Catching Up
Hello, everyone. Sorry for the wait. Please be patient as I work between this group of stories and my other story. This prompt was suggested by Generic Ficer.
The bad batch arrived on Ryloth just outside the city. They had been sent to give Eleni Syndulla valuable information face to face. When they left their ship, they saw Elenia and Hera waiting. The batchers removed their helmets and Hera gasped when she saw Omega.
"Omega, you have your own armor." Hera gasped.
"YOu like it?" Omega wondered.
"It suits you."
"Thanks."
"When did you get it?"
"Well, after we got our brother Crosshair back, we were sent on a mission and I was shot."
"What?"
"Yeah. Hunter said I almost died. That's when they decided to get me this armor. I spent a couple of days designing it and painting it. I have a little bit of all my brothers on it. It's light like Tech's, but I still have the markings. I have a red stripe alongside my helmet and a skull tattoo on the left side like Hunter's face. I have a Crosshair on the right eye. Just like Crosshair. On the right side of my breastplate is a handprint like Echo used to have. The other side has Wrecker's toy, Lula. The bottom half of my armor is like my shirt and I have a 99 marking on my left shoulderpad."
"That's amazing. Where were you shot?"
Omega removed her armor and lifted up her shirt to show Hera the scar.
"That looks bad. I imagine it hurt." Hera gasped.
"It hurt a lot, but I'm fine now," Omega replied.
"Does the scar hurt?"
"Sometimes. Tech and Hunter said it's normal for wounds like this. But I'm fine."
Omega put her armor back on and looked at her brothers.
"Have you done any flying?" Omega wondered.
"Some. I've had more chances too." Hera answered. "What about you?"
"I've had a few chances to fly. I like it. But we've been spending a lot of time training. Look what I can do."
Omega pulled out her vibro blade and did a trick that Hunter often did.
"Wow, how did you do that?" Hera wondered.
"It's not hard. I can show you." Omega answered. Omega handed Hera her spare blade and she showed Hera how to move her blade between her fingers. It wasn't long before Hera was able to do the trick and the girls giggled.
"You're doing it." Omega cheered.
Eleni and the brothers looked at the girls and walked over.
"Look, I can do it." Hera giggled.
"I see that, Hera," Eleni replied. "I'm afraid we must go before someone suspects us."
"So do we, Omega." Hunter sighed.
Hera handed Omega the blade but Omega held up her hand and shook her head.
"Keep it. I have others." Omega said.
"Thank you, Omega." Hera thanked. The girls hugged and looked at each other sadly.
"I hope we'll see each other again soon."
"SO do I."
Omega followed her brothers while Hera followed her mother. Their time together was brief, but good.
