Disclaimer: This Fanfic Show will contain 10 Chapters only and may not be actual canon OR nearly as loyal to the games as well as the show. This is a continuation of Pokémon Edventure Series, seperate from the Pokémon Edventures Reboot Series, including Unova and Sinnoh. Non Canon characters such as Ali, Alison, Raven, Danny, and even more can come back, but only at a preserved choice. Furthermore, this series expands and experiments the mechanics of the game of what Pokémon has the full potential of running since its 3DS Days and even up to the Nintendo Switch Era. HOWEVER, this does not guarantee returning mechanics such as Evolvo Evolution, Johnololan Forms, Fusion Attacks, Non Canon Pokémon and possibly more I may have invented in the past, but it does contain some new ones that could've been in Sword and Shield to explain more and add more fun. And I promise, this will be a fun Edventure, nonetheless. Your Crossover Doctor, The Afterdreamer.
(Chapter 1: My Edvenjourney Begins)
[Postwick School: The Ed Boys]
"So what brought you here?" Asked Eddy.
"First, I got contacted for a meeting here in some location I never heard about," Replied Double Dee. "And the next thing I know is that I'm here with my best friends here in Galar instead of Oxford."
"I see monsters everywhere, Eddy." Ed's eyes dilated from each other as he lifted his finger. "I love sheep! But you know what I like more than sheep? Chickens!"
"Right…" Eddy rolled his eyes and looked across Postwick. "I heard that we're about to begin our new Pokémon Adventure, here!"
"Funny…" Double Dee said. "I feel like I've been here before… But I can't put my finger anywhere…"
"Yes you can!" Replied Ed, "All you have to do is find 'anywhere' and put your finger on it!"
That joke alone earned Ed a shook from Eddy and a chuckle from Double Dee.
"I wonder how everyone's doing…" asked Eddy, "Victor, Gloria and Hop are at their houses. We're still waiting on Peonia."
"Eddy?" Asked Ed, who was looking at the school board names. "Who is Bede and Marnie?"
"I dunno, Ed." Replied Eddy. "They're Private Scholars, here, and I don't get to see them, AT ALL! But it's whatevers…"
[Postwick House Number 2: Hop]
"Well, well, big brother." Hop looked at the TV, "And at last, I've been absolutely knackered trying to master strategies to become the next Champion, like you! Unlike the rest of those times whereI failed to battle other trainers, I won't lose!"
"Hop! Breakfast!" Said Hop's Mum.
"Got no time for breakfast! Maybe pack that Nosh to go?!" Asked Hop.
"Hoppy." Replied Hop's Mum. "It's not safe to go out and not eat. You'll get weaker and weaker until you're fatigued…"
"Fine, I'll enjoy some Nosh, then." Said Hop as he walked down with two Pokéballs on his waist as they magnetically attached themselves to his belt.
[Postwick House Number 1: Gloria and Victor]
"And then she was like 'ooh dearie, Ah feel sorry for ye, lemme bring EVEN MORE AMERICANS into our region!'" Gloria rambled on about Ed, Edd and Eddy, as if it was the newspaper front page.
"Hey, cheer up, will ya, Glory?!" Asked Victor. "I mean, sure they may be bonkers, but now's not the time to slag off our guests.."
"Will ye shut up?" Asked Gloria. "Ah'm tired of this... prat and his two friends!"
"But his friends just arrived yesterday…" Victor replied back.
"Ye always got to start ye minging soft talk, don'cha Victor?"
"Well, Eddy is right about one thing."
"What is that?"
"You got a bit of a cruel temper and it isn't curing away like your swollen legs, innit?"
"WHAT… DID… YOU… SAY?!"
"Oh dear…" Victor looked at his hands before covering his mouth after what he did to tick off his best friend.
"AH'LL TEACH YA NOT TO MAKE FUN OF MEH LEGS, YE PERVERT!"
[Tutorial Battle Begin!!]
Victor's Rotom Phone appeared in front of him as well as Gloria's own Rotom Phone did the same to her.
[Oh for Pete's sake, do you know how a battle works?! Of course you don't, that's why I was made! And so, we begin with Battling!] Said the Rotom Phone. [Right now, you're beginning your 7th Battle with… her… Okay, and what makes this different than those Boomer Styled Battles? We'll I'll tell ya! First we start with an attack! Why not look at your Pokémon's Moveset and pick one?]
Victor clicked on the Moveset App and read his moves as did Gloria for her Pokémon.
[Wait a minute! You two started a battle and not even selected your own Pokémon?! What are you waiting for?! Click the button on your Pokéballs and toss 'em out! Zzzt]
"Alright, let's go, Squirtle!" Gloria sent out her Pokémon.
Squirtle was a small, light-blue Pokémon with an appearance similar to a turtle. Like turtles, Squirtle had a shell that covers his body with holes that allow its limbs, tail, and head to be exposed. Unlike a turtle, Squirtle is ordinarily bipedal.
"What do YOU have?! You have that measly Bulbasaur that Ms Sonia gave ye?! Betcha you'll lose and apologize instantly!" Gloria snickered thickly in her Scottish Accent.
"Bulbasaur may not look as much, but it is my only option… So let's go!" Victor sent out his Bulbasaur.
Bulbasaur resembled a small amphibian/frog, but he bore three claws on each of his feet and had no tail. He also had large, red eyes and small, sharp teeth. His skin was a light, turquoise color with dark, green spots. He had three claws on all four of his legs. His most notable feature, however, is the aforementioned bulb on his back, which according to its entry in the Pokédex, was planted there at birth.
Gloria bursted out laughing as he ordered an attack.
"Let's get 'em, Squirtle! Use Tackle Attack!" Gloria pointed forward.
"(Let's go!)" The Squirtle charged forward and was about to attack Bulbasaur.
(Song Playing: Pokémon Anime - Kanto Gym Leader Theme)
[STOP!]
And then, everyone stopped due to the Freeze Fields the Rotom Phones used to stop the battle.
[Right now, your Bulbasaur is about to get hurt! There might be a chance your Pokémon's Spirits rise out of one attack! For all of you playing on a Nintendo Switch, Hold the any ABXY Button to absorb some Spirit Points!]
The battle resumed as the Rotom let Squirtle attack Bulbasaur!
"Hahah!" Gloria smirked. "Yer Pokémon's low on Hit Points! As for the cheesy joke of Spirit Points! I'll attack your Pokémon again with you getting no turn!"
