Mom

Hello, everyone. This prompt was suggested by The Generic Ficer. Enjoy.

Shaak Ti walked down the halls of the facility. She saw Hunter and his brothers and she smiled as they waved and smiled at her.

"Where are you boys off to?" Shaak Ti wondered.

"We have training," Hunter replied.

"And then we have tests." Crosshair scoffed.

"Behave and there might be something special waiting for you in your room." Shaak Ti warned. The boys smiled and rushed off to training. Shaak Ti smiled and she saw a clone run down a hall.

"Excuse me." Shaak Ti wondered as she rushed after the clone. "What is wrong?" Shaak Ti managed to get a hold of the child who gasped and fought.

"Let me go. Let me go." The clone exclaimed.

"I do not want to hurt you. What is your name?"

"It doesn't matter. Let me go. I have to get out of here."

"Why? Are you being hurt?"

The clone stopped fighting and Shaak Ti set the clone down and looked in their face and she gasped. This clone looked like the others, but not a boy. This clone was a little girl.

"WHat's your name?" Shaak Ti wondered as she smiled softly.

"Omega," Omega murmured.

"Omega, my name is Shaak Ti. I won't hurt you. Why do you want to run away? Are the Kaminoans hurting you?"

"Yes. Please, I want to be with my brothers."

"Who are your brothers?"

"Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, and Crosshair."

"They're in training right now. Have the Kaminoans been performing tests on you?"

"Yes. I'm always strapped to a table and they're constantly hooking me up to their machines and testing me. They won't stop. I ask them to, but they give me a hypo and they numb me so I can't fight. Please, let me go to my brothers."

"Omega, come with me now." Nala Se ordered. Shaak Ti stood up and pulled Omega close.

"What are you doing to this child?" Shaak Ti questioned.

"She is Kaminoan property, not Rebuplic. You have no say."

"She's is more than just property and you are hurting her. She is an innocent child. I will report this to the council."

"DO and you will only make suffer and that of her brothers' worse. I can promise you that."

"But they do not deserve any of this. They are hurting inside and on the outside. I will not report this to the council only if you promise to lessen your testing of the clones. Surely, you do not need to test all of them heavily each and every day."

"Perhaps, that can be arranged."

Nala Se thought for a moment and sighed.

"We have a deal." Nala Se stated. "Come along, Omega."

Omega looked up at Shaak Ti sadly.

"I will find a way to get you to your brothers, but I have to be very discreet for all of your sakes. Be strong, Omega. Perhaps, I can sneak some things to you." Shaak Ti said.

"Thank you for helping me," Omega replied.

"I wish I could have done more."

"But you have. You couldn't get me away so you made it easier on me."

"Tell me if she continues at the same pace."

"I will."

Shaak Ti watched Omega walk away and she sighed. She walked out to one of the hangars and saw Plo Koon walking towards her.

"Master Plo, did you acquire my items?" Shaak Ti wondered.

"With little trouble, I might add. Although, I had to bribe some of my pack so that they would not tell." Plo replied.

"Between us, I'm sure quite a few clones have had an easier time fighting this war."

"Indeed."

Plo handed Shaak Ti her items and Shaak Ti walked back into the facility. She went to the bad batch's squad room and put some treats on each of their beds. Then she searched for Omega's room and saw that she wasn't there. Shaak Ti snuck in and placed some treats under Omega's pillow. She left the room and watched as Omega walked in and sat on her bed. She felt the treats under her pillow and she pulled them out with a smile. She looked and saw Shaak Ti in her window and she smiled and waved. She mouthed a thank you and Shaak Ti nodded. Shaak Ti walked away and sometime later, she watched the boys rush back to their squad room and she listen to them cheer when they saw their treats.

Over the next several months, Shaak Ti kept an eye on Omega and made sure she was safe. Whenever she could, she would either sit and talk with Omega or she would give Omega a treat. Nala Se did not like this but noticed that Omega was more productive when she was spoiled. Shaak Ti would tell Omega stories about her brothers and how they were doing and Omega would listen hoping that one day, she'd be able to meet them.

"How have the tests been going?" Shaak Ti wondered.

"Better thanks to you. ANd I really like the treats you've been giving me. I feel better when I see them." Omega replied.

"Good. If I could, I would take you away from here. I would take all of you clones off Kamino, but... with this war, I can't."

"I know. DO you think the war will be over soon?"

"I do not know. Sometimes, I think it will be over soon and then sometimes, I think that it has only just begun. Your brothers have finished their training. They're now a squad and even now, they are on their first assignment."

"I wish I could be with them."

"It is not a good life, Omega. It isn't a life I would wish on anyone."

"I know."

A few days later, Kamino was attacked and 99 died. After dealing with the bad batch, Shaak Ti checked on Omega and found her in her room crying.

"Is it true? Is 99 gone?" Omega wondered.

"Yes, he is." Shaak Ti replied.

"He was always good to me. He would give me some of Hunter's old drawings."

"He was a good man and a good soldier. Your brothers have named their squad after him. CLone Force 99."

"How are my brothers?"

"They are heartbroken like you, but they'll be fine. And so will you."

Omega nodded sadly.

When Omega heard rumors of the war coming to an end, she would wait for Shaak Ti to return, but she never did, but she did get the chance to meet her brothers. A few months later, Tech had found reports on all the deceased Jedi and clones. When they saw Shaak Ti's name on the list, they all grieved hard especially Omega. They found themselves on a nice planet where they could get supplies. They saw some of their favorite treats that Shaak Ti would sneak to them, and they bought some. They remembered Shaak Ti for the kind and compassionate woman that she was and for the stern, patient, and calm Jedi that she was. It wasn't till a few years later, that Omega had found a word to describe Shaak Ti. It seemed perfect for her. Mom. Omega would always see Shaak Ti as her first mom.
