(A/N): Sorry if I seem so cheap and only post Edventure fanfics. I just wanna make this since I now have Sword and Shield and saw the full gameplay. Though I do say it does give me some headaches in the plot, but it also could be because I have Covid. But not to worry, I'll be fine. Until then, excelsior!
To recap:
Ed Edd N Eddy battled Peonia with Leon's Pokémon while Hop and his friends battled a strange Pokémon in the Slumbwring Weald. Leon and the Ed Boys retrieve them from the Slumbering Weald and the chapter ended with Ed catching the Wooloo who escaped the farm.
(Chapter 2): Ed O' Clock News
[Cul-de-sac: Cul-de-sac Kids]
The Cul-de-sac Kids were happy to spend their summer in a vacation, waiting to show off to Eddy about how he should've stopped being such a dork and just beat it, at least Kevin thought.
It was school days, and Kevin had been ready to brag about it.
"Do you really think Eddy had a bad summer vacation at his summer school, Sarah?" Asked Jimmy.
"You bet he did!" Sarah smirked. "I can't wait to show him off about how we had so much fun!"
"You know it!" Kevin replied. "I bet you, that dork's quaking in his boots!"
"I feel sorry for them a bit.." Nazz admitted.
"Better safe than sorry, Nazz!" Jonny replied. "At least there's no scamming over these days anymore! And you bet Plank will show off how much fun he had!"
"Wait, where's Rolf?" Asked Jimmy.
"I dunno." Replied Nazz, "Dude said his cousin came over from his homeland, as well as bringing over a transfer student living in his house."
"Oh well." Replied Jimmy. "He's gonna miss Eddy's return."
Suddenly, the bus came as it parked near Eddy's house. As everyone took place, they bursted out with some cheer.
"WELCOME HOME, LOSER!!" The Cul-de-sac kids cheered, but out came two different kids, the ages of Jimmy and Sarah. "Huh?"
"Oi! Mate! That wasn't very noice!" Said the boy with a Scottish Accent.
"Cheeky Americans and their RUDE BEHAVIOR!" Said the girl with a British accent. "Ai can't FATHOM that this is the house of the three Americans!"
"Huh?!" The Cul-de-sac Kids were confused on whether they should feel ashamed or offended. On the factual side, this actually hurts.
"Where's Eddy?" Asked Jimmy.
"He can't be gone, can he?!" Asked Kevin as he went inside and checked the bus.
"Hey kid, there's no one here!" Said the Bus Driver.
And he was right! Eddy, Ed, nor Double Dee was here. Could it possibly be? During that late night visit, when Double Dee and Ed went to Eddy's summer school… could they have stayed?!... NO! Kevin thought.
"Excuse me, laddeh!" The boy moved over the Cul-de-sac Kids as they walked towards Eddy's house. And right inside, were all of the Ed Boys' parents.
The Cul-de-sac Kids watched as the two children talked to the parents of the Ed Boys.
"Ah, you must be Gold and Jewel!" Said Mrs. Vincent, also known as Double Dee's mom.
"Indeed, Ma'am!" Said Gold. "Mummy told me this might be the house of the American."
"Logically, the American you must be speak8ng of is my Eddward." Said Mrs Vincent. "Come in, we have a nice American Styled meal cooked up by our very own neighbors! Tony is barbecuing today, and I hope you enjoy some patties! (Though they denied our patty inspection, but I wouldn't worry too much.)"
"Hey wait!" Kevin stopped everyone.
"Who do we have here? Some more people from Galar?" Mrs Vincent asked.
"Galar?!" The group was confused.
"Actually, we're American, Double Dee's Mom." Said Nazz.
"So you must be our children's neighbors." Said Mrs Vincent. "Of course, the more the merrier."
The Cul-de-sac Kids' mouths gaped with shock. Was it that easy?
[Double Dee's Backyard: Cul-de-sac Kids, Parents, Gold and Jewel]
The kids were dining on their burgers, enjoying themselves, as well as the Galarian Children's FIRST TASTE of American Cheese.
"I don't mean to toot my own horn, but, I make the MEANEST BURGERS EVER in the Cul-de-sac!" Replied Tony, Eddy's Dad.
"This is awesome!" Jonny complimented the chef.
"Thank you. Now, what was it that you, Galarians, like about Spike over there?" Asked Tony.
"Surely he hasn't caused TOO MUCH trouble, has he?" Asked Kathy, Eddy's mom.
"Actually, he was really glum about these past few years until the day the other two Americans came." Replied Jewel. The Cul-de-sac Kids were THIS CLOSE to showing off to Eddy, yet this was when HE decided to stay?! "Other than driving Ms Sonia stress and getting bullied by Gloria, he's now happy, starting his adventure around Galar!"
"Oh yes, being bullied by his classmate, Gloria…" Tony sighed.
"Relax, it's not like it's the end of the world!" Replied Matt, or Ed's dad, as he's watching a small TV. "There's TONS of things to be embarrassed about other than getting bullied by a girl!"
The Cul-de-sac Kids had mixed emotions. He drove a teacher to stress, that's nothing new. But getting bullied by what seemed to be a girl, was kind of embarrassing, but then again, she looks like she could be quite a charmer to give pain to Eddy.
"But that's the thing, Eddy has quite the charm to attract… those types of girls…" Tony admitted.
"What's to be ashamed about?" Asked Erin, Ed's mom. "If he can charm a girl by just being her punching bag, wouldn't that be easier than buying her gifts?"
Nazz didn't like it. Sure, Eddy may be deserving of a girl, but at a price of pain? Almost every Cul-de-sac Kid felt sorry for Eddy, though they didn't believe Eddy was always getting his butt kicked by a girl.
For Kevin, this had to be a dream come true! A girl beating up the dork?! He would like to meet this girl and maybe help her flush Eddy down the toilet or make him look like a clown. Wait a minute! Is he crushing for Gloria?! And he hasn't seen her yet.
"Where is Galar?" Asked Sarah.
And then, out came two Rotom Phones, levitating, and swirling around.
[Ah, master and mistress Gold and Jewel!] Said ths Rotom Phones. [I see you made it to America! It seems like Ms Sonia left you some postcards and she is willing to see yours after.]
"Whoa…" Every Cul-de-sac Kid was stunned.
"Kids these days and their technology…" Matt sighed. "These Galarian guys might be more advanced than most of us."
As everyone gathered around Gold and Jewel, they saw the postcards left by Eddy and his new posse.
"No way!" Kevin was stunned.
In the first picture, there were the Eds, Hop, Gloria, Victor and Peonia. Not to mention, Ms Sonia or the strange creatures next to them, or the strange food that was in a huge pot in the center.
The next picture was Eddy's first time cooking some Curry as Ed was blowing some air into the fire, with Double Dee stirring the pot with Eddy blowing a chef's kiss.
And the final pic, was the girl who bullied Eddy, Gloria. Grappling Eddy into a lock and giving him a noogie.
[Say cheese!] Shouted Jewel's Rotom Phone as it took a picture of the Cul-de-sac Kids along with the Galarian children.
"We gotta go there!" Sarah exclaimed. "It's not fair that my good for nothing brother gets all the fun!"
"Isn't he supposed to be late for school, here in Peach Creek?" Asked Nazz.
"Apparently not," replied Erin. "Ed chose to stay over there and what did he call those again?... Oh yes, Pokémon."
"As a basic Pokémon trainer in Galar," Gold pointed out a rule. "When you're endorsed by the Teacher, Champion or Gym Leaders, your Gym Battles will be shown live on TV!"
"Ai can't wait for the Pokémon Live TV!" Replied Jewel. "Luckily, I have the App downloaded on my Rotom Phone!"
"Also, you think you wanna be a Pokémon trainer?" Asked Gold. "Aren't you the ones who Eddy said were bullying him back ho- MMPH!!"
"Bullying him back where?" Asked Erin, as she saw her daughter, Sarah, put her hand over Gold's mouth.
"We were just playing bully!" Said Sarah. "The new game we play here! But it was sad that my brother couldn't play last night, and I miss him… Boohoo…"
Sarah winked at the Crew as she knew her plan was working.
"Mmmm! Mmmmff mmmm!" Gold bit Sarah's hand as Sarah screamed out.
