Drowning

Hello, everyone. This prompt was suggested by the Generic Ficer. ENjoy.

Crosshair looked around and saw that Omega was unconscious and out of his reach. He looked and saw that he was back in that hall and it was filling up with water quickly. He couldn't push the debris off him and as the water reached over his chin, he became afraid.

"No. No, get me out of here. Someone get me out of here." Crosshair exclaimed. The water was up to his ears and soon, he was underwater. Crosshair tried to push the debris off of him but it didn't work. The next thing he saw was darkness.

Crosshair gasped and sat up. He looked around and saw his squad members staring at him in confusion. Crosshair sneered and walked out of the room. He walked down the halls of the base trying to calm his nerves, but every time he closed his eyes, he saw himself drowning.

The next night, Crosshair rolled onto his side and manage to fall asleep, but it wasn't peaceful.

He was back on Bracca. He was watching his brothers from his spot when the ion engine turned on and the protection where his siblings were hiding broke off. The radiation blasted Crosshair back burning him alive, but Crosshair couldn't see his comm. It was gone.

"Turn it off! Turn it off!" Crosshair exclaimed. All he felt was burning as his eyes closed and he took his last breath.

Crosshair woke up and gasped. He saw that the others had woken up but didn't care. This caused Crosshair to huff and roll onto his side in order to self-comfort himself. He felt truly alone. A feeling he was growing used to, but it still pained him. He wished his brothers were there to comfort him.

Crosshair looked around and saw that he was back on Kamino trapped with AZI and Omega. Once again, Omega was out of reach and unconscious. Crosshair tried to reach Omega, but he couldn't. As the water reached Omega's head, he could see why Omega was unconscious. Blood flowed from her wounds mixing with the ice-cold water. Crosshair felt the water reach his neck and he saw Omega's bow. He tried to reach it only to cry out in pain as his leg snapped. Crosshair tried to cry out and warn his brothers, but his mouth filled with water which he could not cough up.

Crosshair woke and felt hands on his arms holding them down.

"Crosshair, it's us. It's just us. You're safe. Just relax." Hunter whispered. Crosshair opened his eyes and looked around to see his brothers and sister watching him in concern. Crosshair gasped and relaxed at the sight. "You ok?"

Crosshair nodded and swallowed the lump in his throat.

"I am now." Crosshair murmured as his eyes grew heavy. He was safe. His family was here and he was safe and away from the Empire. They were safe and together. He had drowned and he didn't burn to death. He was still alive to give his brothers grieve.
