Routine

Hello, everyone. this prompt was suggested by Kondoru. Enjoy.

The batch had arrived back on Ord Mantell. Cid knew it had been a rough mission when she looked at the batch. They were all covered in mud and ash and they were obviously exhausted.

"Here's your pay and a little extra. You know the drill. The refresher's upstairs and I'll get you some clean towels. All of you stink and I don't want you scaring off any of my paying customers again. Then you guys can have some drinks on the house. Then you can use the guest room to crash for a few days." Cid suggested. The batch were obviously too exhausted to understand what Cid was saying. "Hey, Bandana, go take a shower. Now." Cid pushed Hunter out the door and he groaned.

"Can't it wait?" Hunter wondered sleepily.

"Nope. You stink and you're dripping mud everywhere. Now, go. Googles, go back to your ship and get your clean clothes. And you're not leaving this room till you've taken a shower and cleaned your armor. Put your dirty clothes in the basket and they can be washed when you're all done."

Hunter walked upstairs and the others sat on the floor in a pile and tried to sleep. Cid shook her head and rolled her eyes. She tapped Tech who looked up at her.

"I know you heard me. Go get your clothes. Bandana's gonna need something to change into." Cid stated. Tech groaned and did as he was told. Cid looked down at Omega who was already asleep in Crosshair's arms. Cid had to admit that the kid grew on her. In fact, all of them had, but Omega was special. One look at her and you wanted to spend the rest of your life doing all you could to protect her.

30 minutes later, Cid heard Tech walk in and go upstairs to the refresher. Several minutes later, she saw Hunter walk back down sleepily. He walked into Cid's office almost joined the pile when Cid kicked his ankle. Hunter remembered that he was clean and he groaned.

"Hey, Muscles, you're next," Cid stated. Wrecker groaned and murmured. "The kid will be after him. Then you Toothpick."

Crosshair lazily saluted and Cid rolled her eyes. Cid kicked Hunter who looked up at her sleepily.

"Bed's upstairs, dark and broody," Cid stated.

"Nope, I'm good here," Hunter murmured.

"Suit yourself."

Cid left the room and rolled her eyes. This wasn't the first time she'd had to care for the batch like this. She knew it wouldn't be the last. In fact, this was becoming more and more normal and with each time, Cid felt herself growing more and more soft for this group of clones not that she'd ever admit it.

Nearly an hour later, Cid saw Crosshair carrying Omega upstairs. She smiled when she saw that Omega was still asleep. She walked into her office and saw that Wrecker, Hunter, and Tech were awake, but just barely.

"I'd ask if you three wanted anything, but I know the answer. Did you clean your armor?" Cid questioned.

"We cleaned them. We put them in the room." Tech answered.

"Good."

Cid left the room and opened the bar. When Omega walked out, Cid could see that she was now awake and ready to go. She watched Omega run into the room and she watched Echo walk upstairs. Omega walked out a minute later and looked around at all the people in the bar. Her curiosity was getting the better and with all of her brothers too exhausted to watch her, it meant she could do some exploring. Cid chuckled and pointed to the Dejarik table. Omega smiled and sat down and played a few games. Each time, she won earning herself some cash. Cid knew Hunter and the others didn't approve, but what they didn't know wouldn't hurt them.

Several minutes later, Crosshair walked downstairs to Cid's office and Cid watched Echo walk upstairs. A minute later, Crosshair came out and sat at the bar. Cid poured him a drink and Crosshair watched Omega play. He chuckled each round she won.

"Kid's good. She has a pretty hefty chunk of money set aside for herself." Cid stated.

"Hunter told her to keep that money for herself. Two more rounds and then she should quit." Crosshair answered. Cid chuckled and nodded. Cid watched Omega and shook her head. Kids deserved a good home and a good family. They don't deserve to be living on the run having to suffer day after day. And no kid deserves to go through what Omega had been through. Even Cid could admit that. She knew the batch was good to Omega and she knew they wanted better, but at the moment, they had to get what they could and run.

Two rounds later, Crosshair walked over to Omega and Omega grabbed her credits and followed Crosshair to Cid's office. Shortly after, Echo walked in and Cid knew that the batch was probably passed out on her floor. When Cid had a chance, she walked in and kicked Wrecker's leg.

"Ow, that really hurt." Wrecker exclaimed.

"Bed's upstairs, boys. Come on." Cid stated. The batch groaned and sleepily stood up and followed Cid upstairs. Cid opened the door to their room and watched the batch sleepily walk in and crash together on the large bed. It wasn't long before they were all sleeping comfortably. Cid smiled at Omega who was curled up in Hunter's arms. She wasn't asleep, but it was obvious that she was content where she was at. Cid walked back downstairs and worked the bar till it was time to close. She looked at the time and sighed. She ordered food and walked upstairs and walked into the bedroom. Everyone but Hunter, Crosshair, and Omega were awake.

"I'm starving." Wrecker groaned.

"We all are, but none of us could stay awake long enough to eat." Echo answered. "Taking showers and cleaning our armor was bad enough."

"Food will be here soon. Caf's downstairs. Better wake those three." Cid stated.

"Uh, I think I'd rather starve to death." Wrecker admitted. Wrecker looked at Echo who shook his head.

"NO. Last time I woke those three up, I almost died." Echo replied. They looked at Tech who looked up at them from his datapad. Tech rolled his eyes and looked at his recordings. He played one and the three sleepyheads jumped up growling and fussing.

"Food's coming soon," Cid said.

"Tech, do that again and your datapad's gonna burn," Hunter warned.

"Next time, don't go back to sleep," Tech answered.

Cid watched the brothers banter back and forth and she chuckled. She looked at Omega who was trying to bury her face in Echo's shoulder. Cid watched as Echo did his best to carry her and comfort her. Cid had noticed a while ago just how attached Omega was to her brothers and how attached they were to her. She smiled whenever she saw Omega being held by a brother.

The food arrived and the batch walked downstairs and enjoyed a good hearty and hot meal. Afterward, Cid watched them sit in a booth and play a few games before deciding to just sit silently and enjoy each other's company. Cid yawned and locked up and went to bed knowing that the batch would probably keep the place safe while she slept.

Over the next few days, the batch recovered from their mission and Cid was sorry to send them on another mission, but she knew it had to be done. But as long as they worked for her, she'd at least get to watch this family grow and survive together and she gets her best Dejarik player.