"Hey! No fair!" Victor was shocked and mad at the move Gloria made.
[Scotland Celtic Gloria SKIPPED British Boy Victor's Turn]
[All hope is not lost! ZZZT!] Victor's Rotom replied. [There's still counterattacks! When your Pokémon strikes a Physical Move, your Pokémon can counterattack! And then, use the same move again to attack twice in a row to make up for the lost turn! Go for it!]
"Not for long ya won't!" Gloria smirked. "Use Tackle Attack once more!"
As Victor watched his Pokémon being closely under attack, he saw an opening and charged.
"Bulbasaur! Counter with your own Tackle!" Victor ordered.
"(Not today!)" Bulbasaur tackled Squirtle's chest and then waited for another move. And just when Victor said 'again', Bulbasaur struck once more with a Critical Hit! "(Huh!)"
And then, a Flaming Green Aura appeared with Hearts fluttering everywhere around Bulbasaur.
"What the bloody heck?!" Gloria was shocked.
[Oh boy! It's finishing move time! Use your Pokémon's Full Bondage attack to your advantage! But be careful, when your Opponent blocks or counterattacks, the results may be devastating! Give it a try!]
"Let's DO THIS!!" Victor raised his fists up as the Fiery Green aura flared around Victor. "Bulbasaur! Use Tackle! FULL POWER!!"
"(Nothing can stop me now!)" Bulbasaur ran up to Squirtle and just as Victor PUNCHED THE AIR, Bulbasaur's Attack grew stronger with bonding, so much that he LAUNCHED Squirtle onto a bookcase and a lot of books fell on him, knocking him out.
"That's it! I knew you could do it!" Victor cheered.
[Squirtle is unable to battle, Bulbasaur wins! Therefore, the victory goes to Victor!]
Victor and Bulbasaur leaped for joy as Gloria huffed and recalled her Pokéball.
"Stupid Squirtle! Ye and yer Pokémon got a wee bit luckeh.." Gloria sighed.
[You did good, Victor! As for you, Gloria, since this round is not mandatory, you don't have to pay!]
"Alright, ya won.. But there's no way yer gettin away with making fun of meh legs!" Gloria tried charging up at Victor but she blipped with light, teleporting her to the last place she healed.
"Huh? Oh yeah… since she lost, she had to return to Class…" Victor nervously chuckled as he patted his Bulbasaur.
"(Yay! Pets!)" Bulbasaur purred in Victor's arms.
[Wedgehurst: Peonia]
As Peonia was about to begin her Pokémon adventure, she had to wear extra accessories to hide from the public eye.
"Peonia!" Shouted a familiar voice. "Where are you?! I just want you to get a goodbye gift before you go! Please don't leave without saying goodbye to your daddy!"
Peonia cringed at the word "Daddy", normally, she'd get used to her clingy father and his daily missions in the snow, but even then, today was the day where she moved through all of that.
"Sorry, but I gotta go…" And with that, Peonia walked away from all of the hassle and left to School.
[Pokémon School: The Eds, Gloria, Victor, Hop and Peonia]
"And so, ladies and gentlemen." Said Ms Sonia. "As a proud endorsement of these three students, I'm proud to announce the new Gym Challengers, Ed, Edd and Eddy!"
The students clapped their hands for the trio.
"Yes! The attention I deserve!" Eddy showed off his poses as he was getting praised.
"Hurry up, Eddy has a huge hole on his butt and his Ego leaks out of there!" Ed replied to the crowd.
"Why you-!" Eddy chased Ed as Ed ran in circles around the class as Double Dee chuckled.
"Well now, as soon as we get these Pokémon out. You should be fine on your own out there." Ms Sonia cheered. "Now come on out! Scorbunny! Sobble! Grookey!"
Scorbunny was a rabbit-like Pokémon that had a predominantly white body with orange and yellow markings on its ears, toes, and neck. The markings on its neck resemble a collar. It had buckteeth, an orange nose, and irises, black sclerae, as well as a yellow band shape across its nose, resembling a bandage. It had long legs with long feet and the same yellow band on its nose under each paw pad. It also had a small, white, poof-like tail.
Sobble was a small Pokémon that had light-blue skin with darker teal patches and a lighter blue belly and face. It had similar teal eyes with white pupils and sclerae. Sobble also had a yellow fin-like protrusion from the top of its head bordered in dark blue, as well as a curled blue tail tipped in the same dark blue. Sobble had thin limbs, each of them ending in two thin appendages. It can use these to stick to walls and easily climb them.
Grookey was a small, monkey-like Pokémon with a green body, a brown tail, brown, wedge-shaped ears, orange hands and feet, and an orange snout. Each of its hands had five fingers, while each of its feet had three toes. It had two large eyes with black irises and white pupils and sclerae. A lime green mask frames its eyes and, in a small bump above its snout, extends towards its forehead.
The school was amazed by the rare Pokémon!
The Pokémon then went out to play as Scorbunny was running around, making fiery footprints on the ground as Grookey climbed up a tree and tapped a fruit with his branch. Sobble just waddled into a pond and splashed water from his mouth. But suddenly, Sobble shot water into Scorbunny, scaring it to jump real high, hitting its head onto the branch Grookey was on, making the fruit fall and splashed into the pond, scaring Sobble into tears. Sobble crawled out as Grookey and Scorbunny cheered up the little Pokémon.
"Line up!" Ms Sonia replied as the trio posed in line. "Choose your Pokémon. Let's go in alphabetical order!"
"Yay! I go first!" Ed yelled out loud. "I choose the Monkey! I like monkeys!"
Ed shook hands with the Grookey.
"Who doesn't when your lumpy mind is always eating Gravy…" Eddy groaned.
"Next up, Double Dee." Ms Sonia replied.
"Well, Water IS an interesting element, and since Ed got the Grass Type… I guess I'll choose the Water Type." Double Dee picked up the Sobble and hugged him as the tears dried up.
"And that leaves me with the bunny?! Alright! I know I'll have fun setting people on fire!" Eddy gave the Scorbunny a high five.
"Would you like to nickname your Pokémon?" Ms Sonia.
"We can nickname our Pokémon?!" Asked Eddy. "Then I choose Jack, because of Jackrabbits!"
"(Why you little!)" The Scorbunny kicked Eddy's leg in anger and in blush as she wasn't a male.
