Where Has The Time Gone

Hello, everyone. This prompt was suggested by The Generic Ficer. ENjoy.

The batch landed on a planet that was safe from the Empire. They could see a family waiting for them. When they landed, Omega rushed out laughing.

"Jek, Shaeeah!" Omega exclaimed.

"Omega!" The two gasped. The three hugged and Omega showed them her armor and her scar.

Hunter walked up to CUt and they shook hands.

"She's growing up." Cut chuckled.

"She's not the only one. I hope you're ready to ward of the local boys." Hunter answered.

"DOn't have to. She's like her mother."

"Oh, I see."

Everyone went inside and sat around. Hunter explained everything leading up to Kamino and he sighed.

"The Empire destroyed Kamino," Hunter said.

"What?" CUt questioned.

"It's been a year. I still find it hard to believe."

"Does Rex know?"

"Yeah, he knows. He's angry so are the other clones that he's saved."

"After Kamino, Crosshair went his way and we went ours. I felt guilty and we rescued him and removed his chip. We settled down for a while to recover. Now, we're fighting against the Empire." Hunter explained. Cut looked at Omega who was playing with Jek and Shaeeah.

"When did you get her armor?"Cut asked.

"While we were on a mission, Crosshair, Omega, and I were separated. She was injured when that happened. Then as we were trying to get to the ship, she was hit in the side. She... she was losing so much blood. I thought... For a while, I thought she was gonna die. When we found out that she was gonna be ok, we got her armor and promised that we would train her."

"Hunter, I remember how rough my training was. I can't imagine what your's was like. A word of advice, take it one step at a time and be patient with her. Encourage her to try her best, but don't expect her to perfect everything you teach her. And don't be afraid to change it up a little. People learn in different ways. What worked for us, may not work for her."

"Thank you, CUt. So, what happened to you guys while we were gone?" Hunter wondered.

"After we left Saleucami, We came here. It's safe here. We're free here." CUt explained. "It's been nice living here. The kids have friends. We don't have to worry."

"Dad, Omega told us that she's gonna start training soon." Jek interrupted.

"I heard."

"HUnter, can we start now?" Omega wondered. She looked at Hunter who quickly looked away, but then looked back. He groaned and shook his head.

"Fine." Hunter sighed.

Everyone walked outside and Omega followed Hunter. Everyone watched as Hunter showed Omega some basic hand-to-hand combat moves. It didn't take Omega long to pick up on them and soon, she was fighting Hunter.

"Can we try?" Jek wondered.

"Only if Hunter's ok with it." Cut chuckled. Jek and Shaeeah ran over to Hunter smiling.

"Can you show us?" Shaeeah asked.

"What do your parents say?" Hunter wondered.

"They're ok with it. Please, Uncle Hunter." Jek begged.

"Ok."

Hunter showed the two what he showed Omega and they too picked it up quickly. When Hunter was content, Crosshair grabbed his targets and some weapons. He showed the kids how to handle every and all weapons. He helped Omega with her stance and when Omega fired, she hit her mark. Cut walked over and he helped Jek and Shaeeah with their rifles. When the kids were able to eat their targets perfectly without help, Crosshair moved them farther away. When Crosshair was content with their progress, they walked over to Wrecker who taught them all about explosives. Then they walked over to Tech who taught them all about anything technology. Then Echo taught them about strategy.

That evening after supper, Hunter looked down in his arms and saw that Omega was asleep. He looked over at CUt and Suu and saw Jek and Shaeeah sleeping as well.

"The children are worn out, but they enjoyed today," Suu whispered.

"Yes, they did." Cut agreed.

They heard a loud snore and Hunter rolled his eyes.

"Even Wrecker's tired." Hunter sighed.

"We should probably get these little ones to bed. We'll see you in the morning." CUt suggested. Hunter got up and nodded to Crosshair who woke Wrecker. The batch walked back to their ship and got a goodnight's sleep. In the morning, they had breakfast and said goodbye. Their time with CUt and Suu was good and they all promised to meet again someday soon.