"HEY, BUB, WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?!" Sarah yelled out.
"Now Sarah, it's not nice to yell at our guests, NOR put your hands over their mouths." Replied Erin. "Or do I have to send you to anger management class?!"
Sarah yelped as she sat back down. If there was one person who could scare her, it was her mom. "No, mom! I won't yell at him again!"
"Good, because I want you to know that while we kids can have Pokémon, none of us can legally compete! So the other three besides the retainer boy can compete." Gold continued.
"Awww…" Jimmy moped but then he got an idea. "Wait, that must mean, we got the whole Cul-de-sac to ourselves!"
"We'll be fine as long as these chumps don't bite me, again!" Said Sarah.
"Good!" Gold went back to eating his burger.
"As you guys want, you guys better hurry up and catch up to the bus." Said Jewel. "Also, the starter bunch needs a team of 3 or 6. You should be good for now."
"Yeah, but what would Rolf say?" Asked Jonny.
"Oh shoot, forgot about Rolf!" Kevin facepalmed and that's when it literally hit him. "Hey, Nazz!"
"Um, yeah, Kevin?" Asked Nazz.
"Didn't you say that Rolf has his cousin and a transfer student?!" Kevin asked at a hurried pace.
"Um, yeah? Why?" Asked Nazz.
"To Rolf's place!" Kevin ordered as the Cul-de-sac Kids ran to Rolf's place.
"What was THAT all about?" Asked Matt as the parents shrugged.
[Rolf's Backyard: Cul-de-sac Kids; Kevin, Nazz, Jonny, Rolf and Ali]
[Ost: Floccesy Ranch]
"And that should be, good, cousin." Replied Rolf's older Cousin.
Ali was kind of like Rolf but much taller and more hairy, on the arms and his stomach, but not much to be said about his unibrow since he had none. He wore a blue shirt with a red stripe, signaling the Galarian Souvenir, but he also wore blue jeans as Rolf. He also had some red shoes like Rolf. And furthermore, he had a small chin beard, along with his hair color, blue.
"Tally Ho!" Rolf alerted everyone as he turned on the faucet, and let loose a hose full of water on the fruit and vegetable produce, but soaking everyone in the process. "And yet, another well soiled job completed, ya?"
"Hey Rolf!" Jonny alerted the two immigrant cousins.
"Salutations, dear ally." Said Ali. "What may we help you with?"
"We're going on an adventure to where the Eds are at!" Nazz smiled. "And we were hoping that you, your cousin and that student could come by and help us!"
"Uh, what?" Asked Ali.
"Bah!" Rolf spit on the ground. "Book glued Rasazy girl is stubborn like a mule to do chores, so why this request you ask of Rolf?!"
"Because Farmwork is not the only thing a student should do?" Asked Nazz.
"Touché, Go Go Nazz Girl…" Rolf admitted. "But even so,the student MUST assist Rolf if she were to assist Rolf on such daily tasks. But what was it you say of those Long Gone Ed Boys?"
"They chose to stay away in a far away land, with these powerful creatures, and we're thinking we should go visit them!" Said Jonny with a smile on his face.
"What?" Asked Ali. "Far away? Then why call on us when my plane is about to come on this day?"
"Ah, yes!" Rolf replied. "Sadly, Cousin Ali is leaving today for Galar."
"Wow, really?!" Asked Nazz with glistening eyes.
"Take us there!" Kevin ordered.
"But be advised," Ali replied. "Galar is a strange place, even for me. So that's why I pre-ordered my Pokémon from Professor Magnolia and even got tickets, though I don't know why she handed me six…"
"That's choice!" Kevin snapped his finger. "Now, can Rasazy join?"
"Alright, let Rolf go and get her…" Rolf grumbled as he walked inside of his house and got out Rasazy.
Rasazy was a Russian Girl, a transfer student with a gray sweater, a black skirt, white stockings, white sneakers, and black shorts underneath her skirt. She also had a headband with a symbol about books. She had no such Russian accent, but seemed to be of a nerd girl accent and tone.
"What do you need from me this time, farmer boy?" Asked Rasazy.
"YOU DO NOT SPEAK OF ROLF IN THAT WAY, VILE WOMAN!" Rolf yelled at Rasazy.
"That's it?" Asked Rasazy, unamused.
"Hey!" Kevin hopped over the fence. "Mind if you join us on an adventure to kick the dorks' butts?!"
"By that, you mean your peers, huh?" Asked Rasazy. "Sure, if it'll take me away from that Farm."
The kids celebrated as they're a full team of six.
[Wedgehurst: Ed Boys]
"So lemme get this straight…" Eddy recapped. "You just beat the Pokémon down, NOT ENOUGH TO PULP, but enough to put them inside an Empty Ball… HOW COME I'M NOT THE ONE GETTING ANYTHING IF IT WAS THAT EASY?!"
"Probably because Double Dee got two new Party members?" Asked Ed.
Double Dee shrugged. "Why yes, while I have both Radar and Monarch, my Blipbug and Caterpie, respectively, if you may, I do believe it's about personal preference. Maybe something about these Pokémon here is not your cup of tea, no pun intended on the Native Speakers here."
"Well don't blame me if Route 1 had nothing good!" Eddy replied. The Rookidee simply reminded him of the birds back home, and it was NOT a pleasant memory about birds whenever it reminded him of a failed scam over and over again. And simply put, the Nickit were a little sneaky, CLOSE TO HIS TASTE, but battlewise, they don't seem that good in battle, other than improving the taste of Retro Battles that Leon showed him.
Ed looked at the Party's Pokédex.
Blipbug was a small Pokémon resembling a caterpillar. The top half of his large head was dark blue, while the bottom half was peach. He had large white and gray eyes that resemble glasses. Three sets of two hairs stick out of his head at the top and sides of the top. His neck was surrounded by a large blue "collar", and four yellow hairs similar to the ones on Blipbug's head stick out sideways from the front. His body was long, divided into a white, yellow, and larger blue segment. His four stubby, peach-colored legs were located on its underside of the upper half of the body. A blue hair like the ones on his head appears also on the tail, but at a smaller proportion.
And Caterpie was also a worm-like Pokémon but was mainly green in color with a tan underside. Just below his head were four, tiny legs that were used only for movement. On top of his head was a red, "y-shaped" antenna, which can be used to produce an odor used in self-defense, in case something tries to hurt it, like when Ed almost stepped on it. Sure, Ed likes smelly things, but it somehow made him obey and hug the creature instead.
And Ed, then, went to check the Pokédex for the creatures on his Pokédex app.
"Blipbug, the Larva Pokémon. A constant collector of information, this Pokémon is very smart. Very strong is what it isn't. Often found in gardens, this Pokémon has hairs on its body that it uses to assess its surroundings."
"Caterpie, the Worm Pokémon. For protection, it releases a horrible stench from the antenna on its head to drive away enemies. Its short feet are tipped with suction pads that enable it to tirelessly climb slopes and walls."
"Technology is great!" Ed exclaimed. "It lets you call, play games, date, and even let you read books without the hassle of being dark!"
"Yeah, I wonder how much THESE cost!" Eddy smiled as he took a photo of himself.
[I'm not for sale, Eddy.] His Rotom Phone replied. [I am a Pokémon inhabiting a device! In order for you to sell them, you must craft this expensive thing known as a Smartphone, and then let a Pokémon called Rotom live inside it as it does any other machine.]
"ANY machine?" Double Dee asked.
[Why yes, WE ROTOM LOVE TO LIVE IN ELECTRONICS!] Double Dee's Rotom Phone exclaimed. [Some people keep us in their house while others use us for battle, even IF we're stuck in a machine!]
"Whoa…" Ed pictured it as he battles Pokémon with a giant Toaster Robot Rotom as it dominates the league and becomes Champion. "I want a TOASTER ROBOT ROTOM!"
[Heehee!] Ed's Rotom Phone giggled. [I wish we could do such things, but it depends on how strong the Rotom is with the Appliances. Although, it wouldn't hurt to build a Toaster Robot like you said, Ed!]
"Well, let's keep going!" Eddy replied. "I don't want Gloria catching up to us!"
"How about Victor or Hop?" Asked Ed.
"How about NEITHER?!" Eddy responded as he left up to Route 2. Ed shrugged at Double Dee as they both went up at Route 2.