"Aw, I'm sorry, Eddy. That Scorbunny is female." Ms Sonia shook her head.
"Now you tell me…" Eddy groaned in pain. "I guess I'll go with Willow for the will of OW…"
"(Hmph!)" Willow crossed her arms and looked away. Double Dee chuckled.
"I'll nickname mine the name of the beast we all know and love… Kong!" Said Ed as he swung his Grookey around.
"(Yay! I get a cool monster name!)" Grookey smiled, this one was actually a male.
"I hope I don't make the same mistake as Eddy, but I hope you'll accept the name of James, will you?" Double Dee asked his Sobble.
"(Not at all, tee hee!)" Sobble made happy noises.
"James it is!" Double Dee smiled.
"Lucky you…" Eddy groaned, holding his leg.
"Lucky you, indeed!" Replied Hop. "You got the best send-off ever!"
"And?" Asked Eddy. "Did your send off get kicked in the leg by a rabbit?"
"Well, no…" replied Hop, hiding some laughter, "but you DID get a rare Pokémon AND you got endorsed by the teacher!"
"Doesn't everyone get endorsed here?" Double Dee asked.
"Well… yes…" replied Hop. "But I wanna get endorsed by someone bigger! And by big, I mean Champion Big! I'll get endorsed by my big brother Lee! And THEN, we'll be unfolding the new pages of my legend! The Legend of Hop!"
"I personally prefer Zelda." Ed's eyes dilated. Everyone looked at him strangely. "What? Nobody plays Nintendo?"
"Okay, then… let's get a move on." Ms Sonia replied to the students. "As you know, I gave each and every one of you a rare Pokémon. I hope you can challenge our great Champion as he will definitely look for a Champion of a Time!"
"My brother Lee is the BEST!" Hop expressed himself.
"Like Eddy's big brother!" Ed replied.
"Yeah… like mine…" Eddy replied so low.
Suddenly, a burst of the sound of wood cracked through Postwick as Hop looked in the back.
"Oh no, did a Wooloo escape again?!" Asked Hop. "Looks like I'll have to go call for help!"
"Good idea, Hop!" Ms Sonia replied. "The rest of you, I'll have to see you soon on your adventures! Until next time!"
And so, everyone ran off to do their own thing.
As Eddy didn't know, he had a Rotom phone with him, along with Double Dee and Ed, until all three of them resonated with each other.
[BZZT! MAY I BE AT YOUR SERVICE?!] Asked the Rotom Phones. [I am the Rotom Phone, and I may download as many things you want on your phone!]
"Can you download apps about babes?" Asked Eddy.
"Eddy, what are you thinking?" Double Dee asked.
"Get those stinky girl germs away from me!" Ed ran away but crashed into a wall, which left a crater of himself.
[Come to think of it, there's a Fresh App called "Applin Acquaintances" want us to download it for you?]
"If it brings babes, then sure!" Eddy smiled.
[Downloading on all three phones…]
"WHAT?! I DIDN'T ASK FOR THIS!" Double Dee yelled at Eddy.
"Relax, will ya?!" Asked Eddy. "There's bound to be some hotties here when you see a new city!"
"Why are you- nevermind." Double Dee shrugged it off due to the many of Eddy's brother's "magazines" that Eddy carried around.
[And it looks like we got a caller!]
Eddy was happy.
[Crossing over with Pokémon Trainer Jackie!]
"Howdy there!" Jackie waved through the screen call. "Is this Eddy?"
"Uh, hi?" Asked Eddy. "Is this supposed to be a date?"
"I guess so, but I'm kind of in the middle of chores… soooo…." Jackie then thought of something brilliant. "Hey! Maybe you can help me!"
"Help?!" Ed posed. "Help is on the way!"
"Yeah, Right now, there's some Purrloin stealin mah Eggs and I just gotta harvest some apples for some Curry." Jackie replied. "But yeah, is it a date?"
Double Dee shrugged, and so did Ed.
"Fine.. Deal…" replied Eddy. And so, the Ed Boys headed off to the Apple Farm.
[New Minigame: Le'go my Egg'o]
[Minigame Idea: Shoot Fancy Apples at the Purrloin to stop them from getting away with Boiled Eggs! Press X to reload Apple Box, Hold B to pull the sling, and press A to fire the Apple Sling! Also, press Y to fire the Carrot Missiles! Use the Analog Stick to move around and aim, and protect Jackie at all costs!]
As Ed, Edd, Eddy and Jackie were finding the Egg Thief, they found dozens of Purrloin stealing eggs.
"Over there!" Jackie aimed her bow at the Purrloin and shot an apple at it!
Purrloin were small feline Pokémon. They have mainly deep purple fur, with cream-colored patches on their muzzle, forehead, chest, forelegs, back, and back feet. Purrloin have green eyes with slit pupils and large angular pink eyelids. They have a blunt catlike muzzle with a small black triangular nose. They also have pointed catlike ears and whisker-like tufts of fur on each cheek. They have a sleek, slender body with small dainty paws and feet. Their tails were long and skinny with a crescent-like tuft at the tip.
The apple SPLATTERED at the Purrloin, soaking it and making it drop the egg it held. As Jackie picked it up, she gave a thumbs up.
The minigame was played until the Purrloin had enough and gave up.
"We did it!" Ed yelled. "Eggies are safe! Yay!"
"Well, Ah reckon that's a new record!" Jackie smiled as she kissed Eddy on the cheek. "Y'all made me proud that Ah'll give ya some Fancy Apples for your curry! Enjoy!"
[Ed, Edd and Eddy received 6 Fancy Apples!]
"Thank you for that delightful minigame!" Double Dee replied as he cracked his back from firing the sling. "But we best get going!"
"Of course, anytime y'all wanna date, let's play some games!" Jackie winked at the Ed Boys as she returned to her farm.
[Date 1: Complete!]
[Slumbering Weald: Hop]
"Wooloo!" Hop called out, looking for the Wooloo who escaped. "Wooloo?!"
"(I'm right here, Hop!)" Exclaimed Wooloo… Hop's own Wooloo, that is.
"Not you, buddy. The one who escaped. Though, thank you for notifying me, mate!" Hop pat his Secondary Ace.
"(HELLO?!)" A voice baa'd out from deep within Slumbering Weald.
"Hop!" A voice called out from behind, running behind him. It was Victor and Gloria, with their starter Pokémon following them!
