Chipped Omega

Hello, everyone. This prompt was suggested by Celtic maiden 14. This prompt takes place in Aftermath but instead of Crosshair being chipped its Omega. Enjoy.

The brothers paced around their cell watching the guards.

"We need to get out of here and find the kid," Hunter stated.

"We have to create a diversion." Echo sighed.

"Hunter, remember what we did on Naboo when we were captured?" Tech wondered.

"The stunt that cost me my sanity? Yeah, I remember. Boys, you know what to do." Hunter replied.

Hunter walked up to the force field and touch it causing it to vibrate and it wasn't long before Hunter felt his senses cave. He fell to his knees and cried out in pain.

"Hunter, what is it?" Tech wondered as he rushed over to Hunter. The guards looked and walked over.

"What's going on?" The clone questioned.

"He needs medical attention now. He's burning up and he's having a migraine. His senses are overloading and if they continue, he will convulse."

"Let down the force field and help me take him to the infirmary."

The clones let down the force field and tried to help, but Crosshair, Wrecker, and Echo stopped them and knocked them out. They grabbed the clones' weapons and they looked at Hunter who groaned and stood up shakily.

"Next time, let Crosshair being the bait," Hunter stated.

"Where now, Sarge?" Wrecker asked.

"We need to find Omega and our armor."

"I saw them taking crates to the landing bay." Echo replied.

"We'll get our armor first, then we'll find Omega," Hunter said. They snuck through the base to the landing bay and found their armor. They quickly suited up and kept an eye out. "Tech, you stay and get the ship ready. The rest of us will search for Omega."

Tech rushed to the ship just as the doors opened. The boys hid but came out of hiding when Omega walked in.

"I've been looking for you everywhere," Omega said.

"Yeah, so have we. You were right, kid. This place isn't safe. We've come to get you out of here." Hunter answered. Omega walked closer and then stopped. She held up a pistol to HUnter and HUnter gasped.

"You are in violation of order 66. You are traitors to the Empire. You are to be executed."

"Kid put the gun down. This isn't you. Tech, what's going on?"

Tech looked at his datapad while Hunter kept Omega focused on him.

"I'm afraid they activated her inhibitor chip," Tech said.

"Can we get it out of her?" Hunter questioned.

"I'm not sure. Perhaps."

Hunter looked and saw Crosshair raise his pistol. He fired it before Omega could even turn around. Omega was immediately stunned and she passed out and fell into Hunter's arms.

"We need to get this chip out of her head," Hunter stated. They heard the alarms and they rushed onto the ship. Wrecker saw his Lula and he placed it on Omega. When they were inside the ship, Tech took off and they flew away. Hunter laid Omega down on the bunk and he covered her in a blanket. "Is there anything we can do?"

"Not until we figure out how to remove the chip," Tech answered. "Until then, we'll have to sedate her."

"Is there anyone we can contact?"

"I'm sending out a broadcast on a secure channel. We'll know soon enough."

The brothers sat and watched Omega sleep. Crosshair grabbed handcuffs and handcuffed Omega's hands to the nearest pipe.

"Crosshair, what are you doing? SHe's just a kid." HUnter questioned.

"We can't keep her sedated forever. If she wakes, it wouldn't take much for her to grab a weapon and kill all of us. This is for her safety and ours." Crosshair explained.

"She's just a kid."

"Not to the EMpire. To them, she's a weapon that we can't resist. I don't want to do this, but we have to."

"I know."

HUnter ran his fingers through Omega's hands and he felt a cut. he removed her headpiece and moved her head away from the wound.

"Tech, could this be where the chip is?" HUnter questioned.

"Most likely, but we have no idea how deep this chip could be," Tech replied.

"This is recent. Less than a rotation. The poor kid."

A few hours later, Omega whimpered and fought against her restraints. Hunter wasn't sure what to do. He tried to comfort Omega, but she fought him.

"NO! Let go of me! Let me go!" Omega screamed. Hunter eventually gave up and he looked away. When Omega relaxed, she looked around. "Where am I? Why am I handcuffed?"

"You're not yourself. We're gonna take care of you, but we don't want you getting hurt or hurting us." Hunter replied calmly.

"There's nothing wrong with me. Let me go."

"I'm sorry. The Empire is using you. They put a chip inside your head. We have to stop it."

"You're liars. You're traitors to the EMpire. You will be executed."

HUnter touched Omega's head and she turned and bit his hand. Hunter cried out in pain but didn't move his hand. Instead, he used his other one and grabbed Omega's hand. He placed it on the wound and watched as Omega felt it.

"It's a rotation old. That's when they put the chip inside you. I'm sorry, kid."

Omega quieted and released Hunter's hand. The console beeped and Tech rushed over.

"We got an answer. It's from an old friend. It doesn't say who just that we should meet them on Bracca as soon as possible." Tech stated. "Tell Echo to thank Fives."

Echo's eyes widened and he looked to Hunter.

"What did Fives do?" Hunter wondered.

"I don't know." Echo replied. "But this does limit the possibility of who this could be."

"Tech set a course."

"Already done," Tech answered.

"What if this is a trap?" Crosshair questioned.

"We'll prepare for that possibility, but we have the kid to worry about." Hunter sighed.

Wrecker walked over to Omega and looked at her sadly.

"I'm sorry, kid." Wrecker apologized. "But soon we'll make you better and we'll show you the whole galaxy. You'll be one of us. You'll like that."

