake. It reminded him of her eyes, her beautiful cerulean eyes.
He remembered all the fun times he'd had with her. How beautiful she looked at the festival in Lavender Town, which is one of the few times she had taken her hair out of that ponytail. Ash laughed out loud. He remembered all those times she had hit him with her mallet, and how he never got tired of seeing the annoyed look on her face.
He looked across the lake. There was a big building with statues of pokemon guarding the entrance. Behind the building was the big arena where he would compete for the title of Pokemon Champion. The first time he was in that arena he got in the top 16. This time he was even more determined to win it all. He would have to. Then she would come back to him again.
He decided to sit under a shady tree and watch the pokemon in the lake. A few Magikarp were swimming by with a group of Tentacruel. Her favorite pokemon of all. She loves them and says they are beautiful, why she thinks that Ash will never know. Why couldn't she see him that way? Why is all she sees in me is an immature kid that has a big dream?
"Ash!" a voice interrupted his train of thought. A familiar voice…could it be? Her voice? He looked the way the voice came from and saw her. His angel was running toward him, a big smile plastered on her face. He got up as she ran over to him and embraced him.
"Your mom told me you would be out here. I came to watch you in the Pokemon League!" Misty said all at once, excitement written all over her face.
"It's great to see you, Mist! I'm glad you're here!" that was all he could manage to say to her. Ash could feel the heat gradually rising to his face, but Misty was still hugging him.
"Oh, sorry." She let go. "It's so great to see you! You've actually gotten taller since the last time we met." She laughed. He now stood about two inches taller than she did.
"Yeah…" he mumbled. Should he tell her how he felt now? Would she feel the same way?
She could see that he was lost in thought. "What's up, Ash? You're never this quiet." She said.
"I just wanted to tell you…" his mind was racing "My mom made some apple pie! Let's go get a slice!" he said quickly as he grabbed her hand and ran down the road.
'Oh well, I can tell him/her later.' They both thought as they ran to Ash's house hand in hand.