"Victor! Gloria!" Hop looked at them, catching up to him.
"Hop! Are you crazy?! You could get lost in the Slumbering Weald!" Victor scolded his friend.
"Eh, who cares, the world would be better off without him." Gloria crossed her arms.
"Gloria, now's not the time to be pushy!" Victor alerted his Childhood Friend.
"Ah didn't want to come here, ye know!" Gloria replied. "Though Am not afraid of this weepin' weald…"
"Then why did you come here?" Asked Hop with both he and Victor waiting for an answer.
"What do ya want from meh?!" Asked Gloria with a harsh Scottish growl.
"Geez… sorry for cranking up the mad attitude lever…" Hop held his ears from ringing.
"Whatever…" Gloria looked away.
"Look, we all gotta look for the Wooloo or else it can be in danger!" Hop replied. "If we don't, who knows what will happen to it!"
"We?!" Gloria scoffed. "Don't make meh laugh…"
"Fine!" Victor plotted. "Hop, you and I will go look for that Wooloo! Gloria, you go back to Postwick and alert the others if we don't come back!"
"WHAT?!" Gloria FUMED. "Ye're not leaving meh behind, are ya?! Who knows what will happen to ye!"
"Why Gloria," Hop teased. "Could this mean that you DO actually care?"
Gloria blushed and pouted."Sh - shut it! Are we gettin that Wooloo or not?!"
"Alright, come with us!" Victor plotted again. "Let's ALL go after that Wooloo! And while we can, we can train with the Pokémon around here!"
"Okay!" Hop said proudly. "Maybe then we can be as strong as Lee, or better yet, rival Ed, Edd, and Eddy!"
"Doncha DARE say that names in my presence!" Gloria frowned at Hop.
"Who, Eddy?" Asked Hop, earning a SLAP from Gloria. "OW!"
"Ah told ya!" Said Gloria.
"Now's not the time to be petty, Glory." Victor replied. "I know that Eddy gave you 25 detentions in a month every time he told the teacher on you, but something tells me that Eddy is hiding somethi- OW!"
"TWO FOR FLINCHIN!" Gloria punched Victor TWICE for that name.
"Let's go, already…" Hop held his red cheek, huet from the Scottish Slap. "If only she was this good at Pokémon Battles than she is at hurting people…"
Suddenly, two Pokémon appeared before the trio.
They were Pokémon they had never seen before.
The first one resembled a quadrupedal yellow eyed, azure and white fur-colored wolf-like creature with a coral pink nose and lower jaw, small coral pink wing blade-like fur, long matching colored braid-like fur and a coral pink tail in a triangle shape. It had multiple scars and scratches all over its svelte body and its left ear was cut half clean off, likely a result of injuries it suffered from battles. Its azure fur also looks somewhat messy.
The second one resembled a quadrupedal red fur-colored wolf-like creature with a large shield-like mane and dark blue fur sticking out from the bottom of the mane, sticking upward on the frontal paws and pointing up on the head as a high ponytail. Its body has several scars and scratches and its right ear is half cut-off.
They both looked at the trio and their Pokémon. And as they crept closer, they were much bigger than they seemed from far away.
"What the-?!" Hop looked scared, but gained confidence. "Wait! There's three of us, Four Pokémon at least, and only two of them! We outnumber them!"
"Now ye're talking!" Gloria prepared for a battle as she sent out her Pokémon to battle. "Let's get 'em, Squirtle!"
"(Alright, I choose not to lose this one!)" Squirtle stepped before the two Pokémon.
"Come on, Bulbasaur! You're up!" Victor called out as his Pokémon ran into the battle zone.
"(I never lost and never will!)" Bulbasaur cried out.
"And last but not least…" Hop's golden eyes flared up. "I have my Wooloo by my side, and to add heat, I'll even throw in my Ace... Charmander!"
Hop tossed out the Pokéball containing his ace Pokémon, Charmander.
Charmander was a small, bipedal, dinosaur-like Pokémon. Most of his body was colored orange, while his underbelly was a pale light-yellow color. He had four small fingers on each hand and three claws on each foot. Charmander also had a flame that constantly burns on the end of his tail.
"(Let's rock and roll!)" Charmander prepared for battle.
"(...)" The two Pokémon stared eerily at the four standing before them.
"(You think they're scared?)" Asked Hop's Wooloo.
"(They gotta be after this entrance!)" Gloria's Squirtle smirked.
"(Then why are they remaining there?)" Asked Victor's Bulbasaur.
"(I don't know, but I wouldn't let my guard down if I were you…)" Hop's Charmander looked at the foes.
"Ah'll start the show!" Gloria smirked. "Let's start off with a Bubble, Squirtle!"
(Here I go!)" Squirtle started off by taking a deep breath of air and blew bubbles at the foes, which unfortunately, didn't work.
"Curse the weak Squirtle!" Gloria yelled out.
"Maybe it's a Grass Type." Replied Victor, telling Gloria to calm down.
"Fine then…" Hop started off again for Gloria. "Maybe an Ember shall do! Let's do it, Charmander!"
"(Take this!)" Charmander spun around and sparked embers at the foes, but it phased through it.
"Uh, guys… I don't think it's a Grass Type either…" Hop said worryingly.
"Maybe, we'll try a Leech Seed, shall we Bulbasaur?" Asked Victor.
"(Okay… Let's go… I think…)" Bulbasaur shot Seeds that spread onto the foes that shoot Green Energy Orbs at the team… … IT WORKED!
"Yes! We got them!" Victor praised his Bulbasaur.
"Lucky…" said the jealous Gloria.
As Green Energy Orbs were shot at the ally team, each mon got a huge boost in energy.
"Yes! Our Pokémon gor boosted up!" Gloria cheered.
"Wait a minute…" Victor did the math. "Leech Seed takes a slight amount of Health away from the foes… So that must mean…"
"Uh oh.." Hop replied.
[The Foes wait for the final move.]
"Why are they starin at us?!'' Gloria asked.
"Alright, let's go!" Hop replied. "Wooloo! Tackle Attack!"
The Wooloo gulped. "(Alright, here we go…)"
The Wooloo curled into a ball of wool and tackled straight at the Foes, HOWEVER, the Foes JUMPED OVER WOOLOO and attacked the ally team with a Full Bondage Attack!
[??? and ??? used Mysterious Eruption!]