[Wedgehurst: Hop, Victor and Gloria]
"Well, we made it to Wedgehurst!" Hop exclaimed.
"Good, because Ah'm about to strangle the American for starting first without us!" Gloria groaned as she stretched.
"You mean Eddy? What's the deal with you and Eddy?" Asked Victor. "Since he arrived in Galar, it seems like all you do is pick on him! And I heard he has a bully back at home, so why do the same?!"
"It's because Ah hate cheeky Americans… Everyone Ah know is mostly a punk or a punk, there's no other weh!" Gloria turned around and crossed her arms.
"And what does that make me?" Asked Victor.
This was a tough one. Gloria was meant to be a strong girl, especially because of her Scottish Pride, but ever since she arrived at Galar, Victor was her closest friend, a friend who never judged Gloria for the way she was. They even share the same house, and the reason why was because of personal matters with an abusive family when she was young. And since then, Victor's House became Gloria's house, too. But it didn't change there, Victor was most likely her step brother, but a closest friend who would DARE not have a crush on her. Maybe it's because he already handed his true love a kiss before she left for America, from what she heard from Jewel. But even so, this was why she hates Americans, because they take everyone good and leave everything bad here. So who knows what may be the cause of Victor's mellowness and shyness around Gloria, but whatever it was, ALL AMERICANS had the blame, and that's why she picked on Eddy. Ed was a more rude type of person who she did not expect, but he's just a clumsy idiot who didn't know better, but it was America's high education system that was supposed to be responsible for that. And unlike the person she liked the most out of all of them, by a block of hate, Ed and Eddy seemed to be the underdogs of the trio. The geeky one was
somewhat alien, nothing that could've come out of America, unless there was a secret Galarian lab that builds boys like Double Dee. But he was the nicest out of the bunch. And who knew he could make the most out of a superfood when it came to curry? Specifically, Quinoa Curry. And even SHE didn't like it, but it helped to stop the grief of having thick thighs. And they said Americans like girls with thick thighs… Boy was she wrong… or was there something Eddy was hiding?
"Ye're just a friend, Vic…" Gloria sighed. "Ah couldn't possibly put you down to all the rest… But you're still a bloody sod…"
"Talk about losing the plot." Hop replied.
"Shut up, Hop.." Gloria huffed. "I hate everyone…"
"Perhaps you need a minute alone." Hop replied as he and Victor walked to the Pokémon Center, leaving Gloria to stand there with her arms crossed.
"Hey, I think we hurt her feelings…" Victor said with a sorry look.
"It's not your fault, and neither it's mine. Sometimes Gloria can be hard on herself. I wonder if there's some things she's not telling us…" Hop replied.
"And if that's so… I want to know why she does this, and why Eddy." Victor replied.
Seconds passed as Hop and Victor returned back to Gloria.
"So, um, Gloria?" Hop asked with a bit of pity in himself. "How do you feel?"
"Doing great, why don't ye ask yer mother for that, will ya?" Gloria replied.
"Gloria, we're sorry for being too mean. Let's just continue the adventure." Said Victor. "So the next stop should be Professor Magnolia's house. Also known as Ms Sonia's grandmum."
"Why don't we just head to the wild area?" Asked Gloria.
"Because when Hop and I left, the train wasn't ready." Said Victor.
"Oh, so ye TRIED going on an adventure without meh, eh?" Asked Gloria.
"It's not that, I had to restock on Pokéballs." Said Victor.
"Yer problem…" Gloria turned away.
"Maybe that's where Eddy may be facing if the Train's shut down." Said Hop.
"Well then, let's KICK THAT PUNK'S BUTTOCKS!" Gloria cheered as she ran ahead.
"Gloria! Wait up!" Hop and Victor chased after Gloria.
[Wedgehurst: Ed Boys]
The Ed Boys appeared from the Pokémon Center door, as they saw Hop, Gloria and Victor running by, not noticing them from the running.
"Whoa… Was that Gloria, Hop and Beanie Man?" Asked Ed.
"It looked like they were." Said Double Dee.
"How was I supposed to know my Pokémon would be low on health?!" Eddy yelled, not noticing the Galarian Trio on their way. "I mean, I should be stronger than any Pokémon from the grass!"
"Perhaps the more we advance, the more we have to struggle, Eddy." Said Double Dee, shaking his head in pity.
"Stronger, huh?" Asked Eddy as his anger turned into a smirk. "Then I should go catch one!"
"Easier said than done, Eddy." Double Dee calmly argued. "Though it may be easier if we battled alongside you for the remainder until we can find you a perfect Pokémon."
Eddy groaned and rolled his eyes. "There's gotta be a good Pokémon somewhere! There just HAS TO BE!"
"Patience is key, Eddy." Double Dee reminded his high tempered friend. "Perhaps there's more than just Rookidee and Nickit. Speaking of which, we haven't even scanned them yet, I wonder if our rivals have one of each?"
"Oh sure, like ANYONE will own one of those…" Eddy said sarcastically.
"Maybe not everyone has to agree with your opinions at best. And so, they might even grab one of these mons that make even the least sense to you, so I wouldn't be bickering about something small if I were you." Double Dee described the situation as a pointless one.
"Fine!" Eddy barked. "Let's just go!"
Once again, the Ed Boys left for Route 2, to embark on their journey.
"Why are we going to Route 2, Double Dee?" Asked Ed.
"Because, Ed, the trains aren't fully operational, and so, we must keep marching on. Who knows what amazing discovery you may find?!" Double Dee said enthusiastically.
"Oh boy, maybe I can find a new Monster for my team!" Ed replied with a smile on his face.
[Route 2 South : The Eds]
Once again, back on their feet, the Ed Boys ran to the route on their way.
"Hey, Eddy!" Ed called out. "I found some new monsters for your team!"
"Oh yeah, Ed? It better not be those stupid birds or those foxes!" Eddy ran to Ed in hopes of some new Pokémon, who he held in his arms. "Huh?"
Double Dee scanned the Pokémon.
"Zigzagoon, Galarian Form, the Tiny Raccoon Pokémon. Its restlessness has it constantly running around. If it sees another Pokémon, it will purposely run into them in order to start a fight. Thought to be the oldest form of Zigzagoon, it moves in zigzags and wreaks havoc upon its surroundings."
Zigzagoon was a small quadrupedal raccoon-like Pokémon. It has a black and white zigzag pattern lining its shaggy fur that grows in segmented patches along its body. Its front paws were black, and its back legs were white. Much like a raccoon, Zigzagoon has a black mask marking surrounding its beady eyes, but the color of its eyes were red, and unlike any other raccoon, this one has the shape of a star shaped sunglasses, or that of a Rockstar. It has short white ears and a round black nose. Its tail is striped, ending in a thick fuzzy bush.
"My, my!" Double Dee looked at his Pokédex app. "What Ed found is a regional variant! According to this Pokédex, this is an original form! BUT, there's no other variants like this one!"
"I like your style, little guy!" Eddy smiled as it suddenly began chasing Ed, who had the Pokémon in his arms for far too long.
"(OH YEAH, WANNA ROCK NOW, PUNK?!)" The Zigzagoon barked at Ed as it chased him.
"Eddy, help me!" Ed ordered as he suddenly remembered flashbacks of the dog in his neighborhood.
"Oh yeah! Let's go!" Eddy smirked as he took out a Pokéball.
[Wild Battle Begin!]
[Ost: FFX: Normal Battle Theme]
The Ed Boys faced off against the Zigzagoon as Ed sat behind the other two Ed Boys.
"Phew…" Ed sighed in relief.
[A Wild G-Zigzagoon appeared!]
"Leave it to us, Ed!" Double Dee replied with a serious face as he pulled out a Pokéball. "Monarch, we require your assistance!"
"Come on out, Willow!" Eddy threw his Pokéball along with Double Dee, summoning the Caterpie and Scorbunny as they cried out.
"(Let's battle!)" Willow and Monarch replied. "(Jynx, Jynx Blackout, you owe me a Sitrus Berry! Darn it!)
"(YOU WANNA ROCK?!)" Shouted the Zigzagoon.
"(Oh yeah, we can rock alright!)" Willow raised her little paws up. "(Question is, are you?!)"
