Trouble

The batch had had a rough few weeks and were in need of a vacation. They traveled home to Abydoa but decided to go up into the mountains to a cabin that they had rented. It was a beautiful place and everyone was excited.

"Hunter, when can we go swimming?" Omega wondered.

"Once we get settled in," Hunter answered.

"I can't wait to jump in and cool off. The last few missions have been brutal and hot. It's still hot." Wrecker exclaimed.

When everyone was settled in, they changed clothes and went down to the lake for a swim. Everyone put their stuff down and either ran into the lake or laid on a towel under the shade. Wrecker and Omega went for a swim and Echo sat on a boulder watching them. Hunter, Crosshair, and Tech sat under the shade resting for a bit. After a while, Omega ran onto the shore and grabbed Hunter's arm.

"Come on, Hunter. Come join us." Omega stated.

"Not right now, kid." Hunter groaned.

"Please."

"Fine."

Hunter got up and followed Omega up to a high place to jump into the lake. They swam and played for a while and then laid in the shade just taking in the fresh air. Everyone managed to relax and even doze off.

Omega woke an hour later and looked around. She saw that her brothers were still asleep and wanted to leave them alone, so she decided to walk around. She saw something move in the shadows and saw that it was a wolf pup.

"Hello, little guy." Omega gasped quietly. The wolf pup ran away and Omega carefully and quietly followed it. A little while later, she lost track of it and looked around. She had realized that she was in the middle of the woods and had forgotten her comms and her way back. Omega started walking trying to retrace her steps but eventually realized that she was more lost than she was before.

Back at the lake, Hunter woke up and noticed that the sun was getting ready to set. He sat up and yawned. He looked beside him and saw that Omega was gone.

"Omega?" Hunter murmured. When Hunter didn't hear or see Omega, he stood up. "Omega?" Hunter exclaimed.

"What is it?" Echo wondered.

"Where's Omega?"

"I… I thought she was taking a nap."

"She was right beside me. I didn't hear her move."

"I don't see her." Crosshair yawned as he sat up. "Go look for her, Hunter. The rest of us will pack up and look for her on the way back to the cabin."

Hunter nodded and looked around. He saw Omega's tracks and followed them into the woods.

Omega looked up at the sky and wasn't looking where she was going. She fell down a hill and when she landed, she was unconscious.

When Omega came to, she hissed and looked around, but her eyesight was blurry. She felt something sticky on her face and she pressed her hand to it. When she pulled away, she saw blood on her fingers. She heard the rustling of leaves and she looked around carefully.

"Is someone there?" Omega wondered. Omega heard growling and she gasped. "Please, Hunter, find me."

HUnter followed Omega's trail, and when it grew dark, he was still able to track her. He heard growling nearby and he pulled his knife from his belt. He looked around but saw nothing. He continued to track Omega till he came to the edge of a hill.

Omega heard noises above her and gasped. She looked up, but couldn't see anything. Her head was throbbing and she was too tired to move. Even turning her head was making her dizzy.

HUnter heard breathing and growling. He looked around carefully.

"Omega?" Hunter exclaimed.

"Hunter, I'm here. I can't move. I feel and… something's here." Omega replied shakily.

"I'm coming down."

HUnter carefully maneuvered his way down the hill careful not to fall or hit Omega. When he reached the bottom, he saw Omega and hugged her carefully.

"Hunter, I'm scared," Omega whispered.

"I know. You're safe now." HUnter hushed. Hunter heard growling and something behind him. He pulled out his knife and looked behind him and saw a wild beast. He couldn't tell what it was, but it didn't matter. This beast was angry and hungry. It saw prey and it wanted it now. As the beast charged, HUnter threw his knife hitting the beast in the chest killing it in moments. He removed his knife and went back to Omega who was still very much afraid.

"Omega, where are you hurt?" Hunter asked.

"My head hurts and it was bleeding. The rest of my body just feels really tired and sore. I want to go home." Omega murmured.

"Stay awake, kid. We'll get you home. Luckily, the moons are full tonight and are shining bright."

HUnter picked Omega up and managed to find their way back to the cabin. When they reached the cabin, the others were waiting.

"Tech, get the medkit and a couple of blankets," Hunter stated. Tech nodded and rushed inside. HUnter carried Omega inside and laid her down on one of the couches. When he saw her head, he hissed and examined it. "You have quite the gash and a big bump to go with it."

Tech handed Hunter the medkit and Hunter cleaned and treated Omega's head. He examined the rest of Omega and found that she only had bruises and cuts and scrapes.

"I'm sorry I ran off. I was chasing a wolf pup." Omega apologized.

"All that matters now is that you're safe. Hunter found you and you're safe and alright." Echo replied.

"But don't do this again. You nearly gave us a heart attack." Hunter warned.

"I won't," Omega promised. Hunter made sure Omega was comfortable and they allowed her to sleep. Omega kept her promise and never ran off again.

So I had someone ask about what the tag name is. It's another word for username or a pen name. It was also suggested that when I finish all these requests that I write a chapter separating all the stories into their proper AUs. I have a couple of stories outside of Moments that have FIves in them. If you want Fives or Crosshair included in your prompt, please say so when you request.