As the two foes howled and exhaled a mysterious fog that ignited into a Blast of Light, blinding the trio and their mons deep into an eerie mist, putting them to sleep and the last sound they heard was a howl…

"(...)" The first foe looked at its partner.
"(Not worthy…)" said the partner.
"(Let us keep looking for thee who summons light…)" the first one replied back as they crossed the Weald and disappeared in it, taking the eerie mist with it.
[Postwick: Ed, Edd 'N Eddy]
Ed, Edd and Eddy were eating some Sweet Garlic Bread Curry, made especially for the party, Ms Sonia.
"This Butter Toast Curry tastes funny… But it's yummy in Eds Tummy!" Ed patted his flabby belly as he took his hand and scooped up another bite of the Garlic Bread.
Ms Sonia giggled. "Why, thank you, Ed! Anyways, that's Garlic Bread, and while it does have butter, it does have a great exotic taste to the curry, doesn't it?"
"How can something so nasty taste so good?" Asked Eddy.
"Probably if you prepare it right and cook it exceptionally well, you should come out with more than just aroma and taste with Garlic. Why… That's how some sauces taste so great." Double Dee replied.
"Come on out! Kong!" Ed tossed out his Pokéball and summoned his Starter Pokémon, Grookey.
"(I have been called out! What do you need me for?!)" Asked Kong as he was fed a spoonful of Curry and Rice. "(Hey, this tastes delicious!)"
"Um, Ed, was that your own spoon?" Asked Double Dee in a cringing matter.
"My Pokémon must eat!" Ed replied.
"That… didn't answer my question… but of course, we HAVE TO FEED our Pokémon, since they're living beings too. So let us have our meal, James!" Double Dee presses the button on
his Pokéball with the same middle finger from his hand that held the Pokéball, and lets the ball summon his starter Pokémon, Sobble.
"(A - Anything you'd need me for?)" Asked James.
"Here you go, companion." Double Dee smiled as he poured some of his curry and some of his rice on a plate for his Pokémon and set it on the ground. "Eat up, a big day is ahead of us!"
"(Wow…)" James' eyes beamed. "(Thank you, Double Dee!)"
Eddy looked at his team's attempt to treat their Pokémon.
"What?" Asked Eddy. "You want me to feed my Pokémon this Curry, too? Well… okay… Come on out, Willow!"
And with that, Eddy summoned his starter Pokémon, Scorbunny…. Who's still mad at him. Eddy reluctantly served curry for his partner.
"Just take your curry and go before I suffer from your hot feet…" Eddy then made a cringing face at himself. "What?..."
Ed and Double Dee looked at each other.
"It's not like that!" Eddy replied back. "How else do you describe a Fire Pokémon's Feet that's always on fire?!"
[Horns and Snare]
"Worst joke I ever heard…" Ed squinted his eyes, which dilated again as he stared at Eddy, placing a piece of Garlic Bread in his ear. "Even my ears would rather eat than listen to you!"

Eddy groaned as he ate a spoonful of curry.
"Excuse me." Said a man.
"Oh, Leon… What brings you here?" Ms Sonia asked the man.
Leon was a tall man, with long, purple hair, trimmed jawline beard and amber eyes. He wore a baseball cap tilted upwards to show off the crown design on the brim, a red fur-lined cape that has logos of sponsors on the back, and a black striped shirt that has a sword and shield on it. He also wore white shorts with white tights underneath with a black and gold diamond pattern
down the side, and with shoes as an equal design of his tights and shirt with what seems to be a golden "X" in the front laces.
"Hey, Sonia!" Leon replied with a smile with a ferocious beast behind him, roaring loudly, scaring the Wooloo. "I kinda got lost on the way, and I was hoping my Charizard would know the way. But unfortunately, none of us can."
"(GOOD MORNING POSTWICK!)" Leon's Charizard roared.
Charizard was a large, dragon-like Pokémon that differs greatly from his pre-evolved form. Charizard appeared to have the orange/yellow coloration of Charmander. Two large fangs can be seen when his mouth is closed. When his mouth is open, his lower fangs and a slender but long tongue can be seen. He also has two horns protruding from each side of the top of his head. The most notable difference between Charizard and its pre-evolved forms were the large wings that have developed on his back, which gives Charizard the capability of flying.
And on Charizard's back, were the three starter Pokémon that the Ed Boys had, perhaps they're Leon's own Starter Pokémon.
"I see you'd given away the Pokémon I gave you, Sonia." Leon replied.
"And I see you haven't changed a bit…" Ms Sonia shook her head.
"May I see who you endorsed this year?" Asked Leon.
"Here they are!" Ms Sonia introduced everyone who was there to Leon.
Leon saw Peonia, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, but no sign of Hop, Gloria nor Victor.
"Huh…" Leon then looked at Willow, Kong and James. "Hey there! Who are your owners now?!"
"That will be us, sir." Double Dee replied, walking to his Sobble.
"And me!" Eddy exclaimed.
"And me!" Ed leaped out of his seat and fell. "Excuse me!"
Leon smiled, "My, what a fun bunch, what are your names?"
"They're the Ed Boys; Ed, Edd and Eddy!" Replied Ms Sonia.
"Hahah! Now that's the name of a trio to be gobsmacked!" Leon chuckled heartily. "Say! Since you're in a trio with my Pokémon, how about we practice a Trio Battle?!"
"Oh boy! A battle between our monsters!" Ed exclaimed.
"It gets better from there!" Said Leon. "I actually wanna try a Full On 'Retro Battle' with those starters versus mine! Think you can handle all that excitement?!"
"What's a Retro battle?" Ms Sonia asked.
"It's a traditional 3 on 3 battle, where wild Pokémon start taking form in trios and hordes, but if they want to fight in numbers, why not fight back in numbers, am I right?" Asked Leon. "So are you ready?"
"Alright! You're on!" Said Eddy with a smirk.
"Just so you know, this isn't an official Championship Battle. So I'll pay you double the amount for keeping this a secret." Leon replied.
"Can I be the battler for you, Mr Leon?" Asked Peonia.
"And who may you be?" asked Leon.
"I'm Peonia, Ms Sonia's endorsed and the daughter of the Chairman's brother." She replied.
"Of course, I hope you know these are top notch Pokémon to begin with. Alright! Scorbunny, Grookey, Sobble! Fight with her!" Leon ordered as his Pokémon posed for battle.