Eddy swiped his arm out. "Willow, use Ember!"
"(Oh yeah… I fight for THIS GUY…)" Willow groaned, but then shrugged. "(No matter, let's go!)"
Willow kicked up the ground and then ignited it with her feet to spark some small embers of fire on Zigzagoon!
[Wild G-Zigzagoon used Lick!]
The Zigzagoon slipped his tongue out, ran to Willow and LICKED HER!
"(Ick! I've been licked!)" Willow shivered.
"(You taste GOOD, girl!)" The Zigzagoon flirted with Willow.
"(GROSS!)" Willow cringed.
"Monarch, use Tackle Attack!" Double Dee called out.
"(My turn! Ha!)" The Worm Pokémon wiggled and headbutted into the Zigzagoon!
The Zigzagoon was weak, until it called for help.
"(WILL SOMEONE LEND ME A HAND?! I NEED A GUEST FEATURE FOR THIS STAGE!)" Zigzagoon called out.
[G-Zigzagoon called for help!]
[Suddenly, a wild Rookidee appeared!]
Rookidee was a small avian Pokémon resembling a chickadee. Its face was covered by a black "mask" that extended into small protrusions on top of its eyes and beak and extended downward under its wings to divide the belly from the rest of its rounded body. Its eyes were red with no visible pupils and semicircle-shaped white markings underneath them. Its beak was short and gray, with the top half larger than the bottom half. Its back, tail, and wings were blue, while its belly was yellow. Its legs and feet are long and gray.
"Yes, my chance at scanning one!" Double Dee smiled as he took his Pokédex app and scanned it.
"Rookidee, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. It will bravely challenge any opponent, no matter how powerful. This Pokémon benefits from every battle even a defeat increases its strength a bit. Jumping nimbly about, this small-bodied Pokémon takes advantage of even the slightest opportunity to disorient larger opponents."
"Another birdie?!" Asked Ed, taking out his Pokéball. "I'm going in! Come on out, Mary!"
Ed tossed out his Pokéball and summoned his Wooloo.
"(I'm here!)" The female Wooloo baa'd. "(And for my first battle as Ed's Pokémon!)"
"Here we go!" Ed pumped his fist up. "Mary! Attack with Tackle attack on the Birdie!"
"(Fore!)" The Wooloo rolled into a ball and tackled the Rookidee!
[A critical hit!]
"Wow, my Pokémon did a lot!" Ed smiled. "Good job, Mary! I knew I can count on you!"
The female Wooloo blushed as a pink heart fluttered from her.
[The Wild Rookidee fainted!]
The wild bird Pokémon fell from battle with swirls in its eyes as aura seeped from its body as it disappeared.
"(OH NO!)" The Zigzagoon gulped. "(I'M DOOMED!)"
"And now!" Eddy loaded an empty Pokéball. "Go! Pokéball!"
[Minigame Activated: Pokémon Lottery]
[Eddy had low chances with this mon, since it was the strongest one out of the grass, and since this minigame will prove that even lottery games can be used in Pokémon, this will help improve on gameplay ratings!]
Eddy rolled a Lucky Berry, a Pikachu, and a Pikachu! The Lucky Berry morphed into a boost and sealed a small Jackpot!
"Heeyah!" Eddy threw the Pokéball into a screwball and the ball sucked in the Galarian Zigzagoon inside, and sealed itself.
The symbols of electricity sparked as it began to shake once… twice… THRICE!... DING!
[GOTCHA! G-Zigzagoon has been caught!]
The Ed Boys cheered as Eddy picked up his Pokéball.
"MY FIRST POKÉMON CATCH!" Eddy yelled on the top of his lungs. "I shall call you, 'Gene', cause you ROCK!"
[Battle Over]
[Route 2 South: The Ed Boys]
The Ed Boys recovered with some medicine they bought from the Pokémon Center as they finished their celebration for Eddy's first catch.
"Hey!" A youngster shouted. "You have Pokémon right?!"
"Um, yeah? Who doesn't?" Asked Eddy, confused.
"Well then, I challenge you to a Pokémon battle!" The youngster smirked. "My name is Jake and I'm the best of the best! Prepare to lose!"
"Do I have to?" Asked Eddy.
"Yes! It's trainer law!" Exclaimed Jake. "If you decline then you must give me some of your money!"
"This is a robbery!" Eddy yelled back. "Oh well, but don't cry to me when you lose!"
[Trainer Battle begins!]

Jake posed, and took out a loaded Pokéball.
[Youngster Jake wants to battle!]
"Let's go! Skwovet!" Jake summoned his first and only Pokémon.
"(Let's Brawl, Gov'nuh!)" The Pokémon squeaked.
Skwovet was a small, slightly plump Pokémon that resembled a gray squirrel. True to the name of its species, it had round cheeks and a cheeky smile. It had an orange nose and orange "freckle" markings on the tops of its cheeks. Its fur was mostly tan, but the tip of its tail and ears were dark brown. It also had orange markings at the base of its ears, and the areas around its eyes and its somewhat engorged belly were pale brown. It had short arms and legs, thick, rounded thighs, and was somewhat chubby.
Ed scanned the Pokémon with his Pokédex app.
"Skwovet, the Cheeky Pokémon. Found throughout the Galar region, this Pokémon becomes uneasy if its cheeks are ever completely empty of berries. It eats berries non stop—a habit that has made it more resilient than it looks. It'll show up on farms, searching for yet more berries."
"Be careful, Eddy! This Monster looks like the one from Invasion of Squirrels Series, the Scary Movie that scared me as a kid!" Ed replied.
"Don't we all in that one adventure?…" Eddy groaned. He remembered Squirrels on his Mis-Edventures, and they were NOT pleasant. Luckily, there's now a way to make up for being bitten for all those days. "Doesn't matter when I beat your overgrown rodent to powder! Let's go, Gene!"
Eddy summoned his new Pokémon and began battling.
"(ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!)" Gene cried out eagerly.
"(You wanna throw hands, gov'nuh?!)" The Skwovet squeaked at Gene.
"(YOU BET I AM! SO GET YOUR EARMUFFS CUZ I'M GOING ALL LOUD!)" Gene cackled.
"That's the spirit, Gene!" Eddy cheered. "Use Tackle attack!"
The Galarian Zigzagoon rushed to the Skwovet and tackled the small squirrel!
"(That hurt, gov'nuh!)" The Skwovet squeaked loudly.
"Retaliate with YOUR OWN Tackle attack, Skwovet!" Jake ordered.
"(This is gonna hurt Gov'nor!)" The Skwovet ran like the wind and tackled Gene with the same force, but jot enough power!
"WHAT?!" Jake was shocked. "How did that not hurt?!"
"My guess is it lacked the proper training." Said Double Dee. "It must be weaker than Eddy's Pokémon!"
"Oh yeah, it's stronger alright!" Eddy pumped his fist in the air. "FINISH IT WITH TACKLE!"
The Zigzagoon tackled Skwovet one last time, until-
"Block it with Tackle!" Jake ordered.
"WHAT?!" Eddy was stunned in anger.
Suddenly, the Pokémon were pushing each other with a Physical Move that was exactly the same.
(Minigame Idea: Spam That Button!)
[Uh oh, Eddy's Pokémon is in a pickle. Spam the button shown on the screen to push that foe's Pokémon away!]
During the spam button game, Gene overpowered Jake's Skwovet and Double Tackled Skwovet back to Jake!
"(AND, CURTAIN!)" Gene stuck his tongue out.
"THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT!" Eddy cheered.
"No!" Jake groaned. "Skwovet, return…"
Jake returned his Pokémon back into his Pokéball.
[Eddy defeated Youngster Jake!]
"It was this fight that sparked your adventure…" Jake admitted defeat.
[Battle Over]
"Yes! We did it!" Eddy cheered on.
"(WE ROCK!)" Gene exclaimed.
"As a victory prize, you get to pass me AND keep some of my money…." Jake handed Eddy some of his money as Eddy's eyes lit up with dollar signs.
"YAY! WE GET MONEY!" Eddy yelled. "Does this mean every battle that I get to keep the loser's money?!"
"It's according to Trainer Law." Said Jake.
"Awesome!" Eddy grinned happily. "Let's go collect MORE money, boys! I smell fame and fortune headed my way!"