Omega didn't answer and it made Wrecker very sad. Wrecker looked to his brothers and they looked back at him sadly.

It wasn't long before they reached Bracca. When they arrived, they checked to see if it was a trap and found that it was safe. They landed and Hunter uncuffed Omega and handcuffed her to himself and to Echo. Omega huffed and struggled, but eventually, she started walking. They walked a short way till they came up to a ship.

"It was the first off its line. I had my chip removed on a similar ship." A voice sighed. The batch looked and smiled at the clone. He removed his helmet and the batchers smiled, even more, when they saw that it was Rex. "It's been a while, boys." Rex knelt in front of Omega and looked her in the eyes. "This must be Omega. I've never seen a clone like you before."

"You're a generation one." Omega scoffed.

"How did you know that?"

"The lines on your face."

"Yeah, I guess I've been around. Come on, let's get these chips out of all of you."

They walked into the ship and soon found a medical bay. Tech, Crosshair, and Rex checked the equipment and then Tech handed Hunter a sedative.

"This bay is fully functional. We'll find the chip and remove it soon." Tech explained. Hunter knelt beside Omega and gave her the sedative. Omega looked at him angrily and then passed out and fell into Hunter's arms. Hunter uncuffed Echo and Omega and carried Omega over to the table. He laid her down and uncuffed her from him. Hunter nodded to Tech and he started the procedure. It wasn't long before the chip was found and removed safely. The brothers and Rex sat around and waited for Omega to wake up. Hunter and Wrecker sat by Omega's side and watched her carefully. Wrecker eventually fell asleep, but Hunter didn't even budge. Every move Omega made caused him to jump.

A few hours later, Omega woke up and looked around. She saw Hunter and she was confused.

"Hunter?" Omega wondered. Hunter moved closely and patted Omega's shoulder.

"You're fine, kid. We removed the chip. You're safe." Hunter answered.

"I don't remember."

"You will," Rex stated. "Who's next? The rest of you need your chips removed before the EMpire does something about it."

Hunter picked Omega up and she wrapped her arms around his neck. Hunter was stunned but then he hugged her back.

"I'll go next," Hunter suggested.

"No, don't leave me, please," Omega begged.

"I'll go." Crosshair sighed. He looked at Hunter and Hunter nodded. Crosshair laid on the table and the procedure began. Hunter felt Omega grow heavy and he saw that she was asleep. Hunter paced around the room as he held Omega in his arms.

A few hours later, Crosshair was done and was awake. Wrecker went next and Hunter sat down with Omega. Echo grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around Omega's shoulders.

"What are we gonna do with her? What are we gonna do?" Echo questioned. "We can't work for the Empire. The republic's gone. We're soldiers."

"I don't know, Echo. All I know is that she needs us. She needs a family that cares. Besides, we've been fighting for so long for what? FOr this? We need to figure out who's side we're on." Hunter explained.

"But where will we go?" Crosshair asked.

"We'll lay low for a while. It's been a long time since we've had a break from war. Besides, the kid needs someplace to recover. We all do. We'll go someplace quiet and safe."

Omega started whimpering and thrashing and she started fighting against Hunter.

"No! Stop! I don't want to shoot. Hunter, I can't... I'm sorry. Wrecker? Tech? Echo? Crosshair? What's going on? Why... Why am I handcuffed? Where are we? Why does it hurt? My head." Omega cried. Hunter hushed Omega and moved her so she was fully sitting on his lap.

"Omega, you're ok. You're safe. It's us." Hunter reassured. Omega opened her eyes and she looked up at Hunter tearfully. Hunter gently grabbed Omega's shoulders and Omega relaxed. "Do you remember?"

Omega nodded and started crying.

"I'm sorry. I didn't want to..." Omega trailed off and Echo placed a hand on Omega's back.

"You didn't want this to happen. You were not in control. They placed a chip in all of us. When they saw how effective it was in us, they placed one in you. They used you as a weapon." Echo replied.

The machines stopped and they all looked at Wrecker.

"Is he alright?" Omega wondered.

"Yeah, he will be, kid," Rex replied. Omega rested her head on Hunter's shoulder and sighed. A few minutes later, Wrecker woke up groaning and moaning.

"Hey, kid." Wrecker groaned.

"Hi," Omega mumbled.

Echo and Tech had their chips removed and during that time, everyone tried to rest. When they were done, Tech looked to Hunter.

"Omega, I'm gonna give you to Wrecker. I have to have my chip removed but as soon as I'm done, you can stay with me as long as you need." Hunter explained.

"Are you going to send me away?" Omega wondered. Hunter looked at her sadly and then looked at his brothers.

"No, kid. We're not gonna send you away."

"Sorry, kid, but you're stuck with us." Crosshair sneered. Omega smiled and ran up to Crosshair who sat on the other side of the room. She threw herself into Crosshair's arms and he groaned but placed his hands gently on her back.

Hunter had his chip removed and the Bad Batch said goodbye to Rex.

"Where to now?" Wrecker wondered.

"SOmeplace safe where we can lie low and recover," Hunter replied.

"Sounds good to me."

"Good."

"I've found a suitable planet but it's a few days away," Tech explained. Omega looked up at Hunter and he held his hand out to the co-pilot's chair. Omega sat down and Hunter smiled.

"Plot a course, Tech," Hunter stated. Tech did as he was told and Omega watched him. She watched in awe as they entered hyperspace and she hoped that they would stay far away from this Empire and the Kaminoans.