"The battle between the Ed Boys and Peonia will soon begin. This is a test battle, but as Leon said, he pays for the battle!" Said Ms Sonia. "Pokémon trainers ready?!"
"(Let's go!)" Willow, Kong and James hopped into battle.

[Retro Battle Tutorial Begin!]
"Battle Begin!" Ms Sonia brought down a chop!
"Alright!" Peonia started off the battle. "Scorbunny, Ember attack on Ed's Grookey!"
Ed yelled out on top of his lungs. "Kong! Dodge it!"
"(Huh?!)" Kong looked at the incoming flame which was headed straight to him! He didn't know what to do but take it…. "(Ow ow!!)"
Kong took heavy amounts of damage as the Spirit Points as a Green aura flared up!
"Whoa! Energy surge!" Ed smiled as he felt Kong's power surge through him.
"Be careful, Peonia!" Leon warned. "You just hit his Grookey with a Super Effective Move! That means he is willing to do something more for his Pokémon! What did you do with your Pokémon that made it toughen up like that?!"
"I play with Kong, I feed Kong, I even watch movies with him!" Ed replied with his eyes dilating.
"Now as for Moves, Peonia, you can use two attacks in one move as long as they match. Pound, Scratch, Tackle are the same element and power, so you should be good." Replied Leon.
"Alright then, Grookey and Sobble, Double Team Attack on Grookey again!" Peonia ordered as Ed yelled for his Pokémon.
"KONG! NO!" Ed shouted, not knowing what to do as his Pokémon took the final hit that was his defeat…
…
Or at least should have been.
"Huh?" Ed looked at his Pokémon who had a Shield of Green Light around him, blocking the attacks.
"Wow! Grookey toughed it out so Ed wouldn't be sad!" Leon said impressed. "Remember; when a Trainer's Spirit Energy is unused, it automatically uses the Defense Mechanism before the Health Points hit 1 percent! Also, it automatically passes on to others to show an example of how good a teammate is!"
[Willow gained 15% Spirit Points while James gained 35% Spirit Points by their Trainer's respect!]
"(Sniff… I'm okay… for now!")" Kong wiped a tear from his eye from his first battle save.
"Now your turn!" Leon replied to the Ed Boys, "But don't slow down! Taking too long may result in a turn skip!"
"Let's go!" Ed pumped a fist in the air as he punched the air.
"Wait, Ed! Shall we Team Attack?!" Double Dee attacked.
"Let's attack! Right Eddy?!" Asked Ed.
"Let's win!" Eddy smirked. "Willow!"
"Kong!" Ed followed.
"James!" Double Dee teamed up with his two best friends.
"TEAM ATTACK!" Ed, Edd and Eddy ordered.
"(Let's go!)" Willow, Kong, and James used Team Attack altogether on Peonia, or Leon's Sobble.
Leon's Sobble took the damage as it fainted.
"Peonia's Sobble is unable to Battle!" Ms Sonia announced as Sobble got back up to 1 percent as soon as Scorbunny bounced upon Sobble with his feet. "Huh?!"
"Oh yeah, I forgot, in Retro Battles, you HAVE TO take care of the final 3 Pokémon consecutively before the turn ends!" Leon replied. "While Sobble is still up, you'll notice it can only use one move it used before as it moves behind your other two Pokémon, as it is now a support and will recover HP along the way."
Leon's Sobble moved behind Scorbunny and Grookey as it sighed in relief.
"Alright!" Peonia ordered. "Scorbunny, Grookey! Team Attack again on Grookey!"
"Wack 'em with your stick, Kong! Or use Scratch!" Ed used an uppercut motion to order a command.
"(Not this time!)" Kong prepared himself and whacked BOTH Scorbunny and Grookey with his branch to disrupt the Team Attack as Scorbunny and Grookey bounced off and landed near Willow and James.
"(Hiya!)" Willow kicked Grookey in the face.
"(T - take this!)" James tackled Scorbunny as the foes were both in the Red Zone of the Health Meter.
"Wow, you already know how to Block Battles?!" Asked Leon.
"Edition 3 of 'The Barbarian' on Betamax!" Ed replied. "When he used a stick for a sword and still defeated the evil lava princess!"
"Okay, let's not get sidetracked here!" Leon ignored Ed for he hadn't watched THAT much TV in his youth days.
[Willow, Kong and James all gained Full Power!]
Green, Blue and Red aura flared up within Ed, Double Dee and Eddy, respectively.
"Oh no! What is happening?!" Asked Peonia.
"My, my!" Ms Sonia was surprised. "Could this be a Full Team Power?!"
"FINISH IT!" Leon exclaimed as the Ed Boys and their Pokémon's aura resonated and flared up!
"Hey guys!" Asked Ed. "What if we try Growl?! We all have it!"
"Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try…" Double Dee shrugged.
"Okay!" Eddy started it. "Willow!"
"Kong!" Ed followed up.
"James!" Double Dee teamed up.
"GROWL FULL TEAM POWER!" Ed, Edd and Eddy called out.
The three of the Ed Boys' Pokémon took a deep breath and delivered a ROAR of a mighty loud noise from their vocal chords that was ear piercing that even sent shockwaves of notes at the foes, scaring them and making them leap to the floor!
[Scorbunny, Grookey and Sobble Tripped!]
Then a Blue Aura flashed within the three foes.
[The Foe Team's Attack Stat instantly fell!]
The aura wore off and the three Ed Boys and their Pokémon were back to normal!
"Oh yeah, that reminds me! A Full Powered Stat Defense or Boost can instantly and easily increase or decrease any stat in one move!" Leon pointed out. "Geez! And they say I'M not smart enough to be in a classroom!"
"That's only because you think about getting stronger." Replied Ms Sonia.
"Now then, where were we?" Asked Eddy.
"That's enough!" Leon replied. "You discovered a NEW way to end a Retro Battle! When all foes are either Tripped or have an equal Stat Problem on the same turn, it's called the Jackpot Victory, the most pacifist way to end a battle! And since the foe's Star Limit Requirement for 1 Star is 4 Items, that means the foe must spend 3/4ths of an Item requirement for a battle, it can either be 1 heal or surrender, there is no other option! Well done!"
"And that means the winner of a Jackpot Victory goes to… Ed, Edd N Eddy!" Ms Sonia cheered and raised a hand for the Ed Boys.