Eddy ran ahead and laughed all the way.
"At least save us some trainers!" Double Dee exclaimed as he ran ahead.
"Excuse my friends, they are herbivores and have the NEED to collect the greens known as dollars." Said Ed as he walked towards his friends. "And also don't mind me, I'm just a Buttered Toast and Gravy-vore! And don't forget Jawbreaker-vore!"
Jake looked at you, the reader, in confusion. "I give money to people like THIS? Can't this day get any weirder?"
[Route 2 North, Magnolia's House: Hop, Victor and Gloria]
"We're here, ye weasels!" Gloria shouted out with great glee of defeating the Ed Boys. But to her luck, there was no one there, but Leon and Magnolia. "Huh?"
"Well, it looks like Eddy's not here." Said Hop. "Hey, look! There's the Professor!"
Up ahead, were Leon and an old lady in a lab coat, having a chat.
"So have you unraveled all the secrets of the Dynamaxing Phenomenon yet?" Asked Leon.
"Oh goodness, no. The whole thing is still full of questions." Replied the old lady. "I'd hoped that my granddaughter would take over my research, but…"
Just as Hop, Victor and Gloria were about to step a foot closer… The Ed Boys came running.
"WAIT FOR ME!" Eddy came running.
Gloria huffed. "Yer late, American, as always with the curfew at bedtime…"
"We'll SO-RRY!" Eddy yelled sarcastically. "But I just have battles to win and money to get!"
"Oh, need a fiver after that long walk, shrimpeh?" Gloria waved a pound sarcastically.
"A fiver?" Asked Eddy.
"A five pound note, Eddy. In this case, money." Double Dee explained to Eddy.
"Oh yeah!" Eddy was about to grab the dollar but Gloria spun around, making Eddy fall and trip. "Oh my head…"
Gloria laughed and snorted at Eddy's fumble. "That'll teach ye!"
"Dear Gloria, maybe be a little bit easier on your friends…" said Victor with a look of pity on both Eddy and Gloria.
"What friends?" Asked Gloria.
The Old Lady and Leon walked to the kids.
Double Dee felt ashamed about Eddy's behavior.
"Dear me, I'm sorry." Said the Old Lady. "I didn't even notice my guests."
"We're really sorry, Ma'am, for all the commotion that happened out here." Said Double Dee.
"WE?!" Gloria shouted at Double Dee as Hop elbowed her stomach. "Ah mean- yes!… We…"
"Even Eddy, your majesty!" Ed bowed at the Old Lady as she giggled like a sweet old lady.
"My head…" Eddy groaned.
"Anyways, my name is Magnolia. Welcome young trainers." The Professor revealed herself.
"MY NAME IS ED!" Ed exclaimed. "The one on the ground like a squashed cockroach is Eddy! To my right is Double Dee, emphasis on the Dee!"
Double Dee sheepishly waved at the Professor.
"And-" Victor was about to introduce his team, but Ed butted in.
"This is Victor! One of Rolf's pet sheep!" Ed explained with his eyes dilated from each other.
"Correction: It was his farm goat." Double Dee corrected Ed as Gloria began to giggle.
"That's funny, Victor the Farm Pokémon!" Gloria began to snort.
"And I think Gloria was his pet cow." Said Ed.
"I think that was Beatrice, Ed." Double Dee corrected Ed once more as a ticked off Gloria began to chase Ed.
"WHY YE DARE CALL ME A COW, YE PIG?!" Gloria chased Ed.
Ed laughed while running."At least Gloria has some nice milkies!"
[Horns and snare]
Everybody stopped at Ed's comment, cringing on it.
"I mean the cow." Ed explained.
"Once again, that's Beatrice, Ed." Double Dee forgave Ed. "But please don't do Innuendoes ever again. We did that in the last chapter and got an awful rating."
"Fair enough, though there's nothing wrong with a lucky rabbit's foot." Ed replied. "Thank you very much!"
[Horns and snare]
"Nice joke." Said Magnolia. "Now come, let's head indoors."
Magnolia replied as she and Leon headed inside.
"She should've said come inside-" Ed suddenly got his mouth covered by all five kids, and one from himself for some reason.
"Ed! NO!" The Kids replied.
[Horns and snare]
"My bad." Ed explained. "It's not my fault I only choose to be good in English like Scooby-Doo in his 3D Movie. The one with Dastardly in it!"

[Magnolia's House: Ed, Edd, Eddy, Hop, Victor and Gloria]
Inside Professor Magnolia's House, the Kids suddenly walked to the professor in the living room.
"Why, Hop, dear." Magnolia looked at Hop's Team. "I see Wooloo has made some new friends."
The Ed Boys looked at the Pokéballs Hop contained on his backpack. And it was true, in that matter. Counting a Rookidee, his Charmander, and what appeared to be a Grookey. Now that they thought of it, Gloria also had a Scorbunny while Victor had a Sobble.
"Since when did you guys get so lucky?!" Eddy asked with envy.
"And of course, I know your names since that tall green boy introduced me to every one of you." Professor Magnolia tipped her glasses. "As for you all, I trust you graduated and received the Pokédex from Sonia. I'm sure you'll have it complete in no time!"
"Gotta catch 'em all, do I?" Asked Gloria.
"You must already know about Dynamaxing, right?" Asked Leon.
"Yes!" Said Hop, Victor and Gloria.
"Dyna, what?!" Asked the Ed Boys.
"Professor Magnolia's been doing research into the Dynamax phenomenon for years and years." Leon added to his introduction about Magnolia. "And it takes a proper understanding of the thing if you plan to use Dynamaxing to the fullest!"
Professor Magnolia chuckled. "There you go again, Leon, always talking about Pokémon. There are other things that are worth knowing about, too, you know. Like how many types of Tea there are."
"Hey, Professor, do us a favor, would you?" Hop asked. "Help me convince Lee he should endorse us for the gym challenge!"
"KANKERS!!" Ed ran underneath a table and hid there.
"Huh?" Hop asked.
"Lee… is the name for a Kanker we know back home." Double Dee sheepishly replied.
"A Kanker? Somebody in America has my brother's nickname for me? Cool!" Leon replied.
"Leon. Now's not the time to change the subject." Magnolia ordered. "Why wouldn't you endorse them?"
"Huh? Oh!" Leon faced Magnolia. "Hop, his friends, and I think Ed, Edd and Eddy, too, just started off as Pokémon Trainers. There's still loads they don't know yet."
"Yeah, kind of how there's loads I don't know about why you don't carry a map." Eddy roasted Leon as the kids laughed a bit.
"You got me." Leon nervously chuckled.
"Dearie…" replied Magnolia adding a chuckle of her own. "Also, Ed, Edd N Eddy, a catchy name of a trio. Anyways, Leon, I thought your dream was to have everyone in the Galar region become strong trainers. Isn't that right? Well… also adding a twist of Canadian Americans in the mix wouldn't hurt."
"No thanks, we already got endorsed." Said Double Dee.
"Well, yeah… you're not wrong." Leon crossed his arms.
"That goal's precisely the reason I gave them all Pokémon, in fact. Minus the Americans, since they're Sonia's graduates and- wait a minute, did you say Canadian Americans?" Asked Leon as he shook his head off the mind blowing fact about the Ed Boys.
"Ye didn't tell me ye're part Canadian?!" Gloria was shocked.
"That would be me, Ms Gloria." Said Double Dee. "My Mom was born on the Rarest Galarian Side of Canada, while my dad was born on the Kalonian Side, or in this case. (That should be enough for a nod to both Galarian Eds and Edventures in Kalos, right?)"
"You didn't tell me you're part Galarian?!" Asked Eddy.
"And Kalonian." Said Ed.
"Legal Paper Issue." Said Double Dee. "So we had to settle in Peach Creek for a while, and that's when my mom and dad found the nearest transit to their work. And so we settled down in Peach Creek…"
"Lucky…" said Victor.
"Real lucky." Said Hop.
"Right, then. In that case… how about this?" Asked Leon. "Let's see if all six of you can show me such a brilliant battle that I'm left with no choice but to endorse you. Of course, the CANADIAN Americans will get a special treat from me. While the rest of you get endorsed by me. And don't worry. I'll make sure all your teams are in good shape before the battle starts. Now BEHOLD, a secret recipe by moi!"
