Jedi

Omega sleepily watched her brothers sit around the cockpit talking.
"We would have made it out of that mission a lot better if we had a Jedi to help." Echo chuckled.
"If you find a Jedi, let me know. Most of them are dead." Tech replied.
"Hunter, what was it like working with the Jedi?" Omega wondered.
"Well, we were never assigned a Jedi. We only worked with the Jedi a few times. But when Echo was with the 501st, he worked with a lot of Jedi. Maybe he can tell you stories." Hunter explained.
"Will you Echo?" Omega asked.
"Sure. IF you want." Echo replied.
"What was it like working with them? Were they nice?"
"Most of them were, but some were not. If Rex was here, he could tell a few stories. Like the others, I knew general Shaak Ti. She was in charge of the clones' training and she was a good Jedi. She was calm, kind, and gentle, but when the kaminoan were involved, she could be very protective of us. When I was with the 501st, we had a Jedi general and commander. General Anakin Skywalker and his padawan commander Ahsoka Tano. Sometimes, we work with General Obi-wan Kenobi. Well, it was never a dull moment working with Skywalker and Tano. One mission, we had to infiltrate a Separatist outpost. Problem is, we had this chasm that we had to get across and no jetpacks. The next thing we know, Rex yelps like a kid and we see him getting thrown across the chasm. Then, Fives and I felt ourselves being thrown across. That was not ideal. We all made it across safely and we successes in our mission." Echo recalled.
"What about when you were not fighting? What about when you were waiting for your next mission?" Omega wondered. Echo chuckled and shook his head.
"Well, that's when you have to watch out for General Skywalker. Give him a chance and he'll prank ya. Thing is, he'd prank Tano and she'd get him for it in a hurry. Sometimes, he'd go after Fivesd and Jesse and that would cause a full-scale prank war."
"Rex told me about some of them."
"Well, he probably didn't tell you about the time Anakin pranked Fives on Life day. He gave us all treats. Well, he had switched Fives out for some herbs and they were not nice tasting either. One bite and Fives was rushing to the refresher."
"That doesn't sound good."
"Well, the next day, Fives pranked Anakin by lacing the sugar with a laxative. Fives warned everyone, but Anakin. Anakin sat down for breakfast with the rest of us and of course, he dumps a boatload of sugar in his caf and he drowns it in one sip. 30 minutes later, he was in the middle of a meeting when... well, let's just say it wasn't pretty, but a lot of people knew that Anakin had been pranking people in his free time so, they all felt he had this coming. That made Anakin calm down for a while. Another time, Anakin tried to prank Kenobi, but it backfired and he ended up pranking Ahsoka. Well, Ahsoka thought he was pranking her and she got him good. I can't remember what she did, but she got him good."
"DO you miss working with the Jedi?" Omega wondered.
"Of course I do. They were like family. We know that the Empire turned us against them, not the other way around. I just wondering how many Jedi did survive other than the padawan we met on Kaller." Echo sighed. "It's unlikely, but I hope one day you'll get the chance to work with a Jedi. The Jedi were fun to watch, but they were good at what they did. They knew how to use the force for good. I can't imagine one using it for bad."
"I don't think I want to hear about those people."
"Anakin talked about them once. They're called the sith. He said that the sith were behind the war or at least that's what most of the Jedi believed. I never encounter them, but there were a few that we all knew of. Ventress and Dooku. Ventress eventually manipulated a Jedi named Quinlan Vos into joining the dark side. He fell in love with her and when she turned neutral, the Jedi order accepted him and helped him. We worked with him once. I thought these boys working with Kenobi and Skywalker were reckless, but when working with Quinlan Vos, it makes every mission seem like child's play."
Echo talked for a while longer and everyone listened to his many tales about the Jedi. It wasn't long before Echo looked and saw that Omega was asleep. He knew her dreams would be filled with the Jedi, but he hoped that they would be good dreams.