"Why must entertaining battles be so complicated?" Peonia asked as Leon paid $9K, or $3K to each Ed Boy.

Each Ed Boy and Peonia recalled their Pokéball.
"You did great Peonia!" Said Leon. "And for that, I'm endorsing you!"
Peonia's eyes lit up. "Wow! Even after all that?! But I failed you!"
"You did great!" Leon pat Peonia. "Although you can use more than just Single Bullying."
"Maybe I'll pay attention to that next time." Peonia smiled cutely.
"As for you two, you're already endorsed by your teacher and I gave you some Pokémon, so there's no need for an endorsement. And it's not because I prefer Galarian Trainers over Americans." Leon replied.
"Right…" Eddy rolled his eyes.
Suddenly, a burst of light appeared from the Slumbering Weald with loud howl noises echoing through Postwick.
"Brother?!" Leon was shocked as he felt a strange aura within himself sensing danger! "Where is he?!"
"Oh yeah, he said he was going to rescue a Wooloo that was tackling a fence!" Ed replied.
"Oh no!" Leon nearly panicked but took action. "Charizard! Let's go!"
"(Sorry ladies, but I gotta go!)" Charizard waved at the female Wooloo, who were fawning over him.
"(Awwwwwwww…)" The female Wooloo baa'd.
"Let us come with you!" Eddy called out.
"It's too dangerous to go into the Slumbering Weald!" Leon replied with a serious face.
"It's dangerous to go alone, take this!" Ed replied with his hand on Kong's Pokéball.
"Alright! Let's go!" Leon looked at the Ed Boys and ran with them into the Slumbering Weald. …
[Slumbering Weald: Hop, Victor, Gloria, The Eds and Leon]
Hop, Victor, Gloria and their Pokémon were fainted on the ground as Ed, Double Dee, Eddy and Leon stood shocked at what happened.
"No…" Leon was shocked.
"Something happened?" Asked Ed.
"Apparently, whoever attacked these three were pretty strong…" Leon replied with a concerning look as he observed further.
"(Leon! Get over here!)" Charizard roared.
Leon understood as he ran to his partner Pokémon and saw two Wooloo in a corner, one boy and one girl.
"I know whose Wooloo is this..." Leon looked at Hop, a few feet back, and then back at Hop's Wooloo, the male.
"(Are we safe?)" Asked Hop's Wooloo.
"(Hmph!)" Charizard frowned. "(Which one of you escaped from Postwick?!...)"
"(I - It's me…)" The Female Wooloo stepped forward, shyly. "(I'm sorry for almost being Sheppard Wooloo Pie… I just hate being in a farm…)"
"(I hope you learn your lesson! Because you and Hop's Pokémon were very lucky to dodge whatever did THIS to Hop and his friends! And there's more danger being in the wilderness, so I don't get what's your idea coming all the way out here when you're much safer in Yamper's
hands- er, paws!)" Charizard scolded the female Wooloo as he faced Hop's Wooloo. "(As for YOU, what you did is cowardly, but at least you DID find this Wooloo and saved yourselves from being Wooloo Broth and Stew… at a cost of your owner's life!!)"
The male Wooloo gulped. "(I'm sorry, it'll never happen again! I promise!)"
"Geez!…" Eddy said. "And I thought I was the weak one, eh, Gloria?! If you had more muscle than fat in those legs of yours, and the same amount of muscle when you chased me around the school, you could've made a run for it! But something tells me, you are not all that strong!"
"What a Cherry Pit…" Ed facepalmed.
"I think you mean 'What a Pity', Ed." Double Dee corrected.
Suddenly, Gloria twitched in anger and attacked Eddy as Eddy screamed for help.
"WHY DONTCHA KEEP QUIET, CHEEKY BOY!" Gloria pulled Eddy's arm behind his back.
"NOT EVEN A THANK YOU?!" Eddy growled from pain.
Hop and Victor then got up.
"Hop! Victor! Gloria!" Lee ran to the rising trio.
"HELP ME!" Eddy cried out.
"Eddy? I know you read a lot of books on girls, so if you please riddle me this. What's with the lines on Gloria's back?" Asked Ed.
Gloria blushed red, turned angry, let go of Eddy and started chasing Ed as Ed ran in circles around the group, laughing all the way.
"WHY DONTCHA STICK YER NOSE IN ANOTHER PERSON'S BUSINESS, DODGY PUNK?!" Gloria chased Ed as she tried her best at running, but Ed was simply so much faster.
"Wha-?! Lee?! How'd you manage to find us here?! You're pants at directions! You always get lost!" Hop was surprised.
"Oh, that's nice to hear from my little brother who HAD ME WORRIED SICK!!" Leon shouted at Hop, who flinched from the tone. "I'd been waiting AGES FOR YOU THREE, and you never showed! OF COURSE I came looking for you!!"
Hop looked around.
"Wait! Where's Wooloo?!" Hop asked. "We're trying to rescue that Wooloo!! And where's MY Wooloo?!"
As Leon turned around, he pointed his hand to the two Wooloo and his Charizard, who were talking.
"(Now repeat after me!)" Charizard told the Female Wooloo. "(I will not go tackling the gate to escape the farm ever again!)"
"(I will not go tackling the gate to escape the farm ever again..)" The Female Wooloo baa'd.
"(I, your name, will not go to the Slumbering Weald!)"
"(I, Wooloo, will not go to the Slumbering Weald..)"
"(I promise not to disobey my farmer and not to listen to gossip other Wooloo will say!)"
"(But the farmer always feeds me the same berries!)" The female Wooloo whined.
"(We've been through this for the last time!)" Charizard replied with a scolding tone. "(Farmers DO NOT HAVE TIME to cook curry for ALL of his farm! Now, SAY THE LAST WORDS!)"
The Female Wooloo sighed sadly. "(I promise not to disobey my Farmer and not to listen to gossip other Wooloo will say…)"
"(Good…)" Charizard opened Leon's Satchel and took out a box of Curry. "(This is a RARE MEXICAN 'SWEET GREEN CURRY'! Treat it especially for yourself, for you've learned a valuable lesson today!)"
"And would you look at that!" Eddy replied as the Female Wooloo dug into her curry dish in the Tupperware Bowl."He's handing that Curry to that sheep!"