Leon sprayed a Fog of Potion in the room that smelled like fresh laundry, that also replenished all of the Galarian Kids and the Ed Boys' Pokémon HP and PP!
[Leon's secret recipe fills your team up with hope and strength to fight once more! The fresh smell of it fills you up with determination and seems to spark embers, dew drops, and sprouts of energy!]
[PP and HP replenished!]
As Ed looked, his Pokéballs were opened, sucking in the moisture from the fog, healing his Pokémon. The same must be done for the others, he thought.
As the fog faded, the Ed Boys and the Galarian Kids were stunned in awe.
"You like that?" Asked Leon. "Not everyone can pull that trick with a bottle."
"Looks like I'll have to craft a recipe of my own if that's the case." Said Double Dee.
"Excuse me?" Asked Leon.
"Oh, pardon me, I'm an inventor." Double Dee explained himself. "I'm pretty handy at crafting out of everyday stuff, including the stuff around my backyard."
"Ah." Said Leon. "In that case, good luck."
"Right! I'll be waiting outside! See you there, Victor and Gloria!" Said Hop as he ran outside. "You too, Ed Boys!"
"Now remember, be sure to give it everything you got!" Magnolia cheered.

"Ah'll be sure to battle it out with Eddy!" Said Gloria with a smirk.
"You're on!" Eddy prepared himself as they both left outside.
"Ready for an all time battle, for the endorsements." Said Victor.
"Alright! One for all of the titles of Monster King!" Ed exclaimed as he left to battle outside with Victor.
"Well, I might as well get going." Said Double Dee. "And thank you for this glorious meeting, Professor Magnolia."
"No, thank YOU. Oh, and by the way." Professor Magnolia asked. "About the Types of Tea, think you can collect all the Tea out here in Galar? In addition, I'll lend you a Curry Cookbook that was one of my Great Granddaughter's spare."
"Why yes." Double Dee accepted.
"Oh, and you want to know about what Leon was planning to give you?" Asked Magnolia.
"I don't know, exactly, what could it be?" He asked.
"Well, it's an Endorsement Sash." Said Magnolia. "Of course, Capes are for Heroes of Galar, and you have to have a strong physique to carry one. So a Sash will do. Stay right there."
Magnolia walked on her cane and left for Ms Sonia's room to get a spare Sash for Double Dee. Double Dee then wore the Sash around his neck like a scarf. What he noticed was an Endorsement already placed on it… "Magnolia Research".
"That's right." Said Magnolia. "With that endorsement, for every Two Victories, you will automatically get transported a Random Common Rarity Tea Ingredient from none other than Magnolia Research. I hope you make the best of it."
"Will do, Professor!" Double Dee felt honored as he left outside.
[Route 2 North: Ed Boys and Galarian Kids]
Double Dee did a little exploring, as he went behind Magnolia's House and found a Strange Disk.
[Double Dee found TM57: Payback!]
Double Dee placed it in his Bag as he set out to get back on his adventure.
He suddenly met Ed and Eddy by the Lake's Edge to where Eddy was facing Gloria and Ed was facing Hop and Victor was waiting for an opponent.
Double Dee then walked around to collect more items such as a Great Ball and a Fresh Water, and then he headed out the gate.
"Hurry up, Double Dee!" Hop exclaimed. "You gotta battle with us so I can get myself that endorsement!"
And so, Double Dee sided with his Cul-de-sac Friends, the best ones he can depend on by far, and stood opposing the others.
"Here I am!" Double Dee exclaimed.
"I'm going to become the greatest Pokémon Trainer there is!" Hop bragged. "And to do that, I need that endorsement to take part in the Gym Challenge! So come at me with everything you have so we can prove to Lee that we've got what it takes!"
Hop posed with a Pokéball out to cup it in his other hand like a fist in a cup. Gloria posed with a Pokéball in her right hand as she raised her fists. Victor posed with his Pokéball in his left hand, flipping it around and catching it.
Ed posed with his head leaning forward and his Pokéball ready to be tossed out. Double Dee posed with his Pokéball ready to be thrown by a karate chop. And as for Eddy, he posed with a Pokéball on his right and his left hand pointed up like a disco dance!
Magnolia came out near Leon.
"I'm rather interested in seeing all six of you young Trainers battle, too." Magnolia explained. "But before you do, let me remind you that in this region, we have a Star Rating. The First Star is for using as many Pokémon equal to your opponent's. The Second Star is for Items, normally in a Gym, you're only allowed 4 items before you call in your bag, breaking the Star. The Third Star is for Time, the lower your time consumption is, the higher chances of keeping the Third Star. The Fourth Star is Technique, of course, this is the easier Stars, for battling with a Variety of Pokémon, and no repeats, you are given this Star. And the Final and Fifth Star, you must Win, it's that simple."
"Listen, every one of you." Leon explained. "The reason I'm unbeatable is because I learn from every battle I see or take part in. That's how I've gotten to where I am today. So show me something good in this battle!"
"It's time for my legend to begin!" Hop exclaimed as all 6 Trainers threw their Pokéballs inside the ring.
[Boss Battle #1: Hop, Gloria and Victor!]

Hop will use Wooloo and Charmander. Victor will use Nickit and Bulbasaur. Gloria will use Rookidee and Squirtle.

[Boss Battle Begin!]

[Hop sends out Wooloo, Victor sends out Nickit, and Gloria sends out Rookidee!]
Double Dee took the time to scan Nickit with his Pokédex app.
"Nickit, the Fox Pokémon. Aided by the soft pads on its feet, it silently raids the food stores of other Pokémon. It survives off its ill-gotten gains. Cunning and cautious, this Pokémon survives by stealing food from others. It erases its tracks with swipes of its tail as it makes off with its plunder."
Nickit was a fox-like Pokémon with a slender body and a large head relative to her body size. She had long, black ears, white spots on her head that resemble eyebrows, markings around her eyes that make her look like she's wearing a mask, and yellow eyes. She also had small white dots around her mask. Nickit had tuffs of fur on both sides of her head. She also had a white belly and chest; the rest of the fur was an orange-maroon. Her feet were black and her tail was long, had a black tip, and resembled a sack of stolen items.
[Go Mary, Monarch, and Gene!]
"Alright an even match!" Leon cheered. "Battle!"
"Wooloo, use Tackle Attack on Caterpie!" Gop ordered.
"Mary, counter it with YOUR Tackle Attack!" Ed called out.
"Rookidee, use yer Peck advantage that Worm!" Gloria ordered.
"Gene, Tackle that bird out of the way!" Eddy ordered.
"Nickit, Beat Up on the Foe's Wooloo!" Victor ordered.
"Monarch, String Shot defense on all of the foes!" Double Dee ordered.
"(Time for a battle to never forget!)" Hop's Wooloo rolled himself into a ball and tried rolling into Monarch, until Mary rolled into Wooloo and bounced each other off.
"(Oops!)" Mary giggled as she uncurled herself from a ball as she was suddenly beaten up by Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur, who all three jumped back into their Pokéballs! "(Owie!)"
"(Incoming!)" Rookidee flew to Monarch in attempts to peck it, but was stopped by Gene's Tackle! "(Hey!)"
"(LET'S ROCK AND ROLL!)" Gene cheered.
"(Here's MY attack!)" Monarch spat string out of his mouth onto the foes, which gave off a blue aura at all three of the foes!
[The foe's Pokémon team Speed fell!]
"You cheeky punk!" Gloria gritted her teeth at Double Dee.
"Never surrender!" Ed cheered his group.
[Ally team Spirit Rose!]
[Team Spirit Gauge is Full!]
A fiery white Aura rose from the Ed Boys and their Pokémon!
"That quick?!" Hop was surprised.
"My, it seems like my cheering had something to do with it!" Said Magnolia.
"It's time!" Eddy told his team. "Gene!"
"Monarch!" Double Dee followed.
"Mary!" Ed followed.
"TACKLE ATTACK FULL TEAM POWER!!" The Ed Boys cried out as their Aura flared.
"(LET'S GO!)" The Ally Pokémon flared up with Aura and then tackled full speed at the foe Pokémon at full power!
[Team Ed Boys used Full Team Powered Barrage!]
At a storming pace that sounded like a stampede, the Pokémon PLOWED THROUGH the foes, but unfortunately, two came at Rookidee and the other two came at Nickit! After the damage, the ally team had a blue aura, signaling their Defense Drop.
[Ally team Pokémon Defense Fell!]
[Foe Rookidee fainted!]
"(Oh no…)" The Rookidee fell to her side and was recalled to her Pokéball.
"Rookidee is unable to battle!" Leon announced.
Victor sweeped his arm. "Nickit, Beat Up on Caterpie!"
As the Caterpie was tired, he got attacked by Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur!
[Monarch fainted!]
"(Oh man…)" The Caterpie flopped on his four legs.
"Monarch!" Double Dee was shocked, as he took out a Pokéball and withdrew his fallen Pokémon. "An exceptionally well done battle. Rest up."
Hop ordered. "Don't let them defeat you, I'm counting on you!"
"(Here I come!)" Wooloo got his spirit charged as Hop's Aura flashed into a fiery white! "(It's time!)
"Wooloo!" Hop ordered as his Aura resonated with his Pokémon. "Use Tackle Attack, Full Power!"
"(Ewe got it!)" The Wooloo baa'd and rolled himself up into a ball, he then rolled into Ed's Wooloo's direction.
"Counter it!" Ed ordered.
"(*gulp* Here it goes!)" The Wooloo tackled into Hop's rolling Wooloo, but it only boosted his speed as it rolled around the house and rolled faster onto Route 2, and then ran over Mary as she flew up into the sky and crashed onto the ground taking up a Critical Hit!
[Mary fainted!]
"(I did… well…?)" Mary fell as she wobbled to her knees.
"Mary!" Ed took out his Pokéball and recalled her.
"Both Wooloo and Caterpie are unable to battle!" Leon announced.
"We're losing!" Eddy warned.
"Looks like it's up to you, Squirtle!" Gloria sent out her Water Type Starter Pokémon.
"Oh yeah?! Let's go, Kong!" Ed sent out his Grookey, his last Pokémon, his Grass Type.
"You're up next and our only hope, James!" Double Dee sent out his Water Pokémon.
"(A - are we in a boss battle?!)" Asked James.
"(Don't worry!)" Said Kong. "(We'll get through this!)"
"You know what?!" Asked Eddy. "Gene, come back!"
"(TAKE A BREAK!)" Gene shouted before retreating.
"Let's go, Willow!" Eddy called out as he summoned his Fire Pokémon.
"(Here we go!)" Willow raised her feet as she kept herself nimble.
"Alright, what's next couldn't possibly get worse!" Gloria replied to his team, raising their spirit points!
[Enemy Team Spirit Points rose slightly!]
"Willow! Double Kick on Hop's sheep!" Eddy ordered.
"(You're going down!)" Willow ran to Wooloo and kicked once on the ribs, hurting the Wooloo real badly! And she then kicked Wooloo once more on the leg, making him fall and faint!
[Wooloo fainted!]
"Wooloo! No!" Hop was shocked. "Your Scorbunny had Double Kick?!"
"Never knew she had it in herself, that's a fiery hot girl!" Eddy complimented as her Pokémon huffed.
"(Don't mention it…)" The Scorbunny returned to her side.
"James, use Water Pulse on the Nickit!" Double Dee ordered as his Pokémon took a deep breath, made an "O" with his front hands and then blew rings of water that shot out on the Pokémon!
[Nickit fainted!]
"Come back, Nickit, you did good!" Victor recalled his Pokémon.
"Both Wooloo and Nickit are unable to battle!" Leon announced.
"Alright, it's the final three!" Gloria told the team. "We can't lose now!"
"Let's go! Bulbasaur!" Victor called out.
"Come and get them, Charmander!" Hop shouted as he and Victor threw their Pokéballs to summon their starter Pokémon!
"The final stand!" Leon announced, "This is really a Champion Time!"
"Bulbasaur! Leech Seed on Sobble!" Victor ordered.
"Burn them out with Ember!" Eddy ordered.
Just as Bulbasaur shot some seeds out, Willow scorched them with Ember!
"Bubble on everyone!" Gloria ordered.
"Razor Leaf!" Ed followed with a counterattack!
The Razor Leaf plowed through the bubbles and hurt every foe on the field!
"Ember on Grookey!" Hop ordered his Charmander!
Ed was prepared for backup but he wasn't protected by Double Dee and James as Double Dee let Kong take the Ember attack from Charmander!
"(Ow, OW!)" The Grookey yelped.
Ed was confused, why didn't Double Dee protect him? But then it hit him… 'DOUBLE DEE HAS THE FINAL BULLET IN THIS TURN', he thought! And also, his Grookey's spirit Points rose up drastically!
"Show them a REAL Super Effective Hit, James!" Double Dee showed off. "Use Water Pulse against Charmander!"
"(G - Game Over!)" James exclaimed bravely as he sprayed another set of rings of water but this time at a Fire Type Pokémon!
[With enough Spirit, James landed a Critical Hit, wishing to be praised!]
"(Did I do good?)" Asked James with a pink heart fluttering from him.
"(No…!)" The Charmander fell on his side as swirls were in his eyes.
[Charmander fainted!]
"And Charmander faints for the first time!" Leon said with an excited tone.
"No! This cannot be!" Gloria growled. "Ye're too weak, Hop!!"
"That's not the only thing that'll get ya mad about it!" Eddy smirked. "Willow! Hit that Bulbasaur with Ember!"
"Follow it up with Scratch, Kong!" Ed ordered.
"Return the favor with a Bind Attack to make sure Bulbasaur takes all the hits!" Said Double Dee.
"(R - Right!)" James turned invisible as he attacked first!
"(Huh? Where did you go?!)" Bulbasaur looked everywhere as he was lifted with his two hind legs! "(Hey what the-?!)"
"(HIT IT!!)" The Sobble cried out.
"(Here I come!)" Kong used his Branch and SCRATCHED UP Bulbasaur!
"(I'm next!)" Willow exclaimed as she spat some Embers at the Bulbasaur from her mouth! "(Yes!)"
Bulbasaur couldn't move since he was held by James, and Bulbasaur took all the punishing hits until he couldn't anymore…
"(I tried my best…)" Bulbasaur fell on his belly and fainted after being dropped by James.
"And the final opponent in Hop's team is none other than Gloria!" Leon announced excitedly.
"It doesn't matter!" Gloria gritted her teeth, "Me and Squirtle will BOTH crush yer teams into ground beef!"
[Fury Boost arose Squirtle and Gloria!]

"(I'll… I'll… I'LL CRUSH YOU!)" Squirtle moved a lot faster as his Aura rose to boost his Speed, and Attacks.

Ed and Double Dee were about to attack but Eddy raised his arms to the side, blocking the boys.
"Stay back boys, this creep is mine and mine alone!" Eddy warned his friends.
"Go ahead, if ye wish to be defeated!" Gloria looked at Eddy with unnerving eyes that thirst for victory!
And so the other two Ed Boys recalled their Pokémon as Eddy squared up against Gloria.
"Squirtle, Boost Bubble!" Gloria ordered.
"Willow, dodge with Quick Attack!" Eddy ordered.
Just as Squirtle blew some fast bubbles, Willow put her paw on her forehead, charged at Squirtle, BLIPPED through the Bubbles and then KICKED Squirtle.
"Now, Double Kick!" Eddy ordered an uppercut in the air.
"Counter it with Tackle!" Gloria followed.
The Squirtle blocked the first attack with a kick on his shell, but the second time he got kicked, was on his back, putting him in his shell!
"Squirtle, get… UP!!" Gloria growled.
"Looks like your Squirtle is done for!" Eddy smirked. "Double Kick it to the Lake, Willow!"
"(Sorry, Squirt!)" Willow replied as she KICKED the Squirtle in his shell as it rolled on the ground onto the Lake, where it was attacked by Wild Fishes!
As Double Dee scanned the fishes, they were Arrokuda.
Arrokuda resembled a barracuda. They were very slim and had arrows on their sides. They also have a tail that resembles the back of an arrow.
Ed scanned the fishes.