"The little chap is fine." Replied Leon. "Though all of you fainted by the time I found you here. Sonia cooked up another rare Curry for me as it's handed to the Wooloo down there, but, you know this place is out of bounds… … But it took courage, even for me, to come over here all the same, and even bring the Ed Boys here, saving my Pokémon some energy. And I understand well enough why you did it… You did good, Hop!"
"Well at least that Wooloo's alright. AND we did train a lot!" Hop smiled. "Yeah, Victor? Gloria?"
"At least another Wooloo was saved." Victor replied proudly.
Gloria stopped running after Ed as she took deep breaths to recover. " Ah never seen someone with that much speed…"
"I thought we'd had it when that weird fog started rolling in and those mad Pokémon attacked.. But at least it wasn't ALL for nothing!" Hop said with a confident smile.
"Attacked by some mad Pokémon? What are you talking about, Hop?" Asked Leon.
"That weird 'fog', eh, Hop?" Asked Eddy. "We might need to get you some fresh air."
"No." Hop told Eddy and Leon. "It seemed LOADS stronger than any Pokémon I've ever seen. And it had this sort of presence… And our moves didn't even touch it, I mean, REALLY- they seemed to pass right through it!"
Leon crossed his arms. "Your moves passed RIGHT through it?"
"Impossible." Ed replied. "Maybe it's a God Monster, like those games that we play back in school!"
"So, the fearsome Pokémon they say lives in the Slumbering Weald..." Leon squinted at the Weald. "Are they actually illusions or something?..."
"Illusions or not, it's illogical to fight someone stronger than you." Double Dee told Hop.
"Fair enough." Victor replied.
"Get strong enough and maybe the lot of you will be the ones to reveal the truth someday." Leon ordered. "For now, let's simply get out of this place. You'll be alright now that I'm here with you!"
"(And that goes for you two, as well!)" Charizard told the two Wooloo. "(As long as I'm the King of Beasts with Leon by my side, you have nothing to fear but me!)"
"(Yay!)" The two Wooloo baa'd.
"Even if we did get an earful from Lee…" Hop exclaimed. "What an experience! This will make a fine first page in the tale of my Legend!"
As everyone left the Slumbering Weald, Leon looked back at it one more time.
"I remember sneaking here to train, and I nearly got in trouble…" Leon spoke to the wind of the Weald. "I will soon find out if you exist… and why my brother..."
"(Worthy…)" A voice echoed throughout the Slumbering Weald. "(Worthy!...)"
"Hm…" Leon hummed as he left the scenery.
[Postwick: Ed Boys, Hop, Victor, Gloria, Peonia]
Leon decided to give his spare Starter Pokémon: Grookey, Sobble and Scorbunny, who were not the ones who battled the Ed Boys, to Hop, Victor and even Gloria, respectively.
Leon was about to leave as he and his Charizard saw the same Wooloo hopping over the rocky wall.
"(You just don't sit down, will you?)" Asked Charizard.
"(It's not fair! I want to be on an Adventure!)" The Female Wooloo whined.
"Hello, sheepie!" Ed waved. "I wish I had more monsters…"
"Say…" Leon had an idea as he took out a bag of empty Pokéballs. "You there! Ed, is it?"
"MY NAME IS ED!" Ed replied loudly.
"Yeah, yeah!" Leon replied back. "Listen, you want another Pokémon on your team, right?"
"YES!" Ed yelled with excitement! "Ed wants more monsters!"
"Excellent!" Leon liked Ed's enthusiasm, despite being American. Leon gave Ed some empty Pokéballs. "They're empty Pokéballs! Use them to catch that Wooloo!"
"Catch that Wooloo?" Asked Ed as he looked at the Pokéball and then at the Pokémon. "Alright!"
[Wild Battle Begin!]

[A Wild LV 2 Wooloo appeared!]
"(Baa?)" Wooloo looked at Ed.
"(Alright! As King of Beasts, I demand you show me a battle, young one!)" Charizard yawned.
"(O - Okay…)" The Wooloo rolled to the Battlefield!
"Alright, Ed!" Leon taught Ed a lesson. "Before you go capturing Pokémon, you must FIRST weaken them to low health! And to do that, you must battle!"
"Alright!" Ed replied, with a confident look! "Come on out, Kong!"
Ed loaded his Pokéball and sent out his Starter Pokémon, Grookey!
"(Let's go!)" Grookey posed for battle!
[Turn 1]
Ed pointed at the female Wooloo, "Kong! Attack with Scratch!"
Kong obeyed as he leaped forward and scratched the Wooloo on her body, taking a huge amount of health, for she was weaker than Kong!
"(Huff… huff… my turn…)" The female Wooloo huffed as she rolled into a ball and used a Tackle attack on Kong!
"(Ow!)" Kong winced at the pain as he got back up.
[Kong gained 50 percent Spirit Points!]
"(No… I lost…)" The female Wooloo feared for the most.
"(Don't worry young Wooloo!)" Charizard roared. "(You're in good hands!)"
"(Meh?)" The female Wooloo baa'd in question.
[Turn 2]
"Before you toss a Pokéball, I'd like to share some Watts with you to SUPERCHARGE your Pokéball!" Leon replied as he raised his hand out and zapped the Pokéball with purple light that made the Pokéball glowed Blue!
[Leon used 50 Watts!]
[The Pokéball's chances of capturing are now up by 50 percent!]
"And just so you know, the more Spirit Points your Pokémon has, the better odds of winning! But! Spirit Points only grant a slight chance of capture happening!" Leon warned.
"Here we go!" Ed swung his arm around and tossed the Pokéball at the female Wooloo, which when the ball opened, it violently zapped white lightning at Wooloo and instantly sucked her inside!
The ball then closed, and sealed itself! The button was red as the ball started shaking violently with stars and electricity!
One shake!... Two shakes… Three Shakes! DING!
[Congratulations! Wooloo has been caught!]
"Yes!" Ed and Kong leaped for joy as Ed went and collected his new Pokémon. "I caught a new Monster!"
"Way to go, Ed!" Leon cheered.
"(Have fun, little Wooloo!)" Charizard smiled proudly.
"I'll call you, Mary!" Replied Ed. "Mary the little lamb- uh, Wooloo!"

A/N: As of now, I'm working on the Deluxe Part of Galar. And I'm SO PROUD OF MY SECOND HALF OF THE NEW CURRY DEX that I decided to make a third half. Curry Dex coming up soon.