"Arrokuda, the Rush Pokémon. If it sees any movement around it, this Pokémon charges for it straightaway, leading with its sharply pointed jaw. It's very proud of that jaw. After it's eaten its fill, its movements become extremely sluggish. That's when Cramorant swallows it up."
"Fish eaten here?" Asked Ed, being skeptical about this Cramorant.
"I guess it's all part of the Food Chain, Ed. But still, who is this Cramorant?" Double Dee questioned the Pokédex.
Squirtle got out of his shell and got out of the Lake, with a few scratch marks on him! He was in the Red Zone, but it activated a surge within him with a boost in Water Type Attacks. He glowed blue and water started levitating around him in an X position, with two ways crossing each other. Also, there was a Fiery Blue Aura resonating with Gloria and Squirtle.
"Yes!" Gloria smirked. "It's time… for yeu… TO BOW! Squirtle… BUBBLE FULL POWER!"
"Oh no!" Eddy was doomed for a second, but then he got an idea, he took out his Pokéball and hoped for the best.
"(EDDY!!!)" Willow cried out as she was bombarded with Bubbles in a huge watery explosion.

"Heheh… Now let's take a look at yer Scorbunny when she- WHAT?!" Gloria looked at the battlefield, and the one who was hit was Gene.
"(Rock… On…)" Gene wheezed as he fell to the side and fainted.
"An awesome play!" Leon announced. "Scorbunny dodges a Bullet Punch with that switchover with Zigzagoon! Zigzagoon may byme out, but Scorbunny's not out!"
"This is getting exciting!" Magnolia exclaimed.
"NOT LIKE THIS, NOT NOW, NOT EVAR!" Gloria boosted her Pokémon's Spirit Points, but it wasn't enough to resonate. "What?!"
"Game over, Gloria. For all that bullying may have paid off, but now I know how you play your cards…" Eddy frowned as he swung his arm out and summoned his Scorbunny back."Willow, Double Kick!"
Willow was summoned and she instantly attacked the same way as if she dodged the bubbles the first time she used Quick Attack.
The Squirtle flopped to his front side and fainted.
"No…" Gloria gasped with eyes widened.
"We did it…" Eddy mumbled in surprise.

"And so, Squirtle is unable to battle! The one who truly brought a Beginner's Champion Time is none other than Eddy and his Scorbunny, which means the winners are Ed, Edd and Eddy!" Leon pointed a hand at the Ed Boys.
"Oof! Gutted that I lost… But I'd expect nothing less from the Americans- Ehem! CANADIAN Americans.!" Hop replied with a defeated look.
"Well we did our best, and no regrets, right Hop? Gloria?" Asked Victor with a satisfied look.
"..." Gloria looked away and turned around.
Prize: 5 K Pokédollars (Money), 1 Refreshing Herb (Tea Ingredient), 2 Pokéballs (Balls)

"Gloria?" Victor asked Gloria. Gloria ran off deeper into Route 2 of the South. When Victor looked at her footprints, he saw tear drops. "Oh no…"
Victor followed Gloria as he ran with his speed.
"Uh oh." Hop looked at Victor headed Gloria's way.
"Talk about a sore loser!" Eddy replied. "I'd say sorry girl, but she had it coming…"
"Maybe now's not the time to rub it in, Eddy." Double Dee pitied his short friend.
"Oh well." Hop replied as he returned to his defeated state. "And I even got my Pokéball throw perfect, too!.. The sting of defeat and the joy of victory… I guess going through both is the key to us getting stronger, right?"
"Ed, Edd and Eddy. Hop, as well as Victor and Gloria." Leon walked to the boys. "Well after seeing a match like that one… I've got little choice but to give you all an endorsement as Champion!"

"Oh yes, one for me, one for Victor, and one for Gloria." Said Hop.
"As for you three, I promised THESE. AND I see Double Dee has one. So there's no need for another one. But a Sponsor shall do." Leon gave Ed and Eddy an Endorsement Sash, with a different Sponsor on each. For Ed, it was "Jackie's Apple Farm". And for Eddy, it was "Moomoo Milk Products".

"Yes!" Hop exclaimed as he put his Endorsement in his bag. "Thanks, Lee! I swear I'm going to win my way through the Gym Challenge to reach you!"
"You all may be young still, and plenty rough around the edges, but it was a proper battle." Said Leon. "Charizard and I were both feeling the excitement in every last cell in our bodies! Hop, you always tend to get caught up in things like how you throw your Pokéball out… Things that have nothing to do with real strength. And honestly, I'd been worried about you still obsessing with that sort of nonsense, but it seems that you really have grown a bit, Little Brother! And I'd like to see more thrilling battles with you, Ed Boys! Even if you are part American, or Canadian for that matter."
Gloria and Victor arrived back at the scene as if nothing happened.
"What I missed?" Asked Gloria.
"Well, well, it looks like we; Ed, Double Dee, Eddy, me, Victor and Gloria, (as well as Peonia, who for some reason is not here), are going to train up against one another to aim for that Champion's title!" Hop exclaimed.
"Ye mean we got endorsed?!" Gloria exclaimed.
"That's good news, indeed!" Victor crossed his arms proudly.
"The more we keep battling against one another, the more our Pokémon will grow." Hop explained his plot as he saw something caught his eye in the sky. "Huh? What's that?!"
Suddenly, a Purple and Magenta spark flew from the sky and landed on the edge of the pond! It was formed into a Star with a center, completing Six in total. Hop and every kid ran to the site, as Hop picked it up.
"No… way…" Gloria was surprised.
"Would you look at this?... They're Wishing Stars!" Hop exclaimed. "And there's one for each of us!"
Hop shared the Wishing Stars with the Ed Boys and his friends.

"I feel... energy…" Double Dee gripped on his Wishing Star as it glowed purple energy into his arm, feeling some surge in his muscles.
"With one of these, my Pokémon can Dynamax! They're gonna be massive! YES!" Hop exclaimed.
Leon and Magnolia came over.
"Trust you to pull something like this!" Leon happily congratulated his brother. "They say Wishing Stars fall down for those who have a true wish in their heart, you know."
"A shooting star!" Ed exclaimed. "I wish I had some Jawbreakers!"
Leon and Double Dee chuckled. "Good one, Ed."
"I will be the greatest trainer ever…No… I WILL be the greatest trainer ever!... I WILL BE THE GREATEST TRAINER EVER!!"Hop yelled on top of his lungs, so loud, that he scared away the Rookidee. At least that made Eddy happy for a moment. "There! I said it three times, so surely my wish will come true now, right?"
"Talk about corny…" Eddy's happy moment was ruined.
Leon and Magnolia look at each other as Magnolia spoke to Hop. "Don't be silly, Hop. Those Wishing Stars are composed of a curious sort of rock containing unknown power… They are one of the most precious resources we have here in the Galar region."
"Like a battery?" Double Dee asked. "My, the surge in my arm, it must be that powerful!"
"But they won't do a thing for you in that state. Give them to me now, and I'll have you sorted." Magnolia ordered.
"Ah, right." Hop replied back. "You've done HEAPS of research on the Dynamax Phenomenon, haven't you, Professor? Then please! Give us the power to Dynamax our Pokémon! First we got to battle those mad Pokémon in the Slumbering Weald, and now this… It really feels like we're getting caught up in the adventure of a lifetime!"
"I do understand your excitement, young man, but don't get carried away. You want to save your energy for tomorrow's journey!" Magnolia warned as she giggled.
"Seems I came back home in right in time for all the excitement!" Ms Sonia appeared next to Magnolia.
"MS SONIA!" The kids exclaimed.
"Hello, my former students!" Ms Sonia waved. "Why not have some dinner. You must be hungry, right? I've been totally obsessed with making the latest trendy curries. But I suppose I found this American Curry cookbook, and I want to try some of this style."
"Let's go!" The Kids exclaimed.
The day ended as the sun set on Magnolia's House, with a nice cookoff between Double Dee and Ms Sonia. Curry: Curry Pie. They were both equally good, apart from someone from Galar and another from Canada.
The Ed Boys and the Galarian Kids rested up their Pokémon and let each other play and train. Even Gloria grew fond of Eddy as a friend. But the talk with Victor had been the key to making new friends.
Until tomorrow, there shall be a new day appearing to everyone. Even the Cul-de-sac Kids… or how about… Lemon Brooke Kids?
